Corridors are for going between one place and another whether with a friend or significant other.

"Ugh! I can't believe you did that! I told you not to go near the ink bottles and what do you do?! You go near the ink bottles! The entire Arithmancy notes from last class, ruined!" Huffing from both frustration and exersion Lasca trudged down the corridor toward the Library. A small kitten trailed in her wake giving small mewling sounds from time to time. Her hope was that using her book and the soothing enviornment of the Library would jog her memory enough to remember what they had gone over in Arithmancy.

"Meeeooowww." Tundra weaved quickly between her legs and purred. "Oh don't you try to butter me up, you in trouble."

Nancy was wandering the corridors of Hogwarts all on her own and once again had absolutely no clue which corridor she was in exactly. Not even close. And what was even worse she had not exactly seen Steven that frequently this term, however she wasn't completely sure if she should confront him with this Anna thingy or not. It would be something to have against him after all. Hehe...

So there she was, leaning against a nearby wall to clear her head to a) figure out which floor she was on and b) how to proceed with this whole confusing business. Her blue eyes fixed on a random portrait Nancy simply stood there staring off into nothingness, hoping somebody would actually find her to save her. Or at least show her the way to the Slytherin Common Room.

"Baby?" Came a questioning call from the other end of the corridor. The footsteps sounded like they were coming closer, and the heavy tread and the original voice pointed out that it was a man walking towards Nancy. Steven, to be exact. "Are you okay? I've just been searching for you..."

The fifth year brunet stopped infront of his girlfriend and looked around looking more than a little confused. "Baby, why are you standing alone in a random fourth floor corridor?" He said as he ran his fingers through her hair to move it away from her face. He gave her a large smile as he said, "hi."

Nancy's head jerked out of its trance-like state as the echo of footsteps reached her ears, and upon listening closer she realized that whoever it was he/she was approaching her corridor, and fast. Blue eyes searching the direction the footsteps were coming from for the approaching somebody she pushed herself off the wall to be ready for whoever it was. After all, it could be Kazi. Shudder.

And then there he was. The somebody she was undecided about wanting to see. Steven. What would she say? Nothing probably. She would just act like everything was alright. He would at least help her out of this corridor and probably accompany her back to the Common Room. "Hey." Nancy more whispered than said as she glanced up at the tall brown-haired boy in front of her. "I'm...good. Just lost." She gave a little laugh as she quickly stood on her tiptoes to plant a small kiss on his cheek.

Steven frowned gently. "Are you sure? I've hardly seen you since school started up again..." He paused and licked his lips nervously. "Are you sure you are okay? Are we okay?" He asked, his forehead creasing at the thought of not dating the gorgeous Slytherin in front of him. That thought just wasn't worth thinking about. Nope, not at all.

However much he thought this conversation was better suited to a private room, he didn't want to suggest going back to the Common room. This corridor was probably way more private than that room. The Great Hall was probably the only place worse if he was honest with himself. So, no, they would stay here (unless Nancy wanted to move) until he found out what was wrong with his girlfriend.

Professor Kazimeriz made his way down the corridor, heading toward the library. He leaned on his cane as he shuffled down the corridor, his head down and his shoulders slumped. The tall man's face was drawn, his eyebrows furrowed. He looked like a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders, and his face had taken on that odd, falling away look of a very old man in possibly failing health.

A small pinkish-tinged silver figure wandered down the hallway, teetering occasionally and sniffing back and forth. It seemed to hurry a little as Kazimeriz came towards it, but instead of halting, ran smack into the man's cane. The patronus shook its head, and sat up on tiny haunches.

"Um, Professor K, sire? Sir," the rodent faltered in the voice of Constantino Kolytiris. "Celandine Toussaint has hurt her arm in Astronomy, not looking at stars or anything sir, but I don't know how, and anyway, it's sort of crooked, and the nurse is busy giving Mister--Lord Borr cookies, so she wants you, if you could help. Only she thinks you're going to yell so if you decide to come, could you not yell? We're in the first floor corridor, on the floor. Thank you. Sir. Amen."

The patronus bowed several times towards the statue on Kazimeriz's right, just before dissipating into thin air.

Rafe was leaving the library after he finished up some homework. He was reading over his homework and bumped into someone. "Oy!" he shouted.

"Oh, Professor Kazimeriz, I'm so sorry, I didn't...Are you alright?" Rafe asked at the more feeble looking man. He hadn't entirely made up his mind on how he felt about this professor. "Was everything okay after Runes class? You sort of just left. I thought we were to meet you after class." Rafe didn't really want to bring up the matter again, his concer was more for the man in front of him. "Can I help you in anyway?" Rafe slipped his parchement back in his satchel and patted the professor on the slouched shoulder.

Kazimeriz sighed a little, inwardly wishing a little that the students had not gotten quite so good at patronus messages. It was his own fault, he presumed. He turned and headed toward the first floor.

"Everything is fine. I am on my way to help Miss Toussaint, who has somehow injured herself. I... if you like, you may accompany me. I believe we have a small matter to discuss anyway, do we not?" Kazimeriz raised an eyebrow, walk-shuffling again.

"Well, that Theo kid was out of line," Rafe said angrily as he stared at the ground as he walked. "He had no right to say those things!" Rafe clenched his fists at his side. "I know I should have let Professor Lupa handle it and I was out of line, but I'm never been so angry in my entire life! I have never heard someone speak of a...someone like the professor like that. It's absolutely disgusting. My mum warned me of people like him, but I didn't want to believe it." Rafe just didn't understand it. In a way he was mad at his mum. She didn't really prepare him, his whole life he was surrounded by open people, it wasn't until he came to Hogwarts that he experienced such ignorance.

"You will of course run across people with prejudices, even in our world this is true. It is only natural; people fear what is different, and what they do not understand. You must learn to approach these people with patience, for when you show a display of aggression or temper you are only validating their low expectations of you."

He turned and went to the staircase, slowly heading down to the third floor corridor.

Relaxing her rather stiff composure again as after all it had not been Kazi Nancy leaned back again against the wall behind her. Somehow she seemed to be a bit paranoid lately, probably due to all this Kazi/Kiri/Lannes business. She expected Kazi to pop up anytime and everywhere. And trust me this was horrible! But right at that moment, there with Steven, she was quite glad that Kazi had ordered them to babysit Lannes as it was something she could say to calm down Steven. "Yeah, I am. It's just, you know, I'm a bit jumpy lately. I see Kazi everywhere and I expect him to give me and Kiri detention every second." Nancy gave out a small half-hearted laugh as her blue eyes found his again.

Then tracing the lines on her boyfriend's face Nancy caressed his cheek slightly with the back of her hand, her thoughts at some place else before she looked back up at him and said, "Are you okay?" Then with a smirk she added, "Apart from having to search for your girlfriend who gets lost as soon as she leaves the Common Room?"

He nodded and smiled gently. "The man still scares me after five years, and I'm closer to seventeen than I am to sixteen now." He sighed and looked at her again. "I'll stay with you if you want me too." Steven offered gently. It wasn't like he needed to be with her all of the time, but he would do anything to make sure she was happy and safe.

"I am fine." He said with a smile, as his hands ran through her hair. "Besides, I like finding you, it just gives me all the more reasons to do this." He grinned at her gently, and then leant in and kissed her softly. Geez, he missed her.

Nancy nodded vigorously as Steven stated that he was still sort of scared of Kazi as she was glad that now she could just pretend that this was the reason for her behaving a little weird lately. No need to tell him the actual reason. Yet. "Oh yes. He still freaks me out so much. Jeez!" She shook her head slowly while feeling a small shudder running down her spine even at the thought of receiving a detention with Kazi. At least Kiri would be with her. Hopefully.

A smirk crept across her lips as she winked up at Steven saying, "Oh, how can I decline that offer?" Why hadn't he told her about this whole kissing thing?!?! "Oh, do you now?" Her smirk grew even more intense at his next answer, even though her thoughts were not entirely with her in this very moment. As his soft lips touched hers for a moment Nancy quickly leaned in to prolong the kiss before moving up to kiss his cheek once again. They weren't supposed to be kissing that much after all.

Chris made it up to the fourth floor corridor and sat down. He sighed and placed his head in his hands. What had just happened??? Was it his fault? He was the one who put his arm around her. But he had done that before and she hadn't well...kissed him. And what happened to just being friends huh? Why why why? He looked back over the corridor. Maybe he should have stayed and talked to Lena. Gahhh! He hadn't been this confused in a long time.

Helena had just come up the stairs to the fourth floor looking a little harrassed. She had to find Chris; she just had to. No if, ands, or buts. Her large, dark curls will a little frizzed by her raking her hands through them for the past hour, but she wasn't even half-done looking through the school. Then she stopped at the end of the corridor because she saw him.... just sitting there, looking as confused as she felt. She slowly walked over to him, not wanting to startle him. Besides, he was probably angry with her. Chris? she asked hesitantly when she was only a few feet away.

That voice Chris knew to well not to know who it was. Besides she was the only one here who had a Bulgarian accent besides him. Lena...He looked at her. "Yeah." He answered her. She looked scared to talk to him. Like he was mad at her or something. He took and deep breathe and sighed. "I'm not mad at you." He told her. He then patted to floor next to him. "Come here." He said nodding to the space. All he wanted to do was talk this whole thing out. How could he be mad at her? Sure he wasn't expecting that. But he wouldn't get mad over it.

Lena let out the breath she'd been keeping in without noticing at his words. She gave him a weak smile at the corners of her mouth and walked the remaining few feet before sitting down next to him and pulling her knees up in front of her. She rested her arms on them before looking over at him, her eyes still light brown. I'm sorry, she said quietly, suddenly finding herself not able to look at him and looking past him instead. I'm so sorry.

Chris looked at Lena giving him that smile. Though weak at least she smiled right? But then she was...sorry. He shock his head only to find she wasn't looking at him. "Lena." He started but didn't know what to say. "don't be sorry alright. There is nothing to be sorry about. But I have to ask. Was it me? Did I give you the wrong idea when I put my arm around you?" He asked Lena honestly. But really he didn't mind the she kissed him. He actaully sort of liked it.

When Chris said her name, Helena looked back at him once more. There was something in that voice.... the way he spoke to her.... it might have been that she'd never been properly spoken to before she came to Hogwarts, but it also might have been just.... him. No, it wasn't you, she said with a sigh, resting her chin on her knees; she hated that he thought this was his fault. I hate how complex this is making things again, but.... Was she really going to tell him? He did deserve the truth. I got caught up in the moment - you know what it's like to be sixteen. Sometimes things just feel right.... she trailed off again and shook her head. This probably wasn't making any sense. It was barely making sense to her.

Chris felt a bit better find out he had nothing to cause this. "I know I do too..." He said sighing. Everything was becoming better then bam! This happened and it screwed everything up again. He then nodded. "Yes I know. Heck still here at almost eighteen I get caught up in the moment. I do have to say I was a bit suprised. But it didn't feel weird or awkward at all. Well maybe except for other people being there. My point is it did feel sort of....right." He said to Lena. It was only fair she knew how he felt. Melinda health wasn't so good and well maybe that's why he wasn't freaking. Because he didn't know how much longer he would have Melly....
