OOC: Before posting in this thread, you must first have been called back by Healer Moretti. To be seen by the Healer, please post in the Check-in Area for Patients first then in the Waiting Room for Patients and Visitors.

Upon entering the Hospital Ward and Healing Area, you'll come upon a long hallway that eventually forks into two different directions. You'll want to proceed to the right, the direction that will take you to the Healing Area. Healer Moretti will be waiting for you. It is in the Healing Area that you'll receive the medical attention that will hopefully heal you right away and send you back to classes and your everyday life.

If, however, you aren't able to be healed right away and your character is in a rather serious condition, you will be escorted to the Hospital Ward, where you will receive further medical attention.

OOC: Once your character is seen and tended to, Healer Moretti will deem them "well" and able to return to classes/everyday life. If your character continues to suffer from repeat conditions, it's likely that he or she will be admitted into the Room for Quarantined Patients. If this happens, you will be temporarily placed in the "Quarantined" user group, and your posting in the school will be temporarily limited to the "Quarantined" thread only.

I will lock these threads once a session is finished. When a new session, and a new student is assigned to the room, the thread will be reopened.

The little blonde boy waited patiently (or as patiently as he was wont to be) in the middle of the room, his pale (DYED!) eyebrows arched slightly to cultivate a carefully bewildered and scared expression. He grasped one body elbow with his other hand and stood there, staring at the door to watch for the Healer to come in.

He really was a first rate actor when it came to faking illnesses and garnering pity. It was all the practice from his trying to gain his mother's attention.

Lilyan followed shortly, closing the door behind her, "What seems to be the problem today?" Because Merlin only knew what the boy's entry in her book was supposed to mean.

Pick an illness and stick with it, that was her philosophy.

He raised doleful eyes to the Healer's beautiful face, and almost sighed for the tragedy of it all. How lucky the inhabitants of Hogwarts were to have Lilyan Moretti as the Healer; to have her beauty be the balm to soothe them while they battled with their wounds and ailments...

"Just the same as what seems to be the problem everyday, Ma'am..." he said matter-of-factly, "However today as I was walking through the castle, I noticed an irregularity in my breathing, and it only proceeded to escalate and I could not for the life of me figure out what was causing it, or how I could get my breath to return to normal!"

He stopped talking, his normally pale cheeks tinted with a light pink from his excitement, "See? You see, madam?" he pointed at his chest, "It quickens even as we speak!"

Lilyan took her seat and listened carefully, "Oh dear, well, that does seem to be a problem, doesn't it? I suppose sometimes, merely thinking, and dwelling on something can make it worse. If you think too much about something you fear is wrong, then sometimes our minds like to play tricks on us."

Not that she was saying there wasn't something wrong to begin with, but it could very easily escalate. "Try taking a slow, deep breath." She really didn't need the kid to have a panic attack.

Welcome back to Hogwarts, Healer Moretti.

"Have you noticed this irregularity before?"

"Oh," Sally nodded eagerly, hearing his heart beating a mad drum beat in his ears, "Constantly, ma'am!" What did this meaaaan? It was so intense! Did he have a rare disease that she had only ever read of in the ancient books of healing and medicine? Was he to be used as an experimental and observational subject?

It was all so exciting that he completely forgot her instructions and his breath escaped in little gasps. He was SUCH a drama queen.

Uh Huh.

Lily stood from her seat and walked to the cabinets, she found the vial that she was looking for rather quickly and brought it back to the boy, "Here, drink this."

He was simply working himself into a tizzy, and a calming draught was just what he needed.

His desire to trust the Healer was somewhat overshadowed by his instinct to blow things completely out of proportion, and so he reached for the vial with utmost skepticism.

Sally eyed the contents for a moment before raising wary eyes to Moretti's, "Is this a sleeping draught so that I may not feel pain when you dissect me to uncover the root of my condition?"

He hoped there would be no pain. A small scar would be fine, however, so that he may have a souvenir to use as a prop in the future, when he would be forced to conduct interviews on his experience as a medical miracle.

Lily shook her head, "No dear, it's a calming draught, it will make you feel better, but not fall asleep." She hoped that he would take it and just believe that it was a magic cure of some sort, because she was really getting behind with the rest of her patients.

And the only way to deal with a situation like this, was to make them believe they had been cured.

"I'll tell you what, you take that potion for me, and I will check your breathing myself, just to make sure it's back to normal. Sound good?"

"Well..." he wanted to cure this malady, whatever it is, didn't he? "Alriiiight... I suppose..."

Sally raised the potion and he shut one eye to peer at the contents of the vial suspiciously, it looked safe enough... He raised the one eye to the Healer's face and pursed his lips as if he was about to say something contrary.

Then he decided against it, after all... this lady held his fate in her hands!

"And will you promise to give me regular check ups?" he asked in a small, scared voice.

Lily nodded encouragingly. "I do promise, but I'm sure there's nothing wrong with you dear, we will have a check, but I think you might just work yourself up worrying about nothing."

And she said that as softly, gently, lovingly and professionally as possible. Then she nodded her head again, "Go on, drink up."

Sally paused in the act of tipping the contents of the vial into his mouth, the neck of it resting on his lip as he regarded Moretti with suspicious eyes. WHY did she seem so eager for him to drink it?

Maybe...

Maybe... it was actually... a love potion, and she just wanted to make him fall in love with her, then she'd coerce him into marrying her so she could have his name and riches!

Perhaps he needed to take this, if it were really a calming draught.

He swallowed the tincture and... nothing. He sat there, staring owlishly at the Healer for a few moments... and smiled.

Hmmm. She let the boy give her all the weird looks he wanted, as long as he listened to her, and helped her help him, it was all good in her book.

Lily smiled back,"Feeling better?" She hoped so.

"Heeeyeaaaaaah..." he sighed, the confused half smile still on his face as he slumped in the seat, "I'm sorry..."

Sally couldn't say what had caused the sudden panic attack. He was always freaking out over the slightest cough or sneeze, one time as a child he'd taken six tests at St Mungo's because he had a mosquito bite on his neck that he was sure was actually an attempted vampire bite.

"Can I have more?" it would be useful to have a vat of that stuff at all times.

"Nothing to be sorry for, dear." Lily shook her head, then she stood and went back to the cupboard, "I'll give you a vial." She said, reaching for another, "But I will charm it to give you only a small amount at a time, it will refill itself after it is emptied, but if you feel like you need it again, go ahead and drink it once."

Actually, surprisingly enough, she had one already made up, the product of her run in with that one girl the term before last. "Here." She handed it to him, "This way you can have some with you, without having to worry about multiple vials, and the dose is small enough to be safe to take on your own, but big enough to be effective."

He turned to Caroline as she decided that he could come along and quickly got up to his feet to help her up, opting best to just pick the girl up bridal-style again and walk her into the room, following behind Nurse Moretti closely.

Inside the room, he gently set her down on one of the beds (assuming there's somewhere for her to sit/lay there) and flashed her a small encouraging smile. Hopefully the nurse would be able to help her. There was only so much carrying the skinny boy's lanky arms could do, and he was starting to feel guilty for pretending to be her boyfriend when they'd only just met.
So hopefully she'd be healed. And hopefully he wouldn't have much explaining to do.

Caroline let Braeden pick her up again. When they enter room one she helped Him as best as she could to get herself to sit down. She flashed him a thank you smile back to him. This was the first time in her five years that she had been in the Hospital wing. She looked around for a moment/ As she sat there she could feel her head start to throb. She pressed her hand against it. why was her head hurting she was that just for her ankle.

Braeden turned from the nurse to Caroline and then back to the nurse. Well, obviously Caroline couldn't explain exactly what had happened since she couldn't really remember things clearly before the fall, so... he had no choice.

"Well, we were out in the courtyard and then... Caroline started walking on the fountain," started Braeden, looking like he was confessing a crime. It wasn't his fault Caroline had fallen in, but... well he just had a guilty conscience. "Then she fell in; hit her head and hurt her foot," he explained rather bluntly, unintentionally. "I think her memory's been a bit... affected. She, uh..." Braeden glanced over at Caroline before leaning in toward the nurse and in a lower voice explaining, "She thinks we've been dating for some time now, but we've only just met." He returned to his spot like a good little boy and hoped the nurse would be able to help them. And wouldn't mention anything about how they're not supposed to be walking in fountains in the first place.

"Well, I suppose the first thing is first." She handed a pain potion to the girl. "After you drink that, I'll take a look at your head and your foot, and there won't be any pain." In other words, she wasn't going to do anything until she drank that potion.

Caroline took the potion from the nurse and looked at the potion. She opened it up and drank it. She shallowed and made a face like she had shallowed a lemon. Yuck she said thought. "That was terrible" she said. She nodded that she was now okay the taste was gone.

"First of all, is there anything else that may be a little bit fuzzy after you hit your head?" The boy had said she apparently thought he was her boyfriend, so what else could she be thinking that wasn't really true?

She examined the bump on the girl's head. It was swollen quite well, but not bleeding, and lucky not cut open.

Caroline shrugged. "I don't think so" she said. The pain potion was starting already the pain in her head and ankle was slowing up, a bit. "I wasn't sure why I was in the fountain, much less the courtyard, I was going to the library, I think"

Lily opened a jar that had a clear salve in it, and dipped two fingers inside. She traced her fingers over the lump on the girl's head and continued to do so until the swelling went down, and the small wound was healed.

From there, she kneeled to examine the ankle. "So no memory loss or anything that we should be concerned about? Are you feeling dizzy at all?"
