Zane smiled as he got questions, teaching was kinda fun. "Cars, Ms. Alex are what muggles use to travel, much like we Wizards Apparate. They are used daily, but they smell bad because they have to "gas them up" with petroleum based fuels. Now Ms. Miranda, flying cars. They do not know of flying cars, or they don't know about them as far as I know. More questions?"
Alex grinned at the response, and thought of another question, "What is your favorite type of car, Professor Zane?" Alex asked smirking.
Zane looked around and noticed that it was HIS turn. Oh gods..this was going to be fun. Zane limped up to the front of the room, and collected his thoughts. What to do this presentation on...ah ha! He had it! He vowed to thank his father once he got home for the summer break. "Today, we're going to learn about cars! More specifically, American Cars." he said, mostly because that's the only cars he knew about. His dad had always told him that England never really made good cars, and Zane had just taken his word for it. "There are three big motor vehicle companies in the States, they are Ford, GMC, which stands for General Motor Company, and Dodge. Each company has many sub-companies under it and they all make cars, trucks, vans, and any other full sized vehicle on the roads. I'm not going to go into the fine details of the models of the vehicles unless someone really wants to know. Anyone have any questions?" he asked, knowing that their would be.
"Excuse me Professor, Sir" Marcus called out with his hand raised in the air. "How big is the engine in a Dodge? And how fast can it go? What is the fastest American car?"

She beamed round at everyone, before allowing Selena to take her place, and returning to the bean bags and couches. She chose the one nearest to Eli and, scooting close to him, whispered,
"You can ask me after class."

"As I said before, the cars require gasoline to work. It uses a four stroke combustion engine to move. There was a company named AMC or American Motor Company, but GMC absorbed it a long time ago. They had to differentiate between the two companies." he finished with a smile.

Whoa, whoa, PAUSE, kid. Hit the break, take a breather, hand us the information in little bits. That was what Gold wanted to say. Instead, she pouted and said, "I want a car, Professor. How old does one have to be before one can drive a caaaaaar?"
Okay, so she already knew the answer to that, but it couldn't hurt to ask. Plus, she was supposed to be [one of] the disruptive student[s], here. It wasn't often - well, ever - that she got a chance to be one.

What on earth! Gold could not imagine anyone, anyone at all, dancing on their back in an actual lesson.

Patroclus laughed at how silly he must look, as he did as now regular but still extra-special Gold, had asked him; sit up straight!
Listening to the new teacher, an itybitytinyweny first year, Patroclus was instantly lost on the subject of cars, but he did have a question! "Sir have you ever been in one of those cars that can drive right into a river and float like a boat?"
Patroclus had seen one whilst in Africa when he was a youngen!

Somehow she'd gotten a saw that Fallon hadn't noticed. And now it was in Lawson's hands. At this point in time it didn't seem that safe.

She raised her hand to ask her first question. "Professor, how old do you have to be to own a car? Oh and how much do they cost?" Gold wondered why Professor Hayes had pronounced Chevrolet twice. In fact, she was going to ask him that. But her attention was taken off this little task by one Professor Lawson, who had apparently not run out of questions that actually sounded like questions, yet.
She leaned forward to whisper to him.
"Psst. Professor Lawson. I want a car. Do you think Professor Hayes will get me a car, if I ask him for one?"

"You must be 16 to legally drive alone, but you can be 15 to get a driving permit, meaning that if your mum or dad are in the car, you can drive."

"SUV stands for Sports Utility Vehicle. As far as which car is the fastest, it depends on the size of the motor, if they're racing cars, and things like that." he replied with another smile.

Not from where she came. The legal driving age there = eighteen. But Gold knew Zane had talked specific cars, so there was a good chance his answer applied to certain locations - countries. She jotted it down because, you know, this was a class and this was something new.
Jacob was trying to figure out what he was going to do his presentation on. He remembered about the small cube he had, he'll do it on that. Jacob gave a yawn, as he realized he was falling asleep again ( He wasn't trying to be rude, he was just tired). It was after all nap time, and if Lawson had a problem with sleeping in the class, he wouldn't have made these couched so gosh darn comfortable. Jacob was trying his best to stay awake, but he was just so comfy! So if the 'professor' up front had a problem with it, he should take it up with Lawson, or kick jacob off the couch onto the floor. Either one...
Jacob started to snore again as the little horrible girly dream crept back into his head... It Was So Horrible! EKK Oh My Gosh Rainbow! It burns! IT BURNS! Jacob gave another could of snores as he went almost completely into the sleep world.
His turn hadn't come after Selena and Xylon wasn't sure how long he would have to wait for it now. He rested his back straight against his couch and raised a lazy hand.
"So professor." Smirk. "If you could get yourself a car, which car would you like to own?"

It was one thing to memorize the muggle book on things she bought, but it was a completely different thing to understand it. What in the world was a engine? That was the right word for it right? Engine? A...moter?

That sort of answered her question. Fallon wasn't completely satisfied. She was about to raise her hand again when heard loud snores. It was the kid that had fallen asleep earlier. She giggled as the 'professor' dumped the kid on the floor.
Now that that was over, back to her question. She raised her hand again. "Let's say you wanted a sports car like a Mustang. How much would that cost?" She hoped he would have a good answer. That was the kind of car she wanted.
Alex raised her hand, "How do you feel being the Professor for once?" Alex asked amused, he couldn't just nod at her after all!

Gold wondered why Professor Hayes had pronounced Chevrolet twice. In fact, she was going to ask him that. But her attention was taken off this little task by one Professor Lawson, who had apparently not run out of questions that actually sounded like questions, yet.
She leaned forward to whisper to him.
"Psst. Professor Lawson. I want a car. Do you think Professor Hayes will get me a car, if I ask him for one?"
He turned around to see who pssting at him and grinned at Gold. At her question Marcus chuckled. "I dare you to ask him and if he says yes then ask him to get me one too."

Marcus was a little perplexed though because he didn't see anything sporty about those cars at all. Well some of them could be tricked up to look all flashy and stuff but sporty? Nuh uh.
He raised his hand again, "Professoooooor" he whined. "Are you fobbing off my questions? I want to know which one is faster? What if I wanted to go out and buy one of those cars. I would want the fastest one and I need to know which one is faster."

Didn't this kid sleep at night or something?
This was the second time that Marcus had spotted the boy catching some zzzzzz's.
He watched with satisfaction as Professor Hayes dealt with the sleeping boy. He couldn't have done better himself.

Okay, that answer made a little more sense to Fallon. It gave her a good idea of how to make a car cheaper. Don't get the extra stuff. Yep. That would work.
Fallon couldn't help but notice Student Lawson whispering to Gold. She really wanted to know what they were up to. She stiffled giggles as Student Lawson acted like a whiney student that she had witness him deal with all the time. He was definately getting payback.
"Psst. Lawson. I just wanted to tell you that you are the best student ever."

Alex looked at him like he was crazy, "Yes that's why I want to be a Healer and you want to be a Professor." Alex had more of a heart when someone was injured rather then when they were perfectly healthy. "Are we there yet?" Alex asked raising her hand finally.
He turned around to see who pssting at him and grinned at Gold. At her question Marcus chuckled. "I dare you to ask him and if he says yes then ask him to get me one too."
Gold grinned. Professor Lawson seemed to be having a lot of fun as a student, what with his stock of never, ever ending questions! "Dare accepted," she whispered. "I'm going to be very disruptive for once." Then she added, in a don't-say-I-didn't-tell-you-before sort of voice, "It's not often that I get a chance to be un-Prefect-y, so watch out."
With which, she cupped her hands round her mouth and said out loud, "Professor Hayes! Will you pleeeease buy me a car? PLEEAAASE, professor?"
