Not having to do with boys or anything, just the whole, who knew more and such. Kylie was probably better than her now. She had to change that!!

But she'll change that later. For now, Evelyn put another happy smile on her face before skipping all the way over to her friend, and plopping herself down next to her. "Hey!"

"And.. er.. well, what's up? You look funny." She thought about what she said, whoops.

"I MEAN, not ACTUALLY like, how you LOOK, but you look so happy. And then, like, not." Kylie was so awful with words. She should just write down everything she had to say.

Her stomach churned a bit at her friend's face--obviously confused, hurt, angry. She royally screwed up. "I mean. Well, you looked really happy! Which was great! It lit up your eyes in the most gorgeous way. But, you also looked just a littttle sad. I wondered what the little sad was about, not that you have to tell me. At all."

Kylie felt like she should try to put the smile back on her friends face. But how? Hm.. well, doing magic in front of her, Kylie new, would NOT be the answer. She'd take it as a challenge. She reached into her bag--knowing she didn't have any candy there--some nonverbal magic in an instant, and she had a hard candy in there. Charmed so it would be the best thing the person who ate it had ever tasted, didn't matter what they liked, it was simply the best.

"Want some candy? I got it in Switzerland at the magic folks place there. It's absolutely delicious." Kylie stuck her hand out with the wrapped candy inside her fist.

Kylie still couldn't shake that she'd made her friend feel bad. Well, it was true, Ev was generally upset, not happy. She should have played along with the good mood. But too late now.

"Oh, at the welcome back feast I asked you about him and guessed you liked him? Remember? I guess I was just messing around, I didn't mean anything by it. Just that he was THE Josh that we'd talked about at the feast." Kylie didn't know what to do. Evelyn was obviously still a little irked, but she just didn't know what to DO about it.

Ideas ran through her head, and then she remembered. Evelyn. Loved. Trouble.

She thought about it... and there was one thing that being a Hufflepuff meant. Being loyal. Being good to your friends. Being kind. That's what she had to do now.

Evelyn's eyes suddenly widened as she looked back to Kylie, her mouth gaping open. Guessed she liked him? She? Evelyn liked Josh? And Kylie guessed that?! And...she just confirmed it. "I mean, yea...we talked about him." And she didn't remember. "He's a great friend." LIES! He was more than a friend.

Clearing her throat, she adverted her eyes to somewhere, anywhere, else other than at Kylie. The last thing she needed was someone else on her parent's hate list, and if Kylie got involved, than it wouldn't end up good.

However, all thoughts of parents, Josh, and whatever else was on her mind vanished when she heard Kylie's suggestion. Pranks. Quickly, Evelyn looked back over at her, and narrowed her eyes slightly. The Huffepuff, had definitely changed over the summer if she was suggesting they go do a prank on someone. Which was extremely tempting. But then again, she didn't want to get into trouble and let down Professor Truebridge AND the entire Slytherin house.

But...pranks! "Depends...on what you have in mind." she said, her eyes still narrowed though she was extremely curious to know what Kylie was thinking of.

Ehh, Kylie knew. Kylie KNEW! She had that look on her face. "Whaaaaaaat?" Evelyn whined, crossing her arms and huffing as she sulked in her little spot. She better not say anything to anyone!

She wasn't thinking about any pranks? Well, that just killed her mood again. But then again, she did suggest something quite amusing. "Levitate a firstie?" She'd never thought about doing that before. Tripping them by making their shoelaces tie together, yes...but not levitate.

"Nah. I'm good. I'm trying to cut back on pranks anyways. Yes, shocking...don't have a heart attack." SHE was having a heart attack and they didn't need another having one too. How long had Evelyn gone without messing with anyone? Too long!

She took a little breath, before going on. "Basically, the former Slytherin Head of House - Professor Lupa -- this guy Remi, claimed to be in love with her. Only he wasn't." Gold had seen Remi's eyes, as he had gone down - it had been obsession, madness, not love. "He disguised himself as a barman in Hogsmeade, and Imperius'ed a bunch of students, to get into the castle. He wanted to take Professor Lupa with him, but he knew she wouldn't come of her own free will. It wasn't nice, there was a sort of battle, that culminated on the fifth floor corridor." Just her luck, that she had to be there. "The students formed a defense line, and a few professors duelled it out with Remi. They were able to take him down, in the end. Lots of injuries, though - especially given that some students were under the Imperius, and were trying to hurt others." He had tried to hurt her - Gold wasn't going to get over that, in a million lifetimes. "It wasn't pretty, Aiden."

She closed her eyes for a tiny moment. The memories were still there, and they were all too tied up with her summer. But then the tiny moment was gone, and Gold's eyelids flew open, once more. She was the pretty, all cheerful Gold, again. "Lots to digest, eh?" She gave Aiden a smile. "But things are okay, now. There's nothing to worry about."

"Whoa." Aiden searched his vocabulary for some word to describe the whole thing, but the only thing that came to mind was that: 'whoa.' It was crazy, when he thought about it. Some complete creep casting students under the Imperius Curse in order to steal away the woman he was utterly obsessed with? It sounded like it could be the plot to some wizarding novel. Too bad it wasn't fictional.

He shook his head. It must have been hard for the students, seeing their best friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, trying to kill them! It certainly was a lot to digest. "Yeah, I can't even imagine." Unfortunately, it was evident that last year's incident still had wounds on Gold. She wasn't the only one, either.

"I'm really sorry, Gold," he apologized, now feeling guilty for making her relive the whole thing all over again. "But thank you for telling me. I appreciate it."

"That's okay," Gold said, quickly. "It actually helped me sort out some things. I've always wanted to be a healer, and I helped out so many people, then, I realized that I actually can be a healer. I wasn't sure if I had it in me, before then. I am, now."

She wasn't trying to make light of it, but the whole thing had had a good side. "It was amazing, how brave some of the students were," she said gently. "I could never have imagined it possible." Heh, well that was admirable. She was able to help heal the injuries of her own classmates, and from the sound of it - there must have been a good amount of kids hurt that day. Seems like they were talking about war or something, really. "Yes, that's true." He liked that saying. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. He fancied thinking it was true most of the time, at least.

"So.." It would be slightly difficult to transition from that subject; it seemed like something they shouldn't dwell on. "This year, though, looks to be going along quite well, though? .. Even if it is extremely early to say that." He smiled a bit.

Aiden laughed. Rubber-spiders and innocuous jokes didn't seem out of the ordinary at this school; how refreshing, especially since so many of the kids at Durmstrang had such an obsession with giving the semblance of toughness and all that.

The sixth year nodded as she asked whether he was anticipating this term. "Of course! I'm sure it will prove to be very interesting." Probably even crazy, but that was expected! It was Hogwarts, after all. "Aaand, maybe I'll even see you in a few of my classes."

Gold grinned. It looked like Aiden was excited for the school year. Gold was too, of course. But it made her sad, that she would only have one term left, after this one. The next would be her last year at Hogwarts, and she could not say that made her happy.

"What classes are you taking?" She asked Aiden, straightening up a bit. "I took pretty much all of them, the year before." She was going to take all of them this year, too. "Ancient Runes ended up my mega-favourite. But Professor Lupa left, so we have a new professor, now."

She wanted Professor Lupa back.

"You are welcome." Drew said with a small chuckle as Annie thanked him. He watched as she put the Copito on a rock and came back over to him. Soon she was hugging him tight. He smiled wide and returned the hug and gave her a kiss on the top of the head.

"You joined dueling club? Welll that's going to be interesting. I'm sure you will do great though."

Slowly, and so pleased of the wonderful boyfriend Annie had, she let go of him and grinned. "Let's get going. I really need Professor Iliana to see Copito before the day ends." And who wouldn't, it was past midday and probably she had her corresponding classes to give during the day.

She picked up Copito from the rock. Aww, my. That animal looked terrible.

"Yeah..." She answered, as the walk towards the hut went. " I hope so. It is sure going to be interesting, though. And also assured to be a kick into my pride..." Annie was not the best in DADA, even her father said she needed more...determination to do things, daring to defend herself.

He thought it was likely frustration as she had accepted his proposal....wait...that sounded a bit too strong. That was not the word he was looking for yet. They were a bit too young for that kind of step. Since she was his girlfriend now...his nerves ceased and he was completely calm again. It had gone mostly how he had desired it to and he had definitely gotten the desired result. He began gently kissing her cheeks again and her lips. He was lucky their weren't any teachers around or he might've landed himself in detention, though he hadn't been caught before...and had done worse than kissing his girlfriend...yes she was his girlfriend now. Wow that was going to take some getting used to. "...Hey Rae".. he questioned softly still holding her close.

It was a shame that the Professor Lupa she mentioned had to leave, but he couldn't say that he was surprised. After what happened to the woman last year, Aiden really couldn't blame her. "So, what professors are the difficult ones?" Heh.. he had no idea still, seeing as he hadn't gone to Hogwarts before.

Ewww. Arithmancy?! What was this girl thinking? "Well, I'm certain that we have different taste in classes, then," Aiden commented with a laugh. "Your two favorites are my two least favorites." But the sixteen-year-old listened as she explained which teachers she was fond of and which ones taught what. At least it sounded like Defense Against the Dark Arts had a pretty good one.

"Well. Gold," he began, mimicking her intro words just a tad. "I like chocolate as well, but ice cream will always be my preference with desserts. I also enjoy outdoorsy stuff and those extreme muggle sports, you know? And a good book every now and again, although I admit that I haven't had much time for reading as of late." And girls. Duh. But that was usually a given with guys. "So, ever have any camp outs in the dark forest?" Hah. He knew the answer to this - she was a prefect! - but he smiled and let her answer.

Bella walked forward a few more steps. She recognised the girl, well she should have, it was her best friend Mel. Smiling she jogged the rest of the way over

"Mel!" She pratically shouted, giving her friend a hug.

"Well, sure. I can understand how a professor can make the difference. Everyone at Durmstrang loved Charms, though not really the actual subject too much; just the teacher was quite easy to focus on." Aiden chuckled a little, recalling the good looks of the woman.

"Football in high heels?" Wow! Now that was a feat. "How did you manage that? I'm surprised you didn't end up with a broken ankle!" He smiled when she corrected him about the name of the forest. Dark forest, Forbidden Forest, same difference! Sort of. Well, he had an excuse - he was a transfer! "Ah, really? So for what reason have you been in the Forbidden Forest?" Yes, note the emphasis. Heheh.

Mel sighed, she thought that she should go to Grounds now. She turned around and got her named shouted then got suffocated by a hug, from none other than Bella. "Bella!" she exclaimed. "Can you try to not suffocate me please?" she asked weakly.
