As he walked into the altered Great Hall, the first booth that caught his eyes were the Daily Prophet. It was just about the only thing purely magic that his household contained, and he had stared at all the moving pictures for HOURS after his parents had finished leafing through the paper.

Making his way over, Ty instinctively grabbed a pamphlet without even looking at it and looked up at the people - journalists, right? - there. "Hello! What's it like, being a journalist? Is it fun? Do you really get to be mean and cruel and boss people around like in the movies?" he asked the first thing that had come to him.

Of course, it never occurred to him that they might not know what movies were. Or find this statement slightly offensive.

She smiled at the young man with such enthusiasm for journalism. It was nice to see. "Well hello there young sir," she teased. "Its the best job in the world. I get to come and go as I please. Write about the things that fascinate me and I get to capture the attention and imagination of thousands of people on a daily basis. What could be better?" She asked him. "Well being mean and cruel aren't character traits you should ever aspire to." she told him sternly. "Its just not nice," she added for good measure. "And I do have a boss, but he generally lets use go off on our own assignments." She would never speak ill of Ian especially to impressionable young minds. "Hollywood tends to blow things out of proportions, so don't believe everything you see in the movies," she winked at him. He reminded her of Dillon and Joseph and their obsession with super heroes. They figured if witches and wizards were real the surely Superman was too.

She squatted down and looked the girl in the eye. "You don't think they will allow you to go?" she asked her softly.

Torin headed over to the Prophet booth after the University one. He figured that he loved taking pictures, so Photojournalism might be something for him.

He picked up a pamphlet and started to look through it.

"I see. Thanks for the information. Hmm. So, you and that guy" Sophia points at the other guy discussing things to other students "are both journalists? Hm. Can I ask who are your photojournalists and photographer? I really want to be one, that's why."

Pepper nodded carefully. "My... colleague and I," he said, stressing the word over the student's uncouth colloquialism, "are both writers. In fact, I'm in charge of the news and politics section at the Daily Prophet. Miss Riddle-Greenwood is a writer in this area." He rubbed an earlobe in an embarrassed sort of way. "Unfortunately, our editor-in-chief did not think we were going to need a photographer here. If you have specific questions, you can always send an owl to one."

He turned the pamphlet in his hands over. "The address is on the back here," he said, tapping it with a slender finger. "I do know their general work routine, though. Sometimes, our photographers accompany the writers to interviews. Especially," Pepper grimaced slightly, "when they are meeting famous athletes or people in the entertainment business. At other times, a photojournalist may just pursue his or her own story through pictures - and later, a writer will add their text to them."

Abbi was so giddy after her experience with the herbologists that she bounced onto the next booth she found really interesting. Wizards had their newspaper! Why she was surprised she had no idea, but it made sense, shouldn't it. She skidded to the book and grabbed a pamphlet instantly reading through it while someone paid her attention, ohhh she had questions, lots of them.

They accepted submissions from young witches.

Well this was a live one, Egypt thought with a small smirk. She nearly bounced over the table as she skidded to a halt in front of the Daily Prophet booth. "Do you have any questions dear?" she asked her as she watched her read through the pamphlet.

Selena hugged the woman back. Her mother never hugged her. When she heard her offer, Selena's eyes widened. "Really?" Selena said in shock. "Miss, I'm not sure how I'd ever thank you," Selena said honestly. She seemed to be a really nice person. An offer like that was hard to turn down. She had to step back from the girl's enthusiasm. She was going a 100 miles and hour and it was a bit funny but Egypt kept herself from laughing in the girl's face. "Well I write with a quill myself. I don't much like muggle pens. And I write about wizarding news. Anything of note, like the new measures Minister Regan is taking in the ministry. Things like that." She told her.

Selena snapped out of her thoughts and smiled. "I'm fine, perfectly fine, never better actually," Selena rambled as she looked at the older woman. "Thats amazing" she sighed dreamily, they had their OWN Minister, that ran their world, "does he interact with our Prime Minister? Does he attend our House of Lords?" That would really be interesting, how come her parents didn't know about that?

Abbi bounced on her toes once the very very very very very nice lady passed her a copy of the latest WIZARDING NEWSPAPER. She jumped and hugged the woman then stepped back, "We are so not different afterall are well?" she giggled then nodded, "I will sure apply once i figure how much 2 knuts are" she grinned at the woman.

Egypt smiled was from ear to ear she had really made this girl happy and in turn Selena had made her happy. "That is really good Selena. It was truly a pleasure and an honor to have you at my booth." Selena had really brightened her day. She was really glad she had stopped by their booth.

She took out a business card from her bag and handed it to Selena. "There's my office address so you can just pop in and ask for me at the front desk. It has my home address in case you want to owl me or anything." She really hoped Selena kept in touch with her.

Egypt smiled and took a step back from the girl. Her enthusiasm was boiling over, not that Egypt minded. She liked a child with enthusiasm. Her boys were the same way. "Yes she, Minister Regan does interact with the muggle Prime Minister. We have to live in harmony with muggles." She told the girl. "Well Minister Regan doesn't involve herself in muggle politics just as the Prime Minister doesn't involve himself in out politics. But they get along and its a very good thing because we can't live separated from each other." She didn't want to get on her soapbox but she had to speak her mind. She was a reporter after all. "Nope we aren't that different, we just have wands and chocolate frogs," she giggled. "Oh well knuts are our money. They are sort of like muggle pence pieces. You have gold galleons, silver sickles and bronze knuts. One sickle is 29 knuts and 17 sickles is 1 galleon." She fished around in her bag and pulled out some galleons and sickles. "You can go to Gringotts in Diagon Alley and exchange your muggle money there." She pointed out to the girl. She wondered how she had bought her things without seeing wizarding money. But then again her parents may have done everything for her. She was rather young.

She nodded. "Yes Minister Taylor is a woman, she was elected almost 2 years ago. Well if you pick up some older copies of the Prophet you can catch up on everything." she pointed out to her. Egypt was proud that they had a female Minister of Magic. "We look forward to be able to owl you a Daily Prophet. And I certainly had fun with you as well dear." Egypt smiled. The girl almost knocked her over when she pounced on her and gave her a hug, "Oof," and then she stepped on her toe. Good thing she had worn her low heels today. "Oh its alright." she smiled. Good thing she had 5 roughhousing boys to take care of everyday. She had to shake her head and chuckle softly as the girl skipped off to another booth.

It was pitiful how Cedes had been completely oblivious to what was going on. Sure it was like smack dab right next to where she ate and all but she managed to completely walk by it and not stop. Of course later on in the day, Cedes realized what was going here and she was intrigued. First stop. Daily Prophet. She liked writing and she sure liked taking pictures. Even though interviews sometimes meant she had to interact with men, that was a given in every aspect of life. That still didn't meant cooties didn't exist.

The fifteen-year-old walked up to the booth and glanced around. She picked up a pamphlet and the most recent issue. She flipped through both, admiring everything about it. So... so nice.

Egypt was still reeling from the energy of that last girl, but she had really enjoyed it. She looked up and finally saw an older student. She was beginning to think that only the young ones wanted to be writers. She smiled and walked over to the girl. "Do you have any questions?" she asked her.
