Aiden smirked and clapped a little when she finished. "Oh, don't flatter yourself, Raven," he commented, still smirking. Although she was right, the music was what made him stop. He tapped one finger on her bass. "So, was that bit something you wrote, then?"

Raven chuckled slightly at Aiden's first comment although she knew she was right and that's all that mattered. "Yeah it was actually, it's not quite finished because I ran out of inspiration to finish the song which definitely sucks." She ran her fingers through her brown hair for a second then sighed a little bit, noticing that he was tapping one of his fingers on her bass; normally that would have bugged her but not this time.

"Ran out of inspiration.. I see," Aiden said with a nod. Hmmh. "Well, I'm sure you'll get to finish it once you get your inspiration again." He drew a breath and sat down on the floor, placing his elbows on his knees. His eyes averted to her bass again, studying the sleek look of it, before he casually looked away.

Raven frowned slightly as she watched Aiden study her bass then look away, it made her rather curious as to what was going on with him since it was definitely odd to her. "I hope so..but anyways, what's up with you? I mean you haven't really seemed the same since we spoke last time." It did concern her when he wasn't acting the same way as he did before but Raven didn't want to pry.

Hadn't really seemed the same? Ah, great. And Aiden had thought he was good at keeping his countenance casual, even when his mood was the opposite. Now he'd have to play it off. "I've just had lots of exams coming up. All the profs want to spring them on us at the same time, you know?" He smiled a bit. "So, have you been brainstorming for song lyrics lately?"

Raven could tell that Aiden was trying to downplay what was really going on but she wasn't about to push that situation. "Ah yes, exams are rather awful especially when it comes to being a 7th year; I've got to worry about class exams plus NEWTs." Ugh that was definitely going to be awful. She just didn't want to think about it now because there was no way that would bring her down. "Of course I have been, I wrote a few lines in my notebook." Taking out a small notebook out her pocket, she opened it and handed it to him.

Ehh, exams. "I know. I don't even want to think about NEWTs." There was just too much to handle lately. Thank Merlin NEWTs weren't until next year, though. Poor Raven had to put up with it this year. "Ah, sweet," he commented as he took the notebook from Raven's hand. His eyes scanned over the lyrics she had written. They were quite good. "You're lucky you have a talent for both music and writing."

It was already driving her slightly mad talking about exams but since they weren't for a few months, Raven wasn't panicing quite yet; that would of course happen later on. "I know I'm lucky, but honestly this took a lot of work for me to get this good at playing and writing songs. I went through years of struggling to come with something that actually sounded good." Not many people knew the truth when it came to that and for her to actually tell Aiden was a big deal.

Ahh, the hourglasses. As Nolan wandered around, deciding whether or not he wanted to grab some lunch in the Great Hall, he pause and looked at the towering structures, smiling to himself as he remembered his days of obsessing over the point count when he was in school. That had only been during his term as Prefect, and he had needed to determine whether or not he needed to nudge them a bit more about doing homework and attending classes...

Speaking of his old house, he wondered how Hufflepuff was doing. Frown. Third?! Oh no, they could so be in first if they put their minds to it. Sigh. And poor Gryffindor, all alone there at the bottom...maybe he'd have more of them attend his class this time around. Then he could give out more points! He LOVED giving out points!

"There once was a man from Peru..."

Lucky didn't like that poem. It was just... weird. Who dreamed of eating a shoe? HMM? Sigh. If she hadn't had bad timing, she wouldn't have overheard someone in the common room repeating that poem and most likely people wouldn't be giving her strange looks while she repeated it going down the corridors.

This was just like when she got a nice little tune stuck in her head, she would go all day humming it!

Just as she was about to head into the Great Hall to get some food, her eyes landed on the hourglasses. The reason she now changed her walking direction towards the hourglasses wasn't because she wanted to see who was in the lead since the last time she had looked at the hourglasses was.... yesterday? That seemed about right and Slytherin was in the lead. HECK YEAH. But she wanted to just talk to Professor Dude, who just happened to be standing there, to see if he liked her picture and... blah blah blah. Yupp!

She made her way towards the Professor.

And then she just stood.

Right beside him.

Not uttering a word.

Nolan thought he heard someone approaching him, but it was probably just another student curious in the point totals. However, the sound of the footsteps stopped, and he got that weird sense that someone was watching him. Either that, or just taking up his personal space.

He blinked and turned to his right. Oh. It was Lucky Torelli again. Why was she just standing there? He took a small step to the left...she was a bit toooooo close for personal comfort...and raised an eyebrow.

"Good day Miss Torelli. Is there...something I can help you with?" he asked. How he could be of any assistance at the hourglasses, he had NO idea, but ehh. He figured he'd at least be polite and ask.

Lucky felt like a complete midget next to this guy. No joke. It was the same exact feeling she had standing next to Chris a few days ago. Whyyyy did guys have to be super duper tall? She couldn't wait to hit another growth spurt and become taller than 5 foot 5. People could get to growth spurts, right? Hopefully so. She didn't want to be stuck this height foreverrr.

She looked over at the hourglasses for a brief moment or two until she heard the Professor's voice, and then she looked back at him, a little smile on her face. "No... wait, no... YES. Yes, there is something you can help me with," she replied. "Do you know why a guy from Peru dreamed he was eating his shoe?"

It was a good question. In her mind, that is.

Nolan blinked a few times and stared at her. Had she gone off her rocker? Why was she asking him to interpret...a poem? Sigh. He should have just gone to lunch after all!

"Well, I don't really remember what eating your shoe means when it comes to dream interpretation," Nolan joked. Hehe. When in doubt, crack a joke. It worked for him...most of the time. "I suppose we all dream up really crazy things every once in a while, right?" he wondered aloud. "Like I, one time, had a dream that the Prime Minister was doing a press conference from my loft, and I was so excited that all I wanted to do was tweet it on Twitter, which is ridiculous because I don't even own a muggle computer..."

Trailing off and realizing she probably had no idea WHAT he was on about, he shook his head and took off his glasses with his left hand, rubbing his eyes with his right. "So, in short...I have no idea why he dreamt that," he explained.

... was that a joke? Lucky, not knowing for sure, giggled a little bit. If it was, maybe it would give him a little bit of a self confidence boost... was is self confidence even LOW? Hmmm, she didn't know. Either way, she giggled at the so-called joke.

"Errrrrm." HOW was she suppose to reply to that? "Interesting. I dream of," you know, cool things, "unicorns." Ha.

She watched him as he took off his glasses, and then this brilliant and stupid idea struck her. "I reallllly should get going," she stated as she slowly walked in front of the Professor, getting just close enough to his left hand. "It was nice talking to you, dude."

And then she GRABBED his glasses and ran.

Nolan stopped himself from rolling his eyes--he had to remember, he was a PROFESSOR and not allowed to make sarcastic remarks to the students--and sighed. "Miss Torelli, I've already told you, you will not address me as DUDE, you'll use either Prof--"

He stopped when, however, he noticed movement in his hand. He looked down and saw...his glasses were gone! She'd just snatched them right out of his hand! THE AUDACITY! He was blind without his glasses!

"LUCKY TORELLI! Return my glasses before I take five hundred billion points from Slytherin!" he exclaimed. He ran after her--or what he THOUGHT was her, all he saw were blurry shapes right now--with his hands out in front of him, feeling around to make sure he didn't barrell over some poor first year.

Trixie was happy. Yes happy. For no apparent reason, she just was. Well did she need an excuse? Recently she had just been a very happy person and well, that was certainly better for the people whom she met, then the grumpy Trixie. Gah no. You didn't want to meet angry, grumpy Trixie. But was she feeling sarcastic today? Nah she only felt sarcastic when she was with Oliver. Kinda a ritual of their's really. So Trixie was walking along the Ground Floor level when

BAM!!

Gah no! Seriously not again. This was like the third time this week. Okay now to check current position. The Blonde fifth year looked up. There was the roof. Ahh so that meant she was on the floor. Any injuries? Nah, her head felt fine. No more memory loss. Good. The Slytherin sat up and there in front of her was a green Hourglass. Oops. She had walked into the Hourglass. She seemed to like walking into things these days. Ahh well.

Cameron had been trying to avoid Slytherins. She was so worried that Raven would appear out of a corridor and hex her or make her fall or something equally horrible so at any hint of green she'd RAAAAN. This made things difficult as Oliver was a snake and.. she didn't mind him at all

Lurking down the corridor, looking like she was perpetually scared. Her eyes flitted from side to side and she was petrified of a Slytherin (who might or might not have been Raven) to appear and hex her.

It diminished her friendly houses.. only Gryffindor and Hufflepuff were left. What with Ravenclaw and Slytherin out.

Walking into a girl she frowned. OH! A SNAKE!
"Oh.. erm.." But then she realised the girl was younger - and she remembered Raven's spiel about younger students. So the girl was safe.
"Erm.. HAI." Cam found introductions suu awkward.

Trixie looked up to see an older Gryffindor before her. "Hey" she said still sat there on the floor. Gah this was awkward. Now what should she do? Nah. The floor was comfy. Might as well stick down there. "I'm Trixie" she smiled before taking a quick glance at that giant Green Hourglass. Oh yes! They were still in the lead. Cue huge evil grin.

"And you are?" she asked kindly. This girl seemed like she ad a fear or something. Eh well Trix was certainly not someone to be scared of. Just look at her. She was sat on the floor after walking straight into the hourglass. Nothing scary about that at all. Apart from the fact that Trix was too easily distracted.

Cameron peered down at the girl. Whatever was the doing on the floor? What an odd place to be! She blinked blankly at the girl for several moments before she straightened. How odd.
"Er.. Hi Trixie. I'm Cameron." And then the girl grinned realllllly evilly and Cameron blinked.

Er.. that wasn't weird .. at ALL. But she seemed kinda okay so Cameron stuck out her hand for her to take.. 'cept she seemed like she kinda liked it there so the Gryffindor smirked and sat down next to her.
"HEEEY! Your name's Trixie right? You're Oliver's friend!" Cam was getting much better at the whole.. 'making friends' thing.

Trixie looked a little shiftly. Why was se looking at her like that? Oh right. It must have been the evil grin. "Err....Sorry. I was just happy Slytherin are in first place" she giggled slightly. "It's nice to meet you Cameron" she smiled. Trixie wasn't a bad Slytherin. Well at least she didn't think she was. A shifty one maybe. And sarcastic. Very sarcastic. Right now to get off of the floor finally.

Or not. The Gryffindor seemed to have joined her on the floor. Okay. She could live with that. Ahh well she was setting up camp in the Observatory for gooodness sakes to escape from Lafay. Might as well get used to the floor. "Yes, as I just said it's Trixie" she laughed but the girl continued. Oliver? Oh Olliwolliver. "Why yes I am" she grinned. "What has he been saying about me?" she asked a little worried. That they had equally large egos??

Cameron frowned. OOOH! She was talking about the Hourglasses. Oh. Gryffindor were last. She didn't particularly care anyway.
She smiled in return. Was that the first time someone had said it was nice to meet her? She thought so.
The Lion's face screwed up in thought. Trixie..hmm.. he'd said something.. she just couldn't remember. Sometimes she tuned Oliver out. Err..
Ah, she was the RIGHT Trixie. Well that was a start.
The worry in her tone made Cameron laugh, "Oh, nothing bad - well I can't remember exactly. You're on the Slytherin Quidditch team right?" Yesh.. hmm.. that was all that had remained in Cam's airhead really.

Trixie grinned. "So nothing about big Ego's, sarcasm or being a clutz then" she laughed. Gah well He couldn't exactly say anything like that anyway because well, so was he. Ahh but it was about Quidditch. The wonderful game in which Trixie had got injured. Again. But then again she did injure a lot of the other players as well. Maniac on the pitch!

"Yeah i am" she grinned. "I'm a reserve but I played Chaser and Beater in the last match" she giggled. Oh the wonders of that game.

Cameron smiled. Oliver could hardly talk about someone else being egotistical and sarcastic.. "That would be really, really hypocritical of him." Plus, the red-head wouldn't let that slide. She'd tease him relentlessly. But he wasn't a clutz.. that was Cam's area of expertise.

Quidditch. That was a topic Cam could talk about - easily. But at least she'd gotten the girl right.. it'd be awkward if she'd stuffed up.
Ooh! "So you were part of the winning team?" Which Cam had dragged her lazy carcass out of bed to watch the game.
"That was a tense game.." Cameron remarked honestly.

Trixie laughed and nodded. So totally true. "And believe me I tell him that all of the time" she giggled. Gahh. He was so big headed. And so was Trixie but that was another issue And the pair both knew that they were so it didn't matter. But this Cameron seemed a lot different. Not like she thought big of herself like the two Slytherins did. And Trixie would be sarcastic right now if this was Oliver stood in front of her. But the Gryffindor was nice. So Trix wasn't going to show that side just yet.

Trixie grinned. Ahh the game. Yesh, the game in which Trixie was a complete menace and injured a load of people "Yes I most certainly was" she grinned like a Cheshire Cat. Victory was so totally in their eyes right now. They had to win. And sure was sure Oliver would make sure of that. More practicing. But you had to give credit to Nicky as well. For her seeking skills were amazing. "Was definitely. And don't think that I am that much of a menace off the pitch. Because I assure you I am not" she giggled. Mostly down to the family name she supposed. And never give her a beaters bat off the pitch though.

Cameron smirked, "That makes two of us." Eh. But she didn't really care. Oliver was self-confidant. She kinda admired that in him. Cam on the otherhand, had the self-confidance of a turtle. Or.. whatever had no self-confidance *meep*

The Gryffindor nodded. Good thing she hadn't messed up the people. Awwwkward. She grinned, "Let's hope so. I quite liking having all my limbs unbroken." Everyone had gotten hurt that match. It'd been horrible to watch.
"You subbed that match.. what do you normally play?" Quidditch was an okay topic.
