With Victoria Jaimeson levitating in front of him and Jake Upstead hopefully following along behind him, Lars trod down the stairs to the fifth floor. "Mister Upstead, are you keeping up?" Lars asked. He realized that the boy was coughing, and did not want to walk at too fast a pace.

ooc: we'll actually post in the fourth floor corridor as well, if that's all right. my mistake

Victoria was still unconcious, she couldn't feel being levitated or the professor speaking to the other student.

Woooopsies, too far behind.

"I'm comiiiiing," Jake grinned, holding his bowl carefully and stumbling up against the wall as he stumbled down the last few steps. "Ouch," he muttered, pressing his hand up to his head and stopping for a moment. Oh great, blood. Well... Jake didn't want to be any more trouble, so he held onto his head and hurried after the man, hanging behind, still coughing as much as before. "I am sorry sir," he added miserably. There were probably alot of people angry with him.

He tried to stayed calmed down, but he still felt like he had the energy to sprint a mile without slowing or taking a breath.

Though the cough would hinder that.

Amanda headed down to the Fifth Floor Corridor, she didn't particularly enjoy being up in the Observatory because that was not where Slytherins belonged but unfortunately she had to deal with it as much as she didn't want to. Carrying her guitar in her right hand, she walked along the corridor to find a nice spot to sit down so she could play her guitar in peace. Finding a spot, she sat down and rested her guitar in her lap before she began playing a song she wrote a long time ago.

Divad was standing there.

Rogue walked down the corridor to see Amanda playing her guitar. "Hey," she said, "haven't talked to you in a while."

"Hey Rogue, how are you?" Amanda said as she stopped her song, resting her guitar in her lap for the moment. She hadn't seen her friend since her party during the summer and there had been plenty of things that had happened to her since then.

Pietro was wandering around the school because like any first year, he wanted to explore the school. This just happened to be where he chose to be today. His hat was bothering him for some reason, though. Probably because he had just got this hat from his mom who was in France closing a business deal. It was a very itchy black beret and he did not approve of it at ALL. He was looking for a way to get rid of the hat without anyone really noticing.

Looking around he saw a statue of someone just standing there in the middle of the corridor. Odd place to put a statue, but it would work for ditching this itchy hat on his head. He could get back into the hat he was most comfortable in. Taking his hat off, he placed it on the head of the statue and grinned. "Perfect. Now I can put MY hat back on. Stupid beret!" Pie took his fedora out of his bag and smiled as the fabric of it touched his head. It was almost like his hair was rejoicing.

Celandine was minding her own business, really, she was. And HEY she knew that kid! What was he doing? Performance art? She watched him for a few moments, waiting to see if he'd do anything but apparently he was just... standing there.


OH. Oh wait! Was she supposed to..? Celandine looked at Pietro and unravelled the scarf that she just happened to be wearing and wrapped it around Divad's neck. There! Now at least, while he was just standing there, he'd be warm AND fashionable!

"I like your Fedora." Celandine observed casually to Pie before cocking her head to one side and examining Divad and his new threads.

Pity she didn't have a coat or earmuffs or something to donate.

Corridors at Hogwarts could get mighty drafty.

Pietro heard a girl's voice and immediately turned around to see the girl that made his friend freak out at the feast with her stockings. This time the girl wasn't very threatening. Or at least not extremely girly like the last time. Smiling he tipped his fedora at her and gestured towards the scarf.

"I like the scarf you put on him. I think he looks very presentable as a statue. A lot nicer looking than most of the statues around here anyway. I didn't catch your name when I saw you at the feast by the way. Mine's Pietro if you didn't catch it. Pie will work though! Everyone's calling me that anyway."

Pie wanted to contribute something else to the "statue" but he didn't really have anything else on him that he could put on him. A jacket would work wonders for the statue. Or maybe an umbrella!

"Oh! Is he being a statue? I was right; performance art!" Celandine exclaimed. "Celandine is my name. Call me Cela though it's a bunch easier and faster to say." She looked at him consideringly, "I think I like Pietro."

Why would someone just stand there in the middle of the corridor unless they were either petrified -and she was fairly certain he wasn't- or trying to make some kind of artistic or political statement? "I support you." Celandine whispered fiercely at Divad.

Y'know...

... for whatever reason it was that he was just standing there.

"Performance art? You mean this isn't a statue!?" Pietro's eyes widened as he looked back and forth between Celandine & the statue which was apparently NOT a statue. He still had a lot to learn at this school, obviously. "My uncle never told me about people doing performance art when he went here! This is weird!" Then something just clicked with Pietro. "Wait. You're the first person here that hasn't wanted to call me Pie." His head tilted up to look at the girl. He now considered her odd, but it in a good way.

"Expect the unexpected, Pietro." Celandine told him, much like she was imparting some deep and groundbreaking life lesson. "Sometimes it might look like someone is just... standing there, but it could really be anything. Who knows what someone who is just... standing there, is thinking? Maybe his miiiind is in another dimension!"

It was possible.

"Why call you Pie when Pietro is such an awesome name?" Celandine answered wtih a little toss of her head.

Okay now Pietro was VERY confused. All this talk about other dimensions and statues and someone was just STANDING in the middle of the corridor!? This school was weirder than his uncle made it out to be. "Okay so what you're saying is that if I see a person that looks like a statue in the middle of a corridor, then I should automatically assume that they are in another dimension?" This was new. This was very new. "If we're going by that then I'm going to start hanging things on them. Maybe it'll bring them back from the other dimension!" He had never been asked why people called him Pie instead of Pietro. "I guess people call me Pie because it's easier to pronounce. People still pronounce Pie wrong, though! They pronounce it like the food Pie when it's pronounced like peeaye."

"Yes. Let's roll with assuming they are in another dimension all the time." Celandine agreed quite seriously. "Well, we already stuck a hat and a scarf on him, And if that doesn't bring him back at least while he's just... standing there, he'll be warm and fashionable."

She slowly started inching away from Divad and beamed at Pietro.

"Well, maybe, I guess some people, if something looks like pie they can probably imagine it tastes and smells like pie too. Meaning it's pretty much pie. But Pietro is a good name; you should totally be proud of it. Own it."

Catherine stepped into the fifth floor corridor of the castle from the staircase. She kept her eyes on her feet but glanced up through her eyelashes at the other students who were having a conversation. It wouldn't be proper to intrude on their conversation, so she merely strolled down the corridor, looking at the tapestries as if in an art museum.

"I'm good, learned a foreign language, but that's about it," Rogue said. She just remembered what had happened to her aunt. "Oh, my father's sister, Aunt Jordyn got a job in the Ministry, Werewolf Registry," she added. "What about you?"

"Oh that's really cool, what language did you learn?" Amanda asked curiously, putting her guitar down on the floor beside her and putting her hands in her lap. "That's awesome, I just got a contract with Gibson guitars to design guitars for them." She said with a smile, as she picked up her guitar to show Rogue what she was coming up with.

"Em.....okay. At least he'll be nice and warm then." Pietro kept looking at the statue that was actually a person who he still did not know the name of. At least he looked nice for the corridor. "I can own my name! My first name's not the problem. It's living up to my last name that's the issue. Hopefully I'll be able to make my family proud. Especially my auntie. She used to teach here. Quite the scary lady she is."

"Ugh. I know what that feels like, the living up to stuff and tryin to make the family proud." Celandine agreed, making a little face. "Everyone here LOVES my brother. Especially the girls. He was voted Mr. Hogwarts a couple terms ago and had a bajillion points for Slytherin and had a bajillion girlfriends, like not all at once but... well pretty much." She made a face. "And I have four brothers all together and they are all, like, super good at everything. I have to get good marks in every subject. And I have scary family too."

Bonding. They were bonding.

Pietro was relieved to know he wasn't the only one who had some high expectations to live up to when he was at Hogwarts. Sometimes it was just overwhelming to think about the expectations he had to live up to but thankfully Cela seemed to have similar high expectations set for her with her siblings all going to Hogwarts. "That is a lot put on your plate. My uncle was Prefect here. He was always earning points for Hufflepuff and everyone loved him. My aunt used to teach Ancient Runes here and she expects me to excel in pretty much EVERYTHING here. My parents expect the same but they're not really around that much. They're always busy with work so I don't really get to see them that much." Cela was someone Pie felt he could trust with his burden of high expectations. She had the same issue he did so it was nice to have someone to talk to when he was stressed out. Or if he just needed someone to talk to about his family.

"My mother was in Hufflepuff." Celandine contibuted, My father and uncle were both Slytherins. And Nicholai, well... like I said, totally Slytherin. My other brothers all went to Durmstrang. I see my parents for like a week in every year." Celandine tossed her head, "I live with my Uncle and spend my summers in Italy with my grandmother."

So Pietro like, totally KNEW her now.

She grinned at him. "Pietro? Do you like candy?"

"You spend summer in Italy? You'll have to come visit me then because Italy's where I'm from! I usually end up staying at my uncle's place in Venice. My aunt has a VERY nice house in Sorento, but I only go there for holidays with my entire family." Pietro was excited now. Someone at Hogwarts semi-lived where he was from. He'd have a friend to spend his summers with. This made him a very happy camper. Then she had to go and mention candy. He got the biggest grin ever seen on an eleven year old boy on his face. "Cela, I'm eleven years old. I LOVE candy!"

"Venice. Nice and ooooh Sorrento really? That's not all that far from my favourite place to visit in the whole country, the Amalfi coast." Celandine grinned, "and we have a place in Positano too, but my grandmother's Villa is in Sicily, right up against the Madonie Mountains and on a lake front. It's super cool and unplottable." On account of it being owned by a pureblood family for an unimaginable amount of time.

"Well I'm fourteen and I love candy too. One of my stashes is behind the tapestry on the next floor down if you'd like some."
