"Well, at least he's got someone in the family to experience wizardry by. It's common for siblings to experience jealousy." She ate another spoonful of pudding, grinning slightly, "Maybe it's a good thing that your sisters don't have any abilities with magic. That would have made them even worse."

"You don't have a big family do you?" Leticia brought up after Ott's last statement. "Lots of students have smaller familes from what I understand, though a lot of them are pureblood."

She looked over at where Ornlu was, "Just watch that he doesn't start playing with your shoelaces. That's usually a warning sign that he's about to attack. He attacks my dad all the time, and my cousin Chloe's ankles, then he attacked a Goblin in Gringott's, and one time he went after my grandmother when she tried to get into my families house through the second entrance." Lettie laughed at the thought and poked her swollen hand again, just for the sake of it.

"Cam!" Celandine leaned over the table and got mashed potato all over herself in her efforts to hug the younger boy. "How are Mosi and Nakato?" She sat back and griiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnned at Reese and Jack. "Hi!" She beamed at them and looked at Raiden in astonishment as he made a strange noise and told her to get down. "Well... I'm... down..." She cocked her head at him and smiled sweetly. "Hi Raiden! I'm not mad, why would I be mad at you? What did you do?"

Celandine watched as a lump of paper fell on the table. She pulled it closer and opened it, spending a few moments wondering who Rizzo was. OH. She looked up at the Gryffie table and waved brightly at Anna. She flipped the note over and scribbled a short reply.

Celandine charmed her reply- which she'd scribbled on the same piece of paper- to fold into a paper frog, which hopped over to the Gryffindor table and landed on Anna's head.

ZOMG. HOW cool was it that Anna and Lyra, two of the coolest (if not the coolest) girls in the whole school were like... her friends and wanted to hang out with her and stuff? And Cela, being just a fourth year, well... it was pretty impressive really.

Celandine beamed and started coiling a strand of hair around her finger. It was a nice distraction. For sure. "Raiden! How was your summer?" Celandine asked her friend, absently charming the mashed potato off of herself and not bothering to make a pirate island out of it this term.

"I don't know, one of them, I think might actually get the letter. But I'm hoping they both don't. A few things have happened to Aesa, but nothing spectacular, showing she might be a witch... with a glimmer of hope in his eyes he continues, "She's kind of my pet, she and I get along really well."

"We have a kind of a medium family. My parents each have 3 siblings, but each sibling has 2-3 kids. So it isn't too big, but it's not really small either. I fall right in the middle of all the cousins. Sometimes that's nice, because I can choose to go do stuff with the older ones, or hang out with the younger ones. reaching back to scratch a spot on his shoulder, he smiles "It's kind of nice to be away from them all for the school year. Most of them are right around Trondheim where I'm from."

"I wouldn't doubt it. He looks sweet, but I can see in his eyes, that he's not as trusting as he seems." he adds glancing down at Ornlu. Wincing at her poking her injured hand, he avoids watching that.

"I hope the feast is done soon...that way we can get that bruise taken care of."

Pietro's eyes widened at what Raiden was screaming about. Suddenly he felt himself falling backwards. BOOM. He was on the floor of the Great Hall looking up at a girl with strange socks. Looking back and forth between Raiden and the girl, he shook his head, eyes still widened. "She's not mad, she's INSANE! You're almost up there with my aunt lady, except she's WORSE!" Not wanting to think so much about his family, he got up and offered a hand to the girl. "If you want help down, I'll give it to you. My name's Pietro by the way. Pietro Moretti. You can call me Pie though. What's yours?" Looking over at Raiden he grinned and offered him his other hand. "You need help up buddy?"

Natasha smiled as she saw a Ravenclaw come over to the Slytherin table, it seemed the girl was talking to quite a few other people, but she decided to say hello nonetheless. "Hey, " she said politely.

Cayden had heard a lot of noise coming from this area of the table. Not to mention it seemed like quite a few kids had way to much chocolate frogs on the train.He moved from his seat to walk over to a few slytherins and a ravenclaw girl was talking. He looked down at the kid who had now landed on the floor. He would of given him a 10 if it was appropriate."Is everyone alright over here? Its quite loud." he commented as he looked at everyone. He was sure everyone was staring at him which made him more nervous then before. Even if he was taller and older then they were."Im Cayden." he added to all of them."What are you guys doing?" he asked curiously.

Anna continued to watch her lump of paper paper owl as it gracefully flew sadly flailed about. When it landed in a nearby punch bowl, she winced slightly. Eep. That wasn't supposed to happen, now was it? Of course Cela took notice of it right away, though. Anna waited a few moments, then giggled when her friend's reply, in the former of charmed frog, hopped back over to her. Now had did Cela do that? Anna's owl had been...awful, for lack of a better phrase. Anna reached onto the top of her head and pulled the frog down to her. She read the letter, then smiled at Cela and waved. She then pulled out her pretty pink lip liner and wrote:

When she was through, Anna folded the note into it's owl form once again, charmed it, and sent it sailing through the air. Hopefully it'd land in its intended spot this go round.

Ack. Being on the floor did not equal good. Turning his face away from Cela, he reached for Pie's outstretched hand and clambered to his feet, face far beyond beet red. If he didn't still have calming draught in him from the train, he'd have to pop one right about now because he was freaked with a capital F. And the fact that Cela didn't seem to realize that she was... well... it should've helped the situation, but it didn't feel like it was at all. Crawling back onto the bench, with a horrified look at Kiri. At least he hadn't dragged her off the bench with him.

"Sorry... are you okay Pie?" he asked, still desperately not looking at Celandine. Honestly, she was hyper and awesome, but sometimes... sometimes he feared that being around her would be the end of him. "Everything's fine," he replied to the older guy who'd come over. "It's... it's fine... Just took me by surprise, is all."

Having settled back on the bench, he put his elbows on the table and anxiously rubbed the back of his neck, his fringe swinging back and forth against the edge of the plate in front of his face. Ack. What was that just now? That little explosion in his brain that had made him fall backwards? It wasn't like it was THAT big of a deal, was it?

"Summer? Was... boring," he replied distractedly to Celandine. "Shiro's gone to Japan to live with our uncle... so I had no one around to play around with. How w-was yours?"

"I'm okay! I've been knocked over before. It's alright! Consider us even for me running you into the freaky tattooed guys." Pietro helped his friend up then turned over to the older guy. "I'm Pietro! You can call me Pie though. We're fine over here. My friend here just got a little startled that's all. I think it was because of her and her weirdo stockings" Nodding, Pietro gestured to the girl's odd stalkings under her uniform. What odd stockings they were too! All pink and stripey and stuff. Odd.

Sydney was so happy to be sorted into Slytherin that it was showing on her face which was beaming as she walked towards the Slytherin table, although she didn't have any friends, she was still looking forward to a exciting first term! She made a mental note to write to her father about the sorting ceremony & placed her bag on the table. She plopped on the bench next to a girl who was shoving a goblet in her bag.. Sydney studied her for a moment trying to figure out where she met her....

"Lyra! it's so good to see you, remember we met at Diagon Alley? You got sorted into Slytherin too? oh great!" Sydney clapped her hands with excitement, she finally met someone she knew.

Natasha glanced up as she saw another girl sit down, who she guessed was a firstie. "Hey, I'm Natasha." She said with a polite smile to the girl. "Are you a first year?"

Ruby listened to the others chatting and opened her mouth to say something and then closed it again, she looked like a goldfish but she didn't care she just sat there thinking about what this year would have install for her....

April stared around the great hall, ignoring the incessant chatter of everyone around her. So she was a Slytherin just like her mother had been. Oh well, she had been hoping for something else really but she could live with it. She tried not to think of her mum though, not today. However when she tried not thinking about her, her mind wandered to thinking of the other person she shouldn't be thinking of. April knew it was silly to hope, but she wished that next year Alex would be sat next to her, or maybe even at a different table. Shaking off these thoughts she focused on the food. She ate a lot for a small girl. At home she usually had to bash some kid in the head to steal back the food he'd just nicked from her or something like that. Despite the loud chatter that echoed around the hall, April found this meal quite peaceful. Looking around at the people around her, though avoiding eye contact, April tucked a strand of her reddy-brown hair behind her ear. It would be good at Hogwarts, at least she hoped.

Theo smiled as Clifford agreed with him. The sock would be best. What was Clifford looking at, was Theo not interesting anymore?

He nodded, furiously, "Girls are meanies, especially ones called Paris." He frowned. She was the biggest meanie of all. "Miss Evangeline is nice. And so is Lyra. But nobody else is."

With a dull expression on her face Nancy looked down the Slytherin table in search for something to distract her from her rather depressed-looking friend next to her. Biting her lip she frequently glanced to her right at Steven to see if she could somehow help him through his misery but he just resumed to glare at the Gryffindor table and the Staff table. A small sigh escaped the 14 year old's lips as her blue eyes, once again, moved down her house table. Wasn't there anything interesting going on?

And there really was. Well, not at first it seemed but when Nancy took a closer look at her Prefects sitting some place to her left her eyes widened in surprise. What was that on Clifford's robes? It didn't look like the normal Prefect badge he and and his girlfriend had worn the last few years and which was still pinned to the front of Evangeline's robes. No, it had to letters written on it. HB. What the-? And then it hit her causing her eyes to widen even further. Clifford Carden was Head Boy?!

As Nancy quickly tilted her head back to Steven to point that quite surprising fact out to him her eyes fell on a little girl, presumably a first year, who looked slightly, well, lonely. So instead of excitedly gesturing towards Clifford to show Steven the Head Boy-badge on his robes she smiled at the little girl. Steven wouldn't be interested anyway. Not now at least. "Hey there. You new?" She asked the girl cheerfully as she shifted slightly in her seat to turn towards her.

Lyra jumped up from shock "no! no , this isnt what it looks like, its my own goblet..." she looked deeply troubled, she shouldn't have done that levitating charm but when she looked next to her she noticed a girl she met at Diagon Alley "Hey Sydney!" said Lyra, in relief , "i thought you was a pr..." but she halted her speech and looked around again. Deciding none was paying attention to her except Sydney she turned around again "yes of course i remember you!" she said and laughed a little "how are you doing?, and your a Slytherin too?!" Lyra looked at the black with green schoolrobes she was wearing "ooh awesome!" "err...you didnt saw me shoving something in my bag huh?" she added with a small whisper and then quickly looked around.

April looked up as a girl spoke to her, she had been daydreaming a little. Lost in her thoughts. "Oh... yeah." She nodded. She hadn't gotten to know anybody really yet. April knew she would do eventually though. "I'm April." She told the girl with a small smile, again tucking that piece of hair out of the way that seemed determined to dangle in front of her face annoyingly. "And you are?" She asked, assuming the random person talking to her had a name.

Still repeatedly glancing at Steven next to her Nancy felt the urge to wave her hand in front of his face and scream at him, "Talk to meeeee! What's wrooong?!" She suppressed that urge, though. Jeez! All the glaring certainly couldn't be healthy. With another glance at his girlfriend Paris Nancy almost snorted. She hadn't even asked him what was wrong with him.

Oh, the little girl had answered her question. Turning her attention back towards the girl, Nancy smiled at her once again as she confirmed that she was a first year. "Oh, nice to meet you, April. I'm Nancy. Fourth year. So, how d'you like it at Hogwarts so far?" Well, she probably hadn't seen a lot given that they hadn't been allowed to leave the Great Hall but still. The Great Hall was one of the most impressing things at Hogwarts after all.

April looked around her for a second before replying. "I don't know it's very... big... amazing really." She commented, not sure how to put the great hall with it's magical ceiling, floating candles and air of excitement and magic into words. April had been rather awe stricken by the hall when she had first come in. She hadn't seen anything as grand as this before in her life. "I think it's going to be really good." Well, that was what she hoped at least.

Nancy followed April's glance around the Great Hall, not even looking back at the little girl as she spoke up again. "Mmm...it is, isn't it?" She muttered her blue eyes still resting on the floating candles above them. It really was amazing. She was still stricken by the magical beauty of this place every time she entered it the first day of a new term, even though it was already her fourth year at Hogwarts.
Nancy's attention was then redirected at April as she noticed a bare hint of uncertainty in the girl's voice as she said that it was going to be really good. "Oh, I'm sure it will. It really is awesome here." She told the girl with a reassuring smile as her eyes moved over to the Staff Table, in hope to see the Headmaster getting up to hold his speech. But, no, it didn't look like it. "So...uhm...d'you have any siblings here at Hogwarts?" Nancy almost grinned at Steven at that question but caught herself before doing so reminding herself of the mood her friend was currently in.

April nodded as Nancy said that it really was awesome. Maybe it was going to be. She found herself a little startled by the question, though there wasn't really any need to be. "Ah... no... I don't. I have a younger brother though, but that's it." She said, thinking of Alex again. Would he even be allowed to come to Hogwarts? She doubted it, but she tried to keep up hope. Maybe she would see him on the train next year. "What about you? Do you have any siblings here?" She asked.

Lukus walked into the Great hall were all the commotion had been going on for some time now. First years getting sorted into there house, fourth years fighting over who had the best holiday over the break. and the seventh year. looking missable and looking like they would have loved to be off playing Quidditch or at-least away from here.

Lukus smiled to himself. know that now he was right in the middle. His sixth year at hogwarts school. he was keen to learn about maybe pick up some new friends too.

sitting down at the Slytherin table he smiled at the others sitting next to him.
grabbed at plate he sat and waited for the head mistress to address the start of the year.

Yay for random question. Nancy thought sarcastically as she noticed the slightly startled expression that flashed across April's face at her question. Feeling the need to explain her rather weird question Nancy rolled her eyes and with a smirk told April, "Sorry. He-" She nodded towards Steven who probably hadn't even noticed her talking to somebody else, being so concentrated at glaring at the Gryffindor table. "-has. I mean, I think his whole family's at Hogwarts now. So I just...assumed that...forget it." She let out a small laugh before adding, "So, you have a younger brother. How old is he?" Then answering the girl's question Nancy shook her head and said, "Oh, no. I don't. I don't have any siblings at all." Unfortunately...

Her eyes widened again, "If that's the case, then there must have been a witch or wizard somewhere in your family line. That's really uncommon for two siblings to have magical abilities and be completely muggle born." Lettie thought about things for a moment, "You are positive that nobody in your family had, erm, magical abilities?" She had to laugh at the pet comment. "Yeah, my younger cousin Linus is like that, I actually got him a kitten in Diagon Alley before summer was over."

"That sounds like me. I'm right in the middle too. Half of my cousins are around my age or much younger." Of course with her favorite aunt pregnant again, that will only add more. "I used to hang out with my older cousins, Felix and Hollis the most, they were brothers." She took a sip of her juice after speaking, "But when Hollis was, erm, I think eighteen, he went of to some treatment center. He was a werewolf." Lettie finished off rather abruptly, starting to get upset again about what happened.
"Trondheim." Leticia repeated and thinking some more, "I know I've heard that name before, is it nice living there? Most of my family lives in Skye."

Smirking slightly, Lettie picked up her cat and placed him on her lap, stroking his head. "I think he enjoys attacking people, and he can't stand being away from me. Can you?" She cooed to the feline and kissed his fuzzy head while he purred and glared up at Ott, his ears twitching.

"Yeah, me too." Leticia replied and took another bite of her cake. Sweet stuff was yummy for once, and it was all hers, no sharing! "I really wanna see my dormitory, I hear they are nice. But maybe we should just go to the hospital wing first...". She prodded her swollen hand again and cringed, it was starting to hurt a little more again.

April looked over at the boy Nancy nodded to. She looked back at Nancy. "Alex... he's about a year younger than me I guess. Having a brother isn't that good, you're not missing out on one." April said with a small smile. "Though I haven't seen Alex in a long time now." She commented.
