So, the next stop is the exciting Blue Whale, Marine & Reptile Gallery
As you enter the large room, the bone theme is still present - you notice this if you look up to see several sea creatures' skeletons hanging from the ceiling. By the walls are a couple of replicas and parts of fishes, like sharks and those things that live so deep underwater you might never have known them.
Some of them even have names associated with the Wizarding world, like this big lizard, called Komodo Dragon. This gallery has more to offer, but don't worry, the class will get to them soon.
Maya kept walking and finally stopped to stand infront of what looked like a dried out fish with a thing poking out of it's head. "What... is this?" She hoped to hear some fun answers. Unless everyone in this class was supersmart. Meh."Give me your best guess." Come onnnnn.
Blink."Yes, changing the name wouldn't really help it that much...but what about us helping the creature?" That was the question, yo.
"You all had very good and valid points. Thankyou for sharing them." They could discuss this until they got kicked out of the museum, hehe. That, however, reminded her that this class should return to school soon. "With this wonderful discussion, and probably more questions floating around your heads, it is time for us to wrap this lesson up." She nodded and looked around, just to make sure everyone was still with the group. Hehe. "I'll let you have half an hour to look around this room before we head back." A small smile stretched her lips, though quite quickly her eyes narrowed as if expecting them all to go crazy. As soon as they were ready, the alley near the museum was calling for them. HEH.
OOC: This lesson has ended! I'll leave the thread open until Midnight EST so you can answer Maya (if you wish), ask something else or whatever, and let your characters say bye bye to the museum This is not an invitation for your characters to run amok in the museum, beyond the room they are in, and raise attention.

A faint frown crossed her face as she looked from Ellie to Saylen. "Can we take three trips? And can I ride on the last leg?" Or could they go and find a floo? That was much better than apparating.
And then she was grinning and bouncing a little when Ellie chimed in on the souvenirs. Now she was practically begging the woman in a childlike manor. "Please? Juuust a little one? I have money." Maybe. She possibly had a small amount of muggle money in the bottom of her Mokeskin pouch.
... American money. Minor detail.

Well, yes, probably, but he certainly hoped that no whale had such an ability. Perhaps the Giant Squid could do so if it wished, it's not like he wandered too much in the lake.
He...had no more questions.
And, whilst the lesson have been a very GOOD one, he wouldn't admit it. Not to Saylen, that's why he simply nodded and looked around. Keeping close to Mr. Stryker, by the way, just in case Ellie's suggestion managed to become the real thing.

"Well the ocean seems more harder to hide something as big as a blue whale in. It's more empty of fishes. When on land a dragon can be hidden in parts without muggles coming by it easier." K-Lee thought about her answer a little more.
"I suppose you can put muggle-repellent charms on parts of the ocean, but it would be harder to keep whales in that area. Don't whales migrate?" She finished, proud of her answer. Buuurrrrnnnn professor!
Jacob pushed his way to the front of the crowd in front of the extinct, yet not extinct bird... How did that Make any sense? But he did know one thing.
"I WANNA PET IT!" He yelled loudly.
Yes he wanted to pet it so much... he wanted to pet it so very much. Unlike the whale... he wanted to touch this one. The whale would like eat him. But he wanted to try and chop it up and fit it through a door... Someone get Jacob his Sword... He wanted to chop the whale!
Jacob cleared his throat as if he'd never screamed the other statement. "Professor, The Dodo bird was hidden because of its... ability." he said trying his best to be cautious of how he wording things around the muggles. "Whales don't really have anything that would make our community take interest. If the Whale could like fly or something then the ministry should have already taken action on the creatures population issue. But seeing as they don't have any abilities like that... our community as a whole probably wouldn't take it upon ourselves to really do anything about it." thats just how it went. If a person doesn't get benefits from it or it doesn't affect them directly, they don't really do anything.
And they were going back now? Well that was disappointing

Maya put her hands on her hips as she blinked at this young man who suddenly decided to start yelling about petting...something. What? Nice pushing, though he should use more elbows.
And then like nothing happened, the boy spoke normally. Fine. Maya couldn't be bothered to tell him off. "That is interesting. Thankyou for sharing that. And you have a point...that it's sad the creature's survival might depend on what it can or cannot do." Poo.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm...souvenirs? Maya had been hoping no one would ask this...considering they had to get back, PLUS she wasn't sure the kids could handle the excitement. Just think back on their meeting with the robotic Dinorawr.
But, she guessed they had a couple of more minutes before they closed this place. And before Guacamole and tortillas waiting for her at Hogwarts. "Allright. If everyone wants to, let's head over to the Gift Shop then." HAH, like they had a choice. They'd all better follow her. Hehe.
Walking out of the gallery, the shop was quite close by, and Maya stopped outside of it to give everyone a narrow stare. Hehe. "Anyone who wishes to get something to buy, to take home, can do so. We still have some time before we return." Merlin, please don't let anyone run around and break something. She was not getting them out of trouble. "If anyone wishes to exchange their money to buy something," Galleons for pounds, "Come to me and I will help you." She wasn't going to tell them how much money she had with her...but she figured it was enough for everyone to exchange and get what they want.
That Ravenclaw boy better not start yelling 'I want to lick the t-shirts!' or something. Thank goodness there wasn't any ice around.

Gift shop! Yes! K-Lee followed the professor into the shop and instantly raced to look at the merchandise. After looking around for a good few minutes, K-Lee found something she wanted. It was a soft toy snake! Perfect for Slytherin spirit. It was so cute! And oh look, it's a monkey! She wanted that too!
"Professor, can I have my money changed please for these!" She could so freak people out with the snake and monkey. Especially the snakey. Grrrrr, snakey! Grin.

Maya stepped inside the shop and scanned the large room. There was alot of things in here. Anything she wanted to buy...?
"Ofcourse." the Mexicana adressed the young girl, reaching into her bag but looking at the girl. "How much do you want to change?" Hmmm?
With her hands in her pockets she followed everyone into the gift shop. "Oh, the gift shop. My favourite part!"
She walked around browsing at the different items. She wanted something, but everything was just boring. Eventually she decided on a bookmark with a whale on it. Meh. She shrugged then realised she had no muggle money on her. Great. She cpudn't be bothered to fiddle with money, so she put it back and continued looking. She wanted to go back to school...

The teen badger was waiting, BOUNCING, with bated breath as the professor contemplated letting them get gifts. But how could she not? It wasn't every day one came to the national museum on a field trip. They should have something tangible to remember the trip by.
It felt like FOREVER, but when she finally agreed a grin split across her face and she skipped behind the professor, sparing a quick glance back at Elle. They made a great team. Hehe. And since she was already beside the woman, she didn't have to wait in a line to have her coins exchanged. Yay! Pulling out her mokeskin pouch, she dug around until her hand came in contact with a few coins. "Can I have..." Pulling the coins out she counted. "Five galleons worth, pleeease?" Giggle. Best lesson EVERR.

She'd never enjoyed shopping of any sort, and would rather look at the exhibits. That was more important, right? This is a lesson, no?

Emily's eyes widened as she searched her pockets for money, muggle or wizarding,...
after some time she exchanged her Galleons for muggle British Pounds and entered the gift shop.
It was amazing how a room with a large number of overpriced items could bring people so much joy and excitement.
So many toys, so many books... they even had really nice prints here.
In the end Emily purchased an A5 peacock notebook, and a pretty pair of blue agate mineral stone bookends.
Yes... it was clear why she was in Ravenclaw... books... noteooks.... bookends... bookmarks .... books... writing implements..... and the list continues. BUT... the common denominator is..............*drumroll*......... Books!
Emily rejoined the group with her bad from the gilfshop full of her goodies. She was tempted to buy a plush toy of either the T Rex or the blue whaloe and then charm it when they got back to the castle, but decided she wouldn't... purely based on the fact that she had long grown out of soft toys- charmed or not.
Charley muddled around behind Belle with her hands in her pockets. I couldn't be more bored right now...
She'd never enjoyed shopping of any sort, and would rather look at the exhibits. That was more important, right? This is a lesson, no?
She tried not to let her mind wander too much.
"Find anything you'd like?" she asked Belle.
"I can help you with conversions if you want. I have some muggle money on me," she added in a soft voice. The last thing they needed was someone overhearing them.
Belle heard Charley's voice. She jumped and didn't realize she was lost in her own world. "Oh hey charley! Eh nah i don't want anything to be honest, i rather save money for honeydukes, zonkos and the three broomsticks." she whispered quietly. "Did you find anything?" she asked. Belle's little intrest was into stuffed animals but she didnt know if they had her favorite animal here.

The teen badger was waiting, BOUNCING, with bated breath as the professor contemplated letting them get gifts. But how could she not? It wasn't every day one came to the national museum on a field trip. They should have something tangible to remember the trip by.
It felt like FOREVER, but when she finally agreed a grin split across her face and she skipped behind the professor, sparing a quick glance back at Elle. They made a great team. Hehe. And since she was already beside the woman, she didn't have to wait in a line to have her coins exchanged. Yay! Pulling out her mokeskin pouch, she dug around until her hand came in contact with a few coins. "Can I have..." Pulling the coins out she counted. "Five galleons worth, pleeease?" Giggle. Best lesson EVERR.
First customer. Hehe. "Yes, ofcourse." Maya nodded now taking out the Pounds she had some trouble figuring out when she first got to London. "Five galleons equals... Twenty-five Pounds." Yes, because...yes. Counting the money, she handed it to the young girl. "There you go." Eeep, childe, don't spend it all.
Should... Maya stop her or something?
Nah, the young girl knew what she was doing...probably. Yes.

Jaina was tagging along with her friends looking at everything. She adjusted her kerchief once more to make sure that her hair was covered. She glanced at everything. as the two chatted. Then, at the memory of their Hogsmeade trip, Jaina started laughing. She leaned in close to the girls and said, "On a positive note, nothing will attack you in here." She gave him a smile and darted her eyes down to the jewelry to see if maybe Mr Stryker would allow him to come over to her so she could show him since getting it as a surprise was out of the question.
Ellie waited patiently while Arya exchanged her money. Cuz that's what good companions did, right? Plus, she needed to exchange money of her own.
Once the whole currency issue was settled, the redhead strolled off to the giftshop. After briefly standing in the doorway for a moment, to figure out a plan of attack, she headed right for the stuffed toys. They were cute and cuddly and Ellie wanted one. Or more.
"Lookit!" she pointed, "It's Babbity Rabbity!" It totally was.

K-Lee looked at the muggle money in interest. It was so different! "Thanks profesor!" K-Lee said, handing over 6 galleons.
Taking her muggle money to the counter, she purchsed her two adorable soft toys, finding that she had some change left over. Maybe one time in the muggle world she could get something muggle with it. She couldn't be bothered exchanging it.
She hugged her two new soft toys. They were so squishy and cuddly!

Arya took to rocking on her heels as she watched the professor count out the exact change. Not to see if she was doing it correctly, she was much too excited to convert the money and she trusted the woman, but because she was EXCITED. Grinning, she took the funny looking money.
"Thanks, Professor Saylen!"
Skipping into the shop, she did her best to calculate how much it would be in American dollars, but quickly gave up when she saw the stuffed animals and heard her new partner in crime speak up.
