Oblivious to the fight going on beneath her, Sierra continued to fly quickly around the field, gathering as much candy as she possibly could. Surely her bag couldn't hold much more. It felt like she'd stuffed a thousand pounds of candy inside it, even though she knew she realistically hadn't.

When she finally flew into an area that wasn't quite so populated with the candy, she was finally able to get a clear view of the object lurking about down on the ground. She widened her eyes as she took in the sight of the Snargaluff plant. Just then, she felt a sudden blow to her right side--the same side she'd landed on when she'd dislocated her shoulder during the last Quidditch game.

"Owww!" she yelled out, the pain in her arm taking her attention away from flying. She was only vaguely aware of the fact that she was falling, and a second later, she hit the ground--landing right on the same shoulder that had been crashed into seconds earlier.

Oohhh, CANDYYYY!

As Vashti flew her broom around and tried to collect as much candy as she possibly could, she felt her stomach rumble a little, as if it knew there were edible things flying around. She reeeeeeally hoped they might be able to eat the candy they collected at the end. That would officially make this final awesome.

But WHAT was that thing down there on the pitch? And WHY was it there? It better not have anything to do with Herbology...

She eyed it carefully for a few moments before happily turning her attention back to catching the falling candy. Sweets were way more important than a silly plant.

"Nothing grabbed your broom - it was the candy hitting your tail twigs," Vindictus replied as he continued walking towards the center of the pitch.

Suddenly, a large object dropped to the ground.

Sierra landed just a few feet away and he jogged over to her. "Are you okay, Sierra?" he asked and felt a few pieces of candy pelt the back of his head.

"But it did!" she replied...

Uh-oh... The Slytherin girl had fallen from her broom.
Emily crossed her fingers and hoped in all hell it wasn't her fault. But surely it wasn't her fault... she had only been aiming below herself- at the thing- and Sierra had fallen from above her... So surely... surely... it couldn't ahve been her.
She began to descend, avoiding the central area of the pitch.

"Professor.... " she said as she hovered beside him and Sierra.
"I think it was.... no... I'm sure it was... a snargaluff", she said this in a whisper.

"You think this old dead tree stump is a Snargaluff?" Vindictus asked incredulously as he straightened up and moved towards the so-called plant. As he got closer, it didn't move. Then Vindictus sat down.

"Okay. Why isn't the Snargaluff attacking me? Hmm?"

Simon managed to slow his descent a little but he still rolled, the continously falling candy not allowing him to focus enough to right himself and pull up out of the rolling dive. Suddenly he collided with another form, this one standing on the quidditch pitch groun. The quidditch captain falling on top of Professor Vindictus as he moved to check on the fallen Sierra who had hit the ground before her fellow collision victum.

Groaning in pain, Sierra rolled over to face Vindictus, her left arm clutching her right arm. Her shoulder felt dislocated again, but she was reluctant to tell Vindictus this, since she was afraid two flying injuries would keep her off the team next school year. "I'm---I'm alright," she half-whispered.

Then her eyes widened, and she looked up at the professor with a shocked look on her face. "There's a Snargaluff," she said, pointing in the general direction she thought she saw the plant in, "just over there. I saw it when I was still in the air." She tried to back away quickly, but the pain shot through her arm again, causing her to wince slightly.

WHY WAS HE APPROACHING IT!!!!........... Crazy! demented! Professor!!!.

What?! The stump didn't move.

Emily wasn't convinced... raising an eyebrow at the Professor, she racked her brain for some sort of explanation.
"But... but... it is I swear!" she said. Why on earth would she make something like that up. Hhhmm this reminded Emily of the time he hadn't believed her about the muggles- and she was right then... and she was right now.

It had moved, it had attacked her... he was up to something.

"But Professor... if its not a snargaluff... then why is there a dead old tree stump on your precious pitch? That doesn't make any sense."
Emily grinned and tapped the side of her nose. A thought had suddenly occured to her
"Oh sure... just a stump", she said.

Oh yes detective Emily was onto something... why would it be on the pitch? and it sure wasn't there during the matches this term... it had been placed there... therefore it didn't make sense for it to be just an ordinary stump.

Professor Vindictus was up to something... Emily just hoped the Professor knew what he was doing and that his stint as a Herbology Professor hadn't damaged his mind. Perhpas he had seeds in his head?

"This isn't a -" Vindictus protested again but he was cut short.

SMACK!

He was knocked onto his back by Simon who happened to land directly on the Flying Professor.

"You, too, Simon?" he groaned and felt his wand digging into his side. With his one free hand (the other was pinned behind his back), he pulled out his wand and pointed it at the tree stump on which his feet were now propped up on. Talk about an awkward and uncomfortable situation. "So much for having fun. Finite!"

The dead stump immediately turned into a crumpled up lounge chair - in fact, it was the exact same lounge chair that Vindictus was lounging in earlier in the lesson.

Emily's jaw dropped..... he had been playing tricks on them.... oh that was just great!
Of course she probably shouldn't have expected him to take his lessons seriously... let alone his exams!
Shaking her head Emily looked up at the sky, there was still some candy falling, one just happened to fall and hit her on the nose...

She rubbed it better.

When Vindictus spoke it was then Simon realized what had happened and he tried to fight the embarishment that rushed to the tips of his ears at least. "Um...I think so," he answered quickly but carefully moving to get off the older man. He winced slightly however as he put weight on his left hand and by extension wrist to then help himself to his feet and settled for sitting on the ground at the moment. The disappearance of the faux threat making it appear safe again.

Great just great. Safe through practices and games and its the flying final where I possibly wrench something.

He then noticed Sierra figuring out it was she who he first collided with. "I'm sorry Professor...Sierra. I shouldn't have looked down at the plant...well illusion and miss pulling away in time."

"It's okay, Simon," Vindictus replied as he continued to lay there as if injured. "Care to hand me a few chocolates?"

"Of course," Simon replied looking around the fallen candies around him including his toppled bag and picking up a few before handing them over to him. "You ok sir?" he asked as Vindictus was still laying down on his stomach, the sixth year feeling a little guilty.

Vindictus rolled over. "Yeah, I'm okay," he said and smiled his thanks to Simon who handed him some chocolate. "I've taken worse shots during my playing days and early officiating days."

He lay there and ripped open the first chocolate. "So, um, if you're done collecting candy, class dismissed!" Vindictus popped the chocolate into his mouth.

Mmm...much better.

After dismounting her broom, Emily walked it over and placed it back on the broom rack. Emily examined her bag... it wasn't full, but she didn't need or want any more candy... all she wanted now was a nice ice cold glass of pumpkin juice and a shower.. and possibly a nap.

"Thanks for the um... interesting exam Professor", she said as she made her way off the pitch in the direction of the castle.

Rex missed the BANG!!. Rex leaves the classroom.

Ooooooooooh, thank Merlin the exam was over and that stump was nothing more than a stump enchanted by Professor Vindictus to move around.

Kurumi slowly maneuvered herself towards the ground until she was close enough to dismount her broom. Her eyes glanced over at the stump still not trusting it completely. She was not going to keep making assumptions around this man. What was it the Headmaster was always telling them? Constant vigilance!

Holding her purple bag in one hand, Kurumi returned her broom to where she had got it and returned to where the professor was, along with his suspicious looking lawn chair.

“Th-Th-Thank you for this year, Professor Vindicus,” she said bowing slightly. And sorry that I am such rubbish with your subject.

Kyle landed softly - shockingly when every other time she'd try to be on the non clumsy side of things she'd end up ontop of books or well. Just face planting into something. That was when she noticed that infact the person who had landed on Professor Vindictus was the guy she'd face-planted infront of just days earlier.

"Oh hi you alright?" She asked Simon smiling, "seems everyones being well, clumsier than ever lately" she was trying to make light of the situation after all she was still a little embarassed about face-planting into a pile of books.

Then she couldn't help but notice how easily Professor Vindictus had taken it. "Thanks for the Exam Professor Vindictus it was a lot of fun" she smiled still holding onto the purple bag of candies - about eight pounds of sweets in it. She was mainly excited for the possibility of raspberry jellybeans - but the idea of vomit and other flavors made her well...apprehensive miss-not-so-lucky wasn't in the mood to try her luck right now. She'd probably save the jellybeans for the train or packing her backs.

Sticking a jellybean in her mouth she immediately took it out. "Just my luck...its vomit" Kyle threw it in a near-by trash put the broom away making to leave the classroom. Throwing a chocolate in her mouth to well, get rid of the horrid taste of bile. Ew. The chocolate did the trick.

Ah thank God. Nika could finally breath again. Flying final check. Although she knew that she didn't do so well Nika was proud that she made it out in one piece. Next term she should get some more practice on a broom.

Wait. Wait.

Everything happened in 5 minutes. People were falling down, even on Vindictus, and then one of the Ravenclaw Chasers was being attacked by a plant? Was that was Treyen noticed in the ground? Except...it wasn't a plant anymore, it was Mr. Professional Athlete's lounge chair. Yeah, good one. And now they were dismissed? But then...what attacked the Ravenclaw girl???

Treyen wanted to ask what they were going to do with the candy they caught but decided against it in case Vindictus thought it appropriate to keep his bag. His purple bag. Pretty purple.

And now the boy was zooming down and getting off the broom. "Thanks Professor!" for the candy! The fourth year took his customized broom, his purple bag, and left the Pitch, eying the lounge chair one last time.
