Rapunzel was wondering back to the castle from her visit with the groundskeeper when something new in the CoMC area caught her eye....then she remembered today's lesson. Skipping over to the tent, Punz poked her head inside and spotted Professor Dainsie.

"Oh, hello!" she said cheerfully, starting to wander toward a table. "Are you teaching us today?"

Isabella walked into the classroom. "Good afternoon professor." She said with a smile as she took her seat.

Chris walked into the tent and sat at a stool and said "Hello" to professor Dainse and looked up at the pheonix "Hello how are you, is that your pheonix he asked the professor. Its amazing." he said in awe as he stared at

Anna strolled throught the grounds and headed down to her last Care of Magical Creatures class. The first thing she took notice of was the large, rust-colored tent. Shrugging, she headed in. "Professor Dainsie?" she questioned, seeing her Gryffindor head-of-house standing where she thought Professor Brooks would be. "Where's...oh, nevermind! Nice to see you, ma'am!" Anna stood in place, not sure whether or not they were to head to the tables just yet.

Astrid made her way down the grounds to the large tent. As she stepped inside, she saw her Head of House and smiled. "Hi Professor Dainsie!" she said cheerfully, while taking a seat. "What a pleasant surprise!"

Rian walked into the tent, her head tipped questioningly to the side. She looked around, spotting a pheonix, and gasped. It was beautiful. She paused, not sure if she was suppose to sit at a table yet

"Hello Professor" she said smiling. Although Care of Magical Creatures wasn't her best class she still liked it.

Allie walked into the classroom and took a seat next to Astrid.
"Hello Professor!" she said. "Its nice to see you!"

Melinda walked into the classroom and took a deep breath. This was going to last a long time, she expected and hoped the most for. She still didn't want to leave. She waved to the professor and took a seat next to Anna. As soon as she entered though, she glanced a phoenix. Wow. amazing.

Torie walked into her Care of Magical Creatures class with a smile on her face. No more cold this time around, and she was feeling chipper and peppy. "Hello, Professor!" she trilled happily before finding a seat. She put down her book bag and looked around the room expectantly. This class was going to be great. She just knew it!

Zaria smiled at all the students. "Please come in and take a seat, I will explain everything momentarily. But feel free to observe Arienh. If any of you have any red liquorice you may even entice her down." She continued her rounds to all the desks, adding more things to the ever growing piles.

Chris pulled out of his bag his favorite candy red liquorice and gave som to Arienh "here you go girl."

"Oh, how amazing!" Anna thought to herself, watching the phoenix with wide eyes. Anna nudged Astrid in the side and passed her half of the red liquorice she just happened to have in her pockt. "Give some to the others," she whispered. Anna held the liquorice up high, waiting to see what Arienh would do.

Allie looked at the Pheonix. She didn't have any red liquorice on her, she wasnt a big fan of it. She just had he rgiant bag of chocolate frogs.
"She is so pretty." said Allie, more to herself, than to the professor.

Daphne ambled in, less clothed than in the cooler months. She got by with just a light cloak, rather than her multiple layers of the past. She noticed another Professor in the room, not the normal instructor. She politely said "Hello", and stood waiting for the lesson to start. She looked up and saw a phoenix in the rafters. "Oh my..." she breathed, having never seen anything so beautiful and graceful in her entire life.

Astrid took the licorice from Anna and smiled, keeping her eyes fixed on Arienh. She was breathtaking. "Thanks Anna." she said, breathlessly. She broke off a piece of the candy and passed some on to Allie and Melinda before offering it up to the phoenix. "Here sweetie!" she called up to her.

Finished what she was doing, Zaria turned around to watch with interest. Despite the fact that several students seemed to possess the candy, the bird refused to budge from her perch. "I'm sorry guys, seems she is a little shy with so many people around. Perhaps she will change her mind later."

Taking off her outer robe, she walked to the center of the tent and sat on a stool of her own. "Now, Professor Brooks has been detained with some personal business, but I'm sure you all understand and I hope you won't mind me standing in for this one. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Professor Dainsie the Gryffindor Head of House. I was a previous Care of Magical Creatures teacher, and I run the magical creature hospital in the grounds. Does any one have any questions before we begin?"

Whitney sat and watched the other students attempt giving...Arienh?...some red licorice. Than Professor Dainsie spoke up. Seeing as the professor hadn't started, she didn't really have any questions. Instead, she just sat and listened to other students around her.

Allie had taken the liquorice from Astrid, and held it up toward teh Pheonix. When the Professor said the bird was shy, she placed the liquorice un front of her, then looked up at the Professor.
"No questions, m'am."

Anna frowned and stuck the candy back into her pocket, a little disappointed the bird didn't come down. Oh, well. Maybe later. Suddenly, a thought popped into Anna's head. She felt a little silly questioning this matter, but the professor did ask for any questions. Anna quickly raised her hand. "Professor, I read in a book that a Phoenix will only eat herbs. How did you manage to get this one to like red liquorice?" she asked.

Cale shook his head and waited patiently for her to continue. It was going to be interesting to see what Professor Dainsie was like outside her office, which was really the only place Cale ever saw her besides around the common room. Hmm, there were a lot of substitute teachers lately...he wondered what Professor Brooks was up to. Sighing, he just continued to sit there as he played with his curly hair, waiting for the lesson to start.

She chuckled lightly. "I didn't manage anything, I walked into my office one day and she was eating it. She pooped red for days, it was great fun to clean up," she dead panned. Pondering for a second she added, "though liquorice does come from the roots of a plant as well."

Jumping up from her stool she walked to a small blackboard that was visible from all the tables. "Ok, so who can tell me where an Erumpent comes from?"

Anna shooked her head and giggled at the Professor's words. What a funny little creature she had there. Anna raised her hand to answer the question about an Erumpent. "Erumpents come from Africa," she said.

Astrid raised her hand and said, "Ooo I know! Africa, Ma'am."
