Brittany walked pass the hour glasses on her way to the common rooms. She smirked to herself when she saw that the ravenclaws had already lost 10 points and it was just the first night. She could already tell this year was going to be great

Walking past the hourglasses as Vashti headed for her dorm, she stopped in her tracks and her jaw dropped when she caught sight of the Ravenclaw hourglass. Negative ten points. NEGATIVE?! After the FEAST? They LOST points?!

Well didn't that just completely ruin the rest of her already unhappy night. Perhaps even tomorrow. Gosh. This term was NOT off to a good start for her.

Kurumi wasn't sure she totally understood this whole house point thing. She would have to ask Cam or Brant about it. She was even more unsure as to why Gryffindor was already minus 5 points so soon after the feast. That must have been Josh's doing. The hourglasses were so tall compared to her. "I hope I can earn myself some points," she whispered.

Heather ran up to Kurumi the moment she saw her and was smiling; until she saw the hour glasses. "N-negative five? How did that happen?" she asked, telling kurumi that heather's presence was there. She smiled once more as kurumi looked at her. she had heard what kurumi whispered to herself.

"i'm sure we can earn as much points as we can, kurumi!" she said. "my parents told me if we keep away from trouble and do our school work properly, and follow the rules, then, we can earn some points!" she added eagerly.

"I think I have an idea of whose fault it was," Kurumi giggled turning to face Heather. "At least, if he if going to live up to the reputation he told me about." It had been one hectic feast up to this point, and it was nice to get some more face time with Heather - not to mention it was also nice talking to someone else who had a strange eye color. "I wounder what classes will be like...what are you looking forward to the most?"

Heather watched Kurumi giggle. "who do you think it was?" she asked, not knowing who it would be herself. She had yet to meet more faces in her house and talk with them. so far, she's managed to be friends with a few. One full house to go!

She looked back at the hourglasses, listening to kurumi wonder how classes would be like and asked her what she was looking forward to the most. Heather had a ready answer for that.

"well, defense against the dark arts..." she blushed, remembering her reason. It's not because her mom was good at it and her dad pretty much fair on it when they were hogwarts students.

She could've gone for classes such as Transfiguration, History of Magic, Astronomy or Care of Magical Creatures, but she chose to be eager on the subject that tackles dark arts-which she was afraid of.

"w-well, i-it had the word 'defense' on it...and i-i want to learn to be able to defend myself and to p-protect any one i care about-if they were in danger." she finished. "and, i'm also looking forward for astronomy. i love looking at the stars. how about you Kurumi?"

Kurumi laughed remembering how Josh had mentioned that he was the master of everything and that included losing points for his house. "Do you remember Josh? He asked you if you wanted to dance on the table," Kurumi asked, but started bursting out laughing at the thought of Heather getting up on the Gryffindor table and dancing. Kurumi would have felt as though she had to come to the rescue and would have danced with her. Talk about the most ridiculous first impression by first year students in the history of Hogwarts - maybe there had been worse. "I think he may have done it." She listened at Heather talked about what classes she would like to take. Defense Against the Dark Arts was certainly something she was interested in as well, but it wasn't in her top two at the moment. Although...after reading through the book Ling gave her, she may change her mind. "I am really excited for Care of Magical Creatures. I love everything about them. I can't even imagine what sort of wonderful creatures and beings I will get to see and touch," she replied with sparkley eyes. "Also Transfiguration, maybe there I can figure out what is going on with my hair...Oh! And Flying! I can't wait to get on my broom!"

Joshua? he's the one responsible? well, he may look like it, remembering that he had asked her to dance on the table. She did find it funny though and couldn't help but laugh along with Kurumi, not knowing what she really laughed about.

oh yes! Transfiguration, Care of magical creatures and Flying! Heather liked such subjects. it amused her how her mom could turn a book into a tea cup whenever she needed to drink tea in their study without having to bother getting up and going to the kitchen. She found it quite interesting to also see more magical creatures; not just the moving pictures in the books she'd read before. Then flying, oh flying. it was heaven. Heather had not tried flying on her own, but her dad took her on a ride once, and she remembered clearly how her mom would scold her dad when they'd go flying the broom inside the house.

"It's really amazing, Flying, i mean. once you try it, you'll really enjoy it." heather told kurumi, imagining kurumi riding a broom fantastically. "oh...i hope we get to really touch and take care of some magical creatures! And i'm excited to do transfiguration! i've always wanted to try and turn something into a tea cup."

Cassandra headed for the hourglasses at Heather's insistent requests and she had to laugh "Negative 5? is this serious? Class hadn't even started and yet Gryffindor already lost 5 points!"

"CAAAASSS!!" Heather had once again lost all meekness. she went to hugging her best friend and then letting go quickly afraid to choke cassandra to death. "hey, we get to be together again!" heather said, as she held cass and kurumi's hands.

Kurumi laughed. These two were very close and she was very curious as to how these two met, not to mention what Cassandra thought was a chore about Heather. "Hello again, Cassandra," Kurumi smiled as Heather swung their arms around like some strange three person dance.

Cassandra took a deep breath when Heather had finally released the choke - she mean hug - on her. Honestly, one of these days, she would just die of suffocation. Cass flashed an embarrassed smile at Kurumi and said "Hey, Heather said you wanted to ask me about something?"

Kurumi looked around Heather's head so she was looking at Cass. "I was just wondering what you meant earlier...you know...when you mentioned something being a chore?" She wasn't sure if this was something sensitive to Heather or not.

Cassandra glanced at Heather for a moment, who was now staring the crystals in the hourglass with obvious amusement, then she looked back at Karumi and said "Oh yeah, about that. Well, you can't hide the fact that dealing with Heather could be very tiresome. Don't get me wrong or anything, I love her, I do. Its just that...she can be a handful. Normally, I don't trust anyone with Heather, but I think I'm ready to make an exception."

She could tell that Heather was very important to Cassandra by the intensity in her eyes. She would have to ask how they met in a little, right now was not the right time. "She does tend to get lost," Kurumi sighed looking over at Heather who was very entertained by the sparkly gems. "I'll to do my best."

Cassandra laughed "Yeah, she does. One time, I told her to go to Madame Malkin's and she ended up in the north end of Diagon Alley." Then her expression became somber once more as she turned towards Heather "Thanks, I'm counting on you."

Kurumi nodded and a wave of chivalric emotion wrapped around her...making her hair start to turn a burnt orange color. "How did you and Heather meet? You two seem really close," Kurumi asked. She was also very interested in learning more about Cassandra as well.

Cass smiled at the memory of when she met Heather. "It was in one of mother's social functions. All the pureblood Slytherin families were invited, and of course that included the Gaunts, which was Heather's Mom. I didn't really like her at first..."

"but...Mom wasn't in slytherin..." Heather came back to Kurumi and Cass. "and my grandparents didn't hate her for that either..." she sighed. Wizarding family situations are complex, but somehow, she likes the fact that her grandparents didn't disown her mother after not being a slytherin and marrying a muggle-born. she's heard that some were disowned because of that.

"so..." she tried to change the topic. "what did i miss? sorry, i got distracted...the hour glass were just so fascinating..."

Cass sighed as she shook her head, honestly, what was going on with the families these days? Don't they understand a thing about blood purity? She looked at Heather and decided to keep her mouth shut about her opinions on muggleborns, she was far too tired to get into a fight with her right now. "Nothing much. I just told Kurumi how you got lost in Diagon Alley."

Heather blushed madly. "h-hey!!" she muttered. whenever she gets lost, it was always embarrassing to her and most of all embarrassing when someone tells someone else. "i...i can't help getting lost..." she pouted.

Savannah looked at the hourglasses straight ahead, noticing no one was really winning. She hoped Slytherin could win again, hehh. Of course, Savannah didn't care much for the House Cup, she didn't really gain anything out of it besides bragging rights. The blonde looked down at her flats and sighed, she needed to head down to the common room soon, it was getting kind of late.

Sigh.

Fee was exlporing the castle as she got to the Hourglasses. Hopefully Slytherin would win. Who else?!
She was about to carry on her walk as she saw Savannah standing there.

"Savvy", she smiled sweetly,"Havent seen you in what seems like ages."
*Giggle*
"How are you?"

Savannah looked away from the hourglass, surprised to see someone else standing there. It was FEE-FEE! One of her newly adopted MINI!Savs. They were just popping up around the castle like crazy, not that Savannah was complaining or anything. She LOVED seeing her little fisties. The blonde's green eyes shifted down to the girls robe, Slytherin of course. No shock there. "I'm fine. How has your first day of your first year been ?"Savannah asked, looking over at the girl. Poor firsties, they had to deal with this place for seven more years. Snort, Savannah was glad she was getting out of here as soon. Of course, Savannah was going to miss certain people like her MINI!Savs.
