"Nice to meet you," Nolan repeated with a small chuckle. Right. Josephina was Arithmancy. And Lily was Healer, and Lexi was Charms...he'd get there.

AHA! He knew he had seen her somewhere before. Even though that was over a decade ago, her face had jogged something in his memory when she first walked in. "Oh, I knew I recognized you from somewhere! Forgive me, between trying to learn all the students AND my new colleagues, I may not have even recognized my own co-prefect if she walked in," he joked.

Second thoughts were totally happening. Would it look weird if she left now? Cela tried to put one of those oh-my-gosh-I-totally-just-remembered-somewhere-I-have-to be faces, but it was very forced and her nerves were showing through. It was just getting the better of her. She stood up and tried to flee for the door.

Blink. As Nolan waited for this new professor lady to answer him, he noticed that the Head Girl first looked like...well, he wasn't sure what she looked like, exactly. She made a weird face, and then, before he knew what was happening, she was off! Blink blink. Nolan cleared his throat and half stood out of his chair.

"Erm, Miss Toussaint? Are you alright?" he asked. Oh Merlin, she wasn't going to throw up in his office or something was she? He was NOT GOOD with vomit. More often than not it made HIM...yeah, not good.

...oh.

Raiden reached out and grabbed Cela's wrist as she made for the door, gripping just tightly enough that she wouldn't be able to pull away without his letting her. A slight frown creased his forehead, and he gave her arm a slight tug.

"Cel... where are you going?" She'd totally been waiting forever to see the professor, so she wasn't leaving now was she? They hadn't even said a word to him yet...

Errr.

"No... yes." Celandine sat down instantly, perching on the arm of Raiden's char and gripping at his hand, the one that he'd caught her wrist up with. "I'm... alright. I just..." She began to answer the professor and trailed off and then admitted, peeking at Raiden, "I'm nervous. I'm just nervous."

At least consistency was always very evident at Hogwarts, seeing how Nolan's antics didn't change AT ALL since they were students. He still - for instance - seemed like the gawky, nerdy boy with his head in the clouds crystal balls and tea leaves.

"It's fine. It has been over ten years," Josephina defended him for some strange reason. Glancing over at the Head Girl and Slytherin Prefect, she had to frown for a moment. They seemed sort of strange . . . quiet. Perhaps waiting for an empty room with their Divination Professor? Sigh. "Oh! I know I just dropped in, but I just remembered something I had to do before dinner. So I'll catch you some other time, N- Professor? Bye!" Offering him a quick smile, the Arithmancy professor spun on her heel and left the office.

"Oh, alright. Thanks for stopping by, we'll have to catch up another time," Nolan said with a smile as she left. HMMM. He knew her face looked familar, and now that she had introduced herself the name definitely rang a bell...how ironic that he, a Divination professor, had such a horrible memory.

"Now, you two...what can I help you with?" he asked, wrinkling his eyebrows at the Head Girl. "Nervous? Why do you feel like that. I don't bite, I swear," he assured her with a playful grin. He didn't want her to freak out and try and run again. He was here to help her. As much as he could, at least.

Okay the cute factor made Celandine settle down and she smiled back tentatively, still with a death grip on Raiden's hand.

He could go first and then he could stick around for her turn. Or his hand could at least.

Ahhh, good. She sat down again. Nolan smiled as the Head Girl settled back into her chair, and when he got the impression that she was still going to remain silent for the time being, he turned to Raiden.

"So, let's start with you, Mister Kururugi. What can I help you with?" he asked.

Oh Merlin his fingers were going numb. Raiden glanced at the hand that Cela was apparently trying to amputate; his fingers were definitely several shades redder than they should ever have been. With his free hand, he patted Cela's, hoping that would lead to her loosening her grip a little bit, and looked at the professor.

Apparently whatever Cela was here for was important, if she was this nervous. But she didn't seem like she was going to tell him any time soon...

"I uhm... I just wanted to apologise, sir. For having missed your first class." He bit his lip and tried to muster a slight smile past the guilty look. "I fully intended to go to it but... I was a bit detained."

And had missed two classes, at least, and Merlin knew what else. He glanced at Cela, wondering if that was why she was here too.

"Me too. That." Celandine agreed. But it wasn't why she was here. She loosened her grip on Raiden's hand a bit. "Did we miss much?" She asked almost timidly. Buying time a bit, she was.

Missed his first class? Well, why did they do a silly thing like that?! Nolan blinked a few times and wrinkled his brows, trying to remember if there was anything going on around the time of his class that would have prevented students from showing up...a mysterious illness perhaps? Attacks by the giant squid? OH WAIT. Now he remembered! When the prefect said detained he meant in DETENTION. Quite literally detained. Ahhhhh.

"Don't worry about it. It was just one lesson and as long as you keep up your homework and read up a bit on tea leaves, you should catch up in no time," he assured the two. "And considering the circumstances surrounding your detention...you're off the hook," he added with a wink. Especially the Head Girl--he'd heard that she TACKLED the professor or something. Good. She deserved it. Not that he'd say that out loud though--the last thing he wanted was a visit from HERRRR. Yes. The wink would suffice.

"Anything else I can do for you two today?" he asked them with a smile. He had a feeling that there might be something more...they seemed a bit too nervous for just that. Or was he imagining things?

Cela missed the wink. She was too focused on the next part.

"I think..." Maybe she should go talk to Kapoor, he was less intimidatingly cute and unknown, "... I think I need help with some things."

There.

Nolan's mind immediately jumped to the conversation he'd had with Chris. Apprently, his prediction that she'd come to him on his own for help was correct--assuming they were thinking about the same thing, of course.

"Help? What kind of help? I'd be happy to assist any way I can," he told her, giving her the opportunity to explain some more. He didn't want to jump to any conclusions right away.

Celandine gave the professor a sort of defeated look and sighed. "I always liked to pretend like I wasn't one. And I tried to ignore things like they'll just go away if I did. But it didn't. It happens more and more and last term was the worst. I knew and I talked to Prof.. Mr. Kapoor about omens and stuff and I didn't tell him even though I should have and maybe he'd have been able to help and if I'd told about the coupons and what I Saw, then maybe people wouldn't have been hurt and I wouldn't have been kidnapped and thing is, the more I try not to, the more I try to surpress it, the worse they are when they happen and its like I'm not myself and then I get confused between what happened and what didn't and what is a dream and what is real and sometimes stuff just slips out and I don't even realise it."

It was like the flood gates had magically opened, and suddenly Cela spilled it all--or at least Nolan HOPED that was all. It was already quite a head scratcher, he didn't want to know there was even MORE she was going through.

"Wow, that is definitely...quite the dilemna," Nolan said with a sigh. He glanced at the Slytherin prefect--he seemed trustworthy, especially if Cela was allowing him to stay there while she spilled all this, so he could go ahead and give her information about himself without the boy telling, he was sure. Many had guessed by now, he figured.

"I can't say I can relate TOO much...while I've pretty much accepted that I have the ability to SEE, I'm afraid it hasn't exactly matured as well as I would like...the most I've been able to do is figure out the name of my sister's husband years before she met him, as well as the day they met and the day they'd marry," And still, part of him was convinced it was a fluke. An accident. "So I can't really say I know exactly what you're going through. But I do believe that the more you try and get rid of your visions, the more they're going to torment you. Can you feel when they're coming on? I know some people experience a bit of a headache and have some idea when they're going to see something monumental...if so, I'd recommend maybe carrying about Calming Draught with you. You could take it when you feel the visions coming on, and then they might be less...stressful for you," he suggested. "I know some people take that before going to bed to escape horrifying nightmares, the same might work in this situation." Assuming they didn't make her so tired she passed out or anything. Unconscious Head Girl was NOT good.

"As for the events next year...it's no good to dwell on the past," he advised her with a frown. "You're just going to continue worrying about it if you do. I'm glad you came to me, though--talking about it helps, it really does." Hmmmm, would she be insulted if he considered a shrink? Not cause he thought she was crazy, just...someone to talk to.

"I usually know stuff about babies." Celandine offered, chewing her lip. She hadn't been wrong yet. "And about bad places and about weather mostly."

She thought about it a bit. "I don't... know what the signs are. I don't get headaches usually. Like, ever." True. She was rarely sick in any way.

Except if she'd been playing in the snow without enough warm clothing on.

"I just feel a bit like I've been dreaming or something, or a bit sleepy. Sometimes I don't know and I get funny looks and its because I've said something."

"Weather...that's a fairly common thing to see about," Nolan said with a nod. Now, as for babies and bad places...eeeek. He couldn't even imagine the horrible things she might have seen about those subjects. He frowned again and looked at her with a bit of confusion on his face. "Would you mind sharing...examples of those things you've seen? I know you mentioned something about the events last term," he added. That would definitely fall under the category of 'bad places' he was sure.

Hmmm. Well, if there were no tells to when she was about to go into a vision the Calming Draught plan was out the window. Darn. He had been sure that would work! "Is there anyone you can alert when things like this occur? Does Headmaster Tate know about this?" he asked. He had to...right? "You said one of the things bothering you was that you had been thinking about what would have happened if you had told someone...if you have someone to turn to, I'd definitely recommend seeking them out if there is anything you've seen bothering you. You can come see me if you like as well," he offered.

"Well I knew when my brother's ex-girlfriend was pregnant, and when Professor Lawson was, like before they showed and stuff, and my Abraxans... I had a dream about Cassiopeia being pregnant and she is and I can usually tell if the baby will be a boy or a girl and stuff like that." As for the other part... "Um... well there were these coupons, see? For free stuff in Hogsmeade, and the Hogs Head one made me go.. crazy..." Celandine shrugged helplessly and peeked at Raiden, "I burned one and tore one up but I don't really remember stuff about what happened or what I said. And then I went to see and the bad man kidnapped me and he was taking people who had the coupons and making them fight each other and... and I had to watch them and I couldn't do anything..." She frowned at her knees. It was the reason she'd reacted like she had to Lafay burning kids. Those three had been in the duels.

"Headma..." Cela looked up. "I never told him." But who knew what he actually knew? She looked at Raiden again and then at Professor Reynolds. "Would anyone have believed me?" Though... "I... I should have told Prof.. Mr. Kapoor. He might have believed me."

...somehow, this all made the most sense in the world. Raiden was quietly listening, eyes focused on the professor's desk as he tried to sift through what was being said.

"The damn... window..." he murmured, very much to himself. He'd already felt guilty about that fight, and now he felt the weird tightening in the pit of his stomach again. He'd not... listened. She'd tried to tell him that she was Seeing things and he had been too wrapped up in being angry to really listen.

Now that she'd said it out loud though... he felt stupid for not having realised it earlier.

"I told her to tell the Headmaster." He flicked a glance at Cela and then looked at the Professor. "She told me... some things, last term. But she didn't tell me how she knew... She just said nobody would believe her."

And she'd picked a bad time to tell him. Or rather, she'd picked a bad time to tell him she'd made him hate her on purpose. But still... had he set his own feelings aside that day, things probably would've gone very differently last term.

Ah well, the thing about babies wasn't bad at all! Nolan had been fearing things farrrr more horrible. "That is also not an uncommon thing to See," he told her. Many people with the Inner Eye were able to detect pregnancies before any signs or symptoms emerged. "And as for last term...I'm guessing this was your first experience Seeing things that led to, umm..." How did he put it? "Future events where people's lives were in danger, am I correct? It's unfortunate that things turned out the way they did, but it's a natural reaction to think that people won't believe you. Seers are so often ridiculed and questioned in society, so it isn't uncommon for many people who indeed have the gift of foresight to keep it to themselves because they fear what will happen if people DON'T believe them. So, you took matters into your own hands." It was a bit reckless, but in the end, things had worked out.

"In the future, if you ever feel you need to alert someone of something you saw, you are always welcome to come talk to me about it," he told her. Seers had to stick together! "Professor Kapoor would be a good option as well. If you think the Headmaster needs to get involved...we'll be there to back you up," Nolan added with a grin. He knew she wasn't making ths stuff up...after spending years in this field, he could tell when people were faking it, and she certainly was NOT faking anything.

Rexx knocks on the door of Mr. Reynolds. Rex is happy that the Divination teacher will help him with his Arithromancy homework,

Nolan heard a knock at his door and jumped slightly, but when he glanced at the time he remembered who it was and smiled. "Miss Toussaint, Mister Kururugi, if you'll excuse me for just a moment, I have a student coming by so I can help him with an assignment. I'll be back in just a moment," he said. He stood up and walked to the door and opened it, greeting Rex.

"Hello there Rex! Step inside and we'll get started. What is it I needed to assist you with again? An arithmancy assignment?" he asked.

"This is for arithromancy, sir" Rex told Mr. Reynolds. "What I need is your full name ao I can do an interpatation of your personaly number" Rex explained to Mar, Reynolds. " Thanks for helping me again, sir" Rex said to the professor.

"Of course, not a problem," Nolan said with a smile. His full name, that was easy enough! "It's Nolan Michael Reynolds," he told the Gryffindor. He generally didn't tell people his middle name because...eh, he didn't really know why. He just didn't. "Anything else I can do for you?" he asked.
