Professor Malfoy-Lupin was back to being a student and, once she had returned to her seat, Gold took the stage. Public-speaking, she had never been afraid of. But this was pretty new.

.... and she suddenly realized she had no idea, none at all, what she wanted to speak about. She had been too busy passing notes, snickering and acting a silly Drama Queen, to think of that.

Well.

She was going to count to three, in her head, and start talking about the first thing that came to her mind!

Gold beamed round at everyone. "Hey," she said, with a little wave. "I'm Professor Gold Laksh, and I'm here to tell you all about Ben 10: Alien Force." She made sure she did not grin. Yep. Time to look all serious and professional. "Like we have the radio and the WWN, muggles have a big box called a television, which can transmit animated images - show pictures and stories and stuff. Ben 10: Alien Force is a television serial, which aired on the telly in 2008, and ended in 2010. It has a total of forty-six - either forty-five or forty-six - episodes, that together make up a fantastic story that revolves around a kid called Ben Tennyson, a pretty girl called Gwen, a hot guy by the name of Kevin -" HOT! "- and a bunch of super-cool, super-weird, super-powerful, super-alotofthings aliens."

"The series is REALLY cool, and you should all get television sets and watch it. Ben is good-looking in this really boyish way, but I think Kevin is way cuter. He can absorb the properties of any matter that he touches. Unfortunately, he's in love with Gwen, who has the power to manipulate energy. She can create shields, flights of steps and mini-explosions, all of which are pink and pretty." She paused. "Questions? Sweets?"

Yeah, she had totally had sweets. Chocolate frogs and mints. If anyone wanted them, they could ask.

Alex rose her hand and fired off questions, "Is this a real Show? Do they get together? Is this something interesting to someone else? Does this put people to sleep? and is saying Really Cool correct grammer?" Alex asked smirking slightly. She was glad she couldn't ever remove points yay for five points though.

"Professor Laksh, why do muggles watch a tele....thingy?" he asked curiously.

Jordan felt his face fall. Ben 10 she's serious, this is what she wanted to teach? Ugh he groaned, that show was for kids and wusses, he could tell she lived the charmed life. Aint no way his superiors would allow them to watch Ben 10, and in the neighbourhood he was too busy on the streets. These kids had it made.

And the cartoon was cute. He was cute. The cartoon-not so much... Jordan rolled his eyes, "What suburb are you from?" He asked -Heavy New York accent- with his hand raised.

Putting his hand up into the air as far as it could go and felt a twinge in his side.

Great!

He'd pulled a muscle.

"Professor Laksh, how do they make animated television shows? And is the boy called Ben 10 because they shortened his surname or is it because he is ten years old?"

Marcus rubbed his side with his free hand. Maybe he should have done some warm up exercises before he started putting his hand in the air. "Oh, oh and Miss? How can a cartoon character be HOT?"

Because that was just weird.

"Oh I have a question Professor Gold!" Patroclus sad as he raised his hand, "If you could be one of Ben's super-cool, super-weird, super-powerful, super-alotofthings aliens, which one would you be?"

Patroclus at first had reservations about the class he was experiencing, but as more students got involved it became more and more crazy, which in turn meant more and more fun!!!!!!!!!!

As he saw Marcus....aka Professor Lawson just a little away from him, Patroclus lent over and whisper....."Oi Marcus..psst Lawso! Can i have a go too!" If he was going to act as a student, he needed a cool nickname, and Patroclus had just the one, "Axe, can I?"

Alex decided he had a point.. wait, raises hand again, "What is Animee?" Alex asked innocently again she was just doing her- ooh.. Alex then wrote a note that said nothing but with random numbers.



Alex grinned as she purposely gave Zane the note where the Professor/Prefect would see it, feel her pain! Alex thought evily.

Zane smiled as he grabbed the note but couldn't make sense of it.

Alex wrote back smirking,



Payback was sometimes sweet, Alex thought, only these notes though she only wanted to do what they did to her.

Zane chuckled and wrote back

Abbi giggled as Gold explained on Ben 10, she really never watched that show and she was a muggleborn. Well she loved Nickelodeon. And that was a channel. Hmmm.

She listened on as people asked unconsciously biting her nails to focus.

Alex gave Zane a disappointed look, how rude of him to say, Gold wasn't that boring.. was she? Hmm this required more study Alex decided firmly pulling out another piece of parchment to write Gold's answer's down.

Hehehe. Gold was enjoying this, already. "I believe reality can be true or perceived, Miss Malfoy-Lupin," she said, with half a smile. "Do you know about simulated reality?" She looked round at the class. "Does anyone know about simulated reality, here?" Turning back to Alex, she went on, "Which said, the show is definitely real in the sense that it was produced, worked upon and telecast. However, the story it tells is not."

"Do 'they' get together? Now that's a vague question, Miss Malfoy-Lupin. I can tell you that Kevin and Gwen do - and why, yes, that is definitely interesting to some people. In fact, the people who found the show interesting, were known to miss sleep, to catch up on the serial. I've yet to meet anyone who an episode of Ben 10: Alien Force could put to sleep, but I think it's very possible that someone with a total lack of interest in super-cool aliens and super-cool stuff, could be put to sleep by it."

"... and I'm your Muggle Studies professor, not your English teacher, miss." She resisted the urge to stick her tongue out at the Slytherin. "But I believe 'really cool' is correct grammar. I consider it a colloquialism."

"Take ten cool points for thinking out-of-the-box," Gold said, cheerfully. "They watch it for the purpose of entertainment and information, young sir. Our equivalent of it would be the WWN. Can you tell me why wizards and witches listen to the WWN, Mr. Hayes?"

Gold raised an eyebrow. "Two cool points from you for asking a professor a personal question, Mr. Dawson," she said. "I'm from France, but I do believe that is none of your business."

Gold grinned at Professor Lawson. "There a number of ways to create an animated serial. Traditional, Stop Motion, 2D, 3D. You decide which you want me to explain, and I will."

"They shortened his surname." Like Marcus Law, instead of Marcus Lawson! Hehehe. "Take ten cool points for awesome curiosity."

"The same way a fictional character can be hot, Mr. Lawson." She resisted the urge to stick her tongue out at him. "Personality, actions, nature, wit, voice, intelligence, dressing, sarcasm, dialogue, one-liners, comebacks - all obviously perceived as his."

"It's Professor Laksh, Mr. Hudson," Gold corrected, cheerfully. "You take ten cool points for that creative question, alright?" She gave him a little grin. "... and I would be each alien, one-by-one, if I could be. But I think I would like to be Big Chill. Free passage through solids, the ability to cause temperature drops, invisibility, and that cool, scary voice. But that answer can change with my mood, so ask it again a while later, and we'll see where we stand with it, then!"

"No talking, Mr. Hudson!"

"It's short for animation, Miss Malfoy-Lupin," Gold said, with a little nod of her red head. "That's what Japanese animation is usually called." She saw Alex and Zane exchange notes, and grinned.

"Miss Malfoy-Lupin," she called out. "I'm sure you would love to come up here, and read what Mr. Hayes's note says, to all of us."

Cue pointed look.

Alex had a reply for everything.. even if she didn't understand it, "So because you teach us purebloods about Muggles you think your above Grammer?" Alex asked before walking up with Zane's note and read, "I think Summer is a lovely time of year, and this class is just like leaves falling off of trees and the sunset.. setting off in the distance, like the cool winter breeze and cool sea waving at the beach." Alex cheerfully finished reading and going back to her seat amused. She admitted this was fun no wonder Selena got in trouble a few times. wait a "I'M A GIRL!" Alex shouted angrily before sitting down and crossing her arms.

"No, miss, I think that the question you asked me was one that ought to have been asked an English teacher, and not me," Gold replied cheerfully. "But, as I said before, I consider 'really cool' a colloquialism."

She raised an eyebrow, at what Alex had read out loud. It was hard to believe, that that was what Zane had read. Gold did not expect anything of that kind from that Slytherin. She cast a non-verbal summoning charm, opened the note and read it. Sooo. She was boring.

"Mr. Hayes," she said, looking up from the note. "I want you to write me five sentences on why it is important to respect a professor, and not pass notes in class." MWAHA. Gold resisted the urge to snicker.

Jordan raised his brow cool points? What was that? It did kinda make sense of course but only two? And French, very cute. He rolled his eyes at her point system however "Do you watch a lot of cartoons?" He asked with his hand raised again "And why did you choose to teach the magical folk," he eyed the rest of the class "About a 'hot'," -Gesture here-"Cartoon."

Alex shrugged grinning, she should of switched it with a fake, Alex knew but making that up was just to fun. "Professor.. uh.. Latkes.. Laykes..Lakes yeah Professor Lakes for the record I don't think your boring." Alex stated after raising her hand cheerfully.

Gold blinked. With twelve OWL's under her belt, she couldn't say she watched a lot of cartoons. Only in the summers, when she had heaps of free time. "No," she answered truthfully.

Hot cartoon. HEHEHE.

"This is a Muggle Studies class, Mr. Dawson," Gold said, cheerfully. "I was introducing the television - an extremely important invention in muggle history - and the ways in which muggle entertainment differs from that of wizards and witches. The focus is not on a 'hot' cartoon character, but on the television serial. But good question. Take ten cool points."

Gold grinned. "It's Professor Laksh," she corrected. "... and every person is entitled to an opinion, Miss Malfoy-Lupin." But the reason Gold was not offended was, to be honest, her vanity. She knew she was awesome. Pretty, intelligent, all that stuff. Sure, she was artistically challenged, and couldn't even hold a paintbrush without causing the world's most pathetic mess, but hey! She could duel, and fence really, really well.

So yes. Gold was soooo sure she was awesome.

This was awesome.

Xylon had sat back and watched. But now he straightened up, back against that of a comfy couch, and raised a lazy hand.

"What's a colloquialism, Professor?"

Smirrkk.

Alex stared, "You sure? sounds more like a dish I would eat." Alex stated inwardly laughing at the poor girl's name. She rose her hand again, "How much could a woodchuck, chuck would if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" Alex asked cheerfully she did this on Zane and he had no idea what it meant.

Gold had seen this coming.

She really, really had. In fact, she had been surprised that Xylon had not asked anything, yet. But that hadn't made her think he wasn't going to. On the contrary, it made her even more certain that he was thinking up a question that would completely befuddle or REALLY annoy her.

But this question, it wasn't so bad.

"Something to ask your English tutor, Mr. Saar," she said, sweetly. "But, since you want to know, it is a linguistic phrase - often a regional one - that characterizes informal conversation. Certainly not something you would come across in a Minsiter's speech."

She paused, then added, "Two cool points from you, for a completely irrelevant question."

Gold grinned. "It's an Indian name," she said. Definitely not as complicated as Malfoy-Lupin. "... and a woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood. Ten cool points to you for an awesome question. Five cool points from you, for the said question's complete irrelevancy to what we are studying."

She turned to the class. "Back to the topic, guys. It's Ben 10: Alien Force, the television serial that has aliens such as Goop, who can shape-shift and re-generate and is controlled by an artificial-gravity generator; and Swampfire, who looks like a plant, and has a head that's on fire! I'm sure you all have questions you want to ask."

What? Two points?

"But professor that's very unfair!" Xylon protested, his hazel eyes looking oh so innocent. Yeah he was the victim of one mean Professor Laksh! "I thought you were here to teach us!"

Then he raised an eyebrow. "The alien is a plant and his head is on fire? How does he even exist?"

Alex rolled her eyes, "So.. What was this shows name again? And could you tell us about it in little words so Zane can understand." Alex asked smirking at Zane ha she got him back for the memory charm thing.

Gold resisted the urge to roll her eyes. You're supposed to be a professor, she reminded herself. Even if it was only a temporary arrangement. Professor don't roll their eyes.

Well, at least not in front of everyone.

Right?

"He's not a plant, Mr. Saar," she said, patiently. "He looks like a plant. His head is fire-patterned and yes, it may look like it has caught fire. He exists because it is part of him and his powers, that the fire cannot hurt him. Does that help?"

It had better!

OHHH.

How was Xylon supposed to know? But at least Gold looked all impatiently patient. The thought made him smirk. He raised his hand again, still in that lazy way that suggested he was bored. But he wasn't. He so wasn't.

"So this Goop. What does he do?"
