Amy knocked on her head of houses hut door, in a nervous but excitable mood

Trixie looked at him confused. What did he mean if you ever wanted to help? "I'm sorry sir I don't understand" she replied politely. Manners were an important thing in Hogwarts no doubt. They were more important in Beauxbatons which is why she was applying them now. Besides Trixie was a polite person anyway. Sometimes. "I'm more than willing to help at any time. I don't need to be told" she said smiling sweetly.

Katie nodded. It wasn't really fair to judge the entire house of Hufflepuff based on the badgers that had been at the meeting, which definitely wasn't all of them, was it? "Okay. I won't." She would try not to. It would probably be easier to do then reminding herself Legend's brain wasn't fully developed when he did things to upset her. An exemplary Hufflepuff? She didn't think so, but maybe there was hope for that in the future. "Thank you, Mr. Masterson; for talking to me and stuff. It helped," the young girl said with a small smile, collecting Nova into her arms as she stood and stepped toward the door. "I should probably go send a letter home. I haven't done that in a while."

Taking several more little steps toward the door, Katie turned back to face Mr. Masterson and added, "You know, I was kinda worried what it would be like without Professor Shackleton as our Head of House, because she has been since I started school here and she's really awesome, But you're pretty cool too, Mr. Masterson. I'm glad they picked you to take over." Then, gesturing the hand not wrapped around the rabbit in her arm toward the pile of children's toys, she said, "And I hope the little one's doing well, too."

"Thank you...that really does mean a lot; and yes, Jadyn is doing excellent." He nodded and sat back down on the sofa. "Have a good day, okay?"

He chuckled and leaned against the door frame, arms crossed. "You'll find that I never like to ask for help. If you really want to help you'll come find me and ask if you can help." It was weird, but it was how he operated.

Trixie still didn't understand fully what he was implying and so answered with a pinch of salt. "Well I am offering to help out now sir. Can I help you with anything?" she asked hoping that was what he was trying to tell her.

He thought for a second. Ah!

"There's a magically refilling water canister in my shed. Would you be so kind as to get it and water the flower garden?"

Trixie listened, raised an eyebrow and nodded. "Of course sir. If that's what you want done then I am more than willing to forfill it" she said with a sweet smile. "Well it was very nice to meet you sir. I shall see you around soon probably" she grinned.

Amy watched the other girl leave and decided to try again before he shut the door, um sir?, she repeated hoping he would hear her

Beaming, Katie nodded. She almost asked him to tell Jadyn hello for her, but decided better of it. If she were little - no, scratch that, even now she would find it strange if someone she didn't even know was having someone relay a friendly greeting. "I'll try." That was becoming her favorite word, wasn't it? "You too, Mr. Masterson." And with that, Katie let herself out and headed back across the grounds.

So Ced would like to do the 'Bonus Opportunity' thingy for additional points and for well, having the opportunity to get a nose of one of the staff's core numbers. And so, here he was, standing confidently in front of the groundskeeper's hut. He heard that Mr. Masterson was a great man and was definitely someone that wouldn't give you a detention just for asking to help with your homework.

Cadence practically marched down the grounds toward Mr. Masterson's hut. She had many things she needed to discuss with him, and she was tired of waiting for a more opportune time. One of these things was extremely time-sensitive as she needed to tell him before innocent people were blamed and punished for things they shouldn't be punished for. Normally, she would have just gone to Headmaster Tate, but maybe the news would be taken more seriously if it came from her Head of House. As she approached, a fire burned behind her hazel eyes, and she knocked loudly on the door, pacing back and forth outside, waiting for an answer.

Constantine has seen her coming from the corner of his eyes. The way she was walking...it kinda wanna made him hide in his hut and leave Roma outside. But then it started to sound really silly in his head, so he stayed outside.

"Uhhh...you look mad," he decided, pointing out the obvious.

Cadence looked at her Head of House completely dumbfounded. She was not expecting that to be the first thing out of his mouth. "Well... yes, but I'll get to that in a second, Mr. Masterson," she said before taking a deep breath. And here came the word vomit! "First of all, I want to say I'm sorry for getting an attitude with you when Torin was hurt the other day. It was uncalled for, and I know you wouldn't have asked me to do it if you didn't think I could do it, so I'm really, REALLY sorry," she said, looking up into his eyes sincerely.

And now the mad part. "Right, so, secondly," she paused for a moment, giving him a look that told him to brace himself. "In our first potions class, Professor Lafay set three students on fire! Okay, so I guess it wasn't really fire. It didn't hurt them, just burned them. But it terrified them because she didn't warn them what was going to happen. And then Cela and Raiden came back in, because Professor Lafay had told Cela to leave class because she was allergic to the pollen, and the three students were just on FIRE so naturally, everyone freaked out because no one knew what was happening. And THEN Professor Lafay gave Cela and Raiden and Miles all detention. Oh! And one of the students she set on fire was Arya, you know, the Hufflepuff... she was one of the... yeah... THOSE students last year," she finally finished and just looked up at him, waiting for him to go save the day as he always did! Oh, right.. end of the story. "I mean, they're all fine now. We had to test our burn unctions on them, and mine worked and so did the other two who volunteered. So, they're not hurt or anything, but it was just really scary, and I don't think she's allowed to do something like that without warning. Is she, Mr. Masterson?" she asked, very innocently.

Constantine raised an eyebrow as the student went on explaining why in the world she looked angry. Frankly, he was impressed that she seemed to be saying it all without even breathing. OH, right. She had an issue.

He waited patiently until she was done and when she was, he had ONE, important questions in mind. SO IMPORTANT.

"...We have a professor named Lafay?"

Cadence stared at him. Well, actually, it was more like she gaped at him.

Why wasn't he rushing off to right this injustice? More concerned about the professor's name!

Nevertheless, she remained calm. "...Yes. The new Potions Mistress." she said simply.

Cedric took a seat as Mr. Materson let him in. He was about to greet him and such but this Hufflepuff girl seemingly had an issue.. so he just gave her the chance to say all the things she had to say to their HoH.

He couldn't help himself but listened. Well, the girl talked so loud so it was quite irresistible not to listen on her remarks. And he had to second what the girl had just said. That was so, so true. He witnessed the happening and he found it immensely horrible. That Lafay professor was a bestial disastrous monster embodied on a very gorgeous woman's body! And perhaps, he could try to avoid her but inevitably, nature would take its course, yep. He had to study Potions... and he had to err, talk with the evil woman.

Perhaps it was a bad-timing for him. How could Mr. Masterson help him with his own 'problem' if as it seemed, there were more important issues to talk about. He nodded slightly in no particular person as the girl continued with her angry remarks 'bout the Potions Mistress. "That woman is eviiiil," he muttered under his breath, not loudly enough to be heard by anyone.

"Right, it's... no problem, Mr. Masterson. I just... thought you might want to know..." uhh yeah. Or something like that, but Cadence still had something to discuss with him so she tried to decide if she should just wait here or come back later or... what. Though, after that, she wasn't sure she necessarily wanted his advice on the future. The man didn't exactly seem to have it all together at the moment, so maybe she would wait until he was less... preoccupied to talk to him. Yeah... that was what she would do. After he walked away, Cadence set off for the castle as well, though she was quite a distance behind him after her small internal debate. She did not want to be anywhere near Professor Lafay's office when she found out students had been tattling on her informing the staff of what she had done.

Amy thought, um I like weeding and planting and, well everything I guess Amy said, happily

Ugh. His problem wasn't much like as a horrible problem and all. It was just something he really needed to do for his homework. "Err, sir. Can you help me with my homework?" He asked awkwardly as he held the quill and the parchment he brought with him much tightly. Well, doing his homework with a staff wasn't really his own choice. "It's er, for Arithmancy. Professor Hadley assigned us to calculate one of the staff's core numbers. So would it be okay if I calculate yours?" He'd better say yes, he was doing the 'bonus opportunity' thing for their house in the first place.
