Valentine looked around. Everyone seemed to be pairing off. Oh the joys of not knowing anyone in the school. After a moment of looking around a girl- she looked a bit older than herself- sat alone too. Valentine took in a deep breath and walked up to the girl.

"Partnerless?" She asked shyly.

Since Anna had so quickly chosen to forget Astrid's presence and partnered up with Nico, she had no idea who she what she was going do for a partner now. She looked around the room for another Gryffindor and saw no one else available.

Good thing Willow had kept her mouth shut, for all the possible answers that had come to her mind where not even close to what the class was really about. Blinking at the entire thing, and internally disgusted to be forced to touch plants, the girl sighed.

Touching plants. The only thing Willow felt like doing right now was to bang her head against the wall; she should have stayed on her dormitory, and pretended to have been sick or something. Anything would be better than having to touch a plant. She shrunk on her seat, just as her eyebrows pulled together a little.

Still frowning a little, the fourteen year old looked up and meet Jean Raoul's gaze. Uh. Be partners. Well--she was not about to turn down that offer. "Of course not, Jean Raoul, sir," replied Willow promptly, smoothing her expression at once. "I should warn you, though; I'm rather embarrassing when it comes to Herbology."

"Hi," Gwen said to the younger Hufflepuff; she seemed a little shy. "Would you like to partner?"

Claira sniffed slightly as she looked around the greenhouse in search of someone to partner up with. She was rather curious about this subject, to actually be very honest with it all. Her mother had told her that she'd never really took much interest in Herbology but Claira was already delighted with taking part of this class. The only downside was the fact she was surrounded by so many people, and that made Claira a bit nervous... actually, more so agitated. She felt like she was trapped in a classroom filled with so many people.

She sighed as she did not know anyone that her eyes fell upon during her gaze. It was just perfect. Maybe she'd just... be a partner with someone she didn't know. No way! You won't know if you will like them or not! What if they are someone very dull, or a perfectionist who has to do everything themselves or maybe they'd be... NO! I could never partner up with someone I don't know. There are too many possibilities of pairing with someone I won't like. It's best to just... keep looking for someone I know.

Looking up Sarah could see an older Gryffindor speak to her.
"Oh,um,yes please that would be lovely."
Smiling she shifted on her seat to make room.

Chuckling along with Camira Nancy said. "Okay then. Any plans for today already?" Quickly glancing at the teacher she made sure he wasn't giving them any new instructions right now.

"Those who have not found partners, please do quickly. Or I will assign you to each other."

Nia rolled her eyes. Had she really just agreed to help her brother? Oh bother. "Of course we will," Nia said, gritting her teeth since the excessive bouncing was just tad annoying. Plus he looked like he was enjoying this a little too much.

She was glad when he got up, and slowly followed suit. "I'm coming!" She headed over to the planters, and had a look over them. "Which one do you want then?"

"Claira" Freya said quietly so as not to disturb anyone, "Wanna partner up? I didn't know you would be in this class."

Jean Raoul gave the younger girl a wry smile and shrugged. She seemed rather reluctant to be in the class at all. "All people must have something they are not the best at," he said wisely. "And... I must admit that herbology is not my strong point, either."

Not his strong point. Pssshhh. Herbology was definitely not his strong point. How could it be, when he preferred to stay inside? Gardening may have been considered a gentle art for others, but it was too dirty and unsure for Jean Raoul's taste.

Looking about to see what the other pairs of students were doing, he remembered the rest of the professor's instructions. "Shall we claim a planter, then? Before they have all been taken?"

Not wanting to be a bother, but she walks up to Professor Carracio, and says "I need a partner still..."

Theo grinned as she joined him, "Dat one dere. Dat big one." He pointed in the direction of the biggest one. That he of course couldn't carry, or couldn't probably see properly.

Camira saw Nico reach into his bag and pull out his gloves. Duh. She'd totally forgotten about them. Se covered her hands in hand sanitizer and when she was satisfied they were clean, she reached into her bag, pulled out her gloves and put them on. Much better, she thought.

"Plans. Oh. not really. I'll have to see who's around after classes", she said with a shrug. What about you?"

Jasmine realized that someone had spoken to her and looked up to see a younger Ravenclaw girl,"Of course." She said with a friendly smile. Holding out her hand she said, "I'm Jasmine by the way."

Gwen dropped her bag my the chair and settled in front of the planter. "My name's Gwen," she said, tying her hair back. "What's yours?"

Claira almost jumped as Freya appeared, nodding quickly to Freya's request to partner up. "Of course. I just want to see what the class is like. My mom never mentioned anything about this subject so I don't know much about it." She informed Freya softly, turning her eyes to the Professor curiously, awaiting instructions on what to do next. Well, she now didn't have to fear pairing up with others she did not know. Freya was here, it was perfect.

Maddox noticed that a girl, very blonde, very pretty , and very young, was sitting by herself and didnt ahve a partner. Since Lima wasnt there he decided to partner with her. "Hello, im Maddox, do you need a partner?" He smiled.

"Alright." He looked about then nodded. "Astrid Deschain, you're partnering with Liz Merelda. Now, hurry with your planters. Mind you, these are a little thorny. I do have tissues available if you happen to prick yourselves. You'll notice a name appear on them if you use them. This will keep you from accidentally picking up each others' if you do not throw them away right away. I also have a waste basket up here for use in those."

"I would prefer in this case that you do not use gloves. They can make you careless. Just try to be careful with the plants. Now, the first thing we need to do is cull the growth of these plants. Locate the plants which seem the healthiest and take note of them. Then take notes of the slightly smaller ones. Try to categorize the plants into three groups. Any idea why we are doing this?"

Valentine bite down gently on left lip ring with a gentle smile. She seemed somewhat friendly at least. Valentine's small fair hand shook Jasmine's. "Valentine." She simply said. Walking over to the planters Valentine tied her black hair neatly back. "You think this is a good one?" She asked, her hazel eyes turning to Jasmine.

Nia raised an eyebrow as Theo promptly chose the big one. How he could even see the plants in it was a mystery to her. Oh well, anything to keep him happy - and at least she could be glad that Theo had chose it and not Buzz. How embarrassing would that be?

"Righto," she said, moving over to take one side. "Can you reach to take the other side? So we can get it back to our bench?"

Raising her hand, after taking a plant and sitting down next to Astrid Liz replies "Because plants that are alike grow better together..."

Smiling at the girl,she said..."Hi Gwen,nice to meet you.My name's Sarah."
She was always a little shy around people she didn't know.

Watching Camira covering her hands with somekind of weird spray she cocked her head to one side and looked at the thing confused. What was that? She copied her though when she put on her gloves.
Pulling her gloves over her hands she murmured. "Oh, me neither."

Then turning back to the professor she rolled her eyes and put her gloves off again with a sigh. "Any idea why we are grouping them?" She muttered at Camira with a questioning look.

Valentine raised her hand. "Healthier plants need less attention than the weaker plants." She said to answer the professors question. "They need different surroundings and substances to survive."
