“They do, mostly with something called elect-trancy.” Alright, Daisy’s strengths did not lay in Muggle Studdies. Giver the girl a break. After all, who would know anything about muggles with the folks she had?

“You’ll get your class assignments tomorrow. Some will start, some maybe Tuesday s and Thursday or every other Wednesday night.” Daisy loved that she didn’t have to go to the same class every single day.
The girl’s reaction to Daisy’s joke about her best friend didn’t go over well. Daisy shrugged it off though. Vivianne might find it funny that a firstie was scared of her. “New? Well, we’ll have a new Astronomy Professor this year…” what else should she tell them? [i]No, just leave it at that. They don’t need to know (if they don’t know already) that at least one of the professors gets really really hairy once a month.

Jack shrugged. "Ehh, Vindictus can be strict at times, but he is SOOOO cool. And a Quidditch legend!" he exclaimed with a grin. "I doubt he can do anything about it...after all, if it was in Diagon Alley, you weren't even at school yet so how can he punish you?" he said, trying to make Rafe cheer up a bit. Jack wouldn't tell him that, if Vindictus was REALLY serious about his threat, he could easily just deduct points for something silly, like walking too slow, and getting revenge that way. It was the unfortunate advantage they had over the students. He doubted it, though--Vindictus wasn't normally one to hold a grudge, right? He hoped so.

He blinked and stared as Rafe went on a little tangent and started speaking German. Blink blink. Jack laughed and shook his head. "Dude, I have no idea what you just said. I recognized 'ich' and that's I, right?" he said with a laugh. Aww, Jack really wished he was bilingual now.

"Shakespeare, in another LANGUAGE?" he asked. He had heard of the muggle bloke in tights in Muggle Studies class and tried to read a bit of it, but Shakespeare could HARDLY be considered English. "Blimey, I have enough issues reading him in english!" he chuckled. "I guess it all paid off, though, right? Since you're like...heptalingual?"

Jack looked up as one of his Quidditch players, Selena, wandered over and sat down. Whoaaa, Jack felt so POPULAR today! "Hey Selena!" he said with a grin. "Pretty good summer, went to Italy--and the black eye is compliments of Cameron Karsten and his punching telescope," he grumbled, glancing over at the Slytherin table again. Psychotic child.

He laughed at Josh, the newcomer and shook his head. "Nah, they're not bad at all really. I think you'll find that even classes here can hardly be considered DULL," he added with a small smirk. Seriously, Hogwarts wasn't boring at all! What with mermaids attacking and people turning into animals or secret societies meeting up...oh yeah, not a dull moment to be found!

Jack nodded at Vaughn and smiled. "Yup, looks like we will!" he replied. He KNEW this dude couldn't have been younger than him. "Sweden, huh? That's cool! And don't worry, I'm sure you'll fit in nicely here at Hogwarts," he assured him with a head nod. "There is soooo much going on all the time...I really think you'll like it here," he added with a smile. He could tell that this dude was really uncomfortable being the new kid--he kind of reminded him of himself last year, when he was still a loner and had issues talking to people.

As the conversation slowed, Jack looked around and spotted another girl that he wasn't sure he recognized--what was UP with all these new people? He could catch germs from shaking this many hands! He noticed her sit down near by and waved at her happily. "Hi! I'm Jack...Jack Fritzera, Quidditch Captain," he explained, holding out a hand for her to shake. All these new faces were SO EXCITING!

“Oh! A new Astronomy Professor for this year. Then this might be his first year too”. Hope he’s not the boring, because if he is I’m gonna sleep at once.

Gryffindor... The word rang in Song's ears. Gryffindor emphasises the traits of courage as well as "daring, nerve and chivalry", and thus its members are generally regarded as brave, though sometimes to the point of recklessness. She thought twice about telling the Sorting Hat he was wrong and slipped off the stool, making her way hurriedly towards her house table. Brave? As if. She couldn't even say hello to her fellow housemates without her legs turning to jelly. It was plain and obvious that the Sorting Hat had got it very wrong indeed. She'd be better off in Hufflepuff.

Feeling the sweat form on her the surface of her palms, she scanned the bench for a seat, preferably one far away from anyone else as possible. But then he eyes caught a familiar face, one of a Prefect she'd met during the train journey. Swallowing nervously, and hoping he wouldn't mind if the measley, bespectacled girl from the train came and sat with him, she began to move forwards, keeping her gaze fixed firmly on the floor until she reached him. He hand reached for his shoulder. Wow. He was talking to a lot of people. She immediately regretted her decision and took a step back. Why was she so stupid? Biting her lip, she took another step in the oppisite direction, towards an empty seat where she could mope all by herself. Perfect.

Yeah. Right.

Ariana approached the table hesitantly, she wasn't sure if she could go there during dinner, but she wanted to say hi to Rafe, and after all there was a Hufflepuff on her table as well. She looked over the table until she spotted him, she walked slowly and then pounced on him " HEIAAAAAA" she said in a high girlish voice.

Her robes had now the Slytherin crest on them, shinning.

"I've been watching you from my table.. nice glasses dude!" she said mockingly " How are you?! I looked everywhere for you, but I couldn't find you at the train!"

Emma was so happy that she was in Gryffindor. She smiled on everyone, sat down and took a lot of food from plates. It was surprising that plates were still full. Unfortunately, Emma was too lazy to read some books about Hogwarts, so everything surprised her.
"Hi.." she turned to the nearest person, "can you please say me how it works here? I mean, I´m not sure if I´ll find our Common Room or classes.. Oh sure, if you know," she added and took another food.
"My parents will be confused," Emma said in amusement, "they couldn´t understand why I would like to be in Gryffindor - they are Muggles, you know - so probably I should just tell them that I´m in the best one," continued and laughed.

A smile constantly adorned Sloane's features as student after student was sorted into his or her house. The sorting feast was, without a doubt, just the thing to get you into the Hogwarts mood. And, it seemed, Gryffindor was making out well, as per usual. As one of the first years turned to speak to her, she shifted her attention to the young girl and listened politely. "Oh, no worries. The prefects will help all the first years out with the common room and basically everything you would need to know," Sloane affirmed with a nod. "And if you have any further trouble finding classes or anything, just ask someone. I'll help you out, and I'm sure most of the other kids around here will do the same." She smiled again. Of course Gryffindor was the best of the houses. Well.. then again, Sloane was rather biased, wasn't she? "Your parents will be happy as long as you are, right? Although I would have to agree.. Gryffindor tops all the rest," she finished with a quick wink at the girl.

Only then did it occur to Sloane that she didn't even ask for the new Gryffindor's name. Oh well. Better late than never, she supposed. "I'm Sloane Jackson. Sixth year," she introduced. "And you?"

Alex turned a little in her seat, a wide smile on her face as she saw the Quidditch Captain.. The very handsome Quidditch Captain turn to her and smile and start talking. "Hello Jack! It is nice to meet you, I am Alexandrina Kensington.. Alex, or whatever you feel like calling me for short.." She said grinning up at him as she stuck her small hand out and shook his. "So many new people.." She said as she looked around.

"Emma Love. Stupid name. First year, apparently," said Emma with a grin on her face.
"Really, thank you. I´d be totally lost without people like you. I don´t know how I did that, but I lost in the Train, I went to buy something to eat and puff," she indicated a little explosion with her hands, "I didn´t know where I should go. Well, after half an hour I found my compartment. Aggh, too much talking about me. So you will finish this school soon, don´t you?"
In Emma´s face appeared a curious expression. "And what happened in past years? I mean, did the Chamber of Secrets open again?" she smiled.
She knew this part of Hogwarts´ history, the only part of the book, which she has read.

"Aww," Sloane's features softened at the sound of her name. "That's sweet. Everyone I've been talking to lately has the most amazing names." How could the girl not like the last name 'love'? Girls around here would probably give up their entire wardrobe for a name like that.

As Emma recounted her experience with the train, Sloane nodded appropriately and listened as she straightened out the wrinkles traced on her skirt. "I suppose the train can be rather confusing to first years, especially because you're all so nervous already." She pondered the thought for a moment before the topic of conversation switched once again. "More like what hasn't happened here." She laughed slightly. "We've had everything from floods to werewolves. You name it, we've had it here at Hogwarts."

Bah, he wanted to know EVERYTHING that was going on with Sylvia. 'How're you finding Hogwarts so far? Did you meet any cool people? Should I ask about any ...guys already?' Cue eyebrow wiggle. 'AND, do I dare ask. What house you were sorted in? Sorry, I missed the sorting.' Fingers crossed, Terry would be fine with any house but Slytherin. Surely he couldn't be the sole outsider still!!

'YAYYYY,' Terry cheered, an infectious grin dancing on his lips. 'Even if you hated it, I would have to insist on calling you by it, I'm afraid.' He stuck his tongue out teasingly. Woot, he couldn't believe Sylvia was finally at Hogwarts! Maybe they'd even have some lessons together. :3

'Naaaaaaaaaah, Miles was always the oldest, even if it was only by a couple months. And Hugo, bless him! He's the youngest of us four, so he's in 6th year now. Evee, Miles and I could never stop teasing him enough over it, haha.' He tilted his head at Sylvia's last statement, looking a little surprised, 'You call her Vanessa too? Whoa, and here I thought I was the only one. Everyone joked about it enough!' Uhoh, he was side-tracking again. 'Anywho, Vanessa and Miles are still going strong then? That's goooood.' Well, they had been when he'd last talked to Miles as well, but he hadn't mentioned anything as permanent as an apartment together just yet. 'I'll HAVE to tell him to get an apartment near Hogwarts! And then we can terrorise him and Vanessa in the middle of the night, haha, does that sound like a plan?'

james was'nt sure if he would be aloud to sit at gryiffindor table but he did'nt really no anyone in ravenclaw that well and had'nt seem ella today, so he continued to talk down the table looking for her hoping he did'nt seem like a loser

Ella grinned widely at the sight of James. "Heyyy!" she yelled, then gestured for him to sit next to her. It all looked so good, but she had to take care of her figure. She wasn't all that without even trying, you know. Hehehe.

james heard ella yell at he an he rushed towards her, " it all looks so good i just can't decied what to have!!" said james "so are you having fun so far?"

Anna sat at the end of the table. She looked a bit across the room toward the Ravenclaw table. That was where Akihiko was. Now she was alone again. She looked down at the table , knowing that this was going to be a quiet dinner.

Wow. Werewolves. Cool. Emma´s mouth was slightly open, while Sloane talked. When she realised that, she shut it.
"Wow.. I will learn some spells AND I will have fun with adventures! This is much better than Muggle school!" she said happily and took a piece of a pumpkin pie.
"Do you know how long does this ceremony take? I mean, I really enjoy it, but I´m looking forward to the classes sooo much," Emma said slowly and yawned widely.
´I need sleep, soon, or I´ll fall asleep here´ She thought.

Ella scoffed. "Fun? Barely. I'm not in any of my friends' houses! That really sucks. Guess I'll have to make those robe copies pretty soon," she snickered.

Em listened as LouAnn explained about her "late" arrival to Hogwarts. She was very intrigued to hear about someone being homeschooled."I'm excited to be in Gryffindor too," Em agreed. "Can we ever be considered normal?" Em chuckled.

That won't be a problem, Ella thought. She was a whiz at making friends. "Haha sure, let's head over to the Ravenclaw table to meet them!" Ella grinned happily, then linked arms with him and walked over to the blue and silver striped people chatting merrily.

"Elect-trancy?" Ellie said curiously. "What is that??" As she made her way through her potatoes and vegetables and crumpets, Ellie groaned slightly at the thought of homework. Yes, this eager little eleven-year-old did not like homework. She wanted to spend her free time exploring the castle. But, she loved the idea of classes. She had read all her books, so if they were going to test them, she would be ready. "I can't wait to start them!" she sighed. "Oh, what about Hogsmeade?" This question suddenly popped into her mind, as she recalled talking to her friend Vicky in Ravenclaw, who was a second year, and had said she had been to Hogsmeade. "Do first years get to go?"

Being the patient, although sometimes oblivious, person she was, LouAnn just simply sat and waited for Vaughn to continue their conversation. His reply sort of reminded LouAnn of her own life story---moving from school to school and not really being sure of what would happen next. "Sweden sounds nice. I've never been there before, though," she remarked. "What'd you have to move for?" She didn't really think about the fact that he might not want to tell her so many details about his life. She was just making innocent conversation.

Hmm...a few things about being a lady. "Like what,?" LouAnn wondered. She didn't ask, though. Daphne had seemed a bit reluctant to even answer her question in the first place. There was that little pause after 'Celandine and I', like Daphne was debating on whether or not to actually finish her answer. "Oh, well, that sounds interesting. I'm glad you had fun---and that there was a ball." Daphne and Cela were the kind of girls LouAnn sort of wished she'd click with. They seemed so interesting and always full of adventure. Not that LouAnn wasn't either of those two things, but...she just couldn't help but feel like she didn't seemed interesting at all to other people.

LouAnn laughed lightly at Em's question about ever being considered normal. What was normal anyway? Someone who didn't change their last name every two years? Probably so. No, LouAnn---or, LouAnn's life rather---would probably never be considered normal, not by any definition of the word. Would LouAnn try her hardest to make it as normal as she possibly could, though? Of course she would! "Hmm...sure, I think so," she answered. "So, Em, what'd you do this summer?"

Alexandra let Tori lead the way, hopefully she wasn't as she as she and would take the lead... Alexandra was scared witless.

"Sitting, dancing, manners, speech, that sort of thing," answered Daphne quickly, her eyes seeking out her best friend in the distant table. So many new Ravenclaws from what she could tell.

Not that she knew them all. That was Celandine's job. "I think I'm going to find Cela," added the blond quickly and almost stood up. Blinking, though, she smiled at LouAnn. "Do you want to come with me? Or you can stay here and get to know more Gryffindors. I don't mind."

"Thanks, I'm Lacey. Sweet, being Qudditch Captain must be cool. Do you know what baseball is? It's a muggle game, but I wanted to see if there is anyone else that knows the game." Lacey said. She always had an intrest in sports. From baseball to surfing. She know almost every single one of them.
