Kylie smiled and nodded. Evelyn seemed a little out of place, not that she looked it, she just.. sensed it. She'd talk to her later.
"I'm so glad it was safe and such," her eyes darted towards Josh, was THIS the kid she'd heard so much about and just nearly met before having to dart off the train? He WAS a Gryffindor, and Evie and Josh WERE glancing at each other... well, another conversation topic.

"Well, over the course of last year I skipped a lot of time--if you hadn't noticed--studying various things, in depth of course," Kylie hoped that her professor knew she was incredibly talented and bright by this point, she hated to mention it, she knew it, just hated it, "and spent the summer traveling Europe with my older muggle brother. With special permission from the ministry, helped attained by my grandmother." Heh. Yeah. The crazy lady who always got permission for her to perform magic outside of school for learning purposes, and now got permission for her to share that magical world with her muggle kin, or, well, just her brother, "And what a magnificent journey it was! The magical equivalents of biology and other sciences... wand crafting... quidditch styles... magical techniques for duel, charms, potions... It was absolutely fabulous."

By this point, Kylie was basically in a daze of her memories, how absolutely enchanting they'd been.

Daniel smiled and nodded at the professor. "Well, I bet it is worth it because you have a beautiful daughter." he said looking at the cot.

"As for my summer, I returned to Romania to hold the Spring Festival... Muggles really are so crazy about their festivals that they won't start without me..." he said and then giggled.

"By the way, Professor." he said clearing his throat. "The reason I am here is that, I wanted to help you with the Muggles Club of yours." he said scratching his chin. "I mean, I am on my last year here in Hogwarts and I wanted to make something fun. And I bet you needed lots of help because you are a full time dad now." he said in a teasing manner.

Josh was staring at Evelyn trying to figure out what she and Professor Lawson were talking about when he heard the professors voice adressing to him which made him jump and realise where he was. What could he do for him? Oooh! Josh, then, considered himself lucky since Lawson seemed to forget about babysitting. Phew! The boy visibly relieved, a little smile appearing on his face.

But now he had to make something up quickly. ''Hmm i...'' he glanced at Evelyn again as if he was expecting help from her ''...i wanted to ask if we are going to play muggle sports again, you know, at the class'' Yeah good point. A good one to remind him what he had done at the first one.

Victoria decided that she would go and see her favourite professor, she walked towards his office,knocked on the door and waited for a reply.

Evelyn was always good value. Marcus loved watching her agree with him when clearly she didn't want to.

As she stood up, he raised an eyebrow at her and kicked his feet up onto the table. "Going so soon Evelyn? I thought you might want to give Ava a cuddle."

Oh yeah he hadn't missed the disdainful looks on her face everytime she looked over to his daughter. It was quite amusing.



Marcus could never keep up with Kylie, she was like someone who was on a permanent sugar high or something.

"I had noticed" he said with a nod of his head. It still amazed him that with all the students that went to Hogwarts he was able to remember their names and when they kinda disappeared.

"That sounds absolutely amazing Kylie. Which was your favorite place?"



Marcus looked back over to his daughter and smiled, "Yeah she is beautiful" he said turning back to face Daniel again, "Thank Merlin, she looks like her mother."

Man these kids went on some awesome holidays, he was so taking Iliana and Ava away on the next summer vacation. "Sounds like fun."

A smile spread across Lawson's face at the mention of the club, "Now that's what I like to hear." He spared a glance at Evelyn as if to say 'see not everyone thinks it's a crappy idea.

"Thank you Daniel, that's very nice of you to offer and I will probably take you up on that, I could probably do with some help setting up." Lawson rubbed the back of his head and grinned at the Gryffindor, "And that will be five points for Gryffindor for showing initiative to help out."



Ri-ight!

"We won't be doing any lessons this term on sports but we may play something in the muggle studies club."

And then because Lawson was in a good mood and he liked to torture the boy, he gestured towards a vacant chair. "Please have a seat Joshua and tell me what is the Amazon and where is it?"



Looking towards the door, Lawson gave Victoria a smile and gestured for her to come inside.

Hearing Lawson say that it was okay for him to enter the office, Adam stepped through the door. He noted the hushed voice of the Professor, and then caught sight of the baby. Awrhh, it was SO cute. Adam loved kids, but with ickle babies came poop and stuff. Which smelt funny.
Eh, maybe he liked older kids. Who he could play football with. Nevertheless, the baby was cute.

"Hi Sir," he grinned enthusiasticly, looking 'round the office and catching sight of the guitars. WOW. Lawson still had them, still played, huh? Well, that was just awshomeness. Actually, looking at them made Adam realise he had a similar electric one. Which made him laugh a little bit. "Did you think any more about the Muggle Studies Club, Professor?"

Ehhh...

Frowning, and with a hint of horror in her expression, her eyes landed on the cot. They stayed there for a few LONG seconds as thoughts of cuddling the little thing entered her mind. It was like, a nightmare story! Out of nowhere that little thing will grow up and take over everyone and everything. And thankfully, Evelyn wasn't going to be the one living that story. Unfortunately though, she was already living one with her little brother.

And she suddenly found herself needing her cat! She needed Poof! EEP!

What did get her out of her little night-terror that she was having, was the fact that the Professor just gave that one guy points. For 'showing initiative to help out'. Pfft. Rolling her eyes, she made a move towards the door, making sure to steer very clear of the cot, when she just...happened to hear the last thing the Professor said.

Raising a brow, she immediately turned around and sat back in her seat. "I might have a few more moments to...watch...it." she said, taking another nervous and VERY BRAVE glance at the cot. She, would like to hear what the Amazon was and where it was at. And if she did, she was not going to be talking to Josh forEVER since that meant he actually went and looked it up. Which also meant...Bunz...*scoff*

And WHY everyone was so enthused about this Muggle Studies club!?

She saw the door open and Professor Lawson gestured her into the room, she walked in and saw a few other students in the room, "Hello Professor Lawson!"

Daniel smiled big when the Professor commented on the vacation he had. "Well, if you would like to have a vacation sometimes. You are more than welcome to come by Romania. I would love to host for you and professor Iliana, sometimes. I got plenty of rooms in my place." he said smiling.

His face then turned pink when he received the first point for Gryffindor. "Thank you, Professor. Just tell me what to do and when to do it and I will be there."

Sidney's visit with Professor Lafay has left her feeling depressed. Harry had told her she shouldn't eat all her Chocco Balls before she got to Hogwarts. Now she has none to cheer her up. Funny when she's down, she always finds her way to Professor Lawson's office. Sidney thought about him a lot this summer. Of course she was at her Quinlivan grandparents in Australia enjoying the muggle world. Sidney knocks on the door hoping Lawson is in and has a full candy dish.

And here was the guy who had inspired the idea for a muggle studies club. Marcus grinned back at Adam, "Hey Adam, how's it going?"

He noticed the Ravvie looking at his guitars and his grin broadened even more. Perhaps one day the two of them could get together and have a jam session. Actually that was probably another activity they could do in the club.

Obviously that too was on Adam's mind.

"I have indeed Adam and I am starting one up on the weekend."

It?

She was calling his daughter an It?

"Evelyn" he said giving her a 'look.' "My daughter is not an IT. She is a human being just like you are."

As if she had sensed that people were talking about her, Ava began to cry. Marcus threw Evelyn another look before standing up from his chair and walking over to the cot and picking his daughter up into his arms.

He walked back over to his desk, "Since you woke her maybe you should try and get her back to sleep."

"Hello Victoria" Marcus said giving the young girl a warm smile, "How are you? How was your summer?"

Hmm, Romania.

That was one place he had never been to before and it did sound rather amazing. "Might just have to visit the place sometime."

Of course he would have to run it by his wife first. Man he was so under the thumb.

"It will probably be this weekend sometime but I'll be sure to get a message to you." Marcus stretched his arms over his head as he looked at Daniel. "So what are you plans after you graduate?"

Turning his gaze towards the door when he heard yet another knock, Marcus motioned for Sidney to come into the office.

Sidney walks into the room and her face lights up. She drops her bag by someone chair. Sidney didn't care who's its was and ran over to Professor Lawson's desk. "Oooh, she's beautiful! How are you Ava? Her name is Ava; isn't it? I'm Sidney, one of your dad's many fan girls. Don't cry... Do you need your nappie changed?" Sidney is in love. She forgets all about her horrible visit with Professor Lafay. Sidney would love to hold her, but Ava is still so small. Professor Lawson might not want a second year holding his daughter.

An evil and extremely persuasive with one little toothless grin... human being.

EEP! It was crying! It was crying. That sound. Horrible, horrible sound. She had to get out of here. It was an incredibly unwise decision to stay here in the office.

About to stand up and make her way sneakily out the door when the Professor's back was turned, she only got so far when he turned back around with IT in his arms.

Whaaat? "Wait. Nonononono..." That was the wrong thing to do. "I have to go. I didn't mean to call it an...it."

Muggle Studies Club? What was Muggle Studies Club? A bunch of class lover sticky heads led by the Lawsonator? Hehehehehehe it sounded like it was going to be fun tough. He was going to love messing with those Muggle Studies lovers and perhaps Stutters would be there to demonstrate his inabilities. Haha. While thinking those a grin appeared on the boy's face yet it vanished quickly right after the professor's next words.

Amazon...right. Trying his best to remember where Amazon was Josh sat on the chair and took a deep breath ''Amazon is...a rainforest. Some people like to call it a jungle and...'' but where was it? Where? Where? ''...um it is where Professor Bunbury has vanished to and um...there were some countries'' he was trying to remember the countries yet Evelyn's reaction to the idea of making the baby sleep totally distracted him. What was she going to do?

Daniel scratched his head and responded, "Well, my future is practically laid out for me... As the heir to the vis-Count throne I am responsible for ruling the small patch of land in there. But, I think," he said and then whispered.

" I think, I would ask Raven to marry me." he said in a hush tone.

"I am good thank you, I have send my summer at my boyfriend's castle. He graduated last year" she told the Professor.

Sidney looks over at Evelyn. Obviously she doesn't like babies. Nothing to be ashamed of. A lot of people don't like them. Sidney remembers Harry's reaction when her parents brought their youngest brother home. Although I think asking if they could send Tommy back was a little rude. Hee hee, I sound like Professor Lefay. "Hello Evelyn, How are you doing?"

Still pulling Sabel by the hand, she made her way into Sir Lawson's office without getting lose mind you. Arya was excited about the idea the two of them had come up with, she almost skipped into the room. Once at the door the door to his actual office she gave it a few light knocks, absently swinging her and Sabel's hands.

Kylie smiled, she'd weirdly missed chatting with all her professors. Or, well, the one's who appreciated a chat.

"Well..." She paused for a moment to think, "I spent my younger years in southern France, so I sort of knew my way around, and I mean I loved everything about it. muggle or magical... but as for a place that wasn't once my home?" She paused again.

"Germany? You know, they had some very interesting muggle history there from the 1920's. My brother was totally fascinated and we went to a lot of really cool exhibits. And historical sites. It even effected magical history. So cool. I mean, you know the two worlds are separate, kind of. But they're so inter-related. Like, they affect each other so greatly..."

Kylie realized she was getting off on one of her intellectual tangents and stopped herself. Whoops.
She only hoped that maybe the professor would pick up the conversation. Or else there was going to be a VERY awkward pause...

Her eyes were still wide as she stared at the Professor and It the little human... That was until she heard her name being called.

Turning her head to look at whoever was speaking, Evelyn took a few steps back, finally noticing how many people were in the room. Really, Lawson needed a bigger office. However, her legs collided with the chair she had been previously sitting in, making her...sit down. It was like there was some force that didn't want her to leave the room without being tortured first!

"Fantastic. Who are you?" she asked, slightly jumpy as she stared at the girl who had greeted her. Did Evelyn know her? She couldn't remember! The Slytherin had seen the girl in classes before but...

Sabel had to laugh a little at Arya's adorible enthusiasm; apparently their idea was a very good one. He just hoped that other people would be as interested.

There were a few stumbles and blunders along the way as his long legs tried to replicate her excitment while not taking him ten feet ahead of her in the time it took her to make a few strides. He was about to offer to give her a piggy-back ride, more for the fun of it than anything else, when he realized they were already at Professor Lawson's door. Well that was a short trip.

Grinning, he glanced down at Arya and their swinging hands. He really hoped this would work. The school needed a bit more honest fun here and there after all.

Sidney's not one for remembering people's names, but she thought she recognized the face from Herbology class. "I'm sorry. I'm Sidney Marlowe. I thought we shared a tea plant last term in Herbology class. So many students and I seems to be mixing people up already. Please forgive me."

"It's good thank Professor. I'm glad to be back at school though," Adam grinned at the teacher. Which was the first time he'd ever said that out loud, and albeit weird, it sounded good. To say he enjoyed learning must've made Hogwarts alot better than Durmstrang. But, of course, everyone knew that already. "How was your summer?"

Turning away from the guitars, Adam saw Lawson's grin widen. He'd so have to ask if they could jam together sometime. Or if they could do something like that in the club. Unless that would be inappropriate to ask. Yeah, he'd keep it to himself for now. He didn't even know if the club was going to go forward.

His question was answered however. "Really? Wow, I can't wait sir, what are we gonna do?" Now he was even more hyper. YAY! for excitement!

And now he knew and how to get Evelyn to behave herself from now on. Marcus grinned down at his daughter and she immediately stopped crying as though they had both been in on torturing the Slytherin.

“Well good” he said tearing his gaze away from Ava and looking at Evelyn, “I don’t think she likes you anyway so you’re safe…for now.”

Oh he couldn’t wait until Ava was a little older and then she could really terrorize the girl in front of him.

Turning to face Sidney, Marcus gave her a warm smile, “Yes her name is Ava” he said and then laughed heartily at Sidney’s next comment.

Fan girl?

Now that brought back memories of when he used to be in a band and had girls screaming at him. But that was almost twenty years ago now and the only girls who screamed at him now were his wife and daughter.

“Are you offering to change her nappy Sidney?”

Merlin, he hoped so because that was definitely one thing he did not enjoy doing. He held out his daughter for Sidney to take.

Marcus snorted at Joshua’s attempt at answering his question and he reached into his drawer and pulled out a book on South America and held it out to the Gryffindor.

“You got one part of the question right, so I’ll award you two points. But I suggest you read that because I will test you again later and you had better be able to tell which countries the Amazon runs through.”

There was a hint of amusement in his eyes as he regarded the boy, it was rather funny that the Gryffindor still believed that is where Bunbury had gone to.

Obviously he didn’t know the red head as well as he thought he did.


Married?

These kids were always in a rush to do things.

It had taken Marcus thirty six years before he had thought about marriage. Okay well that technically wasn’t true. He had been planning on proposing to Bunz but he had been in his mid twenties then, which was a whole lot better than seventeen or eighteen.

“Well…that’s…amazing Daniel. You really do have your future all mapped out don’t you. I hope it all goes well for you” he said sincerely and he meant it.

Oh dear!

Mentally calculating the ages in his head, Marcus was a little shocked at the difference but made no comment. “That sounds very nice Victoria and are you looking forward to the new term?”

Looking toward the door, Marcus made a flourishing sort of gesture with his hand and grinned at the two students standing in his doorway. “Come on in, you two.”


Well it certainly sounded as though Kylie had had a very exciting and educational summer vacation.

Marcus couldn't help but grin at the girl's obvious enthusiasm and he nodded his head at her. "They do indeed. Only we have a slight advantage over the muggles. We know a lot about their existence and have watched as they evolved and made life easier for themselves but yet they know nothing about us. Well most of them don't anyway."

He lent back in his chair and raised an eyebrow, "Is that a good thing or a bad thing though?" he asked the young Hufflepuff.

Laughing at Adam's enthusiastic attitude, Marcus looked at the boy with an excited gleam to his eyes. "I have many plans for the club. But I'm thinking of starting with something a little tame...so we will be learning how to cook muggle style."

Ugh. She remembered that Herbology class. "No, I was one of the people Bunz soaked to the bone for the demonstration of the hot air charm." she mumbled, crossing her arms.

Another reason she disliked the ex-Professor. If she really was in some amazon forest, than Evelyn was glad for it! Just not the fact that Josh was looking up what the Amazon was. Or trying to remember what the Professor said about it for that matter.

*scowl*

"Well, I don't particularly like her either." she mumbled quietly under her breathe, frowning as the IT stopped crying when Lawsguini smiled at her.

Pfft.

She just did that on purpose!! Cried, and then stopped crying when the Professor smiled at her. Just to get inside his head that she actually liked him. Yea. Evelyn was onto her.

Her and her already budding evil ways...
