In a pure panicked haste, Anna turned and started to head off in the opposite direction to urge those students to leave, as well. She didn'tget very far, though, as some nearby schoolmate proceeded to wrap their arm around her, causing Anna to lose her balance and stumble to the floor. Splashhhh... Oh, Carden was just going to get a kick out of that one, wasn't he? Face with red with embarrassment, Anna glanced up to see that Lyra had been the one to unintentionally knock her to the ground. Knowing her best friend meant well, Anna giggled and pushed herself up off the ground, clothes dripping with water. "It's alright! I'm oooohhhh-kay!" Anna said to Lyra.

Kazimeriz? Oh no, Kazimeriz! Surely he knew of the flood and had gotten out by now...but what if he hadn't. "Professor Kazimeriz! Yes, we do need to make sure he's made it out alright," she replied. "I'd skip the Kwazimoto if I were you, though...he could be in trouble! Quick! Help me urge everyone to go to higher ground, then you and I can run over there and get him!" There. Only a second or two more or urgung should do the trick, then Kazimeriz they would save! "Everyone, we really do need to get a move on. We could all be in very grave danger," she urged. "Lyra, please do try and convince the young Hufflepuff to come along..."

It was impossible to miss Anna Greingoth's voice as Evangeline walked through the dungeons ... her dungeons. Not Anna's. Hmpf. What was the girl doing here, anyway? Had they finally kicked her out of the seventh floor? Eh.

Only when she realised her socks were now rather ... hmm .. wet, did Evangeline understood Anna was infact down here doing some kind of .. social work. As always. But why was the corridor filled with water? Her first thought was that the new firsties had been doing some kind of experiment inside the common room that hadn't really worked out .. or maybe Myrtle had done something - that'd explain why she was here .... or maybe .. maybe..

....the lake.

Catching the Head Girl's last words, Evangeline moved across the water towards the porthole that lead to the Common Room. "So you've been standing here for five minutes, not knowing whether or not the ceiling could cave in at any minute, risking students' lives?" Evangeline hissed, not really talking at anyone in particular. Cough. Knowing Clifford would get the Slytherins ready to leave the Common Room, the Seventh Year pulled her robes up, though they were already soaked anyway. "The Slytherin House will be evacuated any minute now ... I'd like the corridor to be free when that happens. We can't jeopardize anyone's safety." And having said that, she nodded her head - still to noone - and got to her common room.

"Woooo." Laura stopped dead in her tracks as she rounded the corner of the dungeon corridor. She saw the Head Girl in front of her and that was enough to draw her steps short, and make her back up, right into someone behind her. Oooops...

That wasn't the thing to be 'Oooops-ing' about, though. There was water everywhere! It literally looked as if someone had tried to relocate the lake to inside of the castle. Lauras feet were imediatley drenched.

"Wh-what happened?" she choaked.

Hearing her co-prefect address her, Anna turned and came face to face with Evangeline Green. She was fully aware that the girl...and her boyfriend, for that matter...didn't like her at all, but Anna was determined to attempt to get along with them all the same. After all, they were all prefects, and Clifford and Anna were Head Boy and Head Girl. Getting along would have to be a requirement if they were going to work together at all. "No," Anna politely answered Evangeline. "We've been here for about ten minutes now working to urge all the students to a higher floor of the castle. You're right, the ceiling could unfortunately cave in at any moment, but I'm hoping we can get all the students to safety before that happens." Anna nodded when Evangeline said she'd like the corridor to be free. "Yes, that what we're doing now. I'm glad you're here to help. We could use another prefect to help get all the students out."

With that, Evangeline seemed to be heading off to her Common Room, so Anna turned to urge more students out. "Everyone, please! I beg of you to stop coming onto the dungeon corridor and move up a few floors. We need everyone into the Great Hall, please!"

Water continued seeping in, rising fast. It was now at waist level and continually rising... The water was cold and dark, green, and murky... and no spell was going to stop its ascent.

Out of nowhere, the water level began to increase dramatically. Other people were coming in, and others were leaving. The water level only reached the older students waste, but little Cyrus was TINY. His little frame was only 4’7’’, and the water was up around his shoulders.

Not that he was scared though. “WHO WANT’S TO PLAY MARCO POLO?!?!” He yelled through chattering teeth, the water WAS extremely cold. He loved games in the pool, and how the whole dungeon was like a gigantic pool. How fun!

The water continued to rise and Laura was still bewildered. What on earth had happened. She saw a tiny Hufflepuff boy almost going under. She gasped, but he was acting like it happened every day. He was even requesting to play Marco Polo! Laura couldn't help but laugh, and swallowed a lot of dirty water in the process.
"Urgg!" she said. "Yuckk!" Then, half swimming, half wadding, she made her way over to the tiny boy.

"Hey! I'm Laura. Do you want any help getting out?" she asked, clutching the back of his robes as his head almost went under.

EEEK! Why was she looking at him like that!? What did he dooo? He still wasn't used to this whole working with Anna Greingoth thing, but he was TRYING! Trying his bloody hardest too. Hmpf. "Right, no problem I'll take care of it," he nodded when she mentioned the Common Room. She could take care of things here for now.. his house need him! Plus, he was thankful for the excuse to get away from Myrtle. He was quite sure the ghost wanted to snog his face off, and quite frankly, that was scarier than the thought of drowning.

.. and that water was getting higher and higher. Oh Merlin he was going to die.

And AHA there was Evangeline. If he was going to die, at least he got to see her one last time. Sniffle. After pulling a face at Lyra, tongue poked out, Clifford spun and waded his way toward the Common Room. They really needed to get everyone out NOW.

Ohh. Oh, no. This...was...not...good. No, no. Not good at all. Oh, no! Swim for your lives!!! Eyes wide and death practically staring her in the eyes, Anna turned and headed over to that little Hufflepuff friend of Legend's and a Ravenclaw girl nearby. Were they even going to listen to her?!? No, they didn't seem to be. Oh, this moment did not lend itself to politeness!

"Alright, alright! Out you go," she said, grabbing each by a hand and tugging at them to swim for their lives. "Can you two swim?" Merlin, please tell me they can swim...please. Hopefully they'd make it to the detention halls before her head was entirely submerged. "Swimmm!!!" she called out.

Iris waded her way out of the common room quickly with Aaron, Luna's basket held high above her head, quickly turning left she tried to run quicker towards the main stair case, pausing slightly to tell that girl and boy "come on, Hurry up!" before carrying on.

Aaron made his way into the corridor with Iris. Great, all wet. They started basically jogging toward the stairs. Iris was still all freaked out.

"Hey, are you okay?" Aaron said hoping to comfort her.

Jule walked down to the dungeons. She saw the water had rapidly increased. She was about to go further when she heard the head girl, Anna. "I better not. I don't want another demerit or detention because of her."

"no! I really don't like being in water, I can't swim!" she cried, " and, and ... and Luna! I don't want her to get wet, the water doesn't look clean, she might get ill! come on, lets go quickly!"

Laura felt the Head Girl grab her from behind. "Yess!" she choaked. "I can swim!" Ducking down into the murky water, Laura undid her shoelaces. Then she came back up spluttering and tied the laces together and slung them around her neck. Rubbing sludge out of her eyes, Laura began to swim away form the scene, kicking out with sharp stroaks. She had done a lot of swimming before and her inititive kicked in.

Taking a deep breath, Laura ducked under the water again and came up about five meters from where she was previously. She carried on in this way, hoping to get out soon....

"oh" Aaron said shocked, "Okay." They made it to the stairs and ran up them. Guess who fell? "Ow!" Aaron said hitting the marble.

April waded out of the common room into the equally deep corridor. She was freezing now, her teeth chattering as she hurried as fast as she could down the corridor and up the stairs. I hope I don't get a cold! She thought. Though she'd take a cold than something worse, that water didn't look too hygienic. April reached the end of the corridor out of the dungeons. Thank goodness, dry land! She thought as she ascended up to the rest of the castle.

Iris turned around and saw Aaron on the floor, half covered by the water, "come on Aaron, get up, quick;ly!" she cried.

Cy was treading water happily, yet FREEZINGLY, as another girl pretty much swan over to him. She was eager to leave? That wasn’t quite on his agenda, he loved water! If only there were some waves and he had his surfboard…

“No mate, I’m just dandy. Me’ names Cy, by the way.” She’d given him her name, after all.

Then that older girl he’d talked to at the first was GRABBING HIM. Who’d she think she was anyways? (He’d fortunately FORGETTEN that she was indeed the head girl. Cy’s brown eyes scowled up at her. “What do yah’ think you’re doing, miss?” He started to swim effortlessly toward the exit, if everyone else was leaving there was no one to play marco polo with… “Of course I can swim. I’m like a fish, jus’ no gills. Actually, I’m probably like a shark…” His voice was drowned out as some water splashed over his face.

“Anyways, where ah’ we supposed to go?” He asked the head girl as he continued to swim, his teeth were chattering and coughing up a bit of water.

Laura heard the boy mention that his name was Cy. "Alright Cy," she shouted over her shoulder. Then she spotter Jule up ahead. "Right Cy, lets just get to the entrance hall, and then we'll be fine. If your desperate to play Marco Polo, you should come Scuba Diving with me and some other Ravenclaws one day." She was still swimming, and by now was quite near to the door.

"Jule," she shouted. "I'm nearly out."

Jule had heard Laura's voice before she left. "Laura!? Laura!! Where are you?!" she called out.

"I'm here!" Laura shouted as her head came up out of the water again. She climed up the rest of the stairs into the entrance hall.

Anna turned towards the young Hufflepuff kid and blinked in pure amazement. Was he attempting to carry on nonchalant conversation at a time like this?!? Oh, Merlin, these first years were going to drive her insane before the holiday break even arrived! Growling just a little, Anna took the hand that was currently enclosed around Cy's and gave him a hard tug. She was going to swim him right on out this corridor if her life depended on it! Clifford and Evangeline were down here escorting everyone out. Anna was needed elsewhere. There were people still in detention, after all.

Anna continued to tug until Cy was on her back. "You, stay. Now," she instructed, holding on to him with one hand, while using the other to swim out the corridor. "Cyrus Andrus, you are not to simply stand around chit-chatting while we're all in such grave danger, do you understand? You could have easily gotten both you and that young Ravenclaw killed by floating around aimlessly making small-talk introductions. You'll stay on my back until I've brought you to safety. At that point, you're to proceed to the Great Hall. No wandering around causing trouble either, young man. I'll be up there momentarily, and I expect you to be there," she said. When she reached the point where she could lift Cy to safety, she swung him around and pushed with all her might until he was standing on solid ground. "Off you go now. Oh, and Cy, do tell your friends to stay put, too."

Once Cy was safely up, Anna turned and addressed those still floating around. "Clifford and Evangeline are here. They need you to leave now, so please do so. Follow the route I've just taken Cy," she said. Oh, Merlin, please let them listen. For now, Anna needed to swim to detention hall. Hopefully she'd get there before it was too late. Taking one last look at the damage, Anna sighed and swam off.

Jule helped Laura and together they walked to the entrance hall. "so how was the swim?" she joked. "I wouldve gone but the head girl was there and I don't want her getting me in trouble again. Though I found it funny."

Great. See? Now all her robes were completely wet. But they had to get out of the Dungeons. Not because someone instructed them to do so, but because it was necessary.

Unless you wanted to drown some time soon.

And Kaika didn't want that to happen. Not to her. She had tryouts coming up for Merlin's sake.

Here came Anna. She should've left Cy in here, but, then again, that wasn't too ethical, no? Good thing the boy was now safe.

Kaika nodded and simply started to head up, up to the Entrance Hall or some place away from the Dungeons.

Ew! Ew! Ew! Green, mucky, dark, icky, water was touching her and it was slimmmmyyyy! Lyra paused for a moment as those Slytherin's were just ill-bread people with no thought to a decent personality. She looked at the so-called female Slytherin Prefect that seemed to be hissing at Banana. NO.ONE.HISSED.AT.BANANA.

"And they made her Prefect because..." Lyra hissed back as she watched the girl make her way towards the common room....finally! "No time like the present to stop talking and act." She turned to everyone and began heading toward the stairs.

"Come on everyone, let's give the Slytherins the room to evacuate properly since someone has to tell them to leave the water," she spoke smartly once again. This was crazy, she was going up the stairs and to the first floor, making sure that no one else came down here.
