Bella jumped back and looked innocent. She looked at the floor.

"Sorry, im just so happy to see you again. I havent seen you since the train!" She looked up and smiled. The breeze behind them blowing at her hair, It flew into her face. flicking it away she said:

"So hows you?"

Mel laughed at her. "It's okay Bella, I kinda enjoyed getting suffocated!" she exclaimed, smiling at her.

"Me too. Oh and correction you haven't seen me since the feast," she pointed out. Okay, she laughed yet again at her when her hair blew in her face.

"Good, better now though, I don't have to be lonely anymore!" she exclaimed happily. "What about you?"

Bella chuckled as she stood facing her best friend, she leant against the wall and folded her arms, ready for a long conversations.

"Oh yeah, the feast was really fun. You got jealous of the girls i were with" She laughed, but looked at her friend, hoping she hadn't hurt her feelings. She gave her a hug, an act of cheering up.

Going back to her leaning postion, she added, "Im glad your not lonely, Im here to save you!" She chuckled, really in a good mood, "Im good thanks, the year's started off good"

Mel laughed slightly and did a lobsided grin which she listened to Bella.

"Yeah, wait what!" she spoke clearly looking shocked, "jealous, you think I saw jealous of Lily-anne and Amy," she waved it away. "I know those girls anyway, Amy is a crazed out girl and Lily-anne is alright I guess," she smiled, finished with her little act. "Yeah, except for me mostly, too much drama, cr-" she stopped, okay she did want to tell Bella, but it wasn't her place to do it, it was Amy's. "Also, it's brilliant that we have -6 points, I know exactly who did it and why they were taken," she could of got some points taken off too, but she wasn't there to back them up.

Bellz chuckled as she listened, watching the breeze move the trees and grass outside. It looked rather windy. She smiled, "You so were Jealous" Giggling, she waiting for the comeback. When none came she added, "Well i somehow missed all the drama last year, dont ask me why, but i did. And Ravenclaw had the most points last year" She smiled smugly, giggling.

"But tell me, Who?" She added.

Gold raised an eyebrow, when he chuckled. "Easy to focus on?" she asked. "Does that mean what I think it means?" Okay, so she had no idea, to be honest. But boys found pretty professors easier to focus on, right? Or maybe she was just thinking something of that sort, because she felt they had a pretty cute teacher for Charms, this term.

"I'm surprised I managed, too," she admitted. "It wasn't easy but, at the end of the day, it was a lot of fun. It was also sort of painful," she added, almost as an afterthought. "I had sore feet for quite a while. But all in good fun, I guess." Experience is a lovely teacher. A tough one, too, come to think of it and -- and then they were back on the Forbidden Forest.

On the topic of it, that is.

"Well, we had a few lessons nearby," Gold said. "In full supervision, of course. But, that aside, lots of stuff ended up around there, last year. Injured students, to begin with." She shook her head, at the thought. Not nice, to think of. "Then a few 'clues,' such as coupons and torn parchment and stuff." Nothing pretty, to be honest.

"I think it means what you think it means," Aiden replied. Wait. What? "In other words, we payed attention because the professor was attractive." There, that cleared things up a bit. It must have been a thing with Charms teachers because that blonde-haired woman who taught the subject at Hogwarts was very pretty as well.

And then he looked back to Gold. Merlin's beard, pretty girls were everywhere! "Well, you are to be commended! I don't think I can come up with a single person I know, apart from you, who could wear heels while playing football." He knew people who could wear heels very well, and he knew people who could play football very well, but none who could do them both simultaneously!

He nodded when they returned back to the subject of the Forbidden Forest. So the students do get to go in there.. just with professors, of course. "Ah, I see." How strange that so many topics somehow related last year's incidents. Hmmh.

Drew let Annie pull back from his arms and nodded in agreement as she said the two should go to see the Professor. "Yes you do." He said smiling slightly.

Drew watched as she picked Copito up again. Awww poor little guy...

"You will be fine I promise." He said smiling wide as he placed his arm carefully around her shoulders.

Mel looked shocked and she was shocked too. "What! You think I was jealous?" she questioned Bella. "Meh, I've had more drama since I knew about all this then the whole of my life!" yeah, drama which she didn't want to happen. She was like in a soap, without having a script. "Ravenclaw!" she spat the name in disgust. "Well, I think that Hufflepuff might just take over," she smirked at her.

"Who what?" she was puzzled people, this wasn't an act.

She put her hands up in mock horror, "Dont bite my head off! I was only saying! Jeashh" She loved her best, Yes she did, but sometimes she did overreact. Sighing she put her arms down and smiled, "Its nice to know you love you house, but seriously Mel, being mean about other people's isnt nice!" She told her friend sternly.

Giggling she told her friend, "Who lost you the points?"

Gold grinned, at him. "Boys will be boys," she said. "... and girls will be girls," she added, as an afterthought. "Generally pretty and cheerful and a bit dramatic, you know." She hated drama queens, though. Even if they did make life kinda interesting. AT TIMES.

"The Forbidden Forest is okay, at first glance," Gold said, thoughtfully. "I mean, we've had a few classes there. We learned a heap of stuff about three-headed serpents and Thestrals and even played broom sports, there. But if you go in deeper, things are just creepy. There's a reason students aren't allowed to go in there - most mischief-makers think it's a silly rule, but they can't actually comprehend, how risky it can be, in there. I don't think I ever want to be in there, alone. Nor would I let anyone else go in, in front of me."

Not to mention, she was a Prefect, and Gold had always been serious about her duties. Not that she was a boring person, or anything.

But responsibility is... a big responsibility!

"Okay, okay. I'd rather not bite your head off, you would look ridiculous and I'm not an animal," Mel stated and acted if she thought that Bella was talking about it literally. "Okay, actually it is the best house. But secretly I do like Ravenclaw second," she nodded, then Gryffindor and Slytherin were tied, she didn't met a lot of them yet so she had no clue. She raised an eyebrow Bella's tone after saying what she had said.

"Amy and some other guy who you probably don't know," she said annoyed, "dungbombs," she added.

Bella suddenly covered her head with her hands, trying not to giggle. She liked her head the way it was. Yes she did! Smiling she said "Well every house is as good as each other to be honest" She uncovered her head and looked around.

"Dungbombs, so early in the year?" She shock her head smiling.

Mel laughed at Bella. Strangely, they were alike. "Wait I'm not an animal I told you! Go down to the Forbidden Forest, the strange animals are there and they could bite your head off if you want. Free of charge," she smiled. "True, but they do have different talents," she pointed out.

"Yeah, since when were the Hufflepuff's controlled by those pesky Slytherin's who always get into detention?" she asked.

Bella giggled, "I'd much rather stay whole if its alright with you" She smiled, shaking her head, "You can though" She gestered to the grounds, laughing.

"Um, im guessing since never?" Was it a trick question? She wasnt sure. she chewed her bottom lip as she thought, and waiting for and answer. The wind whipped the few strands of her hair that had fallen from her loose bun, and into her face.

Mel laughed, she was going to act again and say no, but she thought she would just leave it at that. Oh no, Bella didn't though and she raised a eyebrow at her. "Nah, I'd like a detention-free term," well she might be expelled if she went there. That she didn't want.

"Never well I meant the Slytherins who got detention. It seemed like some of the Hufflepuff students were being mischievous too, so that is what I mean," she finished. She giggled though when she saw Bella's hair go into her face, that was slightly funny.

"A detention-free term?" She couldnt help but laugh, "I mean..." She didnt finish...instead she chewed her bottom lip again flicking hair out for her face to see her friend better, "If you would have been there when this mischief was happening with the dungbombs you would have spoke up, meaning a detention" She told her.

Sighing she looked out over the grounds for like the tenth time. She wondered what this year would bring for her, romance? Detention? She could only dream.

Aiden smiled at her description of girls. How on-target she was! Hah. She was a girl, though. "This is true," he added. "Although, I believe 'dramatic' is an understatement." He winked.

His eyesight shifted to the direction of the Forbidden Forest. He remember when he first saw the forest the other day, and it didn't even look too ominous. Yet, he was aware - just from horror stories and now from Gold herself - that the place was by no means any playground. "Well, you don't have to worry about me going in there," he said, looking back to Gold. "I'd prefer not to get expelled - or killed - the year before I graduate."

By this point, although Aiden didn't know the prefect too well just yet, he had come to the conclusion that he liked her. Despite obviously being brave - she was a Gryffindor - she could still admit her fears, and she seemed genuine when she stated that she wouldn't allow anyone else to go in there alone either. He guessed he just admired it when people were actually noble.

"So," he decided to change topics once again. "What's new in your life? Other than starting classes up again."

Gold laughed. "There are Drama Kings, too, though," she pointed out. "But I agree girls can be plain... bleh, at times." For lack of a better word. "But they're also nice to hang around." She didn't think he would disagree. He was a guy, after all, wasn't he?

"No one is getting killed," she said, gently. And yes, she was glad when he changed the topic. To a much better one.

"I'm not actually sure," she admitted. "I have the OWLS I need to pursue a career as a healer, so I'm kind of sorting out my options - even though it's a little early. I still have about two years, before I graduate." Still. One can never be too prepared. "Other than that, I'm training to be an animagus, and I guess I'll be perfect at it, by next year." She needed to work closely with the new Transfiguration professor, this year. "... andddd, of course, the usual. Picking out pretty dresses, trying not to get into boy trouble - my mum did say she wasn't going to be happy, if I land into a new relationship, or something," she frowned slightly, then cheered up.

"But! It sounds like things are heading in a good direction, overall. I haven't managed to land into any sort of trouble, this term." The 'yet' hung in the air, of course. It seriously wasn't her fault!

Yes, there were drama kings. For sure. Was she implying that he was? Gahh, hopefully not. A smile spread across his face. "Of course. Girls are certainly excellent company."

"Oh, awesome. I should probably study for my O.W.L.S extra early.. seeing as I'm rather bad about procrastinating." Procrastinating with school work, at least. And she will have perfected her animagus training by next year! What a reminder.. he needed to get on that. "Sounds like your mum is very concerned about you keeping focused on schoolwork." Or maybe she was just being a normal, overly protective parent.

Yes. He was right there. Girls are awesome! And no, she was totally not being biased. Okay, so maybe she was.

Inwardly only, though.

"You're a NEWT-level student, right?" Gold asked, politely. Wait, had he mentioned his year? She didn't remember, now, but she was pretty sure he was either the same age as her, or older. Then she remembered that he had mentioned it. Ugh. Temporary loss of memory, or what? "Transfiguration is an awesome subject," she said, as he mentioned that he needed to get on that, too - animagus stuff.

"Not really," she shook her head no. "My mum kinda wants me to... do anything, but stay clear of boys. She thinks I'm distracted, or something. One would think my grades would satisfy her. But -" She looked up at him. "She's a wonderful mother, so that's okay."

"Yes, I'm a N.E.W.T level student," Aiden affirmed. He had said O.W.L.S, didn't he? Ah well. She knew what he was talking about, so that's all that mattered. "Is there any subject you don't like?" He asked with a small laugh.

"Aha, I see." Hah. Her mom might be right; avoiding guys probably would save the girl a lot of distraction and probably a lot of heartache. Or something like that. But then that would just be boring, wouldn't it? You can't live life on the sidelines! "Well, it seems like you're lucky to have her, then." He wondered about her siblings.. might as well ask, right? "So, are you the only one she fusses over, or do you have any brothers and sisters?"

Grinning, Jimbo said, "Why do you think I had it in my pocket in the first place?" Muahahaha. Seriously, he didn't know why that sock was there. He couldn't remember why- oh. Hahhaha. THAT'S what the sock was from. It wasn't a truce, that's for sure.

Is she...INSULTING the sock? Saying he was DIRTY? Scoffing, Jimbo reached to snatch the sock away from her but she had already hidden it behind her. What was she doing? He wanted his sock back. This was no way to agree to a truce!

Freaking out, Jimbo exclaimed, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

Was she absoloutely bonkers? It was HIS sock, not hers. It even said 'THE FARLEY ROCKS MY SOCKS' on it. Obviously, Jimbo Farley's property. Not to mention the ball inside it. He wanted that back too. Those objects carried good memories! And he wasn't about to let her steal that from him.
He might've been overreacting, but the look on her face said that he was exactly right. She wasn't planning to give the sock back.

And maybe she would ruin it. Who knows what bad things she would do to the poor sock.

"I WANT MY SOCK BACK!"

He was bored and he was lonely so he and Stark were wondering around the grounds. Stark had been complaining at Diggy for the past few days. He could feel Dillon melancholy, and he had pushed Diggy out of the bed and out of the door. He sure was a pushy cat.

They walked around enjoying the crisp air, Diggy zipped up the zipper on his robes and Stark jumped into his arms. Diggy nuzzled his cat who started up his purr engine that Diggy loved so much.

Logan had felt like a walk when he woke up so once he was dressed he pulled his school robe around him and grabbed his hat since it was part of the uniform he was a little worried he would be in trouble if he didn't wear it. He made his way down the stairs and out of the common room. Once he was out and partly across the grounds he went to put his hat on as a gust of wind blew causing the hat to fly out of his hands and tumble across the courtyard grounds "Wait!!!" He called as if that alone would bring the hat to a halt when it didn't he hurried after it. Stumbling slightly on a loose shoelace as he chased after the rouge hat before he tripped and landed on the ground just inches short of where the hat was lying.
