"I'm just kidding, you don't need to keep it!" she laughed, taking the brooch back off Evelyn. If she was given that brooch by someone other than her feeble minded grandmother, she would not accept it. Well, she would, but she would hide it somewhere later on. Never would she wear the thing. She listened to Evelyn as explained why there was a picture of Truebridge on her watch and she couldn't help but nod. That made sense..but it still didn't explain how defensive her friend got over the whole thing. Destiny would just have to do some spying around over this. Hmm..does Evelyn keep a diary? Heehee.

She chuckled as Evelyn moved the burning piece of parchment away from herself. At least she was now being careful with the fire, not like that one potion's class. Destiny never did see that potion's book again. "But it would have been more fun to crumble it. And then stomp it. Then pick it up and throw it in the lake." Of course throwing something in the lake would e considered littering, but fun nonetheless. "Maye not throw it in the lake.. The fish might eat it." There were fish in the lake, right? Ehh..

Whaaaat? "When in the world did you light yourself on fire?" If Evelyn wasn't so protective of her wand, Destiny would have to keep it away from her. Supervised wand visits are what Evelyn needed. She would have to keep her eyes on her friend, especially in Potion's class..and now that she was all into this cooking, she would need to be watched in the kitchens as well. "And I usually start the fires for you too." she added, "Which is weird, 'cause I don't like fire."

Okay, so either someone was going on with Evelyn, or she decided to become really nosy at the moment. "Well, for the last two summers I spent them with my grandmother. Buuuut, this summer I'll be able to spend it home! My grandmother is going on some kind of expedition thing. She tried to take me, but my parents told her no." Thank Merlin for that! Last summers trip was enough for Destiny. She didn't need to go on another one with that wonky-brained woman. "Do you know what you are doing for the summer yet?"

Hmm..was it too early to be thinking about the summer?

Hmm, now that the brooch was gone...she wanted it! Give it back!!

Pouting slightly, having already thought of many ways she could possibly destroy the thing and now not being able to do so, the Slytherin took a deep breathe before looking around before raising a brow at her friend. "That would take too much energy and...time." Yes, she needed time! There wasn't enough time in the world. "Besides, I doubt fish would want to eat old parchment." Well it wasn't old, in fact it looked as if it were bought the day before (BEFORE it was burned of course), but eating parchment? Just gross. Even for a fish.

Now, how could Destiny not remember her lighting things and herself on fire? "There were...a few times." she spoke quietly, looking everywhere but Destiny. In fact, there were quite a few times Destiny herself was almost set on fire because Evelyn had playing with it again. Nodding at Destiny when she said something about fire, it also made her think of all the other times her friend put out fires on the table...with her arm. Of course she didn't really know it at the time since she was too absorbed in her potion work, but it was just convenient at times when her friend placed her arm on a small flame. Made it go out in a blink of an eye! "And I am eternally thankful for that."

Teehee.

Meh. Evelyn really didn't want to meet Destiny's grandmother, but if things were going the way they did, and with just her luck, she was going to have to sooner or later. "Sounds like fun." Expedition thing? Evelyn herself would have been going on one again this next summer but... "No, I haven't decided yet." she said, sighing in frustration before rubbing her face and letting her arms drop to her side. "Everything is all weird at my home at the moment. I'm not even there but trouble STILL finds me!"

Turning her head over to her friend, the Slytherin barely smiled for a moment before chuckling softly. "Save me from my evil parents?"

Did..Evelyn just pout because the brooch was gone?

Shaking her head, Destiny placed the brooch back on Evelyn's lap. She really hoped her friend wasn't going to listen to her and really pin it to her bag. Imagine the teasing she would get and the beating they would get! She smirked at the thought of Evelyn clobbering people, but it faded quickly. How much time it take to crumble a piece of parchment? She shrugged, "It took time and energy to point your wand too." Maybe not as much as it would have been with the crumbling and stomping, but still..energy and time. "Evelyn, fish can't eat parchment, they have no teeth." she said, then making a funky fish face, laughed. Still, they had no teeth. They couldn't chew paper, they would CHOKE!

Heh. Destiny did remember some of the fires Evelyn had caused..that one Potion's class stuck out the most. It could have been because Evelyn was giggling through the whole ordeal or the fact that she received a black eye. Whichever, it didn't matter how she remembered it, she just did. "Well, we could count all the times you did it, but we'd be here for ages!" she joked, since it really wasn't THAT many times. Perhaps it would take an hour or two, but definitely not an age..however long that is. "Umm..you're welcome I guess." What was Evelyn thankful for again?

Of course it sounded like fun! Destiny was going to have the WHOLE house to herself this summer while her parents went away. After all, she was fourteen now, and it's not like she would be alone. The sheep would keep her company, and the owls would be there as well. Sly, he doesn't count as company, since all he does is sleep. "Definitely fun!" she said, assuming Evelyn was not talking about the expedition her grandmother was going on. That woman wouldn't know fun if it bit her on the behind. She frowned as Evelyn was unsure about her own summer. Perhaps she would get lucky and go away with her uncle again. And if that happened, Destiny was sure to get another AWESOME quill! With her frown deepening, she glanced to the pile of ash that was once a letter. "Is that what that letter was about, you getting in trouble?" It would explain why she lit it on fire.

Save her from her parents? "You can come to my house, you know." she said raising a brow.

Not like Destiny's parents would know. They wouldn't be home all summer.

Looking back down when she felt something on her leg, a small smirk appeared on her lips at seeing the brooch again. A simple object that will be the victim of MANY spells! Mwahaha!


But, evilness later. Right now, she had to laugh at what Destiny said. "You've never seen a parana have you." she said, just imagining the look on her friend's face if she did. Those things were creepy!

Snickering slightly at just how many times there have been an accident with her and fire, there were actually a few that she would like to forget about. Especially the times in her dreams. Why couldn't someone just obliviate her so she could have a fresh new mind?! Pssh!

When the letter was mentioned, Evelyn came back to reality, glancing at Destiny really quick before looking down to the floor, seeing that only a few pieces of the parchment were left behind and hadn't scattered like the rest. "Yea, pretty much." she mumbled, kicking away the pieces of parchment and frowning. She still wasn't one to talk about emotions and such, or even huge events in her life but... it was Destiny. She wasn't going to go blab stuff to other people right? She hadn't before! Although...

There was the suggestion she was looking for! Mwaha! "Really?" she asked in fain shock and hope. "Your parents wouldn't mind though? You should ask them first."

Teehee.

Good. Evelyn seemed happy with the brooch being on her lap. As long as it doesn't end up permanently stuck to any of Destiny's things, she didn't care what her friend did with it.

At the word parana, Destiny tilted her head and blinked a few times, "Isn't that what I ate last night?" Ehh, once again she was questioning the cooking habits of those blasted house elves. First the lima bean cookies, now this crazy..whatever it was. She was thankful her home was house elf free.

She was grateful for the drop in the fire subject. Fire always brought back memories of potion's class with Kazi. It wasn't that they were bad memories, she just missed the old Professor. Old as in past, not that the man was old..even though he was. Heh.

If her frown could have deepened anymore, it would have. She didn't like hearing that her friend was getting in trouble, or sad for that matter. She was just getting used to happy perky Evelyn, and she kinda liked her friend that way. "Well, at least it wasn't a howler, right?" Those howlers..they like to tell everyone your business..

The frown disappeared as Evelyn's shocked expression. She would really want to stay with her over the summer? "Really, really!" she said standing up, and grabbing Evelyn's hand, started to pull her "C'mon! We're going to the owlery!"

It would be easier if school had those muggle wellyfones.

A few more chuckles escaped her when, she had to stop and stare. "What?" she asked, really unsure whether Destiny was serious about saying that or not. "I don't think, they serve parana at Hogwarts." And if they did, then she would be going to the kitchens and making her own food from now on. Or have things imported from somewhere.

But, why in the world would Destiny think she ate that last night?!

Frowning, and trying to think of what they had for dinner last night, Evelyn took a quick glance at Destiny before shaking her head. "No, they don't use howlers. They don't need to, to get their point across." Besides, they hated private matters leaking out to the public. However, there was no time to sit and ponder over the threats of the letter...

...Since she was being dragged away from a crazy chocaholic girl! "Alright! Alright." she said, standing up to make it a little easier for Destiny. And so her arm wasn't ripped out of it's socket. Smiling, she brushed any dirt off of her pants before grabbing her jacket and placing the brooch in her pocket.

The owerly so soon? Teehee. Perhaps things would get better. "C'mon."

Gold tucked a bang of dark-green hair, behind an ear, as she stepped into the corridor that led to the grounds. To be honest, she had no idea where she was headed to. She actually had no place to be, right now. So she had decided a breath of fresh air would do her some good.



She wanted her Mr. T.

Now.

Torin blinked as he watched Gold. Where had the dark green hair came from?

Maybe he was just imagining it was her, but it was someone that just looked like her. Because this girl didn't seem to be cheerful like Gold always was.

He decided to go up to her and see what was going on. He didn't like his Miss G sad. She was his bestie.

"Gold? Are you okay?" he asked as he walked up to her.

TORINTORIN!

Gold didn't even pounce on him. She just wrapped his arms around herself, and buried her head in his chest for the longest time on earth. "Dylan's back," she mumbled, her voice coming out all muffled. "He says he loves me. I don't love him." Lie. What a LIE. "I told him I'm not going to hurt Chris for him. Chris smells nice. Like soap."

She buried her head further into Torin's chest. "Everything was starting to get back to normal, Mr. T. Why did this have to happen?"

He was surprised when she wrapped his arms around her and buried her head into his chest. He wasn't even sure he heard what she was saying right.

Dylan was back? Denver was back?

"It will all be okay, Gold." He rubbed her back soothingly. "I'm here for you, love. Let's talk about this more. If you want to. We can also talk about something else." It didn't matter to him, he just wanted her to be happy. He understood what it was like to hurt. And he was sure that she still loved Dylan no matter what she said.

"It won't be okay," Gold said, her voice still coming out all muffled. Obviously, given that she had yet to remove her head from his chest. In fact, she kept burying it further, as if that would solve everything. Mr. T would help, wouldn't he? He was going to save her.

He had said he would protect her. She trusted him.

"He didn't even tell me, when he left. He just did. Left. I spent weeks trying to get over him, and when I finally move on, he comes back. Then he tells me he loves me, and that he wants me back. I don't want to go back to him." Did she? No, she couldn't. "I want to throw my new heels at his head, and shake him really, really hard."

He sighed and kept trying to comfort her. He wasn't totally sure what he could say to help her, but he would try.

"It will. It might not seem that way, but it will. I mean things worked out for me and Brody when we weren't sure that they would." But he wasn't going to dwell on that because he was focusing on her, not himself. But he wished that she would find happiness like he had.

"If you really like Chris, you should be with him no matter what Dylan says. And if you think it's best to avoid him, do that. If he tries bugging you, I can deal with him for you." He would do anything for Gold. He loved her so much.

And if she decided that she wanted to be with Dylan, he would stand behind her. He didn't care for Dylan overly, but if he made her happy he would be okay with it.

"Brody didn't leave Hogwarts," Gold said quietly, "Without so much as letting you know that she would be away." Then she added, "-- and it was her decision to break up with you. I never broke up with Dylan. I told him I wanted a break, because I wasn't well. I told him I wanted to get back together, later on. I --"

She paused.

"Forget it, Mr. T. Let's talk of something else. I'm going to be with Chris, and if Dylan wants to be friends, we can be that. If not, then not." It hurt her to say that. Hurt her more than she could put in words. But she wasn't going to even think that maybe she still felt for Dylan, much less admit that she might possibly still love him. He had hurt her, too much.

"I'm glad I have you."

"True. But we did have a lot of problems. And we did date other people while being in love with each other." One of said people being Gold, and another being Dylan. It was just so odd to think about right now.

He nodded as she wanted to change the subject. It was maybe good for them to do that because he knew deep down that she was in love with Dylan. If she hadn't been, this wouldn't be upsetting her so much.

"You always have me." And she knew that.

Gold sighed, not making any comment. She was happy Torin and Brody were together, but she didn't want to talk of her love life anymore. It was seriously, seriously a mess.

HUUUGE one.

"Of course." She removed her head from his chest, and smiled up at him. "You had better not leave me, either."

He smiled at her as he watched her. And he hated seeing her look sad, but he knew that she would be okay. She was a strong girl, gold was.

"Of course not. I love you." He kissed her forehead in a friendly way. And he knew that she would get that.

Aww. "I don't think you need Love 101, anymore," Gold chuckled, smiling up at him. WAIT A SECOND! "GOSH, Mr. T. Did you just grow taller?" Because he totally seemed taller. Gold didn't realize she wasn't wearing heels, right now. She usually did, but lately she had been wearing flats a lot.

But that tended to escape her. So she eyed him, wondering if he had grown taller. Could he ever stop growing?

And finally she said that. It took over a year, but she finally understood how amazing he was. "I never needed it. I was born with natural talents." And that was true because he said it was.

"Err, a little. Why?"

Hehehe. "I was joking, of course," Gold chuckled. "You didn't think I was serious, did you, Mr. T?" Bwaha! Gotcha, Mr. T, soooo got cha! Gold's smile widened, as she looked up at him. It was amazing, how much better TorinTorinTorin could make her feel.

Really.

"I don't know." She frowned, a bit. "You seem a lot taller, than the last time I saw you. How much have you grown?"

Eh.

He gasped as she told her that she was joking. And not only that, but she proceeded to laugh at him. "Is that so? Well, maybe you hurt my feelings and I want to go and lock myself in my Dorm now." He sniffled and nudged her a little. She was so evil sometimes. Why he loved her. hehe.

"I am taller. I'm like a giant now. You look like such a midget to me. Shorty." He ruffed her hair playfully.

Oops. "I sowwee?" Gold offered, making a variety of oh-so-cute faces at him, before stopping that. Because, you know, she and Mr. T were insane when together, but not every passer-by needed to know that. Though she wouldn't actually be surprised, if it was already common knowledge, by now. They both stood out, after all.

Hehe.

Eh? "I'm 5'8", for heaven's sake, Torin." She rolled her eyes. "If I get any taller, I'm going to especially get myself a lifetime supply of Shrinking Solution, and have a daily dose." She didn't want to be six feet! "YOU, as you have just admitted, are the big, bad giant. Down with you!"

Err. WELL!

"You should be sorry. I'm telling Brody on you." which was a lie because he didn't really care. And she wouldn't care if he told her because his girlfriend was mean like that. She was a mean girlfriend. hehe.

He snorted as she started going on about her height. She was so cute sometimes. "I know. I think you need some of that shrinking solution. You're going to hit being a giant yourself soon." Which would be pretty awesome, honestly. They could both be the giants of Hogwarts together. And no one else would be cool enough to join them. "I'm 6'6. You can't take me down." He stuck his tongue out at her.

"Brody loves me," Gold said, pouting. He could tell Brody, if he wanted to. But Brody already knew, how silly the two of them could be. Sooo, no problem. Bubbles!Brodeh would understand. She was the cute Powerpuff, after all. Thinking of which reminded her of Lori.

God, she missed Lor.

TWO SIXES! "That is sooo evil," Gold said, shaking her head. "I would rather be ten inches shorter than you, Mr. T. I like it that way." Sure, she was a midget compared to him, even more so without her heels [she still hadn't realized she wasn't wearing them], but what did that matter? It didn't make her any less awesome. She was Gold. Translation?

She = awesome.

She glanced at her wristwatch, and looked up at him. "I have to go meet Chris for a study-date," she said sheepishly. Great timing, eh? Dylan coming back, and Chris scheduling a study-date with her. Perfect. AND yes, the sarcasm was completely intended, there. Gold shook her head, at the thought. "I'll be off now, Mr. T. Love you."

She gave him a HUGE hug, before turning round and skipping away. Because, despite all the drama in her life, he had made her feel happy.

Thank God for Torin Kane.

"And she loves me too," he said with a grin. And it was true, because she loved him very much. Not that it would matter when he wouldn't tell her anyway. hehe.

And he liked her being shorter than him, because it made it easier for him to ruffle her hair if he wanted to. She had pretty hair. Yep.

"Later, Miss G. Have fun!" He wanted her to have a good time with Chris when she had been so sad and confused.

He squeezed her close for a moment before letting her go on her way.

Violet skipped along the corrider to the grounds. The sun was beating down on her light blonde hair and she continued to walk along.
