Eeeeesh!

Josh was starting right away!? Talk about jumping to the point.

At least he gave her a warning about him starting right away. Usually people just jump right into these type of things without even a hint of a warning. Grateful, she nodded her head deciding not to comment on the whole don't make an exclamation. Pffft, like Destiny does STUFF like that! And even if she did, he said please and all, so she wouldn't have. She was ready to be hit with whatever he had..except his fist. Yeah, that would be no fun.

And..there was a pause already!

A pause in speech was never good, especially in a dramatic circumstance like this. When he started, her eyes widened a bit since he had said he cares about her and thinks he has..something. WELL OUT WITH IT BOY! What did he think he had!? Maybe he just thought he had Evelyn's quill or something..even though that didn't make sense, it was better than what came out of his mouth when he started up again. Wide eyed and opened mouthed, she stared at him for a moment before speaking, "First..I want to tell you how FREAKED out I am over the fact that you are telling this to me." She gave a slight shiver to prove her point before she continued, "And second..what do you want me to do about it? I mean, you must want me to do SOMETHING since you are talking to me about it, right? Do you want me..to ask her or something?"

Merlin! What was going on with HER and her offer to help with this?

She WAS mental..like everyone says she is.

Pausing, Josh remained silent and watched her while the Slytherin girl took everything in. Hopefully she was not the kind of a girl to scream over that bit of an information about somebody having feeling for her best friend. And yes she did not scream or did any kind of annoying exclamation whcih made the boy sigh with relief.

However the girl's first sentence was not something that the Gryffindor was expecting. His intention was not to freak her out, he was just looking for someone to talk to, yet, on the other hand, the girl was right since what Josh had revealed was not something one could hear about her best friend everyday plus there was a fact that they had been friends for like about three years.

''You know her best'' then he explained the reason why he chose her ''So you are the only one that might have the answer for my question. I don't want you to ask her anything. I can deal with that part. I am scared of neither expressing my feelings nor being rejected. The thing is that i do not want to upset her if she prefers to see me as a friend. So i just need to know your opinion. Would she be upset if i decided to tell her how i feel? What do you think?''

"Yeah, I'm fine." said Allie, scrambling to pick up all of her books and get up off the floor..which took a while because each time she thought she had balanced them all in her hand one would drop. She laughed after the third time this happened, and looked up at the girl she had ran into, and realized she had never met her befre."Sorry, I'm not really known for my gracefulness." After a couple more tries she finally manage to get all of her books together, and stand up staight without any of the books falling.
"Hi,I don't think we've met before." she said, "I'm Allie, seventh year, Gryffindor."

The thought of Josh and Evelyn being more than friends sent a slight shiver down Destiny's spine.

If Josh would have came up to Destiny a few months ago with this, she would have ran away screaming, trying to drag the boy to the Healer to get rid of his cooties. Sure, she still believed in them now, but she'd rather the people learn they have this DISEASE for themselves. She got into too much trouble trying to help them. No one appreciated her and her help.

She nodded her head as he said she knew Evelyn best. She supposed she did, yet sometimes it seemed like her BEST friend was hiding things from her. Not being one to pry, Destiny left the questions to herself. Besides, if Evelyn wanted her to know, she would tell. She nodded her head a few more times, to let him know she was paying attention. Perhaps Josh shouldn't have asked what she thought. For starters, she thought the Gryffindor's shoes were ugly and she would have said this to him, but she realized that wasn't what he was asking for. "Umm..well, I don't know. She never, like, mentioned any of this stuff to me..but I've suspected SOMETHING between you two ever since first year. It creeped me out back then and it is still creeping me out now, just so you know. I don't know why I am saying this, but I think you should tell her. I mean, what's the worst that can happen, right?"

Pffft. If something DID happen, Josh could totally Obliviate Evelyn.

Problem solved!

Looking very serious and interested Josh listened to the Slytherin girl carefully as she spoke in order to take in every detail she uttered for they were of vital importance for the boy. Being a Gryffindor he gave the prior importance to his friends instead of himself and Destiny was his friend too.

Like the girl did he also nodded when she told him that he should tell Evelyn how he felt. Right. What was the worts that can happen? He was not going to tell her something bad plus he believed his feelings were beyond mere liking. He had a different kind of love for her as if she was the only one left alive from his family hence why he was over protective of her.

When Destiny stopped speaking, the Gryffindor boy smiled at her and quickly began to look for some chocolate in his pockets. He always carried around honeydukes chocolate with himself and if she was lucky... there it was! Grinning Josh took the bar of chocolate out his pocket and presented it to the girl ''Thank you for the advice, Destiny, that was quite enough for me, here take this as a thank you gift.''

Destiny's eyes widened when Josh started digging into his pockets. Sweet Merlin! She had given him the wrong advice and now he was going to hex her for it! When she noticed him pulling his hand out, she closed her eyes tight. She didn't want to see her DOOM!

She didn't think about the new shoelaces she had in her shoes. She could have ran away, but she was sure the boy would catch up to her anyway. Everyone knows Destiny can't run very fast, and she really, REALLY needed to work on that. Good thing Evelyn was going to stay with her over the summer, for she would whip her into shape in NO time at all! Hearing the boys words, she first opened her left eye, slowly followed by her right. He was..thanking her and NOT hexing her?

Eying his hand, a grin plastered itself onto her face. CHOCOLATE! Josh was giving her choooocolate! She was a little hesitant in taking it from him, not because she didn't trust Josh, it was because she knew what Evelyn would do to her if she found out that she is eating the chocolaty goodness of chocolate. She gave him a light punch on the shoulder before taking it from him and opening it, "You're welcome, buddy!" Hopefully he didn't expect her to share..that would be silly of him. "Do you ALWAYS have chocolate on you?" she asked, and shoved what she had opened into her mouth.

If his answer was 'yes', she would claim him as her new BEST friend. Just behind Evelyn, of course.

Josh laughed when Destiny punched him on the shoulder and attacked the chocolate which reminded him of himself as he did the same when some friend of his presented him something tastly. Destiny surely knew how to enjoy her life and eating chocolate was one of the best ways to do it.

''Yep'' he replied nodding slightly and looking for another chocolate in his pockets ''I generally do. There's a friend of my mum who regularly sends me a box of them every week. And probably that is the only good thing that dude does in his life'' teheheheheheheheh. ''Now if you excuse me i need to do a short visit to the Forbidden Forest. Soo see ya later, Destiny''

Josh was her BEST friend EVERRRRR!

Of course she wouldn't tell him that, since then he would expect her to do his homework and she didn't even like to do her own. Nope, Destiny and Josh would be secret best friends. Only she could know. Maybe, just maybe when she wanted that chocolate she would let him know.

Shoving more of the chocolate in her mouth, she nodded when he said he was going into the Forbidden Forest. What in the name of Merlin is he going in there!? She was going to ask, but she had a mouthful of chocolate and she really didn't want to hear him complain that she spit on him. That would soooo ruin their best friend status. Waving as he left, she decided to go and do something fun! She turned around and headed back towards the castle..

..she was going to bother Evelyn.
