She had woken up late and taken her time feeding Perseus. Breakfast wasn't nearly as long as she would like it to be.So she draged her feet to HoM,making sure to get lost along the way. And yet she was still early. As she walked into the classroom she took a deep sigh. This was not a class that she was looking forward too. She loved preforming magic, but talking about it was a diffrent story. Taking a seat in the middle she placed her bag on the desk and slowly began to take out her books. Once finished she poped a piece of gum in her mouth and gave a small smile to the professor, "Hello."

Jake came trailing into the classroom dragging his bag along behind him and with one hand in his pocket. The boy gave the professor a vague noise of acknowledgement as he went to sit down, wondering what the lesson might be like.

Swinging the bag around so it landed on the table with a loud THUMP, Jake sat at one of the desks, staring around the room. Eee, circles meant he could see everyone... but also that everyone could see him.

Man.

Still, he had to keep of his good History of Magic grades, since it was probably his best subject consistently.

Fred hesitantly made his way down to 1st floor for History of Magic. As he entered the room he saw a familiar sight of desks in a circle but that did not help his nerves knowing this is a History class. He gulped as he saw the proffessor, took his seat, and waited for more people to arrive and class to begin.

Ok so he was onto his next lesson. History of Magic. He entered the class, and took a seat. He didn't even know his teacher. Interesting.

Kat skipped her wsy to the HoM classroom. As she entered she looked at the professor and smiled. "Hello!!" She said and made her way to a seat. Once in her seat she took out a parchment and started doodling waiting for the class to begin.

Destiny was not very fond of History of Magic. It involved too much writing and, well, she just didn't like to write. Now that Truebridge was fired she had no idea who would be teaching this subject. She just hoped it wasn't anyone like the new DADA Professor. He scared her.

Oh, phew! No one scary, only Professor Svensson. What. A. Relief. 'Hellooo, professor.' she smiled at him as she took a seat. Why was he pacing!? He was making Destiny dizzy.

Barry sighed. History of Magic. Most boring lesson ever! All he had ever done was sit and talk about goblins. It had started to get fun with Truebridge around but now that he was gone it would be back to its boring self.

Oh wait a second, why were they sitting in a circle? Circles were bad. The teacher could see you and you couldn`t go slumping off to the back to doodle. He would see what they were doing. Smart teacher.

Barry took a seat on the desk directly oppisite the teachers desk, making him the furthest away. He took out his things and sat waiting for class to begin, giving Jake a little nod.

Quite literally, Ian McKensie stumbled inside the History of Magic classroom. Cheeks slightly flushed in embarrassment, and grumbling something unintelligibly under his breath, the boy bent down to tie his shoe laces. Straightening once he'd finished, he said a cheerful, "Hey, sir!" To the unknown professor, and did not think much of the seating arrangements as he claimed a desk..

Honestly.

Hogwarts was full of The Weird.

Nmyphy walked in and immediatly walked over to the professor and said, "Hello, my name is Nymphy and I am soooooo excited for oyur class. I was quite good at Muggle history. You know, things like facts, figures, and dates just click with me. I just cannot wait to start." he said smiling, and all very fast. He reached out his hand to shake the professor's.

Guh, another professor who now all of a sudden taught a different subject. Well, at least it was Svensson and not somekind of creepy new professor. Still, she was going to miss Truebridge. And above all, Ashby. Which was sort of off-topic right now, though.

With a sigh Nancy entered the History of Magic classroom and with a smile directed at the professor greeted him, "Good day, Professor Svensson." Hopefully this would be an interesting lesson. HoM could be quite boring at times.

...at most times, actually.

Quickly taking a random seat without even looking next to whom she had placed her behind Nancy reached down to retrieve a piece of parchment and her quill from her bag.

Now, it was wait. Wait for something to happen.

It was time.

Svensson picked a slip of parchment with the bulk of his notes written on it and carried it to the board. He glanced at the first line of notes written on it and turned to face the class. Well, some of the class. Some of them had their backs turned to him. Maybe he should have waited to arrange the desks in a circle until later. Or maybe he should stand in the middle of the circle? No, then he would have his back to some of them. This way, if they really wanted to look at him, they could turn around.

"Good afternoon," Svensson said with a smile after he waited for everyone to sit down. "Welcome to History of Magic." He took a deep breath before beginning his first spiel. "As wizards--and witches--our community as a whole has more history than most single persons would think to study in a lifetime. Luckily for me, this means I have no shortage of material to teach you. Which means, of course, that we shouldn't waste time talking about things irrelevant to what we'll be studying today or letting our class be disrupted. I hope you'll agree."

Lars scratched his chin and stepped away from the board, walking toward the circle of desks. He had just changed his mind--he would not write anything on the board yet. Instead, he walked between the desks, not stopping for anything more than a brief pause.

"What do you guys know... about goblins?"

Dylan raised his hand, "Goblins look after the Bank in London."

"They run Gringotts!" Ian said from his seat, with his hand in the air. "They are not very friendly, and ... uh, intimidate me a little bit."

More like scared the chimaeras out of him, but never mind that.

Miranda was doodling on her notebook, but stopped and looked up as the professor began to talk.

Hmmm...Goblins... Miranda raised her hand. "Sir, Goblins have their own language called Gobbledegook..." Hehe.

What did Destiny know about Goblins? Besides that they scare her and her grandmum looks like one? Better not say that.

'Aren't they like really smart?' She asked raising her hand of course. Goblins were Ravenclaw smart.

Raising his hand, Jake tried his best not to repeat what anyone else had said, but you know... his attention span was BLAH and he was quite slow... oh well.

"They had ep-ep-epic wuhh-wars," he offered, letting his hand drop back down.

New class. History of Magic. Ooh fun, she thought sarcastically. She sat there with a half bored expression on her face. No, she would be enthusiastic. First question? Goblins. Write that down on parchment in front of her. She raised her hand and began. "Goblins sir, guard and run Gringotts. They're remarkably clever and can preform magic us wizards can't. They also make incredible metal or jewelry. They speak their own language called Gobbledegook," she said, basing it on all of the facts she had learned or new already. Hopefully this would be an appropriate answer.

Nancy blinked a few times at the professor's introductory words. Oooohkay Yes, of course she agreed. Whatever.

Quickly raising her hand Nancy thought of something which was more related to History of Magic than the fact that the goblins ran Gringotts. "Uhm...there were several Goblin Rebellions, Sir." I think...

Dalanie walked into the classroom and took a seat. She couldn't wait for the lesson to start.

Ema bit her lip. What did she know about goblins? Well, they freaked her out a bit. She panicked about the day she would run into one in a dark alley way. Because IT COULD HAPPEN!!

Ema shrugged and raised her hand. Why not? He had asked. She would answer the best she could. "Goblins areeee a huge part of magical history, Professor. All kinds of wars and policies and stuff. They also, err - should not be under estimated at all." True dat, paddy-whack! "And I also know that they really aren't too much like the muggle 'fairy-tale' goblins." she thought for a moment. Wasn't there something else? Oh yeah. "They're involved in a lot of stuff now, and no longer are we supposed to see them as creatures...right? Don't they...abide by the same laws and have the same priveliges as wizards and witches?" ...or was that something else?

Meh. That was what she knew. Or thought she knew.

Fred quickly raised his hand, this was a subject he knew a little about so he answered, "Goblins are small human like creatures with long pointy ears, they have their own language called Gobbledegook and they are very clever, they can do their own type of magic different from that of ours but they are not allowed to use a wand due to decree of 1631 of the Ministry of Magic preventing all beings besides witches and wizards from using a wand.".

Lars tilted his head to consider that suggestion. "I've never heard of goblins in general being exceptionally smart, but I'm sure there are smart goblins and goblins of average intelligence, just as there's a variety of intellect among humans," he said.

Voila! There was the answer Svensson needed to move on to the next topic. "Very good, Jack--Jake!" he exclaimed. "In the past, goblins have--and probably with good reason--rebelled against the magical community."

He paused to let anyone who was taking notes write that down, then asked another question. "Can anyone tell me when the first goblin rebellion was?"

Daphne tilted her head, listening to her companions speak. They were all right, of course. There was a lot of things to be said about Goblins. "They aren't classified as creatures," she interjected, hearing a girl bring up the topic. "Or more accurately, beasts. I think they're actually considered to be beings since they are able to communicate with us humans."

The class moved on and the blond quickly shut her mouth. The question had caught her off-guard and she had no time to think about a proper answer. Surely, someone was going to spit it out in less than a second anyways.

Thalia thought about that question and raised her hand. "Wasn't it around 1612 sir? I know one of them is around that time," she mused, dropping her hand and shaking her head slightly.
