Welcome to the Hufflepuff Locker room. Along the wall you see lockers to store your school robes during practice or matches. You see loads of magical pictures displaying past Hufflepuff players. There is one of Nikolai Vannacutt on his broom flying high over the Quidditch Stadium. Another one shows Rapunzel Black dodging a Bludger. There is an emotional picture of Evy Abagnale hoisting the Quidditch Cup into the air with her teammates surrounding her. You can see Terry Weasley performing a outstanding save to keep a Hufflepuff lead. A picture of Miranda BelCanto, a former captain, is displayed with all Hufflepuff captains from the past years.
Hufflepuff colors of black and gold are everywhere. Quidditch equipment and robes are here for the new team to wear and use. There is an entrance to the pitch, too.
Come in, take a seat, and tune up your broomstick before heading out to practice or a game.
The locker room and practice pitch is the place where Hufflepuff Captain Melanie Lockhart will hold practices and post announcements. It is not a place for you to RP, unless your captain says that it's okay to RP getting ready for a game or when a game is over.
OOC-only comments are not allowed in this thread. If you have a question/comment, please send the person a PM.
Only those who are on the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team roster are permitted to post in this thread. The only exception to this rule are substitutes approved by the Quidditch Official. House prefects and school staff may also post in this thread when needed. | |

Melanie headed out to the pitch, broom over her shoulder and crate under her arm. She set it on the ground, and opened it up to release the snitch and the bludgers, watching them fly up and begin to circle the pitch, before grabbing the quaffle and slamming the crate shut. A grin came to her face as she turned to face the Hufflepuff players present. "Congrats on making the team everyone! As most of you know, our first game, against Slytherin, is coming up soon and we need to get some practice in. We'll start with some laps around the pitch." Yay, laps!
They mounted their brooms and took to the air.

Jake, meanwhile, seemed to have spotted the snitch. He dived for it, and, when Melanie squinted down at the grass she spotted him clutching the little golden ball between his fingers. A few seconds later he released it again, letting it flutter up to the goalposts.
Question Three: What is the spell to open the passageway that leads into Hogsmeade from the one-eyed witch statue?

Simon took a successful shot at the hoops, grinning as the quaffle soared through. Just as he was celebrating a bludger came by... but this time he was lucky enough to dodge it.
It came flying toward Jake, but Rene came to the rescue. She swerved in front of the other seventh year to hit the incoming bludger away, at the ground.
...And Jake spotted the snitch again, as he ducked. He grabbed it swiftly, before it could escape from his eyesight, a triumphant look on his face.

It was almost like catching the snitch was getting too easy for Jake. Melanie briefly considered bringing two or three snitches for him to chase after at practices, rather than just the one... Just because. He let his eyes follow the snitch until it disappeared, and then he took off around the pitch looking for it again, flying around the goal posts and then near the stands, where he seemed to have caught sight of the winged ball.
Melanie grabbed the Quaffle and tossed to back to Simon. Rene hit a Bludger away from the Chaser, and he chucked the quaffle through the goal hoop. Yay! Melanie gave him a thumbs up.
