This time of year always had Miles thinking mixed feelings. One; he was happy that he finally completed another year here, and in reward to this, he was given lots and lots of yummy food. And two; he was leaving, to go back to boring Lacock, full of old people and antique shops. It also meant he was closer to the event he was dreading the most.

Graduation.

It wasn't like he was afraid that he wouldn't graduate, but the thought that he wasn't going to come here ever again loomed over him like a murky grey rain cloud. Eww. Fortunatley for him though, he still had two more years, so not all was lost. At this point, all he had was foooooood.

Miles walked over to the Slytherin table with a big grin on his face, forgetting about the ever dawning graduation, and started filling his plate full of food.

Vanessa always seemed to sit at this table, it was probably for one certain reason, and she could see him sitting at the table. Smiling she walked towards where he was sat. "Hey Miles," She sat down next to him. She giggled as she saw that he was filling his plate with food. As per usual. "How are you?" She asked as she put some food onto her plate. She liked the end of term feast, although it meant that they were going home. And that some people were leaving. But she didn't think that anyone she knew that well was leaving this term. No tears hopefully.

Freya reached into her cloak pocket for a moment and then took out her green stone that she had found earlier. 'So far it just seems like an ordinary rock...what could be so special about it?' She rolled it in between her fingers for a moment, then with a sigh she though, 'Oh well...at least nobody was hurt. Maybe something will happen over break.' Freya put it back in her pocket.
After a few moments she rested her chin in her left hand and stared at her plate, which only had a few tiny pieces of food on it anyway, so she began to move them around carelessly with her fork. She wasn't very hungry after all that had happened, 'How people can eat at a time like this is beyond me...' Thinking about the term now she wondered what on Earth could possibly happen to her next, surely it wouldn't come close to this?

Miles' face lit up, as if possible, when he saw Vannie. He stopped eating as he embraced her as she sat down. "Hey." He smiled, moving his plate away fro her sight, so she couldn't see that he was stuffing his face. If she knew him at all, she would know that he was doing it anyway, regardless of evidence.

"I'm .. ok. End of term feast likes to throw around emotions." There he was, talking about emotions as if he was some girl. WHICH HE WASN'T, he just had a few feelings here and there, and it was better than bottlig them all up until he exploded. That would be a mess. "And you?"

Vannie smiled as he embraced her and she hugged him back, before shifting slightly, so that she could see him. She noticed as he moved his plate away from her, obviously not wanting her to see how much he was eating. She didn't really care how much he ate, as long he was happy. Picking up her fork she ate some chicken before she spoke again.

"I'm good. A bit glad to go home," She nodded as she looked around the great hall quickly, there were a lot of people there already. "Are you looking forward to seeing Sylvia?" She asked, already knowing the answer kind of because she knew how well they both got along. She was kind of looking forward to seeing her sisters, a little bit.

"Me too, I guess. Lacock's a bit boring." Miles laughed, but quickly quietened as he noticed her eyeballing is plate. EEK! Even though she knew what he was like with food, he didn't want to look like a greedy pig. He would stuff his face later, along with other guys who don't like eating like pigs in front of their girlfriends.

"Course. But I'll miss you more." Miles smirked, it might have been true. He loved both of them to bits, and both in different ways. But it was nice to let her know anyway. "She'll be pleased to see me. And I'll have to let Terry come over, so she can glow full of happiness for a day." He laughed.

"Aww. You should come to my house," Vanessa nodded, with a smile. She would like that a lot, as would her mother. She knew that her mother would be looking for an excuse to see Miles. She looked up at him as he quitened down, and she smiled. "You don't have to hide how much you eat in front of me Miles," She hoped he believed her, she really didn't mind at all.

"Of course you will," She smirked, as she pushed a strand of her hair over her ears. "I'm very missable," She giggled as she looked at him. "At least she won't bother you." She nodded, her sister's bothered her a lot when they were bored. "Maybe we should meet up in Diagon alley some time, so I can see her. Maybe before my birthday?"

Threading through the students milling about the Great Hall, Terry made a beeline for the Slytherin Tables, sauntering up to a spare seat as soon as he caught sight of Evolette and Hugo...He blinked again just to check. Hugo!

'HUGO,' He roared, thumping his best friend on the back slightly before pulling him straight out of his seat into a ginormous hug. 'Where on earth have you been my whole life?' Terry complained, holding out the blond at arm's length to scrutinise his body. Hrrm, he still had a couple pounds over him. Good. 'I could almost kiss you,' He teased, contemplating whether he should change his mind and do so anyway. 'But for your own sake, and maybe mine too, I won't.'

Grinning, he swept over to Evolette, pecking both cheeks quickly then rubbed her shoulder in greeting, as he slid into a seat across from the two. 'Anywho, weird huh? To think all three of our's first term here is nearly over? I swear only a couple ago we were wandering around Diagon Alley looking for our stuff...'

Evolette was waiting on Hugo to answer her when suddenly someone else joined them. For a moment, she was jealous. This was her best friend! Who in the world was interrupting them... oh it was Terry, well that was fine.

She gave him a smile as he kissed her cheeks, then poured a new glass of pumpkin juice, sipping it before handing it over to Hugo. "I know what you mean. It would be worse if we weren't going to see each other over the summer." she added, tossing a glance at Hugo.

'Aaah, I keep forgetting we've all the summer holidays to meet up,' Terry nodded thoughtfully, 'What d'ya say Hugo? Us three plus Miles hooking up during then sound good?'

He eyed Evolette pouring out a goblet of pumpkin juice, and then swiped it out her hand, downing a healthy gulp. He held out the goblet to Hugo. 'Hah, I was thirsty,' Terry offered apologetically, his facial expression looking anything but as he tried to swallow down his smirk.

Evolette pouted when Terry stole her glass of pumpkin juice. "Hey!" she whined, reaching over and slapping at his arm. Arching an eyebrow, she nodded at the suggestion, "Yes, but, no beaches." she added, smirking at Terry before looking over to refill Hugo's glass.

Sarah came in and jumped over to the slytherin table. 2 years at hogwarts and she felt like she had been here forever. She piled her plate high and tucked in.

Penelope looked up to the staff table.
'I really have no idea who could possibly replace her.'
She thought about the train ride home.
'Hey Freya do you want to sit with me on the train back home?'

Freya nodded while she still moved around some scraps of food with her fork, 'Don't play with your food.' She stopped herself and looked up to Penelope, "I suppose I can do that." Freya responded with a small smile. "Of course I'll be bringing my two owls into the compartment with me, and my bag. Will you keep your owl with you?" She placed her bag on the table. "Everything else is too big to be in the compartment." 'Even if it is only one trunk...' Freya sighed a little bit, "I always used to think that I had a lot of personal possessions. But when I actually think about it a bit I realize that I have very little. Not that it's bad, just..." She shrugged. It always seemed like she had a lot more when she was home, because most of the furnishings took up quite a bit of space. And her mother had belongings that she had collected over her lifetime...

Biff laughed at the girl with her plate stacked high. " Well, young lady, have you not eaten allsemester?" Biff asked her. " my name is Biff Harrington the Third and I am always glad to meet a fellow Slythein" Biff said to her.

"As long as I'm with you I'll happily go anywhere." Nicholai responded, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead. He smiled at her gently, noting her grimace. "That was my fault you know; I was proving a point." He nodded as she spoke and paused to think about where her parents might like to go.

"Singapore." Nicholai repeated equably. "So, we stick them on a tour and go along too. We can see all the sights and watch them enjoy themselves." He took a sip of his drink and watched her eat from his plate over the rim of his cup.

"Me? The life of the party?" Nicholai smirked, "Oh I don't know about that; I expect Kayla and I will make ourselves scarce for a while." Nicholai smirked slightly, "Can't be the life of the party if you are absent for most of it."

He paused and smiled at Whitney, "I'll have to introduce you to my sister."

Kayla smiled up at him. "Well there are other places to go of course" she gave him a wink and scooped up some more food off the plate. She swallowed a piece of chicken and placed the fork back on the plate. "You know your uncle scares the living daylights out of me" Kayla confessed. "If you could keep him busy over the summer I would be most appreciative, I'm just not ready to face him...yet."

Her face brightened immensely. "That is a brilliant idea. We get to keep an eye on them and spend time together as well" she sighed faintly after a moment. "I really wish that you could meet them though" but of course they didn't even know about her so they wouldn't particularly care at the moment. "We really need to find out who holds the contract on their lives" she added in a whisper. "Because I really want them back."

"I sure hope so." she said honestly. Whitney really wanted to do well on her next exams. "Aww hun, I'm sorry; you're here now though,and that's what really matters." she said wondering what had happened,but not wanting to be nosy. "The past is the past."
"Oooooh!" she said raising her eyebrows, "Well, I hope you have plenty of fun alone with Kayla." she added with a wink. "Actually, you can. There are ways.

He had a sister? "You have a sister?" 'Well that makes plenty of sense.' "So than she's the life of the party in the family,huh?" Whitney replied laughing.

"Of course." Nico agreed, unconcerned. He speared the last piece of apple and chewed it slowly. When he was done he slowly began to carve the tabletop, not looking up at Kayla as she spoke of his uncle. "I expect it will be the other way around, mon coeur; he will be keeping me fairly busy." he looked up at her and offered a brief smile before directing his attention at the tabletop again.

"I will one day." Nicholai nodded and placed the knife down, examining his handiwork. It was cheesy but N.T + K.W would be forever as far as he was concerned. He looked at Kayla thoughtfully as she whispered. "Keiran is working on it you know." And he'd be looking into it himself along with the issue with the Leonards. He casually withdrew his wand and flicked it at the carved wood, sealing it so their initials would be permanent.

Nicholai laughed at Whitney's comment. "Oh I'm sure I will." he nodded, "I do, Celandine Toussaint; she's a second year Ravenclaw and most certainly could be described as the life of the party." Nico shook his head. "Don't give her sugar." he warned.

Evolette's ears perked when she caught the familiar voice of Nicholai Toussaint. Tossing her head, causing her dark locks to fall from her shoulders, she craned her neck until her blue eyes finally found him. He was sitting not too far from her, with..... Kayla. KAYLA? No way!

"'Sucse me." she said to Terry and Hugo, barely having time to form a complete sentence before jumping up and rushing over.

"Nicholai." she crooned, crossing her arms lightly, "What have we here? Have the two of you finally made up then?" Okay, not so subtle, but she was excited.

"Oh well" she murmured. "So long as I can keep him away from myself for as long as possible" Kayla chewed on her lip thoughtfully for a moment. It might be a good idea for her to keep Noah close by, she had wanted to be able to spend time alone without having to resort to her bodyguards but it looked as though that might be impossible. She followed his gaze and looked at the table and smiled at his handiwork.

Kayla nodded trying to get the happy thoughts back again. "Yes definitely and I think they'll be very pleased with my choice of boyfriend too." She gave him a small kiss on the cheek and lingered there for a moment before moving back again. "Your brother must be so sick of me and my problems. I appreciate everything he is doing for me and I just hope that one day I can make it up to him."

Whitney was so slow with anything going on around Hogwarts. "Well isn't that nice to know." Than her jaw dropped. How could Nico not want her to give someone sugar. It's every persons best friend. "But...but...sugar! If that's what makes her the life of a party, than I neeeeeed to give her sugar." Whitney then realized she was talking about someone she'd never even met. "I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens when I meet her."

Penelope thought about her posessions.
'Yes, I'm keeping my owl with me, but not anything else'.
She wondered about her trunk.
'Well, I think less stuff is better then being cluttered personally.'
She smiled

"Evolette." Nico greeted her with an easy smile, eyes flicking over her casually before turning to look for... there he was. Nicholai nodded politely at Terry and with his arm still around Kayla's shoulder, squeezed her gently. He looked back up at Evee and smiled, "Something like that. So I take it that you approve?"

"We can work on that." Nicholai nodded at Kayla, "I'll teach you everything you need to know to be able to deal with him." He smiled again, "Though in the long run since I'm his heir and all, its more myself that you should be worried about pleasing." he cocked his eyebrow at her and then grinned, "boyfriend? How mundane. More than that surely, mon coeur."

Nicholai shook his head in amusement, "Don't say I didn't warn you Whitney." Nicholai looked down the table at Raiden and then at Evolette standing near him, "You might just change your mind about that if she gets you a detention for being in the wrong place at the wrong time." He grinned brightly, "Don't get me wrong I love my little sister to pieces but she isn't at all easy to keep up with."

Kayla looked up at the sound of Evolette's voice and she smiled brightly at the older girl. Of all Nico's female friends, Evolette was definitely her favourite. "Hey Evolette, it's good to see you again and ahem not in the arms of my Nicholai" she giggled softly. Kayla was not remotely jealous over that incident but a little teasing never hurt either.

Kayla took his hand in hers and squeezed it gently. "I think that would be a very good idea" she listened quietly as he spoke again and chuckled. "Well this is very true..."she stood up from the chair and gave him a curtsey..."whatever my master wishes...is his" she raised an eyebrow. That probably wasn't a good idea she thought. Kayla sat back down beside him and sighed dramatically. "Sorry...yes you are much, much more than that and you know it." Merlin, she wished that the holidays would start already.
