Patroclus had already beat Professor Reynolds to the punch, he had been cloud watching throughout his talk, but being the good boy he was, he had been listening with one ear.

Rolling his head to the side, Patroclus watched as Evelyn's long brown hair draped its way onto the blanket, followed shorty by her head, "It will be fun, just you wait!"The boy smiled, as he slowly drew his eyes once more to the sky. The clouds were spectacularly massive, great cities of white in the sky, and losing himself in their fold, Patroclus began to discern shapes.

"Now that one," he raised his arm and pointed above them "looks like a palm tree!" wondering for a moment, whether Evelyn would see the tree too.

Hmm fun. Perhaps he was right. He did say something about that when they were cooking, so, she'll just have to trust him.

Taking deep and even breaths to calm herself down, and resist the urge to glance over at Destiny to see if she had a partner or not, Evelyn was suddenly surprised when Patroclus had spoken again. Looking curiously at where he was pointing, she raised her own arm next to his to point to it as well, just so she had a clearer view of where she was looking at. Oh, there? "Oh, you are mistaken. It's totally a mushroom." Mhmm.

It's a...giant mushroom...

Patroclus could not helo but laugh, here was the obvious reason they had been placed in partnerships, so they could argue over the true shap of clouds!

"I still think it looks like a palm tree, see there is splits in the top section, if it was a mushroom it would be a closed top," Patroclus grinned at the Slytherin beside him, but not wanting to start off on the wrong foot he continued, "But if you think it is a mushroom, I will take your word for it!"

He then softly, REPEAT very softly bumped the girl with his shoulder, just because.

Nolan smiled. "It isn't required, but I encourage everyone to at least look at what the symbol means as they're taking notes...just so you're at least aware of what the clouds may be trying to tell you. However, you don't need to provide it for me on the parchment you hand me after class. Just list the symbols and write what your partner saw as well," he told the Head Girl. It was too nice to do REAL work!

"Be sure you watch your parchment! Don't let it blow away or you may have to answer to Mister Masterson for litering his grounds," he joked. Well, sort of joked. Who knew how picky the guy was?

Yes, she still needed to find a partner and quick. Mina looked back to Professor Reynolds and smiled. She really didn't want to just jump in with another group, so a partner of her own was needed. Looking around again she noticed the older Ravenclaw had volunteered and she was about to head over when she noticed someone.

DESTINY!

Yes, she would ask her to be her partner. They were both awesome third years and she ran over. "Destiny! We need to partner up!" she nodded. Yes, they so needed to work together.

Rae heard her name... Uh oh, trouble? She stopped smiling and turned to him..... Wait... That was it? Rae though she would going to have to listen to some lecture or lose points or something. "Yes... Sorry sir."

Rae turned to Xylon, and smiled widely just because he was in front of her. "Care to be my cloud-watching partner?" But she didn't really wait for an answer before she laid on the blanket to look at the sky. Rae still couldn't help but smile to herself.

Rae started to look at the clouds.. What was there? An axe? Yeah, she was sure of that one. Rae wasn't about to go looking up symbols right now though. Instead she took hold of Xylon's hand. Then continued to gaze into the sky. A fountain right? Whatever that means... Then she saw... Hmm? Rae pointed up and spoke to Xylon "Does that look like a lion to you?" A lion? Like a Griffyndor! Like the very handsome one next to her.

He was laughing? He was laughing at her mushroom!

Well it was funny looking she supposed.

Pffft, it sooooooo was a mushroom, regardless of splits. It just been through a lot more then all the other mushrooms. Poof probably got to it. Smiling however, she continued to stare up at the clouds, actually not really paying attention to their shapes, and even if she was, her concentration would have been lost since...Patroclus bumped her.

Sure, it was a very soft bump, and for a moment, she thought he was just adjusting himself on the blanket and accidentally got her shoulder, but for some reason, she thought that didn't seem likely. And, for just a moment, she ignored those personal space alarms going off. Bumping him softly back, she snickered before looking back up to the sky

Alrighty then. Cloud shapes. OH! Here was one! "That one..." she started as she pointed her finger to a cloud in the opposite direction. "Kinda looks like a flower." Though, which flower...she was not sure. Definitely not a sunflower, that was for sure.

Destiny was sulking.

Not only was she best friendless, she was partnerless as well.

Woe is her.

She glaaaaaared at Evelyn as she went to work with Patroclus. She had asked her to come and sit with her, and then she ups and leaves, without saying anything? Fine..Destiny didn't need her.

But she did need a partner.

Tearing her eyes away from Evelyn, Destiny glanced around, looking for a poor, partnerless person. Not finding one, she decided to just continue on sulking.

Surely SOMEONE would feel bad for her, right?

RIGHT!

Mina!

Seeing the Ravvie run over to her, a smile formed on her lips. In yo' face Evelyn, I might partner with a Ravvie. "Hey Mina!" she gave a little wave, "Are you sure you don't want to partner up with that other person?" she asked, juuuuust in case this was out of PITY.

Destiny didn't mind if it was, however. She would just go and sulk some more.

Mina smiled and waved as she stopped just in front of the Slytherin. "Nope, I want to partner up with you," she nodded. She could partner up with a 'claw any other time, but since the tread was mixed houses, they were so going to do that.

"Nope, you are stuck with me now." The two of them were so going to rock this. Clouds weren't all that hard to read, right?

"I don't see it." he said, shaking his head. He looked up to the clouds but nothing really struck him as a shape. He jotted down Alex's last symbol and continued to stare.

Alex beamed, "Alright, time to translate and come up with a thing that says what it says?" Alex asked amused, she had a small idea what hers said.

"Go ahead, work on mine while you're at it." he said, pushing his notes over to her and looking back at the clouds.

Oh good!

Mina would rather work with her than that other girl. It wasn't like Destiny could blame the girl, they did work AWESOME together. But..that was while they were building a raft and sailing the lake. "I think this will be much easier than building a raft!" Probably not as much fun, but definitely easier.

Standing up, Destiny spread the blanket out, so there was room for the both of them to lay. Laying down, looked up at the sky, squinting her eyes to better see the clouds. "All I see is a cloud..a big, fluffy, boring cloud."

Pffft, Divination.

Marie looked at the cloud she thought Carter was looking at. She didn't see any elephants. She didn't think any of the clouds looked like elephants. However she did see something that looked like... an axe? That was odd, why would she see an axe in the clouds?

"Well I don't see any elephants but I do see an axe." How he got an elephant out of that she would never know.

Alex rolled her eyes taking the notes and translated first, because he had very messy handwritting.. espessically compared to her sort of fancy and very neat handwritting.



Alex had to look in the book several times to get translations but she was pretty sure she got it, "What do you think?" Alex asked giving the notes back to Zane smiling, she thought she did decently on it.

Mina laughed and nodded. "Yeah, but the raft was fun. We got to play in the water and purple hair almost got eaten by a shark," she laughed. Of course, there was no shark in the lake. But it was still funny to think there was and the little 'claw could have been eaten. Well, he did deserve it for letting loose that log on her fellow crew mates. "Yup, this will be easier. We got it in the bag, for sure."

With a nod, she plopped down beside her partner and squinted up toward the sky. "I see.....fluffiness. Lots of big fluffiness." Well, that's what clouds were after all. Big globs of fluffy stuff.

"Wait, is that a goat?" It was so a goat in the clouds and it looked like a mean goat!

Zane looked over the notes and smiled. "Sounds good to be Lex, now can we just watch clouds for fun?"

Alex rolled her eyes, "I suppose if you want." Alex repiled lying back down to stare at the clouds.

"An axe, really?" Carter asked turning his head in various directions. "That's... err... much more violent sounding than an elephant..." he said.

Wizard kids must not play the lets look for pleasant animal shapes in the clouds game.

"Let's try a different one." he said watching as a cloud slowly floated their way. "I think it looks like Frankie." he said.

Feeling a bump back, Patroclus was blown away, it had been a daring move on his part, but it seemed his courage was worth it when she returned the nudge!
Pleased with himself, he decided to let the mushroom vs. Palm slide, and looked followed the girls finger to where she pointed, and this time they were in agrence, he saw a flower too.
"I see it! It looks kinda like an open rose! Like we are seeing it for the top," Patroclus replied as he studied it. But then his eyes widened and he whispered to Evelyn, "Thats crazy, you found it, and your middle name is Rose!" Patroclus looked at the girl expecting her to be covered in beads and shawls, the dress of a divinations professor!

Please dont tell me I am going to die! he laughed silently to himself.

That raft WAS fun! Even more fun when you are the Captain and you didn't have to do any of the manual labour. What would have made that day even better, besides having the Purple Headed Freak not there, would have been a Captain hat! At least she had something..her duckie floatie. "I still have no idea how the Purple Headed Freak levitated that HUGE log all by himself." she said, shaking her head. He must have some special Ravenclaw powers. "In the bag, for sure."

Good.

Destiny wasn't the only one that saw white fluffy clouds.

And Professor Reynolds was officially crazy. How could he expect them all to be laying down and not fall asleep? Just about to close her eyes, Mina spoke about a goat! Tilting her head, she spotted the cloud her partner was talking about, "Sweet Merlin! That IS a goat!" Making a mental note of that cloud, she continued to scan the skies. There was no way she'd fall asleep now, after seeing a goat in the sky!

"Look! That one looks like a pillow! A big, fluffy pillow!"

Or, you know, it could just be a cloud.

Smiling at his agreement that it was a flower, she tilted her head at an angle slightly to see if she could see what he was saying. He was right! "That is a rose..." she mumbled, before raising a brow at his sudden outburst.

Rose...and her middle name...

"Must be a coincidence." she laughed, straightening out her head so her neck didn't get a cramp, and taking a mental note of the clouds she'd seen so far. She forgot her bag from where she previously sat. Turning to look at Patroclus, she was surprised to see him staring back.

Patroclus burst out into fits of uncontrollable laughter, cluching his stomach, he rocked as he shuddered laughing. The girls expression was priceless!

As he sighed, and wiped a tear from his eye Patroclus explained to Evelyn, "I was expecting to find myself living next to a divinations professor, but the look on your face was soooo much better! Oh Merlin!" The boy continued too giggle sparatically as he returned his attention to the sky,

"Oh wow! Look at that one," the boy cried and pointed to the sky, "That huge one there looks like a man with a beard, see the shadows of the clouds look like his eyes, and where the sun hits him is the beard!"

To Evelyn it may be a bit of stretch, but to Patroclus its was as clear as day.

Okay, she wasn't going crazy! Destiny saw it too. It was a goat and it was a bit menacing looking.

Wonder if it's hungry?

Did cloud goats eat cloud grass or something? She never thought about it, but seriously, it was a good question to ask. They had to be hungry and then needed to eat, right? Or because they were clouds, they didn't eat? It was a curious subject. Yes, she would have to find out.

Pulling her journal out, she jotted down what they saw. Goat!

Looking back up, she tilted her head and squinted a bit more and pointed. "HUGE PILLOWS! Comfy fluffy pillows." The all looked so fluffy and soft. But what use were they up there when they needed pillows down her. Stupid pillow clouds up in the sky and not down on the ground where they were needed.

Turning her head slightly, she blinked and turned her head again. "TURTLE! It's a turtle!" she yelped as she pointed up at a blob of fluff. It was so a huge turtle in the sky and his head was bobbing.

Wonder if it's one of those turtles that breathed through its bottom?

Noir looked up the sky "Oh yeah..I see it too.." she said to Lysandra.Noir continued observing the clouds "Oh..That one it's look like a flower..What do you think??" she said as she pointed her finger to a cloud near the frog clouds..She pulled out her parchment and began to write down a note..
