hello Madame Kohan i don't mean to bother i just wanted to say hello and introduce myself i am Lilly Mae Rodriguez. i am a new Gryffindor. i love to read so i most likely will be in here a lot. i hope you have a fantastic day!

Madame Kohan looked up as a young girl entered her office, immediately introducing herself. "Hello Lilly, it's very nice to meet you. I'm sure you'll enjoy Gryffindor very much."

She paused momentarily as the girl went on to say that she loved to read. "Well, that's wonderful to know! If you ever need any kind of assistance, let me know. I'll be glad help you in any way I can."

"so far i love Gryffindor i am so happy that i am here at hogwarts. i will definitely come if i need help thanks so much." lilly said enthusiastically. "i hope that we can be good friends while i am here. i can imagine i will be in here plenty of times during my schooling career." lilly stated

Madame Kohan smiled once more at the girl's enthusiasm. "That sounds fantastic, Lilly. I look forward to seeing you here in the library. It has much to offer the eager mind, especially one that is young in its beginnings." She pointed out.

"yes indeed. i love learning it helps you so much." she said smiling from ear to ear

Madame Kohan nodded in understanding. "That is very nice to hear. You'll be doing plenty of learning here." Her gaze fell towards her desk to a piece of parchment peeking out from under a stack of papers, a few words showing. Oh dear! She had forgotten to owl that!

"I'm sorry, dear, but I have to take of something right away." She spoke up, picking up the parchment and folding it. "I'll be back later though if you wish to come by for a visit."

With an apologetic expression, Angela rose from her seat and moved towards her office door, waiting for the young Gryffindor to step out of her office before locking it and walking down the corridor. "Good day Lilly!"

~~~~ (Days Later)

Madame Kohan's quill scratched along the parchment as she planned a list of supplies that the Slytherins would need.

She already had cauldrons, brass scales, telescope, potions kit, gloves, abacus, robes, hats,and cloaks on the list. She also had a listing of books, such as Hogwarts, a History; A History of Magic; The Art of Potion Making; and Defensive Spells and Theory amongst others.

She, unfortunately, could not replace everything, but this would have to do for now. Now all she had to do was to send this list off to the shops via owl with a written explanation.

Once she had written such explanation, she magically copied it several times and placed a list of supplies that were needed.

With a weary sigh, she rose, exited the room and locked the door behind her. Her shoes made soft clicking sounds along the corridor as she headed through to the library and towards the owlery.

Aly approached the door and knocked on it gently. She wanted to know if the librarian need any help with anything. She was looking for something to do.

After a couple of minutes, Aly leaned against the wall next to the door and slid down it into a sitting position. She would sit here and wait for the librarian. It's not like she had anything else to do.

Argyle aparates Argyle to Mistress Kohan's office. Argyle lands right on Mistress Kohan's desk. Argyle jumps up and down. "Mistress Morgan says you are making the house elves a new kitchen. Argyle here to help. Argyle loves to work. Argyle will help with kitchen and help with Library." Argyle give Mistress Kohan a big kiss on the lips and starts gathering books up. "Argyle can help Mistress Kohan put the books back up. Argyle loves books." Argyle is so happy. Argyle kisses Mistress Kohan's books too.

Madame Kohan was so engrossed in her reading that she did not notice the soft knock at her door. What she did notice, however, was the loud crack that sounded as a house elf appeared on her desk. Startled (and who wouldn't be if someone suddenly apparated six inches of front of you?), Madame Kohan pushed herself backwards in her chair towards her bookshelves, nearly crashing into them.

Eyes widened at the sight, for she rarely saw the house elves, it was a few moments before she completely regained her composure..only to lose it again when Argyle kissed her. "Ah..Argyle..."

She paused for a moment as she maneuvered her chair back into position, her gaze never leaving the house elf as he roamed around picking her books. Morgan? Iliana had a part in this?

"Why...thank you Argyle. I'm afraid that I wasn't entirely aware of this arrangement, but I'm sure it'll work out somehow...Give me a bit to think of what you can do to help." First, though, she might send an owl to Iliana...

Wait a minute. "Argyle..did you just say a new kitchen in the library?" She spoke slowly, her mind coming to a complete halt so as not to understand the house elf's coming answer.

Argyles ears drop and her round eyes start to fill with tears. "Mistress Lupa was mistaken. Argyle is not going to have a new kitchen here in the library..." A tear drops from Argyle's eye and lands on Mistress Kohn's papers. It splashes everywhere. Argyle sits down on Misress Kohn's desk. "Argyle is so sad. Argyle is not going to have a new kitchen here. Argyle will have no place to work. Argyle is a usless house elf now." Another tear falls from Argyle's eyes. "Master Bontecou will be mad at Argyle. Argyle needs to work to be useful. Argyle does not know how to be useless. Could Argyle help in the library if Argyle is not going to have a kitchen to work in?"

Madame Kohan winced slightly as the house elf began to cry; her tears splashing on the papers strewn across the desk. Normally, the desk was a neat place to work, but lately...

"Oh, Argyle! You are not useless and the Headmaster will not be mad at you. I'll find you some work to do." She promised quickly "For instance! You can help me right now; in the corner of the library, I have an area set up with career information and a bulletin board. On that board is a sheet of paper that some students have signed to enter a writing challenge. If you could pick up that paper and write each student's name on a separate piece of parchment, and return it to me, I would greatly appreciate it."

Argyle uses her tea towel to wipe her eyes and blow her nose. "In the library? Mistress Kohan will let Argyle work in the Library..." Argyle starts jumping up and down on the desk. "Thank you Mistress Argyle.. Argyle will get on it right a way. Argyle promises to do a good job." Argyle stops jumping and gets a worried look on Argyle's face. "Could Mistress Kohan give Argyle some parnchmene and a quill? All Argyle's parchment and quills are in the kitchen under water." Argyle sits down on the desk. Argyle is sad now.

Now relieved that the house elf seemed much happier, Angela relaxed in her chair, eyeing Argyle with amusement as she jumped up and down. "Wonderful Argyle, I'm sure that you'll do the perfect job."

Goodness, these house elves certainly could change emotions like a light switch. "But of course Argyle." Reaching into her drawer, she selected several pierces of parchment and two quills. "Here you are, Argyle. Two brand new quills and clean parchment." It was unfortunate that the creature's belongings had been lost with the flooding waters. Hopefully she would be able to secure more when all of this was over.

A few seconds later, a little shuffling sound was heard, and Beezley the house elf strolled into the librarian's office. She was in an unusually happy mood considering the circumstances, but then again, that was Beezley for you. She'd always been the one to try and look on the bright side of each and every situation that came her way. She smiled a wide, toothless grin at both Mistress and Argyle. "Mistress...Argyle...Beezley is happy to see both of you. Beezley does hope you are doing well today, yes," she said.

Good-ness! How many house elves were in the library at this time? "Hello Beezley." Greeted the librarian as the house elf grinned up at her. "Yes...I suppose I am. It has been a somewhat interesting day."

She paused, uncertain of what to say next. "And I trust that you are doing well as well?"

Argyle stuffs the parchments in her tea towel and takes the quill and ink. "Argyle go right now. Argyle will get the list and write the students names down." Argyle snaps her fingers and disappears.

Madame Kohan smiles slightly as Argyle agreed to do what she asked and immediately disappeared. She had been negligent on the contest front, but who could really blame her with all of this insane flooding going on? The judging would more than likely have to wait until after the term was finished and the prize sent to the winner over break. She hated to do it, but saw no other choice.

And speaking of things that she'd fallen behind on..the librarian stood up and moved towards the doorway. "Beezley, you can come with me if you'd like. I have to sort out a few books that were donated to me."

With that said, she left her office, locked her door, and strolled towards the front desk.

"Yes, mistress. Beezley's coming. Beezley's going to explore Mistress' library," the little house elf replied. She wanted to see all the wonders that made up her newest home...the library. Beezley couldn't read, of course, but Beezley would be delighted to live here anyway. She gave the librarian a toothless, appreciative smile, then followed her out the office. "Beezley go now, Mistress. Beezley's going to see the booksies." She put one knobby little leg in front of the other and strolled off to do her exploring.
