Having made the decision to head to the Prefect's Bathroom for a little while to relax a bit, Dominic made his way down there from the Ravenclaw Common Room. One advantage to being on the seventh floor was being closer to this bathroom. However he couldn't deny that even though rooming with extra people was certainly interesting . . . he missed the Hufflepuff Common Room. Something that was probably to be expected.

Unlike what the sixth year just came across as he was almost to the portrait leading into the bathroom. It looked freshly installed and . . . slippery . . . Leaning his head in a bit, Dominic knelt on the hole in the wall trying to get a better look at this addition he was sure was not there the other day. Or even yesterday for that matter.

But something else that was unexpected, yet to be expected at the same time was the moment Dominic leaned in just far enough for both feet to be off the ground. For him to be kneeling inside the hole, as he then very quickly and suddenly lost his balance . . . Sliding forward, on his washboard stomach, Dominic was felt a mixture of exhilaration and dizziness as he zoomed faster and faster down to a destination he did not know.

Fallon was walking in the Fifth floor corridor when she noticed something that resembled a slide. She had nothing else to do and couldn't go down to the Ground Floor due to the flooding to go outside. She looked around to see if there was anyone. Fallon then sat down and held her bag to her, pushing off to slide down the tube. She started to go really fast and it was exhiliarting. She couldn't help but laugh out loud as she made her way to a destination unknown, to her at least.

Kevin was wandering back up to the common room and was thinking about going outside but how were they meant to get outside if the ground floor was flooded and that's when he noticed the slide and thought hey i may as well go down to the grounds now seeing as he was getting hungry and he wanted to see where they could eat now, Kevin got onto the slide and put his bag in front of him and pushed off hard and slide down faster and faster to a destination unknown.

Victoria show Kevin disappear down the slide, she waited and then sat down and pushed off, she would find him at the bottom she hoped.

Aaron was walking down the corridor to get to the grounds, when he remembered that the ground floor was flooded. Gaaaaah!!! He then looked down the hallway to see a opening in the wall and a bunch of people standing around it.. Huuuh??? He went over there to see what was happening. Ah ha!!!! A way down to the Grounds!!! Oh, this will be fun.

He sat down on the slide when it was finally his turn and pushed off...

Iris wandered down the main stairs, wondering how she was going to get out side, when she stumbled across this - slide. Iris looked at it nervously and noticed some stairs next to it. Ah... Clever Mr Masterson - so we can still get out! Iris looked down the slide to check that no one else was there and then climbed into the slide and made her way down it, possibly to go to the lake, or for something to eat.

Kel shook his head at the craziness as he looked down the shoot. First off, it was just weird that the castle was flooding. But second...now the only way to get to the grounds was to go down a five-story-high slide. Lovely.

Taking a deep breath, he sat down. Resolving to keep his mouth firmly shut as he went down, he pushed off the side of the slide and went dooooown. He shut his eyes tightly to being with, but he wasn't sure they'd stay like that.

Wheee - a slide. How fun. Selena made a face as she reached the slide. Couldn't they just use, oh, stairs? Mr. Masterson really knows how to appeal to the general public, but not her anyways. Anyone who knew her enough would immediately understand that Selena Alexis Lovett and childish fun doesn't go together. But still, she had to use the slide since it's the only way out of the castle. Sighing feverishly, she climbed into the swirly object and let herself slide down to the lake where she needs to hunt down Moaning Myrtle. With a boy.

Natasha grinned as she came to the slide thing. It was always so fun going down this thing. She sounded slightly immature to herself, but shrugged off the thought. She was only thirteen, after all, and it was a slide. She sat in the slide, quickly tying her hair up in a ponytail with a few strands falling across her face, before pushing herself down. Yaaaaaaaaaaay.

Victoria walked for Natasha to get to the bottom before she sat down and push off herself. She loved the slides better than the ladders.

Tammy giggled childlishly as she approached the pne place she had overheard people talking about. A slide. Squee. Amazing fun things they were. Oh, if Hogwarts had swings aswell, she would just be in HEAVEN. Giggle. She wasnt all that sure that she wasnt going to die, considering it could be magic. Le sigh.

She kneeled down as she looked over the side, man it was real high up. She couldnt stand heights. Swinging her legs round so her feet were facing down she closed her eyes and gave herself a tincey wincey push and felt herself near enought flying. "ohmegod. ohmegod. ohmegod. save meeeeee." She wailed as she felt herself nearly at death. Her feet hit teh floor and she gave another giggle as she got up and walked away.

Ahhhh this was going to be so cool! Like being at a funfair,going from fifth floor to ground level,such a height.
Sarah stood looking down the slide as she waited for Ryder to arrive.They had arranged to meet here then go for a stroll around what was left of the Hogwarts grounds.Nothing set in stone,just a nice wander...together.It had been a while since they had talked properly and Sarah wanted to know how he was getting on with his research,and if there was anything she could help with.

Leaning against the wall she closed her eyes and waited.

Ryder wasn't quite sure that he knew where he was going. He'd been wandering around the 5th floor for awhile looking for this place that Sarah had told him they should meet at. He'd never heard of it before, but he trusted that she knew where it was. It shouldn't of been so hard to find though.

Once he actually found where he was looking for, it was obvious that he was in the right place. He smiled as he slowed down, looking around for Sarah. It didn't take him long to see her leaning against a wall opposite to what he assumed was the slide.

"Sarah!" he exclaimed. It had been such a long time since he had seen her last, and he shouldn't of let it go that long since he had last seen her. He'd almost forgot what it was like to be around her, he'd been away from her for so long. Cramped up in the library was where. But he'd finally found what he was looking for. Just the other day actually, and he was glad, he felt a lot better since he'd found out about Elle. This was what was running through his mind as he made his way over to her. Should he give her a hug he wondered? He couldn't seem to decide. Once he was right infront of her though, it wasn't a hard decision to make. He pulled her away from the wall and wrapped his arms around her in a warm hug. "I'm sorry I sort of just disappeared," he apologized after he had pulled away. "How have you been?" he asked her, a smile still on his face.

She had almost nodded off while leaning against the cold,hard wall.It was only the sound of her name being called that made her snap her eyes open.There in front of her was the person she was waiting for..."Ryder!" Her face lit up in a beaming smile as he came over and enveloped her in a lovely hug.It was nice to be held for a while,it seemed like forever since she had been...by anyone.The odd thing was now she was sharing a common room with her friends she saw them less,which must be the weirdest thing to happen ever.Apart from all the flooding that is.

She looked up in Ryder's face as he pulled away and spoke. "Oh that's ok,I understand you had important stuff to do," she smiled,grabbing his hand and giving it a squeeze. "I've been fine,confused about what's happening but since our common room flooded been lucky enough not to be near the rising water anymore." It seemed to come out in a rush,her words,but she wasn't sure why.They had time to talk,nowhere they had to be.Then it came to her,she hadn't asked about him. "So how have things been going for you? Found anything?"
Clearing her throat she leaned back against the wall.

It was good to just listen to her talk. Almost calming. He missed their common room, and really hoped that they would have it back next year. "Yes, actually," he told her. "I found my sister, a wedding annoucement," he told her. He really was excited to of learned something about Elle, but it was still a little hard.

"Want to go down this slide first?" he asked her, eyeing the slide curiously. "Or, if you want, I can down first and catch you," he said teasingly.

Sarah's smile got broader as Ryder said he'd found something. "Really?! You'll have to tell me all about it when we get to the bottom!"
If they do.The more she looked down the slide,the more nerves were getting to her.

"Ummm you know,I don't know," she strangled the words out while tugging on the corner of her robes. "I think you may need to push me.This seemed like such a good idea at the time!" *nervous giggling commences*
"No you know what,I'll go first and wait for you at the bottom.Otherwise I may wimp out and leave you standing." She turned and winked at him playfully.

Moving closer to the edge,Sarah hitched up the bottom of her robes and folded them between her knees.General practice whenever she went on a slide.Climbing on she got her bottom comfortable and said a silent prayer before turning to face Ryder. "See you down there!"
And with a push she was off....leaving her stomach back where she had started.

Ryder laughed, as she answered his question. He walked up behind her when she sat down on the slide, and for a fleeting moment he was worried about her going down this slide, he'd never been down it before.

He laughed again as she took off and waited until he could be certain she'd had enough time to get down to the bottom before he too slid down the slide. He pushed off on the sides, and within moments he was at the bottom.

Question of the day: Why did Cy Andrus have a can of oil?

Well, as a few may have guessed, he was heading right for those awesome new shoots that boomed all the way down to somewhere cool. He’d obtained the oil from one of the school’s old oil lamps, it’s new purpose was to shoot him quite fast down the slides.

Brown eyes locked onto the metal once it reached the slide. He grinned a wry smile and looked to the left and right of himself. “Anyone down thah’ betta’ hurry up or else they’re in for a wallop!” His evil laugh slipped and he picked up the can of oil.

Time. To. Dominate.

Another question of the day: Why did Willie Crocker have a napkin, obviously taken from the great hall, filled with butter?

Not a lot would have guessed what the almost toothless child of twelve had in mind, but who knew him might guess that he was up to something wicked, something quite devious, which was what he was up to exactly. He had stolen some butter from the great hall, or the iced hall, whatever it was called these days and decided to see how fast he could slide down the slide.

Thrill ran through his blood as he ran up the stairs towards the fifth corridor. Before he knew it, he saw himself behind the weird talking kid who he really liked. Naprus. Cyprus. Psycho. His name was something, but he had forgotten, as always.

"OII, yye!" He exclaimed, clasping his hand over the boy's shoulder to stop him from sliding. "Ye ain't goin' on dat thlide before me!" Willie told him, his green eyes bright. "Yer gunna take too long, mate! I'mma be tryin' thumthin', eh... Be workin' fathter than ye can thay Bunburry 'avin' thcarry bunnieth!"

Just as Cyrus was going to yell out BOMB’S AWAY, he felt arms around his shoulder and a very familiar voice. The Aussie’s eyes narrowed and he hopped up from the slide.

“I’ll bet yah’ merlin’s snot I’am!” He said, wagging a finger pointedly. “First come, first serve mate.” He pounded his chest proudly, twice.

TAKE TO LONG?

“You dun’ know who yah’ talkin’ to. Word through the grapevine is thah’ I’m fastah’ than to speed of light on one o’ these.” He tabbed the metal slide, making a clanking noise. “You’d be lucky to even see me!” He said in a PSHHH type of tone.

The Aussie’s eyebrow cocked into the air. “Ah, what are you tryin’ then mate?” He crossed his arms and took a step in front of the oil, as if to hide a deep dark secret.

Willie's eyes widened slightly at the boy's finger and he giggled (yes, giggled) when he had pound his chest, looking like an ape. "Oh pleathe, ye only been 'ere like wuut? Two minuteth?!"

And then more words became to come out of the smaller child. His eyes narrowed at the younger boy and Willie now placed his hands on his hips. "No, ye dun know who yer be talkin' to, mate! I'm fathter than a weeeeee litt'e rabbit! Fathter than ye can thay, YIIPEEE DOOPE DOOO!" He said, spit flying everywhere because of his lisp.

The curly haired child then stopped, his eyes locked with the boy's. "Me? Who'th ye ter know what I'm doin, eh?"

Cy looked to the ceiling in thought. “Two minutes is a long bloody time in my book.” He said with a fervent nod. The Aussie liked to live in fast forward, ALL THE TIME.

“Oh yeah,” Cy narrowed his brown eyes, “I can go fastah’ that you can say Bob’s yah’ uncle.” And believe me, that was a fast phrase. His eyes then completely closed as spit flung across his face.

Wiping it off, Cy eyed Willie with a shake of the head. “I’m tellin’ yah, your mouth is like krakatoa. Only with spit.” Krakatoa, one of the largest volcanic eruptions in the world to date… Cy’d learned about it in muggle school.

Brushing his school robes on his face to get the remaining spit, Cy decided to pick up his can of oil. “I’m Cy o’course. Which means I know all thah’ best plans to be known. Which is why I have this lil’ rippah’ here. It’s called oil, gonna make me shoot down this bloke fastah’ than a shootin’ star.”

STOOTIN STARS WERE FAST!

"Oiii, me mouth ith the betht thin' evah! I can thtuff innnit five cakes and drink me milk wit it!" Willie exclaimed, flailing his arms, the butter held tightly into his hand. Who was he to say that his mouth was like a volcanic eruption?!

His eyes shone at the can of oil that was lifted in front of him and at what the boy intended to do with it. "Mate, I think we be on the thame page," he spoke softly, opening the napkin to show the almost melting butter inside of it. "I'mma be rubbin' thith on me bottom for a bettah thlide, dontchaknow."


Looking at the slide and then back at Cy, Willie grinned some more. "I be havin' an idea, mate! Come 'ere!" He ushered, wanting to whisper something in his ear. "I promithe not ter thpit in yer ear!"

Or he'd try.

“FIVE?!” Cy’s mouth had dropped in astonishment. “That’s a big yapper yah’ got there mate.” Cy’d never really tried to stuff so much food into his mouth, but he’d make a mental note to attempt such things at dinner.

The Aussie’s eyes narrowed in interest and his head tilted to the right. “Well I’ll be a three eye’d wallaby’s pop!” He said, grinning widely. “Exactly my thoughts mate, it’ll really shoot yah’ down there. If anyone’s in the way, they’re dead as a doornail.”

Yes, they really were. Cy’d make sure of it.

Nodding to the bouncing curls, Cy walked over to Willie with his oil. “Ah’right mate.” He said, holding up a finger again as if saying, ‘hold on’. He ran up the halls to make sure the coast was clear before the plan was revealed. “No spies to be seen. We’re safe mate. What’s the skeez?” Willie may seemed like he was off his rocker, but Cy knew good and well that the kid was a genius.
