Rule 4: Help each other out. Teamwork is important.
Rule 5: Have fun!!
The room has been set up with rows of benches each containing an oven, stove top, sink and food preparation area. At the back of the room is a huge pantry and industrial type refrigerators.
So come in and take your place at a work station and we can cook up some gourmet delights.
Kay walked into the room that Muggle Studies...well the club was going to be. She looked around and no one there. Did she get the wrong time? Walking over to one of the work station< she pulled out her book that had her recipes in it. She only had two or three but they were her great-grandmother and she loved them. The one she wanted to do first was fudge. It was candy but food right? Kay sat down and waited for some others to show up. Even the Professor would not want her to start with him. Would he?
Gold had a cookbook, under an arm. Not that she needed it, but maybe someone could go through it, and pick a nice dish. Or maybe Professor Lawson could have a look. At any rate, a cookbook is a useful, little thing, so she had brought one.
"Good day, Professor Lawson," she said politely, as she stepped in. "Hope you and Mrs. Lawson had a wonderful summer."

Maddie walked into the room and picked a workspace. She saw that there were only two other people there and waved shyly. She pulled out the recipe she had brought and looked at it again. It was a recipe for a cake that her cook, Mrs. Cavendish, used to make for her all the time.
'Good morning, Proffessor' she said politely, and waited for the cooking to start

They were going to.....cook. Muggle style.
Did he know she was horrible in the kitchen? Well Sir Lawson would find out soon enough, wouldn't he? Arya made her way into the room with a cookbook and a smile. No she couldn't cook, but she did like to make a mess and cooking was a great way to do that.
Making her way through the classroom, she spoted Gold and gave her a wave. She chose a seat near the front and hoped on the bench, sliding the book onto the table and fliped it open, smiling at her professor. "Hey, Sir Lawson. How are you?"

Sophia walked inside the room. She loves food and she often watch her mother cook -- but not in a Muggle way. She, being interested to study more about Muggles not to mention her mother was a Muggle-born witch, joined this club. Looking around the room, she only saw 4 students. She saw Kay, the Hufflepuff she'd met at the common room, and smiled at her. Then she walked toward the professor. "Good afternoon Professor Lawson!" she said.

Rhea walked into the room where the muggle studies club was. She had been exposed to muggle cooking before and she figured this was a great way to show other what she had learned. Giving that her mom was originally from the Caribbean she brought along a Caribbean cook book. Maybe they could jerk, or make some other tropical dishes everyone could enjoy. One thing about Caribbean food was, it was very spicy. She loved that about it though.
She beamed at professor Lawson and said a haughty "hello professor" and moved to an empty station, waiting for the professor to give further instructions.

Anywhere there was food was where Diggy wanted to be. And although his dad was a master chef Diggy never once asked to cook with him. Now granted his sister Paris was very territorial when it came to their dad and the kitchen was off limits to everyone but her when he was in there cooking.
However Diggy thought since he ate enough to feed a small army it would be nice to know how to cook himself. You never knew when your dad might not feel up to cooking dinner. And that would just be tragic. He walked in and looked around at the stations. Not many people were there and he shrugged and walked over to an empty one. he noticed a girl with flaming red hair. Like her head was always on fire. He wasn't sure he liked that color, but she seemed to wear it well.
This was going to fun...unless he burned off his eyebrows like his dad did a few years. He didn't know if he wanted to walk about looking like that for the new few weeks.

Oliver wandered into the classroom set out like a muggle kitchen with a grin on his face. Granted, cookery was for girrrrls, but who could complain when you got the chance to make a batch of cookies which you could then scoff on your own. And Oliver was being good at the moment; deciding upon a sugar free recipe following the consumption of syrupy sugary Butterbeer which sent him a bit bonkers and ended up with him falling off the roof of the Leaky Cauldron. Guh. But... lets us not speaketh of that again. heh.
Ooh! There was the Gryffie Prefect with the hair to match her house colours. Awesome. Oliver gave her a goofy smile; then he spotted Diggy whom he grinned at and took the bench next to him. “Hey, mate.” He said to the boy.

Evelyn couldn't believe she was standing there, in front of the door. There. In front of, the Muggle Studies Club, door.
Dear Merlin, what possessed her to do this? Lawson! That's who! He was tricky and evil. Evelyn could have said no, and had him re-create the darn candy all by himself without her having to join the club, but nooooooo. He had to convince her to come along and learn by herself.
So, not only was he successful in torturing her by making her sit extra time in her least favorite subject, he also was making her learn in her free time when she usually slept. Yes, she could've been sleeping right now and in fact, she would have preferred that no matter how much she was interested in cooking. Pfft.
Rubbing her face, Evelyn hesitantly took a step towards the classroom before taking a step away from it. No, she agreed to do this. And Destiny too, wherever she was, but... walking into the classroom, she kept her head down low, not looking at anyone, and stood in the way back next to the pantry. If she had a hood, she'd have that up too.
Maddie walked into the room and picked a workspace. She saw that there were only two other people there and waved shyly. She pulled out the recipe she had brought and looked at it again. It was a recipe for a cake that her cook, Mrs. Cavendish, used to make for her all the time.

Selena walked into the room. She had never really made any meals before. Though she had watched the house elves prepare the meals she ate, she wasn't allowed to make any or 'lower' herself to such. Selena saw Maddie and smiled. "Hi Maddie," Selena greeted.

Selena took the seat next to Maddie. "Well... I've never cooked before, but it seems like fun," Selena grinned. "My mother said the exact same thing!" Selena exclaimed. "Selena, sweetheart, you know that's what house elves are here for, right? You don't need to lower yourself to be like them, they're purpose is to obey orders," Selena quoted her mother's voice as she said it before rolling her eyes and smiling.

Nessa heard about the Muggle Studies Club and thought it was be a good idea to join. She thought it would be good to help other students who were not familiar with Muggles at all.
Nessa walks into the room to see a lot of stoves and ovens around the room, which reminded her a lot of home. Walking in, she looks around to see if she know anyone and she sees Maddie. Nessa gave Maddie a wave and walked to over to a stove and oven. She read the instructions of what will be going onto and she begins to think what she would want to cook. Finally Nessa starts making a batch of banana bread, which her mom use to make all the time.

He was munching on the end of a sugar quill and basking in the feeling of the sugar in his system when his eyes popped open at the sound of someone talking to him. It took him a minute to focus on the face to see who was talking to him. It was Oliver. He hadn't seen him in months. With a shaking hand he wiped the sugar from his mouth. "Hey," he answered. The rest of the sugar quill disappeared into his mouth. He promised himself he wasn't going to eat anymore today. He had already gone through half of the box and his mother was starting to notice all the candy he was eating. "How's um..quidditch going?" He didn't know things were so akward between him and Oliver. They were family, but he wasn't close to Oliver like he was his other uncles. Especially Liam. Granted Liam had married his aunts so he was around more, but Diggy guessed he had to make more of an effort with Oliver.

Oliver was still smiling as he looked around the classroom. Being a wizard was so so so cool, but it was a nice change to do muggle stuff once in a while. The boy had lived in the muggle world for the first eleven years of his life so he was competent with their ways. He turned back to look at Diggy when he spoke to him. “It's.. well, we're still taking names for tryouts so I haven't had to do a lot yet.”Shrug. But that would change soon and Oliver more than a little anxious about things – not that he would ever let it show, mind you but Kiri was going to be a hard act to follow. “What you making today?” He whispered. “Have you done this before?” Probably not if Oliver knew his half brother – Digz wouldn't have been allowed near the kitchen. Heh.

Evelyn.
That sneaky Slytherin.
She was the reason Destiny was here, dressed in her awesome apron and carrying a book on recipes. If it wasn't for her friend, she would have not come to this club, and she would not have the scowl upon her face. Seriously, seeing the Lawsonator in class was not enough? She had to see him in a club too!? Oh Merlin.
The only thing she was looking forward to was all the FOOD she was going to be able to eat. Even if they weren't supposed to share, she was gunna eat it anyway. Especially if people decided to make desserts. Especially pie. Too bad for everyone else, though, Destiny was not going to be making desserts. Nope. She had already picked out a recipe, and it was a good one! At least she thought it was good.
Entering the classroom..well, the ovenry, or whatever it is called..Destiny noticed she was the ONLY one wearing an apron!? That meant..she would be the only one wearing one, which made her special! Unless the others had theirs in their bag and such, then it would make them special too. Humph..she should have brought a chef hat. Spotting Evelyn standing all the way in the back, Destiny made her way over to her, "This was your idea you know."
Just had to remind her that.

He wondered how much sugar Oliver was on. He was grinning like a Cheshire cat and it was making Diggy giggle. He giggled and a blue colored bubble escaped from his mouth. Oh!!! Blue!! He was mesmerized with the bubble that he got off his bench and followed it around the room.
He poked it and it popped in his face. Showering him with sticky, sugary crystals. He giggled again and wandered back over to Oliver. "I put my name down for the tryouts," he said sliding back into the conversation like he had never followed a bouncing blue bubble around the room.
It was Diggy's turn to shrug. "I dunno what we are making. I hope it has sugar in it." His eyes glazed over at that thought. "Hmm sugar." he murmured. "You know Paris would never let me set foot in the kitchen." he told Oliver. Oliver had been on the receiving end of a Paris hex as well. "Can you cook like dad?" he asked his uncle. He didn't mean to keep comparing them but Oliver looked so much like his dad it was hard. And Diggy was as homesick as he ever was.

Cupcakes
Yes, that's all that she had on her mind at the moment. Well cupcakes, brownies, and cookies. Baked goodies and such, yes they were running amok in her mind. She just had this urge to bake at the moment and after those cupcakes during their celebration, they have been on her mind.
Her own cupcakes will be just as delicious if not a little bit better, yes that was her goal for sure. Plus, she did have a bit too much energy at the moment and it would probably wiser for her to focus the energy on something sweet and yummy, not something bad. Yes, those days were over for her. Mina didn't do bad, she was a nice girl after all.

Marie stood outside the door to the Muggle Studies Club debating on if she should go in or not. Why was she even considering joining this club? Did she really want to put herself through the torture of spending more time than she really had to with... Lawson, the one professor she blamed for her breakup with Evan. If he would have just kept his mouth shut and not encouraged Evan to play football he would have never left school last term. She wouldn't have had to spend most of the term worried about if he was ok or if he was coming back because he would have been there, at school with her. But nooooo, he had to put the stupid idea in his head that he could make it as a professional player if he really wanted to. So without even telling his girlfriend what he was doing Evan just left her and school to play a stupid muggle sport.
Yes, in Marie's mind it was all Lawson's fault that her and Evan were not together anymore... him and that stupid football.
So why was it she found herself standing outside this door again... getting ready to face the enemy? Because she was moving on with her life that's why.
She was now Carter's girlfriend... well she would be once he found the perfect moment to ask her that is. Yes, Carter was the only reason she was considering joining this club. Since he was muggleborn she thought it would be a good idea to learn how to do things the muggle way not that she would ever really do them that way, but at least she would know how. This was a way for her to show him that she was willing to learn about the lifestyle in which he grew up in.
Finally convincing herself to actually walk into the room she opened the door and went in only to find... Destiny and Evelyn in there too!? Whoa, what were they doing there? The last she knew, Evelyn hated all things muggle. She glared looked over at Lawson... if he did anything to Evelyn to make her come here she would so go stomp on his foot, you know because it wouldn't be nice to punch a professor in the nose.
She went over to a work station next to her friends and realized that she did not have a recipe with her. How was she suppose to learn to cook something if she didn't even know what she was going to make? "Um, hey guys, would either of you have an extra recipe I can use? I seem to have left all mine back in the dorm room." Yeah, like she had any to begin with. Pfft, why did she need recipes when they had house elves to do the cooking.
Muggle Studies Club with Professor Lawson? F-U-N. Real fun, not those who said it'd be fun, but it was actually a fiasco. And Evan would have that F-U-N. He had something to keep his mind off... stuff, and Professor Lawson was perfect for that. Not only did this club would teach him the true way of Muggles' lives, but it'd also be magic-free. He failed to cast magic these days, and it'd be nice to use only your hands. So yes, he was totally in.
Skipping to the door, he halted to check if it had already started. Relief. It hadn't. He quickly entered, pretty excited and enthusiastic until Marie. He grunted slightly. Why was she here? Was she not a Malfoy, who were famous for their disapproval of Muggles? He was frozen for a few seconds, and it took much effort to look at somewhere else. A small smile appeared on his face. Mina was here too. He could work with Mina, and ignore Marie, and everyone would be happy.
He sat next to Mina, greeting her with a warm smile and took some papera out of his pocket, which contained several recipes. Checking them one last time to see if one was missing, luckily, none was, he looked up at the professor for the instructions. This would be so awesome, despite Marie.

Reason: Should've read once again after writing.
Wooot! Muggle Studies! Something he was really good at. He didn't know how to cook really well but at least, he do know the fundamental things that should be keep in mind while cooking. And since it was going to be muggle's way of cooking, Cedric was prepared that they couldn't and shouldn't use their wands.
Having lived as a Muggle kid for eleven years, Ced had known almost every little thing about the non-magical world and he was still living as a simple muggle over the holidays and summer vacations in the first place.
Upon entering the class in an upbeat mode, Cedric ardently took a glimpse around and saw that there were already people who seem to be working together and there was Professor Lawson too. And he just hoped that he didn't came that late. He wiped the moisture off of his forehead as he entered the room; it was rather getting a teensy bit hot on the school grounds these days and he'd want winter to come sooner.
"Hey Professor Lawson." He greeted him with a genuine smile and reasonably enough, he walked toward the corner where the boys were.
