The Milky Way Galaxy contains anywhere between 200 and 400 billion stars. A tiny fraction of those can be viewed right here, in the Hogwarts Observatory. This circular room was locked for a long time, but Professor Antares has opened it again - complete with a huge telescope that is a new addition this term. As it is difficult to operate and quite expensive, students need permission from the professor before they are allowed to use it, but a number of smaller telescopes that anyone and everyone is free to use are stowed away in cupboards lining the rounded walls.

Large star charts are pinned up on the walls as well. Not all of these belong to the school. Those that do not have a great number of notes and calculations added to them - although Professor Antares is first and foremost a teacher now, he is still able to supply colleagues with data and measurements. You are, of course, free to study his charts, but make very sure not to remove or misplace anything.

Stargazing, naturally, is an activity best pursued at night, and as such, the Observatory usually remains unlocked. Of course, there are superseding school rules that limit the hour at which students can still be out of bed. If you desire to study the wonders of the cosmos later than that, you need a note from Professor Antares. Should a student be found without such a note (or, alternatively, a creative excuse), he or she can expect... trouble.

In the same way that a library is more than just a building where books are stored, the Observatory is as much a place of scientific inquiry as it is a shrine to the grandeur and beauty of the Universe. Professor Antares, when he doesn't use the telescope for work, often comes here to think to himself, or for some peace and quiet. Please respect him and any other teacher or student spending his or her time here in this way by not running around or shouting.

Brody walked up the long stairs to the observatory. He looked back at Annabelle, who's hand he was still holding, and grinned. "Beautiful isn't it?" He led her up to the top and looked around at the stars. "They're almost as pretty as your eyes."

Annabelle wondering what they were doing. Annabelle grinning back at Brody. "Yeah they are beautiful." She said. She smiled at Brody's comment. "Why thank you." Annabelle said. She loved it when he complimented her.

"You are very welcome," Brody said with a smile. "Care to dance?" He bowed down and held his hand.

Annabelle smiles at Brody. "Why yes I would like to dance," she paused for a moment. "but there isn't any music." Annabelle said. She would have loved to, if only there was music.

"Baaababababababadabaa. Baadabadanapabapapabadada. Baaabapapabaaabapapa. Babababadabapababaada. Bababababababa." Brody smiled. "Now will yoi dance with me?"

Annabelle smiled. "Yes of course I'll dance with you, music or no music, just as long as I'm with you." Annabelle said to Brody. She loved him alot. It would be tragic if they broke up.

Brody smiled. He pulled her close to him and began dancing. He spun her around and spun her around again. "Having fun?"

Annabelle giggled. "Yes but I'm getting dizzy." Annabelle said. "But that's okay I don't mind getting dizzy, just not TOO dizzy...I'll throw up otherwise." Annabelle said with a cute smile.

Brody smiled. He was having a wonderful time, here with JUST Annabelle, no one else, because he loved HER, and no one else. "I'm sorry for making you dizzy, is this better?" He asked. Suddenly he dipped her down leaned in close, and without hesitation, he kissed her.

Annabelle smiled. She was shocked that he had done that. But she did not refuse. She didn't reply. She didn't want to. She kinda liked it. She wraped her arms around his neck and lost her balance, which her stumble a bit.

Brody felt Annabelle stumble a bit, which made him almost loose his balance. When he regained his balance he wrapped his arms around Annabelle's waist. That made him loose his balance, and this time he couldn't regain it. He fell to the floor, bringing Annabelle with him. When he landed it was like he was laying on top of her, but he wasn't. She was laying below him, he was on his knees, with his arms on either side of her. He smiled and kissed her again.

Annabelle felt Brody stumble. They fell which scared her a bit. When they hit the floor, sit was an awkward postion. But oh well, it's not like Josey come or something. Annabelle smiled as well. And when he kissed her, it was like heaven. Then she thought, Wait...do wizards and whitches believe in god? Oh well. She didn't want to get out of the postion. No matter how awkward. Because seriously they were the only two in there.

Josey walked up the long winding stairs to the observatory. They had plenty of time until it was time to be in their common rooms, and she just wanted to relax and see the stars. When she opened the door she saw Annabelle and Brody. "Hey guys how- woah. What is going on here?"

Annabelle got scared out of her skin. "Josey! Um....nothing nothing at all is going on here. Just me and Brody, you know hanging out, seeing the stars." Annabelle said. They really weren't doing anything. "Why do you ask?"

Maddie climbed the stairs to the Observatory and checked that her pass to be there at night was still in her bag. Good - it was. She reached the Observatory, at the very top of the Tower, and went in. She took out her telescope and set it up beside the big one that Proffessor Antares said not to use, and then realsied that she wasn't the only one in the room She turned around to see Josey, with Anabelle and Brody - who were in a very odd position on the floor, that made it look like he was lying on top of her. she wondered what they had been doing....
'Hey, you guys' she smiled, and turned back to the telescope. She decided what she wanted to look at, and went over to consult the star chart on the wall.

"Yes, stats. And how's that working out for you?" She had to smile a little, at annabelles completely innocent face. "I wad wondering because of the odd position that you guys are in." She looked at her watch and saw that it was getting late. "Guys, we should go, it's getting late."

Annabelle looked at Josey. "But, I don't want to go." Belle said. She ignored everything else Josey said except leaving. When Belle was having fun, or being with Brody, she never wanted to leave. "Brody you don't want to leave do you?" She asked with a begging face.

"Belle, we'll get in trouble I'd we don't leave," Brodu said. He got up and held out his hand. "Come on." He held out hand and helped her up. Then he led her out of the observatory.

"Maddie, this place is so cool!" Adelyn said to her, looking all around the Observatory. It was unbelievable.

'Isn't it just!' sighed Maddie. She loved it up here - it reminded her of the one her father had built for her at home 'Here, do you want to have a look?' Maddie asked, offering Adelyn the telescope

"Yeah, thanks!" Adelyn said, taking the telescope Maddie offered and looked out of it. The sky was astonishing, and once again, she was remind of her past, before her father died. She closed her eyes and shook her head, trying to shake the memory. She just wanted a new start.

'Are you alright?' asked Maddie gently 'You look a bit... upset...'

"It's nothing..." Adelyn said, trying to smile. "It's just...being here reminds me so much of my dad."

Rhea had made plans with Aiden to star gaze earlier that day. It was getting rather late she really hoped he hadn't forgotten. After all she did have to climb all those awful stairs and maybe being up here and feeling so muhc closer to the stars would help him open up more about what had been going on with him, or maybe not. Either way, if he wanted to talk he would and if he didn't?..Well the stars and moon were very beautiful tonight, they could enjoy that. Besides, she always had fun with Aiden, no matter what.
