Fia's head turned slowly towards the nurse as she asked about a calming draught. One eyebrow raised slowly as she couldn't move a muscle for a few moments. She was contemplating exactly what to speak, should she say this, should she say that, should she say...no she couldn't tell...where was Bothari when one needed him. "Are you going to give me a head start so I can keep up with him?" There was nothing....NOTHING calm when this boy took meds which was one reason she wanted to be a Healer.

"Let's try this." Lily started, handing a calming draught to the boy, "Take your medication the way that you are supposed to. Do not take more if you feel like you NEED more, I want you, wherever you are, to find a professor, and have them call for me." She paused and then nodded, yes, that should work for now.

"We will start there, and see how it works.

Marie slowly levitated Carter back to Exam Room 3 being VERY careful not to hit his head or any other part of his body on the way there. Once inside the room she stood next to him to wait for the healer.

"How are you feeling?" she asked knowing full well that was a stupid question once it came out of her mouth. Obviously he wasn't feeling very well at all or they wouldn't be here. "Healer Moretti will be in any time now. Just try to relax." Yeah, she knew it was easier said than done for him to relax, she just didn't want him to try and move again.

Really Destiny thought he was dead? Didn't she walk in while he was in the middle of talking? Dead people didn't talk. Well... unless they were ghosts. But Carter was NOT a ghost, he was very much alive.

But he was glad that Destiny stopped by. It gave him time to think about what just happened. Marie loved him. Of everything he heard about hearing those words he was surprised that the emotion he felt was surprise. He felt nothing but surprised. But that didn't make ANY sense. Marie meant the world to him. Shouldn't that mean that he should feel... something? Did he love her too? If not, he was at least close right?

Gah! Why did Marie have to bring that up now? It was making his head hurt. In the middle of quidditch injuries was definitely not the time to think about love. No, he'd just have to... he didn't know... just think about it later maybe. Sometime when his brain actually felt like working.

Would she notice if he didn't say anything about it...?

"I'm feeling about the same." he said. He had been thinking so hard he didn't even realize he was moved to a different room.

Lily left the door open when she walked in, and she hovered beside it, passing a glance between the two children. "Would you like your girlfriend to stay, Carter?" She asked, turning to her shelves of potions, "It's your call." Lily didn't mind either way in this case, it would be the patient's decision.

Carter looked up at Marie. Of course he wanted her to stay! Unless he looked awful... Or unless the healing process was going to hurt... He didn't want to look like a huge baby in front of her. But if it did hurt he'd want someone to hold his hand. Great. Nothing started and he was already thinking like that huge baby he was trying not to be.

Cue the headache.

Really, why did he keep thinking so hard in this condition?

"I'd like her to stay." he said finally arriving at a conclusion. Being near her made him feel lots better. As long as she wasn't mentioning certain four letter words, of course. Because those gave Carter headaches.

Plus, even if the nurse had kicked her out she'd find a way back in. Yup, his girlfriend was just cool like that.

Marie was relieved when Healer Moretti finally came into the room. Finally Carter would be healed and feeling a whole lot better.

Biting her lip she looked at Carter... would he want her to stay or would he ask her to leave? Whatever he decided, she knew she would have to do... even though she wanted to stay by his side.

Hearing him say he wanted her to stay she felt a wave of relief. "Thanks," she said as she moved away from him just a little so the healer would be able to work on him. "I'm right here if you need me." Not that she could do anything other than hold his hand if he wanted... which she would do all he had to do was ask her to come back over to him and she would be there.

Rafe followed Carter's levitated body. Hopefully he wouldn't get kicked out, but he just wanted to make sure he was okay. "Dude! I just heard!" Rafe exclaimed as he went over to Carter's side, oppostite Marie. "What's up Marie?" he said quickly before turning his attention back to Carter. "It should have been me bro..." Rafe said rather guilty. "It should be me in this bed and not you." If only Rafe was able to have made it, but he had...well, something.

With a nod, Lily collected several vials and stepped across the room to the bed, "I'm going to have to examine you, to see if there are any broken bones, and whatnot. But first, I need you to take this potion." She held out one of the vials, "It will keep the pain at bay, so that when I am poking and prodding, you won't feel it."

"You are more than welcome to stay, dear." Lilyan said, looking over her shoulder and smiling at the girl. She conjured up a chair and nodded to it. "Have a seat."

What.

Was.

This?

Lilyan Moretti was NOT amused.

"Excuse ME." She turned around and crossed her arms. "Who are you, and what gives you the thought that you can barge into my healing room and cause a ruckus?"

Arching an eyebrow, she waited for an answer with a FROWN on her face.

NOT AMUSED.

Carter smiled weakly at Marie. He was grateful for all the support she gave him. And he was also glad just to have her in the room. He did not want to be in here by himself half broken and in pain.

Carter looked over vaguely when he though he heard Rafe. Wait. That was Rafe. How did he know he was in here?

Before he had a chance to ask though he was being handed a vial. FINALLY! A potion. He mumbled a "thanks" and then raised a trembling arm and took it from the healer's hand. Raising it to his lips he downed it in one gulp. He then dropped back down. It hadn't changed his weak and sore feeling. But it was still an improvement.

Then she was talking to Rafe. Oh, he was so concerned with taking the potion that he hadn't remembered him walking in.

"That's Rafe. He's one of my friends. I took over keeper for him today." he said pleased that the speaking wasn't painful anymore.

And now it was time to be poked and prodded. Ehh.. at least he wouldn't be able to feel it much.

"I know, I know, I should've knocked or owled or you know...something, but come on Miss, can't a bloke come in concerned," Rafe's eyes were getting all glossy. "How would you feel if you heard that you're best mate took the position you were supposed to play in the match and he gets injured in your place?" Surely she would understand. The Healer was letting Marie stay. "Miss, can't you see I'm torn up over this," he said all wide eyed and concerned. Okay, maybe it was the Wolfsbane potion, he was taking it more often since the last little incident and it seemed to always make him a little more loopy than usual.

Lilyan was still unamused.

"Concern does not cause one to forget their manners, OR the rules. You are not allowed back here without permission, and I have not given you permission."

Lilyan walked to the door and opened it. "You are dismissed. You can wait in the waiting room if you so choose, but the next time you disregard my rules, I will be taking points."

Returning to her patient, Lily nodded, "Carter, can you tell me what hurts? Or, more, what did hurt, before you took the potion?"

Marie looked up when Rafe came barging into the room. Sure, NOW he shows his face. Where was he during the match when Carter was getting hurt in his place though? "Rafe," she said not smilling at all. What's up? He has the nerve to ask her what's up? "I'll tell you what's up. Carter almost died thanks to you. Where were you? What was so important that you couldn't make it to the match to play your position?" Really, he couldn't make it to the match but he could make it to see the damage that had happened.

Looking over at Carter drinking the potion she felt a little better knowing that soon his pain would be going away. She slowly sank down into the chair the healer had conjured for her. It wasn't until then that she realized just how exhausted she was, not only physically but emotioinally too. For a while there she had really thought she was about to lose her boyfriend. Now it looked like he was going to be okay though so she was able to breathe easier.

Oh and now Rafe feels bad and wishes he was laying in that bed. Pfft, Marie wishes the same thing... that is was Rafe in that bed.

Thankfully Healer Moretti wasn't going to let him stay. Even though Rafe did seem concerned she did not want to have to look at him ight now. Turning to him she said, "Thanks for stopping by now, someone will let you know how he is doing later." Yeah, good riddance to him right now.

"Miss I just wanted to see if I could help," Rafe said sadly to the Healer. Stupid full moon, he would have been at the match in a heartbeat, but he just couldn't. He would've passed out on the field. It was something he could explain, not here and not to them. And now Marie was practically yelling at him.

"You think I didn't want to be there Marie?!" Rafe yelled. "Do you think I wanted this to happen!?" Rafe stopped for a moment and took in a deep breath, he could feel his temperature rising and his heart was racing. He reached in his pocket and pulled a tiny leather canteen out and took a swig of wolfsbane. It gave him a soothing sensation and he could feel his heartbeat slowing and the blood that was boiling within him coming to a simmer. He pocketed the canteen once more. If anyone asked, it was just a calming draught.

He took in another breath. "Clearly I can see where I'm not wanted." He felt completely defeated. Rafe didn't understand why Marie was so angry with him? It was Quidditch, he could've easily been injured playing Chaser as well.

Carter watched the scene unfold in front of him. Whoa, Marie was a bit mad about him playing Keeper wasn't she? It was a good thing that she was just mad at that, he'd hate for her to worry every time he played a game.

He was going to wave to Rafe... but that would be too much effort. He'd wave to him some other time - some other time when his arms felt like moving.

What hurt? Hmm... that was a tough question. It was more like what didn't hurt?

"My head." he said instantly. Especially when Marie decided to say the l-word. She said it twice even!

And there was the headache. Okay, so maybe he couldn't blame that on the injury, but he planned to anyway.

"And my ribs." he said. It did hurt to breathe for awhile. But if he was perfectly still he couldn't tell - which was probably a bad sign.

"Mostly I feel completely drained and bruised and sore everywhere." Which, after getting hit and falling 50 feet should be understandable. He felt like he never wanted to move ever again. He liked it just fine floating on his little cloud where he didn't have to move at all.

Oh yeah. And his pride. That had been hit the hardest.

YELLING? Now he was yelling?

"Out." Lilyan said firmly pointing her wand at the door. "And 5 points from Gryffindor for your attitude." And that was THAT.

"Well, the potion I just gave to you will help your head pains." Lily started, "But you do have a bit of a nasty bruise on your forehead." Gingerly, she touched it, before applying the salve. "This is going to tingle." She told him, watching the color disappear from his skin.

Then she prodded at his ribs, feeling for breaks. "Not broken." She said, feeling a bit more, "But definitely dislocated. Lay still." She added, pulling back and reaching for her wand, "I'll need to reset it."

Tingling? She should have said stung. Because that's more what it felt like... tingly stingy goop.

He then waited to hear how bad the damage was.

A dislocated rib was definitely not the worst thing that could have happened to Carter. But he did know that popping it back into place might hurt. Unless the potion was supposed help with that pain too. He wasn't quite sure. This was the worst accident he'd had his whole wizarding career. He really had no idea what to expect.

"Okay." he said mentally preparing himself for whatever it took to reset it. In the muggle world that would have meant applying a lot of pressure. Was it the same here? And since it was his ribs did that mean it would take longer to heal, just like the muggle way?

Despite everything he was kind of excited to see what would happen. He'd have to tell his parents all about it.

Hearing the healer say she was going to have to reset Carter's ribs Marie stood back up. She had a feeling this was going to be painful and she wanted to be there next to Carter, you know just in case he needed someones hand to squeeze.

She stood on the oppisite side of the healer and grabbed his hand. "Feel free to squeeze as hard as you want," she said. She didn't want him going through this alone and this was the only way she knew how to help him.

Apparently, she had not been clear, "There's no need to worry, dear." She said, turning her eyes to the girl, "The potion was for all the pain." However, if the girl wanted to stand close, then Lily didn't mind. "Make sure you stay still as well, though."

Turning back to Carter, she nodded, "You won't feel anything, but you may hear a crack, just so you know, it's nothing to be worried about."

Holding up her wand, she paused, "Are you ready?"

Carter smiled at Marie. She was so good to him. He squeezed her hand.

Oh good! he thought. Now that he didn't have to worry about the pain this would be easy.

"Yeah. I'm ready." he said. He then lay perfectly still wondering how this was all going to work.

Good, Carter wasn't going to feel any pain. This was good news.

She smiled when he squeezed her hand. Even though he wasn't going to be in pain she was still going to stand right there with him... keeping herself very still like the healer said.

Flicking her wrist with expert ease, the rib popped back into place with a little POP noise. "How does that feel?" She asked. He should be all ready to go. Easy peasy. Magic.

Carter waited for the 'pop'. There is was. That was nothing like going to the muggle doctors. "It feels like... I can move again." he said full of relief. He still felt a little sore... but that was much better than feeling broken.

Marie stood there watching as the healer flicked her wand. Hearing a slight 'POP' she squeezed Carter's hand a little. Yeah, that might have hurt her worse than it did him... and she wasn't even the one who was injured.

He could move? "That's GREAT!" she said as she squeezed his hand again. That was the best thing she heard him say since before the match had started. "How long will he have to stay here?" she asked looking back over to the healer now?

Lily shrugged, "He doesn't have to stay at all." She said, and then turned her eyes on Carter, "Do you feel as if you need to stay?" Because, if he didn't feel bad still, then he was perfectly fine.

Yep. Healed.
