Kevin thought and said "Hmm i was thinking about ginger Herminny" Kevin wasnt too sure what ingredents would be the best to settle a cat's stomach

"Thats good, I'm thinking to have some knott grass in our potion too cause I saw my cat eating grass and looked up why and read it's good for their stomach and digestion so it'll be perfect for this. So we have a few ingredients to work with now. So how much of each sould we put in the potion. Maybe a pinch of camaile, a table spoon of ginger, half a tablespoon of pepermint , and three sprigs of knot grass. What do you think Kev?".

"I would guess that, based on how the other lessons of this term have gone, we are definitely going to give this potion to that Kneazle." Sad, but true. "Let's get to thinking. We have to start eventually..."

Keefer had studied his notes from previous terms right before coming to the final. He began to think back over what he had read. It was all there somewhere, he knew, but how to get it out of storage was the problem. As he sifted through his thoughts, he began to compile a small list.

"Nancy, I made a list of some ingredients I remember are good for nausea, but none of them is magical. Take a look and tell me what you think."

Kevin smiled and said "That sounds pretty good Herminny" Kevin was hoping that there potion would help the professors poor ill cat

Perhaps, this really wasn't Lafay's cat. It was a fake! Or, maybe it wasn't...

The Slytherin was just, extremely confused that the Professor was so willing to let students, and NOT potions masters, give her cat something that may even make things worse. Unless, they weren't going to give the cat what they were making, and the Professor was going to test it on someone elses cat first...

Hmmm. "Well, i guess, peppermint? Or mint..whatever." she said quietly, smiling back at Patroclus as he passed by them. At least, it helped soothe human's stomachs when they felt upset. Who knows about cat's stomachs. "Water for sure too." Fluids were also good since the cat apparently was throwing up all of his.

...or hers. Whatever it was.

Violet saw Selena, she was a goody-goody student right? She walked over to her. "Hey, want to be my partner?" she asked and forced a smile. She really hoped the girl didn't think it was a friend offering or something.

james was starting to grow impatient he had a potion idea all ready to go but no partner to do it with, well thats what happens when your parents transfer you to Durmstrung and transfer you you back to Hogwarts right at the end of term. He was desperate now shouted "Anyone need a partner!?!?!" immediately after a wave of embarrassment swept through him as that was a little louder than intended

Selena looked up at Violet. Ew. What made her think she'd want to work with her? "I suppose," she said a bit haughtily. Hmph. Just for the sake of a grade... just for the sake of a grade.

"Okay." she replied and sat down next her, making sure she wasn't close to her at all. She wanted to bring up how she heard that Selena stole her date at the Ball but decided to stick to Potions as the topic. "Alright, so what ingrediants do you think will help?" she asked.

She sighed. "Well, I think peppermint will help, or lemon juice..." she offered. "What about you?" she asked. She was going to wait for Violet to say something mean to her. Yup, it was just what Violet liked to do, or so it seemed.

"I agree." Boy, that was painful to say. "I think maybe some ginger too." she said trying to think of some good ingrediants. She was surprised Selena was cooperating with her she would've thought she was going to say no to having her as a partner.

Selena nodded. That would work too. "Well, I heard that dittany is used when one has a stomach ache as well, so, perhaps that could be a possible ingredient," she said. Ohhhkkaaay... this was scaring Selena. She was gettign along with Violet... or well... tolerating her.

Mina took one deep breathe as she stopped before she entered the room. Unlike the terms before, she wasn't at all looking forward to the final in Potions. Dare she even think it, but she missed Professor Kazimeriz. Pop quiz finals and having silver scales thrown at her head sounded more appealing than anything she had experienced this term.

She really didn't want to enter the room but it would be rather un-ravvie like of her to skip out on a final and she was sure that Professor Vindictus would not be at all pleased by it either. She just had to suck it up andtake the final. The sooner she entered and got it done, the better.

Exhaling the breathe, she walked in and glanced about. It didn't look like anything dangerous was happening so that was a blessing. She did worry that maybe the final would entail something that would plan her in the hospital wing again or something. But brewing a potion for a kneazle didn't sound all that mencing and she could pick her own partner.

Walking toward her usually spot, she spied a familiar face. Her LionBoy. Just the one boy she was looking for. Smiling, she made a detour and claimed the spot beside him. "Yeah, stranger."

His head was already reeling with possiblities for an antidotes, but he needed a partner first....

Mina smiled and pulled out her potions journal. "Good thing I showed up then," she teased. "Of course, I'd be honored to be your partner, kind sir." she added in her sweetest southern belle accent.

Partnering up with one of her favourite Lions was just what she needed to possoble get her through the final. She'd be less likely to hurt herself when partnered with a friend.

Patroclus was not enjoyng the pressure of their current situtation, however at the same time it gave him a drive and determination to do it right and do it well!

"So a sore tummy, I feel like a doctor," the Lion smiled, tapping is chin with his finger, "Well some possible ingredients would be ginger, mint, chamomille but something a little more bizarre is flat lemonade," the hudson boy had always had a class of flate lemonade and dry toast whenever they were ill.

"But we could also use some ingredients from the Calming Draught.....maybe?"

" My name is Rex Trigwell" he introduced himself to the boy who needed a paerner. " I will be your partner" Rex told him.

"hi im james black, so i was thinking that we take a calming draught as it will sooth and calm the animal but also use:
Peppermint: as it sooth's the digestive tract and stimulates bile production to aid digestion
Ginger root: as of the voletile and other oils it contains that will help with the nausea that the cat is likely to experience as of the over eating
Pomegranate: It contains a hord of vitamins such as C,A,E and also folic acid that aids the production of stomach acid which will help digestion
Water: in the calming draught as i would expectit will have lost a large amount of fluids"

James was rather pleased with his work it had taken him a rather long time to work out
"what do you think, reckon it will work" he said with anticipation

Pulling her notebook closer to herself, Destiny quickly wrote down the ingredients Evelyn had mentioned. She didn't know how they were going to divide up the ingredients, but all that could wait until later. First they needed to figure out what else to put in their potion..the potion that HOPEFULLY the Professor wasn't going to really give the cat. She was sure some people's would do more hurt than good..

She gave a quick smile to Patroclus as he passed before turning back to Evelyn, "So, I went to Professor MorganLawson's hut to ask her why Sly ate grass. She told me that he eats it to help his upset stomach. Weird, I know, but maybe we could add some of that to the potion, too?" It was still a weird thing for the cat to do, but at least he wasn't eating it because he enjoyed it.

Unless he did enjoy it..

"And maybe at the very end, we can put some milk in it, so the cat will drink it and we won't have to get scratched trying to shove it down it's throat."

Cats ate grass to soothe upset stomachs? Hmm, she hadn't seen Poof eat any grass though. Perhaps, she was just too healthy too! That was an encouraging thought. Yet... "That's really weird." she muttered, glancing at the list her friend was making. "But, yea I guess we can add some grass." Add, grass...to a potion. Sounded silly, but if it made cats feel better, why not? Just, hopefully the professor had some in the classroom. Otherwise they'll have to take a trip to the school grounds.

Oh and another good point! "Yea, because Lafay would soooo let us shove it down it's throat." Bahaha!...wait. What if she did? What if that cat was so viscous to others that Lafay would get a kick out of watching them try to feed this cat the potion? Was that part of the final?

Shaking her head out of her, less then encouraging thoughts, Evelyn cleared her throat before trying to think of anything else that could help. Oh, she actually did think of something. Random, yet funny. And of course, Destiny was somehow the inspiration behind it and she couldn't help but giggle. However, she was completely serious! "Hey, you know those puking pastilles? Half of the candy is supposed to make one stop throwing up..." Of course, that was after they ate the first half. And possibly, not tested on animals either... "Think that'll work too?"

Mina smiled and tapped her cheek in thought. "Yes, I'm sure it will be best to just get it all over with and then we can tend to other things." she replied. There were places she did need to be and people that wanted to see her and give her presents and all. Potion final first then birthday gifts.

Biting her lip, she continued to tap her cheek in thought and ran through all the possible ingredients they would use. "Well normally tea would be good with a bit of honey. Green or had with any of those items and all. But would that be save for the kneazle?" she voiced. Yes, if itg was her she would have just taken a nice gream tea with a bit of chamomile and ginger. "I like the idea of ginger though."

"Calming draught...yes that sounds good. What about moonstone and hellebore from the Draught of Peace?" she asked. Maybe the combination would be useful and safe on non-humans.

What, what HUGE sin had she committed to end up with Xylon Saar? Gold looked around, the moment he made a beeline for her, as if to see other possible or potential partners for this final.

None.

Because pretty much all the students had already paired up and, the few who hadn't, were in the process of asking each other to do so. No open spots, none that she could see. So she fixed a smile on to her face, and looked at Xylon. "Water," she said pointedly. Prince? Xylon = HER Prince? Good God, Xylon had gone mad!

For the sake of good grades. Do this for the sake of good grades.

She took a deep breath.

"I agree," she said, sitting down and propping open a notebook. "Valerian works as a sedative, and God knows the poor creature needs that." She looked up, for half a second, at the kneazle in the corner. Poor thing. "We'll have to see we don't overdo it though, so we'll have to keep it in a small proportion, when we've decided what other ingredients we want to use. We'll obviously need to work with water, because vomitting means a huge loss of it." She wrote down in her notebook, as she spoke.

"I think orange juice sounds like a good addition, too," she said, raising her eyelashes to look at Xylon. "Water is a requisite, but it isn't something that can fully replace energy and vitamins."

Know what Xylon wanted to do right now?

He wanted to smirk.

Because he knew she was trying her best to be brisk and business-like. Not let anything he said get to her.

But he had the common sense to realize that she had been studying her feet off for the finals. He didn't want to mess up one for her. Or for himself of course. So he nodded, resisting the urge to smirk.

"Inclusion of water --- indisputable," he agreed. "We might need to introduce twice of what we normally use, in the cauldron. It's not only going to be a medium in which we can brew a potion this time. It's an ingredient on its own. I agree about the orange juice. Good choice."

He paused to look at what she had jotted down so far. "Crushed bezoar sound good?" He asked. "To nullify the effects of any poisons. I was also thinking of asphodel as a sedative."

Were the corners of his mouth twitching?

Gold had that time-old [well, it seemed time-old now] feeling that Xylon was trying his best not to smirk at her. She decided not to give a rather pointed roll of her eyes, ignored whatever he was up to [in his mind, of course] and focused her attention back on to the discussion at hand.

Of course. Water was a necessity. "One and a half gallon, I think," Gold said. "But we can decide that later," she added. Right now, it would be nice to just get a list of what they wanted to use. She glanced down at her waterproof wristwatch, to check how much time they had left. Plenty, but time has a tendency to fly right out of the window. Poof. End of an hour, before you know it. In other words, all the more reason for them to be quick.

"Crushed or ground," Gold nodded, when he mentioned the bezoar. But she shook her head, at his next suggestion.

"We're already using Valerian, as a sedative," she said. "We don't want to overdo that. Asphodel is stronger. We could use it on its own, but with the Valerian, the combined effect might become too much for the kneazle to handle. We'll have to choose one. I think the Valerian." But he was free to state his own option, of course. They could work out another route, if Xylon disagreed. This was teamwork, after all.

"I think we can opt for whole lemons or lemon juice, too," Gold went on. "Those would be anti-bacterial. Oh, and Re'em or Salamander blood for strength." Her eyes flicked towards the kneazle. Weak, little thing. Gold - again - wanted to hug him. The kneazle, that is. "We'll need an agent of change, too. Fluxweed sounds life the safest bet, to me."

She looked up at him. "What d'you say?"
