Sidney stops at the stone gargoyles. She takes out her camera and takes some pictures. I can't believe I am standing in front of the same gargoyles that let Harry Potter into Professor Dumbledore's office. They look remarkably well considering how old they are. Sidney cannot help herself. She has to touch them. "Lemon Drop!" Sidney says. The gargoyles do not move an inch. I doubted it would be the password, but I couldn't resist saying it. This is so exciting. I wonder if Professors Dumbledore and Snape's portraits greet you when you enter. Of course Phineas Nigellus will not say a word. He will be pretending to be sleeping.

Tate appeared at the bottom of the stairs and glanced at those who were waiting. Wow. There was a line. A LINE. Crazy.

"Next? You can come on up."

Sidney follows the headmaster up the stairs. Her heart is pounding in her chest. She is so excited.

Daniel nodded and stood besides the two gargoyle entrance to the Office of the Headmaster. He had been here once or twice but he never really saw anything that changed inside. He whispered, Sherbet Lemon.

He hoped the stone statues would move but he failed.

Tate followed the Hufflepuff girl back down the stairs and held the gargoyle for the next in line. "Next. You can follow me, please."

Sidney turns around and watches the headmaster and the Gryffindor boy walk up the stairs to Tate's office. Sidney's appraisal of the new headmaster. Strange, definitely weird, intense, must drink too much coffee, or a chocoholic. Definitely all of the above. She can't understand why he kept her camera. One think is certain. Sidney will not be going back to Tate's office until the end of the term. Surely he would let her have her camera back to take home. Sidney is sure she will probably have some interesting photographs of Headmaster Tate. His ego would never allow him to take a picture of anything else. Well, I guess I'd better start looking for this massive conspiracy Headmaster Tate is sure is going to happen this term. I wonder is Professor Lawson might like some company. At least he acts like a normal, resonably well adjusted professor. Sidney makes her way down the hall.

Alessia approached the gargoyles and as a force of habit spoke the password that had been in place when Pepe had been headmaster. "Merlin's Lab Coat!" She said grumbling and kicked one of the gargoyles... "Ouch!" She said exasperated. What was Tate's password? She had completely forgotten it! "TATE!!!" She screamed at the door, and then she saw the student waiting to go in. "I mean... Headmaster Tate?" She called softer now... and smiled at the Hufflepuff.

Tate appeared as his gargoyles moved away from the doorway. There she was... Alessia Lupa, professor, werewolf, tantrum-thrower to the extreme.

"Professor Lupa. A little decorum, if you please. You may enter."

Decorum? He was one to speak! But she followed him to his office.

Violet waited outside the stone gargoyles. She was finnaly going to meet the new Headmaster she heard rumours but chose not to believe them until she met him face to face.

Professor Valon Kazimeriz slowly made his way up to what he presumed was still his office. The 104 year old man leaned upon his cane as he shuffled over to the stone gargoyle, nodding to the waiting student. "I shall be with you in a few moments." he said gruffly. The castle had not been as accommodating to his needs as had anticipated -- certainly not working with him as it had at the end of previous term. It gave him pause, and made him quite irritable. He did not like it when things did not work as they should.

Approaching the stone gargoyle, he set down his satchel. He raised his wand, casting as he muttered the password he had given to Max as his new password: "Fuzzy bunnies."

Nothing happened.

Irritated further still, he sighed and tried again. "Fuzzy. BUNNIES."

Nothing.

Obviously his Deputy Headmaster, Max Vindictus, had not bothered to reset the password.... Likely he was too busy with his head in the clouds. Athletes. Feh. he thought. On a whim, he tried a few potential passwords that the flyboy might choose: "Quidditch God." Nothing. "Bronzed Adonis." Nada. "Brains on Brooms." Noooope. So much for trying to think like Max...

Sighing, he conjured his qilin patronus to send a message to Maximus. The great silver beast chuffed impatiently as he spoke the message:

"Maximus, it seems you have neglected to reset the password to my office as I requested. Please report to my office gargoyle at once to address the issue." The qilin nodded once and galloped off, up THROUGH the gargoyle. At least that meant Max was in the office. The wait should not be long.

But ah, he hated to wait. Annoyed beyond measure, he shifted impatiently. Might as well address the student's needs... He turned to the young Slytherin.

"And to what do I owe this visit?" he asked a bit testily.

The gargoyles leaped aside, and Tate appeared in the entrance to his office.

With Vindictus at his back, Tate trusted that he was safe. Mostly safe. Yes. "Professor Kazimeriz. It's a pleasure to see you again. If you'll just come up to the Headmaster suite, we'd like to speak with you."

What on earth was this young man doing here? Kazimeriz looked at him, absolutely baffled. He vaguely recognized the man, and stood there for a few minutes, scanning his memory, trying to remember.... Tate. One of the Tate boys, but drat it all, he couldn't remember the first name. Maybe he was a ministry worker? That would make sense... checking in on how Max had been running the school in his absence. Yes, that had to be it.

"Of course, Mr... Tate, isn't it? I do believe I had you in my classes; that was many a year ago, of course." he said pleasantly, beginning to slooooooowly ascend the stairs at a turtle's pace.

Tate stepped out of the way for Kazimeriz before swiftly following him up the stairs.

Dani needed to talk to the Headmaster. She was very upset. What kind of DADA professor made students torture innocent creatures with illegal curses? It was horrible. "Hello." She said politely to the gargoyles and then stood there, impatiently switching from foot to foot.

Violet watched as the professor walked in and the gargoyles closed again "Seriously!?" said Violet knocking at the gargoyles again. She had to be waiting forever

Sapphyre sighed in relief as she finally spotted Violet. Running up to her, she sighed. "Some Hufflepuff... Kat or something..? She sent me to tell you that she'll meet you by the Front Gates.. To talk about Marie."

Tate poked his head out the door, leaving it open for whoever was next in line. "Yes, next?"

Violet went up to the Stone Gargoyles for the second time this year. She remembered the long wait last time, but she chose to just ignore it. She knocked on the stone gargoyles and waited.

Lina made her way to the stone gargoyle, thinking about everything. She was getting tired of her classes as they were, and was hoping the headmaster would grant her request. She made her presence known, then went to have a seat to wait.

Jenny followed the other girls, and tapped a gargoyle.

Sidney makes her way to the entrance to the headmaster's office. It seems like a lifetime since she was last here, so much has happened in between. Sidney has to admit she's happy to see this term come to an end. She hopes there will be less mayhem next year. All in all I'm going to hate to see Headmaster Tate leave. I imagine he will be glad to be away from all us children. I don't think he's very fond of us at all. Sidney looks at the gargoyles for a moment and wonders if she should just forget about her camera. Her last visit with the Headmaster was hardly friendly. It's my camera, and he should give it back no matter what his reasons for taking it. I'm not the innocent young thing I was at the beginning of the term. I can do magic, and I'm not afraid of him. Okay, I'm still afraid of him, but I'm not going to back down this time. Sidney smiles at the gargoyles and waits for the Headmaster to let her in.
