Ellie's jaw dropped.

"What?! I was just going to ask you that. What happened?" This sucks.

Dunno but me and Simon got caught for dropping dungbombs and I saw her and she looked perfectly normal!!! amy despaired filling ellie in on the story

Ellie gasped dramatically.

"No! I wonder what happened to them.. Maybe she just didn't get them yet.." she thought. "Oh, is that why you lost housepoints?

Uhh yeah amy said embarrisdly no I don't she got them at all maybe the school owls know when not to send stuff she turned to the house elves um can I have a butterbeer please and a box of chocolate brownies please

Ellie laughed.

"That's brilliant. Sorry you got caught." she said.

"Simon seemed a bit quiet at the library." she went on, "He left when I got there. Is he a prankster to?"

Of course amy said happily he's soo different from the last boy I hug out with he's so much of a laugh, he came back so I didn't have to take the blame on my own he's really sweet she finished off simply

"That's great." Ellie smiled. "Can't wait to meet him... or talk to him.." she said, laughing.

Yeah next time we pull a prank definnatley Amy smiled as the elves returned with her brownie do you want something? she asked ellie as she leant against the counter offering her a brownie

Ellie thought.

"No, not really. Thanks." she said.

"Well, I can't wait." she smiled.

Me neither amy said happily bitting into another brownie she looked at the time oh merlin I got to go in a minute she said then turned to the elves can I have two boxes please. They returned a minute later with them and he separated the brownie pile equally into the two boxes, she gave one to Ellie, share these with the ravvie's she told her as she picked up her own pile an walked towards the painting, see you tomorow ellie she smiled as she stepped through the portrait and out towards the common room

Ellie took the box bewildered. Wonder what she's up to. She shrugged. It was quiet in here, she didn't want to leave. So she sat down and kept the elves company.

Rae walked into the kitchen and saw all the eles scattered around, she turned to Evelyn "So, where exactly do you bake in here?" This place was surrounded by elves so she had no idea where Evelyn baked around here.

Having already picked one of the stations to work at, and making the elves move with a simple 'Move', Evelyn glanced over at Rae and laughed slightly. "Wherever." she said, holding out her arms wide as to gesture to the whole kitchen. There was enough room for them and the elves so it was no problem.

Now, what to make? Hmm. Cookies sounded good. Not for herself though. Pssh. These were going to be 'special' cookies. "So, how've you been?"

Where was the flour?

Well, wherever was fine with her. "So what're we baking?" Rae asked curiously. Evelyn asked how she'd been... "I've been... good," Rae was debating to herself what to tell her. "I'm.... Trying out for the quidditch team..." Did she dare tell Evelyn about her fountain dive with Fletcher? Maybe not....

"Sugar cookies." Evelyn stated, finally finding the flour but not seeing the sugar anywhere near by. "Can you look for the sugar?"

However, she did find the measuring cups, having snatched one up before one of the elves did, and she made her way back to the table while listening to Rae. "The quidditch team?" the Slytherin asked in surprise. Oh how she missed playing quidditch...

"I'll make sure to cheer you on in the games if you make it." Unless they were playing against Gryffindor and Josh was playing too. Which, this time she would actually watch and not space out!

Cookies.... Maybe Fletcher liked cookies, hopefully anyways. "Cookies sound good, and uh, you really don't need to look for anything," She turned to the crowd of elves, "Oi! Some sugar?" As a couple elves scattered and she turned back to Evelyn "Yeah i decided i should try to not be in the shadows this year.. Thanks" Hmm... would Fletcher cheer her on if she made the team? Hah, probably not, he'd take the opportunity to take some stuff from people while they were too busy paying attention to the game.

Hmm, oh that's right. She almost forgot that the elves would pretty much do anything for them. "And eggs! And butter! And vanilla, milk, and baking powder!" Was that all? "And a rolling pin!"

There, now that was all. "I'm sure you'll do just fine. And if not, then there is always next year right?" Maybe next year Evelyn would try out too. And maybe not.

"So, what's been happening since we got here huh? I haven't seen you around all that much inside." Since, she'd been still studying up in the dormitories since she had gotten there and only gotten outside like...once since term had started. BUT maybe Rae didn't know that. And MAYBE Evelyn will unexpectedly come across new information.

Wouldn't that be nice...

Evelyn's next question came Now Rae choose your words carefully she thought to herself. "Well, i went and talked to Professor Kingsley, he thinks i should join a transfiguration club he's starting. I haven't decided on that one. I went down to the lake.... That got too crowded to enjoy. And i caused a bit of trouble........... At the fountain." Rae tried to hide a smile but failed horribly. "What about you?" Rae started opening the flour and the sugar.... "And uh... how much of this do i need?" Pointing at both bags with the measuring cup.

Evelyn snorted at hearing about another club that seemed to be going on at the school. "Oh, Merlin. What is with the professors and trying to get us in clubs this year? Professor Lawson somehow roped me joining the Muggle Studies club..." Which, she still needed to tell Destiny that she had gotten HER signed up for it as well. Not looking forward to that, at all.

Measuring out the amount of butter she needed, she placed it into one bowl she had gotten out before going over to the...baking powder? Why in the world did she say that? "I meant salt!"

Glancing over at Rae, Evelyn raised a brow at the Slytherin. Causing trouble? And that smile..."What kind of trouble?" she asked, hoping that a professor wasn't around to see it. Slytherin didn't need to be in negative points again.

"Umm, 2 and 1/2 cups of flour and 3/4 cups of sugar..." she said, scooting a different, yet larger, bowl into her direction. "...into that bowl. I've been mostly studying stuff this year in the dormitories." What kind of stuff, she would not tell! "But, other than that, I've just been taking it easy."

Apparently all the teachers had clubs, Rae only had spoken with Kingsley though. "Muggle Studies? Heh... Have fun... I am so lost when it comes to muggles." Evelyn made a mistake and yelled for the elves to get salt. To answer Evelyn's question, she decided to measure her ingredients while talking so she could look down in case she blushed slightly, "Oh, not bad trouble... Just.... Stealing coins out of the wishing fountain with Fletcher." She kinda spoke that last part a bit fast. Merlin, look at her! School just started and she is already blushing! Since when did she blush? Never. "You're studying ALREADY?" This girl has some major determination.

"Finally...someone the same way." she mumbled to herself, thinking the exact same. Muggles. She memorized the book, but that didn't mean she understood what was going on. "However, I think the Dueling Club will be fun to do." And you'd know that Evelyn signed up that the first chance she could get!

Stealing coins out of the wishing fountain? They had a wishing fountain? But more importantly... "Who's Fletcher?" That, was definitely a weird name. But wait, they had a fountain? Rae might have mentioned that before, but it totally flew through one ear and right out the other.

"Nothing for school!" she said, looking wide eyed over at Rae. "Just, studying for...personal reasons." And it was harder than she thought. But Evelyn did think that she was ready to stop studying and start doing this year, even though she knew she was going to fail terribly at...it.

Taking a deep breathe, she measured out the salt and..."WAIT! Don't put the sugar in that bowl!" EEP! She totally forgot that step in the baking.

Rae chuckled a bit when she heard Evelyn mutter that she was the same way. Oh right, dueling club, she forgot ALL about that. "Right, forgot i signed up for that too..." Who's Fletcher? oh great... "He's uh, a fifth year i met in Diagon Alley before school" Rae wasn't about to admit that she met him while he was stealing a prefect's wallet, then they spent the contents on his new school robes. "Kinda like... Trouble making partner?" That's basically what it was. "Uh, what ARE you studying then?... If you don't mind me asking." As Rae was just about to pour the sugar in when Evelyn's exclamation stopped her. Again, she knew NOTHING about baking.

Well, at least she'd know someone at the club! And it won't be as torturous as muggle studies. Even though, they'd be cooking in that club, all the other stuff was probably torturous.

"Trouble making partner." she repeated, taking the sugar from Rae and pouring it in with the butter. "Sorry 'bout that, by the way. Didn't mean to startle you." Or maybe she did. "So, umm... trouble making partner. Like, me and Destiny partners? Or..." Like Kay and Rex, because if that was the case, she'd have to remember to stay clear away from them when they were together.

Taking one of the wooden spoons, she started mixing the butter and sugar together rather quickly, seriously wishing she could remember the spell they used in potions that would have been perfect for this. It was written down in her notebook, which was no where near here. "Umm, just...stuff." she mumbled, staring at the bowl. "Like the patronus and such." And such...ya. "Can you crack an egg into that bowl and a teaspoon of vanilla in it too?"

"Oh, no you didn't startle me." Rae said, as she handed the sugar over to her. And now was when the real questions started... "Well, yeah, except he's a fifth year boy.." They didn't know each other THAT MUCH. Though she did like his crooked smile, and he didn't look at her like trash because she was one who had to steal to get by or cause she had no home. But she wouldn't ever get a chance with him anyways. So the truth really was that they were friends, and will be.

"Ooh really? What do you think your patronus is? Mine's a lynx, found out last year after i tried what felt like a million times." She said kind of excitedly as she reached for the eggs and began cracking them in the bowl. Rae was quite proud of her patronus, and she thought a lynx was incredibly cool.
