The once somewhat dirty, dusty, and dusky greenhouses now shine and sparkle, clean and pristine. Six of the large buildings are situated on the Hogwarts grounds and during your time at Hogwarts you may have class in every one - with the exception of Greenhouse Six. Six is locked and has been transformed into Professor Bunbury's personal garden and experimentation area. You will most likely never see the contents of that greenhouse, nor can you even peek inside past those magically pink tinted windows!

Greenhouses one through three, however, are currently open to student aid and experimentation - with your professor's supervision, of course. Feel free to tend to the Venemous Tentaculas in Greenhouse Three and watch out for the Devil's Snare in the Greenhouse One!

If you traipse through each greenhouse, you will identify almost every sort of magical plant that has ever been taught at Hogwarts. Bubotubers, puffapods, fanged geraniums.....and that's not even mentioning the assortment of Muggle flowers in Greenhouse Two! Your professor keeps Greenhouse Four locked right now as it contains her collection of plants from around the world - no doubt an interesting subject you may wish to explore if you have a green thumb. Greenhouse Five is may be opened later in the term for more advanced students, if Bunbury feels you have the aptitude...

Each greenhouse has shelves and racks of tools and large cabinets in the corner containing any other necessities you may need. There's plenty of lab tables for setting up your own tinkering station and sinks to clean up in too. Don't forget to add to the compost pile behind the greenhouses, and help yourself to some fertilizer while you're back there!

He eagerly waited for her response as she read the poem. He wondered why she was using it to hide her face. Did she not like it? Was it so bad that she couldn't stand to see his face right now.

He as starting to feel hurt when she finally set it down. And it seemed that it wasn't helping things for her after all. That was so not the effect that he had wanted it to come. "'m glad you like it, Professor. Every word is true." He nodded at her.

"Ah.... okay."

What else was she supposed to say? Of course Anastasia thought of herself as a witty, strong, great teacher with a humorous laugh... erm, not that the students were supposed to be noticing.

No one had ever written her poetry before, though. A song, maybe, but not a long, metered, nice piece of work like this! And Torin's pained face was making Bunbury feel bad for once.

"Well then..." Annie took a step closer to the boy and slowly, slowwwly, like she was reaching into a pot of boiling water and wincing all the while, she opened her arms for a hug. "Thanks?"

It wasn't like she was going soft and going to start writing thank-you notes back to the kids. This hug - the SECOND AND LAST Torin was getting, mind you - would have to do.

Was it just him, or was Bunbury going to give him a hug? O______O His second ever Bunz hug. And he hoped that it wouldn't be the last.

He grabbed her in the hug and held it for like a minute. He didn't want to let go. But he finally had to (

), before she thought that he might have been smelling her hair or something. Even though her hair smelled really good.

"Thank you, Professor. So have any plans for the summer?" This was a totally innocent question. He would not be stalking the Bunz.

Okay okay OKAY. Reason Number 2,767,489 Why Bunbunz Doesn't Give Hugs: clingy people. Like Torin Kane.

Still squinting as if she closed her eyes and could will the boy away, Anastasia took a big step back from the student and then brushed off her robes. Never. Again.

"Yes. I was hoping to do some traveling with a friend, if he still wants to go," she answered shortly. "What about you, Mr. Kane?"

He ignored her reaction to him. paying no attention as she brushed herself off. Instead he just listened to what she had to say. "That's cool, Professor. Where are you traveling?" It might be fun traveling with her, he thought before realizing what he was saying. Maybe not...

"I'm going camping with Fyo, his girlfriend and his uncle." He nodded. "Do you like camping, Professor?" He wasn't sure if she did. Seeing as even though she loved nature he couldn't picture her roughing it in the wild. She cared about her appearance too much for that.

"Places." Bunbury answered in a flat tone. She really didn't want him following. And besides, nothing was set in stone.... although, even if Ethan suddenly changed his mind about nundus in the Congo... well nothing was to stop Annie from going on her own.

Camping. How lovely. "I don't mind camping, it can be enjoyable... if you have a decent tent." True, her tent was the most deluxe, custom-built wizard version available. "Campfire cooking can also be an interesting experience. Do you cook, Mr. Kane?"

"That's cool. Professor," she said yet again ignoring her slightly cold tone. "Hope you have a good time wherever you go." With that he gave her a little shrug. Hopefully she wouldn't be off doing something really dangerous or anything.

"Yes, that is true. I imagine that you are one that would have a very stylish tent." And now she was asking if he liked to cook? Did she like guys that could cook? "Why yes, I do. Do you like to cook, Professor?"

"Mhmmm... you too," Bunbury returned the nice words. What else was she supposed to say? Have a good vacation far, far away from me? I can't wait for summer to come to be far, far away from you children? Really. She wanted good evaluations this year, so that wouldn't do.

At least Torin knew that (duh) she was stylish even when traveling. "I have a House Elf for cooking," Annie answered Torin by flicking a bit of hair over one shoulder. "But I do like, um, making tea and trying out desserts...."

Well, she had stumbled across a Muggle book of French recipes once. That had been an interesting week. "Do you cook, Torin?"

Well.. he wasn't so big on the whole enslaving creatures for personal use thing, but he'd let it slide; she just made having a House Elf seem.. not so bad. "I didn't know you had a House Elf, Professor. But I guess that seems fitting for you. What's your favourite desert?" Maybe he could make it for her sometime.

"Yes, Professor. I also bake deserts and stuff." Hint that I want to make you something sometime. He wondered if it would be easy bribing the House Elves to let him bake something in their kitchen.

Well wasn't he perceptive. "Of course. We all enjoy a break from," STUDENTS, "work and school now then. Though I'm sure a good student like you will use the summer to start studying for next year's Ordinary Wizarding Levels, am I right, Mr. Kane?"

Perhaps he could study a bit more about House Elves too, if he sounded so shocked to hear that she had one. "Yes. She's named Pinky and she's been with my family since... why, since before I was born." Pinky had been something of a nanny to the Bunbury children, the sweet old thing.

She had to think for a long moment and try to choose a dessert to answer Torin's question. "I can't... well I don't have just a favorite." That didn't make her sound - merlin forbid - gluttonous, did it? "I like a variety of desserts from a variety of cultures. Especially if they contain chocolate." That was added in a softer tone. "What sort of things do you bake, dear?"

A boy baking... desserts? Now that was a surprise, obviously and her tone showed it. Bunbury picked a few wilting leaves off one of her puffapods and wondered if perhaps the boy was just trying to get on her good side by telling her tales. Hmm.

"Yes, I'm sure the students drive you insane," he said reading her thoughts. "And I will be studying. Not so much Herbology though as it's my best class." And that wasn't just because he had her as a Professor and was trying to impress her.

"That's cool. And her name is like Pink. We all know that you love pink." Maybe he would make her a pink desert. But... he had no idea what pink desert. He didn't really know pink deserts. Unless he charmed one pink.. And there he was off on another tangent.

"Aah, you're like me then. I love a lot of different ones too. Chocolate is always the best though." Not that he was as addicted to it as his best friends were. "And I can bake a lot of things. Name something and I can bake it." That was a bit of an exaggeration. But she seemed a bit impressed, so he went with it.

He watched her as she checked up on the plant and asked, "so what made you decide to become a Professor?" It was a pretty good question he thought. Seeing as at times she seemed to practically hate students. But maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration.

"I did not say that." What, was Torin a Seer AND a Stalker now? Reading her mind? SHIFTY MUCH?!! That was obviously the only explanation for Mr. Insane Kane (she was going to call them that in her head) to be spot on.

She scoffed at the boy for a moment when he brought up her favorite color. "I didn't name her. That's just... how she is. It's her skin tone too." All the elves in Pinky's family had been pink-ish in color though... and their names had all rhymed... hum. Funny she had never noticed that before.

"Glad we agree on something," Bunbury mentioned with just a hint of sarcasm, raising a reddish-tinted eyebrow at his offer. "Really. I'd like to see you make Baked Alaska. And bring it to me to sample, flambe and all..."

Because she could really see the boy carrying around a pan with ice cream on fire. *snort* Maybe he would get tackled by elves before he even left the kitchen... this was assuming that he'd actually do it, or at least go leave her alone long enough to give the dessert a try....

"No really, do it." Now that she had the idea in her head, Anastasia really wanted some Baked Alaska. She took a step closer to Torin and leaned in a little, just so he could smell her vanilla perfume a bit. "I dare ya."

But just as soon as she said that, he had to bring up her career. "I have my reasons," Anastasia answered curtly, turning away and walking around to the other side of the workstation. "Why, are you considering a career molding the minds of the youth?"

"HA?!" Bunbury repeated Torin's little finger-pointing-shouting-moment only in a much harsher, obviously offended tone. "HA?! The joke is on you, boy, because now this conversation is done."

No, she was not going to be telling him what having a House Elf was like nor was she about to accept that compliment regarding her teaching and her perfume. It was best to ignore that weird combination of compliments anyway. Only.... "Can you really make Baked Alaska?" Annie had just picked the pots (and the rose and poem) up to return them to her office but she paused. The mint hybrid quivered a little and almost tipped out of her hand.

"Well." She did a little superior sniff and held her head up. "You'll have to bring the dessert to my office when it's made. With witnesses, who can verify your cooking prowess or lack thereof."

Bunbury started for the door, managing to keep the four pots from her office all balanced in her arms. "Come open this, Kane," she ordered, knowing full well he would.

"Aww, Professor. I didn't mean to be rude. I'm sorry." He watched her pick everything up and said, "I will make it and you will like it. You won't be laughing then." He was starting to get mad at her tone with him. He had ignored it up until now, but she was just rude!

He opened the door for her while thinking, I'll show her. Wipe that smug look off of her face.
