Evan entered the Great Hall. Wow, he was so hungry! He had run all day that he felt like he could never eat enough to feel full again. And even the thought of those delicious meals made his mouth water. So he quickly walked up to the Slyhterin Table and sat somewhere--he didn't even glance where he sat. Only after getting LOTS OF food on his plate did he saw he'd sat right across Violet. He hesitated how to respond--but he guessed things were good between them now. He smiled at last, and turned back to his meal. Spoonful of rice! Mmm...

Violet smiled cutely at Evan, when she saw him. "Hi Evan! How is Evan's World doing?" she asked batting her eyelashes.

Evan could hardly take his eyes off his rice and chicken when Violet asked something. He had to chow for a while before he swallowed at last.

"Evan world is... nice. I think." If you didn't count Marie issues, it was rather fine, actually. Though that was the point, Marie issues upset him much. He shrugged though, he'd interact even less with her from now on. "How about yours?" And it was time to take another bite from his lovely chicken. Ah, the delicious-ness.

"You think? Why aren't you sure? You know I could make Evan's World a lot better!" she replied brightly. "Violet's World, is annoying. I have to act nice and good to everyone. And it's just all so frustrating." she said dramatically. "I wish I lived in Evan's World." she added with a sigh. She thought about how fun Evan's World must be.

Evan took his time while chewing this time, because he had to debate whether to answer her or not. 'Tell her' side won it, and he decided to explain it partially.

"I've been having some issues with... Marie, lately." And that was all Violet would get to learn from him. He frowned. "It's nice you're good, just so you know..." Of course, it didn't feel like Violet and it was weird. It was sort of apparent that she was forcing herself, but he liked her this way. At least, she didn't try to get him date her, or that sort.

Did he just think that she gave up on her dreams about him? How wrong he'd been. He chuckled softly. He could as well taking her wrong way, but he was sure she hinted that she wished he loved her. To get her feel a bit better, he said "You are in my world... sort of. As a friend."

"Oh, I haven't talked to Marie since Diagon Alley." she replied. "When you two broke up, I think it was." she added, a evil little smirk on her face about that thought. "But it's annoying to be good, I have to be nice."

Violet's eyes lit up. "Really? That's so cool it's fun being in Evan's World!" she said brightly. Psh, friends he totally wants to date me. Friends is probably a cover up, she thought.

Evan nodded and was happily enjoying his meal when Violet added that small comment. He choked up a bit with the bitter memory. It was probably better that she didn't talk to her anyway, Marie was too heartbreaking these days, and she'd probably be the reason for Violet's losing control again if she managed to annoy him to a shouting degree.

"Why do you have to be?" he asked while taking another spoon. His plate was nearly empty now, and it hadn't even been 10 minutes! He must have been really hungry, but now he ate slower. Now that he felt alright, he could slow down.

He smiled. "Thanks... I guess." He chose to continue eating his meal, rather than commenting any further. He didn't know how to reply to that.

And then that particular questioned was asked. Blech, she had been asked that sooo many times before. "I'd rather not say..." she said. It wasn't her favorite thing to tell people that she either was nice or got expelled.

"Yeah, but I can't believe I'm in Evan's World! It's like a dream come true!" she said excitedly.

Hehe.

Evan looked in a bit confusion. Why wouldn't Violet say it? It was a simple thing, not something to make fun or something. Or, was it a reason to laugh at? It couldn't be like she'd made a promise and now couldn't break it, could it? He shrugged. If she didn't say it, he wouldn't insist. Though, he did remember something she didn't say at the last meeting--the guy she liked. He smiled a bit evilly. Of course he was going to bring it up, and learn it.

He chuckled, still not getting what was so exciting about being in his world. Sure, he was a fun guy, especially for Mina, Ella and Olivia, but none of them were this excited. Though this only suited him more--now, he could ask that question and she would have no reason to refuse to answer.

"So Violet, now that you're in my world... you would surely tell me the guy you like..?" Yes? Please?

Violet bit her lip. "Evan, dear isn't that a bit of a personal question?" she asked, wanting to change the subject she saw hot chocolate on the table. She quickly grabbed it and poured herself a cup and drank some of it. "Mmm, hot chocolate! I didn't know they had this, did you?" she asked acting as if hot chocolate was the most amazing thing in the world.

First of all, dear? Evan raised one eyebrow. Though it had always been Violet's style. He just had to get used to it. He opened his mouth to follow-up, but she beat him to asking a question. He waved his hand like it was unimportant. "Yes, they always had hot chocolate." he said in a manner of dismissing it.

"Why not telling me? I won't go and tell him!" He made puppy eyes. He hadn't made those eyes for a long time, since he did it last year to Marie.

"Oh, but this is awesome hot chocolate!" she said.

She was going to continue about the hot chocolate when-Whats this?

Evan was making those puppy eyes? Aww, he looked so cute, in Violet's opinion! She looked at him dreamily and was about to tell him who it was, but then snapped out of it. "Well its just that I usually don't tell people who I like. It's more of a surprise." she lied.

Evan sensed he was getting that information and kept his puppy eyes but... *sigh* She didn't tell. He narrowed his eyes as he thought how to reply. Aha! This should work too.

"I'm not people, am I, to you?" Ha! Now, how would she reply to that? He was determined to learn that. And he would... hopefully.

She widened her eyes. "No, no, no you're way better than people. "Pause. "But well it's just that you would get freaked out if I told you who I liked. But if you really really have to know I'll tell you." she replied.

Evan tilted his head to left. Well, of course he was better than some people, namely, Carter the Dork. He, at least, didn't steal people's girlfriends. Even the thought of him darkened his face. He was silent for a few seconds until he shook his head to snap out of that angst.

He looked up and smiled again a little when she offered him to tell. Pff. Why would be freaked out? Unless it was that Carter... but even then he wouldn' be freakd out but rather annoyed. Though, on the other hand, if Violet managed to get him from Marie--but no, he'd never request such a thing from Violet. Shaking those thoughts too, he nodded agog.

"Yes, I want to know."

Guh.

He actually did want to know, very badly.

Violet didn't think that Evan would really want to know, but as she promised she was going to answer. "Well I like you." she said in a low voice. She started blushing and avoided eye contact with Evan.

"it's okay Sel really. It's not a big deal I'll just remember to use Occlumence if I'm thinking about something that I don't want people to know." she added obviously joking.

"Really? Your brother? Okay I gotta admit the no eyebrows thing kinda creeps me out. Haha. Wait! What?!? You guys are related to the Blacks too? My mum is Elizabeth Black should I know your parents?!?" she exclaimed questionably, quite taken back.

"Aurora Black huh? Well I don't believe I've met her no." she continued putting some of her syrup-covered, blueberries waffles in her mouth.

"Narcissa Black? I thought she died years ago. Her husband was Lucius Malfoy right? I mean if they're your parents then we're like fourth cousins by marriage." she said excited and confused at the same time, taking a sip of her pumpkin juice.

"Thanks." she replied taking a bit of chocolate. "East Africa huh?"

"Come on Destiny, I'm hungry, move a little faster," Marie said as she was pulling her friend along to the great hall. Being bound to this girl was really starting to get annoying.

Finally they made it to the Slytherin table. Not wanting to drag Destiny any further Marie sat at the closest space she could find for two people, then pulled Destiny down with her. "Really, I can't believe you were so slow coming here, it's not like the food is going to bite you or anything." She put some food on her plate and started to eat. She looked over at the Gryffindor table to see if she could find Carter but she didn't see him. Looking down the Slytherin table she seen... Evan, and there was only one other student between them... and he was with Violet? Great, now she lost her appetite. She put her fork down and just sat there listening to what they were talking about staring into space.

Evan reached for his tea cup as he eyed Violet to see if she was going to tell it. It looked like she hesitated. Seriously, who could be that bad? His cup was halfway up in the air to his mouth when he heard her response. The cup, inevitably, fell off his hand, scattering tea drops everywhere. He blinked, mouth half open. Not because of the tea, which he didn't even notice, but because of her response. I like you. He blinked some more as he replayed that scene over and over. Yes, he'd heard it quite right, he was that guy she liked.

After a good few minutes of only processing, he lowered his arm which hurt a lot, and managed to close his mouth. But, he still kept staring at Violet. That, he still couldn't get himself not to do. This was just... unbelievable. He'd always thought that she flirted him because he was handsome, no strong feelings. But this... He shook his head a bit as if he didn't beliebe this was true. But then again, he knew it was. He seriously didn't know how to react. It was the third time a girl so openly told him she liked him, and he froze. And this was the hardest one, because in the last ones, he could at least say something. The facts that this was Violet, and that he couldn't think of anything to say, didn't really make his job any easier. This wasn't fair. As a guy, he should be the one to admitting these stuff and make them comfortable! Yet here he was, racking his brains to come up with something that wouldn't hurt her...

...at which he failed, now with the distraction of Marie and -what was her name?- Denise girl entering the Great Hall. Wait, what was Marie doing? Was she... dragging her?! He frowned, obviously distracted. He turned his eyes to Violet once again, whatever. He wouldn't care Marie anymore. Though, he couldn't help but risk a glance over her, only to see there was only one student between them. Great. He wouldn't let her distract him, though. He had bigger issues here, like explaining Violet that they, him and Violet, would never happen.

He opened his mouth for the second time, but again, there was no voice. He, at last, managed to say "I'm afraid 'we' can never happen, Violet." Hurt or not, she should know it before she got any hopes up. That was the ethic way, right? He wondered if Marie heard that. Probably. He didn't care. His mere insterest was now Violet's response.

Violet's eyes flickered to the cup, then to Evan. She sighed and her eyes got all watery. "I know it's just that you wanted me to tell you. I knew you would be freaked." But she didn't think he would be this freaked.

This was wayyyy to embarassing especially with Marie there.

"Well, maybe I should go..." she said. She did NOT want Evan to see her cry. Nope. Never.

Selena nodded before polishing off her waffles and reached over for a plate of french toast. Yum.

What in the world!?

"I'm walking as fast as I can! It's not MY fault you have big feet and can walk faster that me!" Jeeeez! It was like Marie hasn't eaten in weeks! Destiny knew for a fact she did indeed eat, so there should really be no rush.

Being pulled down onto the bench, a little oomph escaped her mouth and she glaaaaared at Marie. "Really? There was no need to pull me down." she said turning herself around so she could gaze at the YUMMEH food. And now that she was here and all, she was going to eat. She had a feeling if she herself were to get hungry, Marie would let her STARVE. She looked from the food in front of her to the plate in front of her friend, "Merlin, Marie! Save food for the other people, will you?"

Destiny started to pile some things onto her plate and as she lifted the fork to her mouth, she almost dropped it at the sound of Marie's fork hitting a plate.

"You..you dragged me here and now you aren't going to EAT? You better pick up that fork."

Or Destiny would just have to feed her.

Carter entered the Great Hall and found Marie (and Destiny) sitting at the Slytherin table. He went over and sat next to Marie. He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. (What? They were to the side of Destiny.) "Hey, sorry I'm late. I was meeting my Quill partner." he said.

Marie looked over at Destiny when she told her to pick up her fork. "Um, I lost my appetite," she said as she looked back over at Evan and Violet sitting there across from each other. Really? Violet, the one main person who had been the center of most of their problems... and now Evan was friends with her. Whatever. Why should she care who he was friends with now anyway because obviously she wasn't his friend.

Oh wait.... what was this she heard? Evan telling Violet they would never happen. She wanted so bad to look over at Violet and say I told you he didn't like you, but instead she just sat there acting like she didn't hear anything. She would have plenty of other opportunities to humiliate Violet. Right now she just wanted Carter to get there.

She looked at the bracelet Carter gave her wondering what was taking him so long to get there. As if the bracelet had magical powers when she looked at it Carter was suddenly there by her side kissing her on the cheek. She turned and kissed him back (they weren't in front of Destiny so she was allowed to kiss him). "It's okay, it's not like I was sitting here by myself," she said looking over at Destiny. She didn't know when she was ever going to get to be alone again. "So how's things going with the Quill?"

Marie..had lost her appetite? How does THAT happen?

Destiny stared at Marie with a blank expression trying to understand where this appetite had run off too. As Marie was busy looking down at that boy and Violet, she quickly peeked under the table to find this runaway appetite.

Wait..what does an appetite look like?

Shrugging to herself, since there was nothing under the table, she sat up straight just in time to see Carter walk into the Hall. As he approached, Destiny took the time to stare at her plate for fear of seeing the two cootie infested children snog. If she even heard a snogging sound, she was going to march and pull Marie right into the office of one Professor Marcus Lawson. *snicker*

Destiny only looked at the cootie King and Queen when she heard talking which meant the snogging was over. Thank Merlin for that! Another blank expression crossed her face as they started talking about a quill. "Why in the name of Merlin's green sheep do you need a quill partner!?"

Unless..the quill is heavy?

But why would he use it if it was heavy?
