Seeing that she was more than just a little low on her stock of chocolate frogs, Anna made her way inside Honeydukes. The candy shop was her absolute favorite shop in Hogsmeade, and she never failed to end up there each and every time the students were allowed to come and visit. It was too bad Cale couldn't come with her this time, though. She'd asked him, but he'd said something about having too much homework and not enough time to come visit Hogsmeade. Psh. When did Cale Newell ever have too much homework to the point where he couldn't even visit Hogsmeade? Psh...apparently this weekend. Anna sighed and made a beeline for the chocolate frog display. If nothing else, she guessed she could just buy what she needed and then head right back to the school. She was either really, really early, or no one was going to come to Hogsmeade this weekend. She looked around the empty store, wishing now she'd just decided to stay in the Common Room or something like that.

Rian's head was down and she was counting her money as she walked into the candy shop. She only had two bags of Chocolate frogs...and that was definately not a good thing. Once Rian got below one bag, she would be out of the candy in less than a week. She strode straight for the frogs, pulling a few sickles out of her pocket as she went.

She nodded to Anna when she saw the Prefect also by the chocolate frogs, and picked up a bag. She smiled at the treats, probably looking mental, and headed for the counter to buy them.

23 skidoo!

That's how Professor Kapoor was going to feel after he got a big load of Coconut Ice in his system. He was trying to be good. The Mrs. warned him about over doing sugar this year, and in fact, he hadn't had anything sweet since the opening feast.

He stood in line peering into the counters display glass getting a scope of other things he might convince himself to buy for good and studious 'students'. Yes. For the students.

Cela hurtled through the door of the candy store... yes she was supposed to wait for Metal-Mouth; but Celandine figured she'd easily enough be able to visit Honeyduke's twice. Or... maybe three or four times if she could convince that many people to accompany her... A thoughtful expression crossed her face and she smooshed her face against the glass case, somehow having weaved in front of Anna, Rian and even a professor in her sugarfiendish excitement.

She began to do some quick maths, calculating what to buy on this, her first trip. A galleon worth of mixed fudge, 2 galleons worth of an assortment of hand made candies... yes that for now. She'd get some of the others with Garret. And maybe Jillian. And Copernicus. And Barry. And Plymouth. And Kayla. And Maddox. And... well as long as they didn't know that she was going along with all of them, the possibilities were endless! And she'd have enough fuel to last forever!

She smiled brightly at the shopkeeper as her purchases were handed over, the last of the coconut ice scooped up into her candy bag. Hmmm. Yum.

A look of pure distress painted itself across the old professors face as the last of the coconut ice went away...into a little girls candy bag...lost...forever!

He looked to the shopkeeper with a twinge of desperation to inquire as to when the next of the batches of coconut ice would be ready. He nearly cried when it was told that the wait would be at least 5 hours. Good heavens!! He didn't have that kind of time.

He looked to the little girl, now recognizing her as a Ravenclaw student by the name of Celandine Toussaint. He studied her a moment wondering if a Leo like her might be willing to part with the candy for any reason whatsoever. He guessed not and that it would be wrong of a Professor to haggle with a student. But, oh, the coconut ice of it all!

"Miss Toussaint! Enjoying your Hogsmeade weekend?" He said, starting off the conversation, warm and friendly-like.

"Oh, I'm not enjoying it yet, but I will soon." Cela answered honestly, thinking of all the people she could convince to buy her candy now that big brother wasn't about to do that scary, disapproving, big brother glare. Which reminded her.

"Professor Kapoor! I keep forgetting, I have a whole bunch of letters and things I'm supposed to give to people, I was supposed to do it an entire month ago but things keep on happening and I keep forgetting or doing homework instead," Cela paused, enjoying the way the coconut ice melted in her mouth, "But I have a letter for you from Nicholai! And a present! I don't know what it is, he wrapped it up good and charmed it so it won't shake or anything," Cela pouted, immediately indicating she was the type to poke and prod at a gift to figure out what it was. Better just forget the wrap with Celandine Toussaint.

"But anyway, he isn't here this term. Maybe you noticed? I noticed! It is quieter! Less sighing girls and crying girls and Slytherin are losing- I mean... not doing so well." Cela took the opportunity to have a moment of silence for Slytherin's obvious loss, "But you know? That doesn't matter, Nicholai being gone is fine, but it's a sheer tragedy that Will, who is the best prefect in the history of Hogwarts; is gone too!" Cela sighed and held up her candy bag, a bright smile on her face, "Want some candy, Professor Kapoor?"

"I...", he began as he watched Miss Toussaint pop a piece of coconut ice into her mouth and eat it rather languidly. "I...Oh, nothing. I was just going to get a bit of the nougat pieces." He said, trying to be convincing and probably succeeding to the naked eye.

"Oh, no need to apologize for that, my dear. You should be doing your homework. Your friends 'n all that, it'll all be there when you're done." Kapoor repressed a patch of laughter at the commentary on Nicolai's effect on the school and the recent look of the schools hourglass. "No, I don't suppose they are doing as well as they once were. But, perhaps that is also because you have been so diligent about turning in your homework and being a good student." He said, just having to get that two sickles in. "And, I quite agree about Prefect Jones. He was quite a fine prefect that boy was, wasn't he?" He sighed, remembering those two fine, upstanding male students. Ha! If only the Professor knew the half of it!

Did she? She did just offer him some candy! She did!

"Oh, I couldn't. My wife really doesn't want me touching the sweets this year." He said, pausing a moment to reconsider the fact that Nandita was quite a fair distance away from him at the moment. "But, I suppose what she doesn't know can't hurt her." He held out a cupped hand so that she could share.

Celandine considered the professor's response for a moment and shook her head, "If you are sure... nougat is kind of healthy..." Oh! Copernicus might like the nougat! Cela made a mental note to point it out to the older boy. Her friend. She smiled brightly at the thought.

"Well. I am trying to be a better Ravenclaw this term," Cela agreed, "Climb less trees, do more homework. But I keep making new friends. I have enough now I think." Celandine said sincerely, wondering if she'd ever have to write as many letters as Nicholai had given her to pass on to his friends. Celandine nodded and a small smile of satisfaction appeared on her face (but it might have been from the coconut ice), "It's also because I'm a Toussaint, Sir."

Celandine enjoyed talking about how wonderful Will was with anyone, "Oh he was! I wish he was my brother instead of Nicholai sometimes. Will only had two girls getting in a twist over him." Nooooo point counting for Nico.

"Oh well, I won't tell your wife if you don't tell my brother!" Celandine smiled brightly, "I'm not supposed to have any candy either! I get a little bit excited and talk alot and I've actually already had quite a bit in the last few days. House elves." Cela added in cryptic explanation.

Celandine tipped a selection of the candy and fudge from her bag, into Kapoor's cupped hands (only two bits of coconut ice managing to spill their way out).

"Sooooo, how come you aren't allowed candy, Professor?" Cela asked, sucking on a piece of fudge.

"Ah, yes, a Toussaint. Your brother explained to me the high standard of your family once before." He said, recalling the conversation he had with him while the two of them were polishing up the telescopes. "Only two? Well,...I suppose that'd be all that Prefect Jones could've handled. I heard one of them was Miss Yaxley." 'And, that one alone would be plenty enough for any young man at the school.' He thought, considering the young ladys' fiery temperment.

The Professor nodded appreciatively at the prospect of keeping the word of their candy-eating to themselves, but his look of smiling appreciation quickly faded as the young Ravenclaw ambiguously placed the words 'house elves' as a means for explaining why she was to watch her sugar intake.

"Mmmwraom -irreeely mam ma naom...!" He began with a mouth full of chewy candy before swallowing. "I'm sorry. You see, it's not really that I'm not allowed to have any candy. My wife just thinks I ought to lose a bit of a weight. I suppose she's right. And, I figure I ought to lose it while I'm still young." He smiled.

Celandine nodded with obvious conviction; she was mostly pretty proud of her family. But then; there was an awful lot Cela didn't know. "Yes. Jaimine Steele and Camira Yaxley... and Camira was special friends with my brother too." Cela noted, "She has alot of friends who are boys. Like me... oh hey I should talk to her!"

Camira might have some insight about certain things; surely she knew as much about weird boys as she did about boys like Nicholai? And Evolette too! Yes, Cela made up her mind there and then to plant herself outside the slytherin common room and get a few answers. Hopefully from a different perspective than the one she'd gotten from Anna.

"Lose weight?" Celandine eyed the professor up and down, "Oh well, I can help you if you like! Do you climb trees? Or..." Cela hesitated and a speculative look crossed her face, "how are you on rollerskates?"
Celandine ate another piece of coconut ice and smiled brightly at the professor as she nibbled on it.

Kayla wandered into the candy shop in the hopes of stocking up on her fudge supplies. You just can't go through a whole school year without having plenty of fudge. She made a beeline straight for the shelves that held her beloved fudge, accidentally bumping into...oops it was the divination professor. "Oh my apologies Professor Kapoor, I didn't mean to knock into you but once I set my eyes on that fudge well I don't let anything get in my way" she gave a small nervous giggle.

She looked around the Professor to see who he was talking to and she rolled her eyes. "Why am I not surprised to see you here Celandine." Kayla gave the younger girl a smile and then put her hand over her eyes. "I saw nothing" she muttered. For just one day she didn't want to have to look out for someone and be the big meanie pants.

She shook herself out of her little sulk when Celandine spoke to her. "This is true" she agreed with a sigh. "Unfortunately the first years are keeping me rather busy" now that was an understatement. "But not today, I don't care if they start a food fight in the pub or run up the main street naked" Kayla gave Professor Kapoor a fleeting glance before continuing, "it's my day off and I'm going to enjoy it."

Kayla looked back at Celandine and smirked. "But I have the feeling you haven't exactly gone out of your way to be found by me either." Whatever the younger girl managed to get herself into...Nicholai was going to find out but Kayla decided to keep that to herself.

The professor couldn't help but let a snicker out at the euphemism Celandine used. 'Special friends'. Oh dear. What had Nicolai been telling his little sister? "Oh, rollerskates and I don't exactly agree. But, I had climbed a tree once or twice many moons ago, and I do enjoy a bit of yoga every now and again. I find it really, rather calming." He began to say as the Hufflepuff Prefect entered Honeydukes and bumped into him.

Speaking of which, he took one of the precious pieces of coconut ice that had fallen into his palm when Celandine decided to share her candy and he popped into his mouth while the two girls...caught up. "That's right! You've got to enjoy your time off while you've got it!" He said, obliviously to the free and easy clothing-optional commentary.

As she continued to stare down the chocolate frog display, Anna heard the door open several times, meaning more and more students were filing in, and she was no longer alone with all the candy a girl could need. She supposed that was a good thing, though. Maybe if she had a distraction or two, she wouldn't end up buying so much candy. After picking up ten or so frogs, Anna turned around to see who'd graced her with their presence. She smiled when she noticed her Divination professor and two close friends in the store.

"Professor Kapoor...Cela...Kayla," she greeted, nodding at each one as she said their names. "I guess we all had the same thing on our minds, huh?" She eyed Cela suspiciously. Wasn't the girl supposed to stay away from sugar or something like that? Oh, well. Let the girl have a little fun every once in a while. Besides, she was a Ravenclaw, not a Gryffindor. If she got too wound up, it'd be Rachel and Cale's responsibiliy to calm her down. Anna laughed softly and then picked up a few jelly slugs for Cale...and a few more for herself.

Kayla had to refrain from rolling her eyes being called Prefect Winters...just being called Kayla would make her happy. "It's good to see you Professor, I hope you had a good summer?" she watched as he popped some coconut ice into his mouth and her own began to water, she needed fudge and she needed it now. She nodded to the Professor as she inched her way over to the shelves. "Too right" she replied as she began putting some fudge into a bag. "And I intend to do just that, next stop is the Three Broomsticks for sure."

Wasn't the girl supposed to stay away from sugar or something like that? Oh, well. Let the girl have a little fun every once in a while. Besides, she was a Ravenclaw, not a Gryffindor. If she got too wound up, it'd be Rachel and Cale's responsibiliy to calm her down. Anna laughed softly and then picked up a few jelly slugs for Cale...and a few more for herself.

As she was stocking up on her fudge, Kayla turned at the sound of a familiar voice and smile spread across her face. "Annnnaaaa" she squealed happily. "I see you have the same idea as the rest of us." Kayla noticed Anna eyeing Cela and her candy and she sighed deeply. "I know, I'm on it" she said in a low voice. "I'm prepared to let it go for now, so long as she doesn't do anything dangerous...like sliding down staircases on glisseoed cushions" Kayla chuckled in spite of herself.

A wondrous place full of tantalizing sights and smells. It was enough to make him sick. Holding back the bile, Helios dared venture inside.

A candy store? Good gracious, what was Freya thinking? 'I must be mental to come in here...' She thought as she strolled around the shop and taking in the sights. Okay, chocolate was alright sometimes, but all those sour and sticky, gummy, powdery...ugh. Freya couldn't stomach it, but children seemed to like sweets enough, so she would probably end up getting a couple of bags to send home by owl...for the sake of the children.

Nathaniel was glad to be out of his school robes for a change. He was ~~walking~~ riding his skateboard around Hogsmead in nice fitting jeans,a maroon colored t-shirt that had custom made with a Gryffindor logo on the front and a yellow thermal under it and a beanie on his head.Nathaniel was passing by when he spotted Freya.What was she doing in Honey Dukes? He knew for a FACT that she didn't like candy. He had offered it to her many times last term. He grabbed his board and walked in behind her "What are you doing here?" he asked her.

A slow sigh rose from inside him and escaped through open lips. Kayla was making this trip more stressful than it needed to be.

Deep breath. And smile.

"Kayla! You know my royalty means little here. You are the one with the power. Keep the badge pinned tight to your robes, so it does not go to your head." Smiling? Joking? What in Hades was wrong with him?

That smile was shifting into a grin as he pretended to know what he was looking at on a random shelf. "Let us pretend I thought of someone besides myself: What do I buy?"

"Oh ha ha. He's a comedian as well as a Prince" Kayla placed her hands on her hips and glared at Helios, completely oblivious to the fact that there was a Professor in the vicinity. "Can you do magic tricks too?" Taunting him was such fun.

"Hmm...well that depends. Is it for a boy or a girl?" Kayla smirked, knowing full well who he was buying for...ah but she would get to that soon enough. First she had to have her fun, no Prefect status for her today.

Oh, she was just kidding.

After being confused and mystified by the colorful confections, the prince turned to face Kayla. Noticing her posture, his hands moved to his hips, attempting to look as dominating as Kayla, despite the smile tugging at the edges of his mouth. "If you must know...a girl."

Helios took a daring step forward, nearly stepping on Kaylas toes. "Maybe I was getting something for you. Some sweets may help the sour mood you always seem to be in when I am around." He tried to glare, but couldn't help but laugh.

I figured they would like something...you know, that kind of stuff." Freya placed a hand on her side bag and shifted her weight to her right leg. "What about you? Shopping for your girlfriend?"
