Default Professor Vindictus's Office

You knock on the door and hear a deep voice beckoning you inside. Once inside, you are greeted by various portraits of Quidditch greats of years' past and present. The largest of the portraits is that of the man sitting behind a massive mahogany desk - Professor Maximus O. Vindictus, a legend in his own right (and some would argue, mind). His blonde hair, twinkling blue eyes, and gleaming smile are unmistakable, and you realize you are in the presence of a professional athlete and celebrity who even managed to find the time to pursue university degrees as seen by the two large, framed diplomas that hang proudly on the wall. Looking around the room, you begin to notice overstuffed navy blue leather couches that flank the coffee table by the fire. Various Quidditch magazines and books lay on the coffee table, as does a bowl of chocolate frogs. On each side of the fireplace, are two trophy cases - the hardware inside gleaming after a good polishing.

The door to the office is closed and locked. You will need to knock and wait for Professor Vindictus to allow you inside.

Torin didn't really have much else to add here, seeing as he didn't know as much about all this as Miles did. But he knew about the DADA Professor. "Well, the DADA Professor teaching about the Unforgivables and the Headmaster not really taking serious action against it. That is odd too." Though he knew not to say too much against the Headmaster.

It was true though. The Professor should have gotten into trouble.

Vindictus ignored the two prefects for several minutes as he jotted down everything so that he could deliver it to Tate. "Headmaster Tate is concerned about everyone's safety," he finally replied and folded the note. "Now if you boys will excuse me, I need to deliver this note to the headmaster and then get over to the Practice Pitch for the flying lesson."

He abruptly stood up and walked over to the door. "If you see anything else, please let me know," he said as he held open the door. "Don't be afraid to interrupt the lesson if its urgent."

Later that week....

Max was sitting at his desk reviewing some literature he was owled regarding a summer youth Quidditch camp. In short, the group hosting the camp wanted HIM to teach the students the game. Don't they understand that I WANT and NEED my summer holiday break? He was about to pick up a quill and place it to parchment when a silvery scorpion zoomed into his office and landed on his desk.

And then it spoke . . . in Cela's voice.

It was total nonsense. Nothing made sense at all (but seriously, the Ravenclaw prefect had been acting rather odd all term), but it was her voice . . . coming from the ghostly insect.

"Why in Merlin's great warty nose a poisonous bug, Cela? WHY?"

Without a moment to lose, Vindictus lept out of his desk chair armed with his wand and ran out the door.
