Divination III by the Lake :: Nephomancy Nolan probably looked a bit odd levitating a small chalkboard down to the grounds, but it was such a lovely day that he couldn't resist holding a lesson outside. In fact he'd been planning it for nearly a month now, since the idea first popped into his head, and a few tarot readings later, he found that today would totally be the PERFECT day to hold his outdoor lesson. The sky was nice and blue, but it was also partly cloudly, with plenty of big, fluffy white clouds floating about overhead. Fantastic. Just what he needed. He finally got to a nice, squishy area and set his chalkboard down on the grass, but not before laying down a blanket to set it on. He wasn't sure how this groundskeeper guy was about keeping the grass totally perfect--so he wasn't taking any chances. He waved his wand a few times to conjure up a few duplicates of the blanket while he waited for students to arrive. OOC Helpful Links: What is Aeromancy? Alex walked to the grounds and looked around spotting the Professor and a few blankets lying around. "Hello Professor." Alex greeted walking closer but not sitting down. She looked around again, "How are you today?" Alex asked smiling at the Professor, she may not like Divination but he was a good Professor. |
Skipity Skipty Skip. Shana skipped down to the grounds and smiled as she approched to find Professor Reynolds standing infront of a few blankets and a chalkboard set down on a blanket. It was a nice day today, the sun was like Shiiiiineeeeeeey. Like on the shiny show. Man, she usually didn't like muggle programmes but she did like collecting shiny stuff to play along with the shiny show. She waved to Professor Reynols before saying, "Hello Professor Reynolds. How're you ? And um. Are these blankets for us to sit on ?" |
With her head down and being rather silent, Evelyn made her way down to the grounds where she heard the next Divination class would be. She was hoping to get here before Destiny so she didn't have to have that whole, awkward walk while walking down here, and it seems she left early enough to do just that. Thank Merlin. Lifting her head slightly when she passed the professor, the smile barely made it's way onto her lips before she spoke. "Good day, Professor Reynolds." she muttered before taking a seat farthest to the side from everyone else. She haaaaad to apologize to Destiny. It was driving her insane!! |
*even though I have work later tonight* Grayson thought it was odd, having Divination class outside. It was certainly not one of her better subjects, which could explain her ideas that it was an inside subject, but she decided to go to class anyway. Draco hidden in her school bag since he was being clingy again, she figured the weregoat had bothered him more than she'd originally thought. But at least she thought the ferret would be safe in Divination class. She still wasn't about to take him to Potions. Walking out to the grounds, she scuffed her Converse in the grass idly before she arrived at where Professor Reynolds was. Along with several students. "Hi Professor Reynolds," she said, smiling a little at the professor as she stuck her hand in her school bag to pet Draco a little. She wondered if they were supposed to sit on the blankets, but as she'd arrived she'd heard Shana ask about that. So she decided to just wait. |
Mina quietly made her way down toward the lake. It was a pretty day and she was actually starting to like being out by the lake. It was starting to be a common thing having lessons out there, she kind of liked that. Seeing a small gathering of classmates, she knew she was in the right place and continued on. Seeing Professor Reynold, she smiled and gave a polite nod. "Hello Professor, beautiful day don't you think?" she greeted as she passed by and looked for a nice spot to seat. |
Making her way to the Lake, Destiny miiiight have seen Evelyn walking a little bit ahead of her. Every time her friend would look behind her, Destiny would run and hide behind a tree. There was NO way she wanted to talk to Evelyn right now. Nope, nope, nope. Reaching the place where class was, she stood in front of the Professor, a smirk on her face, "Hullo Professor! I see you fixed your glasses?" Pffft. She needed Evelyn to laugh with herrrrrr! |

"As I said earlier, these blankets up here are for you to sit on...we'll be sitting AND laying on the grass today so you may want to grab a blanket to prevent yourself from getting all dirty," he said. If he were them, he'd want as little possible contact with the dirt and grass as possible. BLEGH. Nature. He liked to look at it and admire it, but interacting with it was not his cup of tea. |
Amy walked out of the school and onto the grounds, spotting the group of people minigiling and favourite professor over there she followed their lead and walked over to the lake, hello professor she said, sitting down on a blanket |

Perhaps, she should just apologize after Divination class? The class usually made herself tired and perhaps it made Destiny tired too, so they'll both be too tired to argue or fight, and will just end up agreeing with one another. Or... "Hey, Destiny." she said quietly, waving slightly for some reason before patting the ground next to her. Sit here? Please? She would've completely understood if Destiny sat with, well, whoever else was here. Lufoy maybe? Quote:
Glancing around, Evelyn tried to figure out what they would be doing today. Sooo, outside, and they'll be laying down? Only two things came to mind, one more likely then the other... She'll just have to wait and see. Or wait to give her guess. Either one. |
Zane walked up to the lesson just in time to hear the professor say that we'll be laying on the grass. SLEEP!!! YES!!! He grabbed his own blanket and threw it down beside Alex. "Morning Professor, you picked a great day to have an outdoor lesson." |

Destiny was glad that the Professor wasn't all angry at her for breaking his glasses. Really, it had been an accident! Perhaps he knew that since he WAS really a Divination Professor! She smiled, because she was not sure why he thanked her..unless it was because he needed new ones, and by her breaking them allowed him to get them! Yeah, that's why. Turning from him, she headed towards a blanket when.. Quote:
Destiny was in somewhat of a predicament. She didn't want to sit with Evelyn but she didn't want to sit alone either. Smiling slightly, she made up her mind and headed towards Evelyn. They could sit next to eachother without talking.. ..right? For some reason, she doubted that. |
Divination lesson by the lake? Win. Skipping to the grounds, pig tail bouncing with every step she took, the girl let her eyes glide over the beautiful lake. Man if she wasn't out here to learn, then she soooo would be swiming right now. Not that she was gonna let a class keep her from swimming, nope. She had her swimming gear on her for when the lesson ended. Because being this close to the lake and not swiming in it would be a crime. Spotting a small group gathered around laying on blankets, she headed over and was about to sit on a blanket when she spoted a nice little tree near by. Arya skipped under it, examining the tree before turning to give the professor a big smile. "Hello, Professor Reynolds! It such a nice day today, don't ya think?" She turned her attention back to the tree. "Can I sit in the tree? I won't go to high up..." Without waiting for an answer from the good professor, she began to climb into the tree with her school bag. If he wanted her on the ground the she would reluctantly oblige him, but how could she resist a lesson in a tree? |
Fallon smiled as she walked to the outdoor Divination lesson. This class was starting to become somewhat enjoyable and she couldn't resist having a lesson outside. She had worn very sensible shoes today. She didn't want any of her heels getting stuck in the mud. As she walked across the grass, she listened to the squish sound it made beneath her feet. It was kind of entertaining. Finally, she reached where the group was going to be gathered. She saw Professor Reynolds and a pile of blankets that were for them to use. "Hello Professor Reynolds. And how are you on this lovely day?" She was a little hyper, but that was only because she loved being outdoors. Fallon then proceeded to grab a blanket and grab a spot near the chalkboard. She laid it out on the ground. She set her bag down next to her and sat down, crossing her legs. She pulled out a notebook and a purple quill, that even wrote in purple ink. She set them both on top of her lap and waited for the lesson to begin. |
Marie made her way towards the lake for another outside class. She was happy they wouldn't be stuck in a stuffy classroom on such a nice day. Finally reachng the area where the class was she was disappointed to see that Carter wasn't there. It had been a couple of days since their argument and she still hadn't seen him around school. Was he really trying to avoid her now? "Hello Professor," she said as she looked for a place to sit. Seeing Destiny and Evelyn she thought about sitting with them but changed her mind. She didn't feel like talking to anyone right now, besides, her friends didn't look like they were in the best of moods either. Grabbing a blanket from the pile she found a place to sit far away from everyone but where she was still part of the group. Yep, no one could talk to her here unless they yelled at her... or came to sit by her. Which they better not unless their name was Carter Phillips. |
last post in here til after work. Grayson had sent Professor Reynolds another smile as he returned her greeting, while he spoke to everyone else too. She didn't see any reason to say anything, since the only question she had was what they were learning today and she knew that would be answered eventually. She kind of wished there were more Ravenclaws there already, though. Not that she didn't mind talking to the other houses, but she wanted points for Ravenclaw. Even though she had a feeling people wouldn't believe her if she'd said so. It didn't bother her, since she had yet to lose points for anything, even though she had plans. Continuing to pet her ferret inside her bag, she glanced at the professor again as he said they could sit on the blankets. "D'you have something against a little dirt, professor?," she asked curiously, before dropping onto a corner of one of the unoccupied blankets with her legs crossed. Placing her bag in her lap for the time being, she kept watching the professor. Dirt wasn't bad, not as far as she was concerned. And Mr. Masterson probably kept the grass well taken care of, so they probably wouldn't get too dirty anyway. |
Carter walked toward where everyone was gathered. "Hello Professor." he said with a smile. Yup, any Professor that caught him battling and let him get away with it was his favorite Professor. He scanned around for somewhere to sit. Spotting Marie by herself he approached her. "Hey. This spot taken?" he asked. They hadn't really spoken to each other in a few days and he wasn't sure if she was still mad. |
Trixie kinda, well.... She skipped into Divination. And she had no idea why but she hoped the extremely cheerful mood would spread out across everyone. Because she didn't want someone to dampen her parade. "Good Morning Professor" the Slytherin chimed with a grin. "How have you been?" she asked politely. Hehe. She really hoped this mood would last. But they were out in the fresh air. So it would last yes? Ah well. La Dee da! Right. Oh great. Where were all her friends? Seriously, was she the only one to ever attend lessons or something? |
Quote:
Not taking her eyes off of him she was surprised yet relieved when he stopped in front of her. "Nope, not taken. You want to sit here?" Please say yes, she thought. Sure, he may have asked if the spot was taken but she wasn't going to assume he wanted to sit with her. |
Chris Potter walked down the slopes of the Hogwarts grounds, excited to see what they would be doing in a Divination lesson on the grounds. For the Head Boy any lesson that was being hosted on the grounds had major cool potential. But that was easily said for the gryffindor, since all lessons were cool and fun for him. But he walked over and joined the rest of the students and waved at Professor Reynolds. "Good morning Professor, got anything fun for us to do today?" he asked with a grin as he heeded the Professor's advice about the blankets. |
Lysandra walked out of the castle and down to the school grounds. The divination class was being held outside today and Lysandra couldn't wait. Today was such a beautiful day. When she reached a part of the grounds where there were already a coulple of students. Good day Professor. Beautiful day today, isn't it? She said with a smile on her face while looking at the blankets that had been set out. She grabbed one and started towards a spot to set it out. |
Darting across the grounds was a skinny young man of about fourteen and his dark hair was straggling about his face as he ran. Being the slacker that he was, Ling hadn't been to class the previous day because he simply didn't feel up to it. He wasn't an entirely stupid boy and when he buckled down, he was smarter than he let on. However, Divination wasn't exactly his cup of tea either and it wasn't too evident that he would work hard during this class. Still, he had already skipped the day before and it wouldn't have been wise to go about doing it again. He wasn't in the mood to absorb any lessons but he didn't feel like it was worth getting in detention either. So Ling had gathered the strength to hurry to class, though hardly possessing any motivation. It didn't appear that he was late and the scrawny fourth year emitted a sigh of relief. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad of a lesson if he at least pretended to look engaged. "Hullo Professor Reynolds! How goes it?" the mischievous Ling chirped, taking a seat next to a younger Slytherin girl. |
