The door to the potions classroom is unlocked but, there is no light coming from inside. The entire corridor seems empty and deserted. Where on earth could the professor be?

"Oh not much really.Homework,lazing by the lake...Mariel,Jenn,Bree and I were going to go to the Whomping Willow one day,have you been yet?"

Theodore made his way into the Potions Classroom. He had decided to leave Buzz behind today, cos they were working with hot things and he didn't want Buzz to melt. He pulled out his little notebook and pencil, before sitting down next to his sister.

Turning at the sound of somebody saying her name she blinked a few times at the girl before being sure that she didn't know her. Throwing her a confused look she slowly extended her hand as well to quickly shake the girl's. "Uhm...hi...how do you know my name?" She looked at her suspiciously.

A thoroughly lost Professor Bontecou finally found the room he was looking for. "What are you all sitting around in the dark for?" he asked the room dotted with the occasion lit wand tip. He laughed and flicked his own wand, lighting the lamps and a fire in the grate. "There, now that it's much more cheerful in here and we can see past our noses, I want to apologize for my tardiness. it's a good thing you didn't abide by the ten minute rule," he added with a wink.

"Now, did anyone start class without me? Want to catch me up?" he chuckled again, good naturedly.

Chris answered his question "Yes Proffesor we all got to know each other. by the way hello my name is Chris Potter" he shook the proffesors hand.

Miranda saw that the professor had entered the classroom. She smiled at his joke, start class? She looked around, well there were only what seemed to be first second and third years in here, she wondered if anyone was good and she got nervous.Hope this isnt too difficult. Miranda sat quietly and waited for the professor to start the class.

Just as her eyes were getting used to the lack of light it suddenly became brighter,so she had to shield her face from the glare of the fireplace.
Turning around,Sarah saw the professor come into the room.
She hurriedly turned back to the front,ready to pay attention.She didn't want points docked from Hufflepuff because she didn't hear what the professor was saying.

Finally Nancy heard another pair of footsteps walking through the classroom door. She had closed her eyes for a second to pull herself together again but when she reopened them again she had to blink a few times to get rid of all the stars that had formed in front of her due to the sudden amount of light coming from the lamps around the classroom. Phew! Finally! Nancy obviously relaxed under these surroundings and smiled at the professor. "Good day, professor." While saying this she moved towards the table Miranda had sat down at and quickly murmured to her, "Mind if I sit with you?" She flashed a grin at her.

Miranda grinned as she saw Nancy walking towards her, the darkness was very confusing, now she wasnt sure she had said hi to Nancy, it might have been someone else...
"Hey Nancy! Yeah sure sit down" she smiled, finally she was going to classes where she knew someone. "I hope this class wont be too difficult Miranda grimaced, maybe it was like cooking, she was pretty good at making pancakes and muffins...well she thought she was good at it anyways...

Rachel turned as she saw the professor walk in through the door. "Hello Professor," she called and giggled softly at his bemused expression which quickly changed into a smile. Right, potions she thought, should be fun!

Livvy immediately grew quiet as the lights returned and the professor walked in. She smiled. "Hello professor," Livvy said, chuckling at his jokes. Thank goodness for humor! Livvy folded her hands on her desk, ready for class to start.

"Alright. Then, let's get started. HELLO! It's great to see you all here this afternoon. Now, I want to kick this shindig off with some fun so, we're just going to start off with a little game. We're going to go around the room and list off words associated with potions. BUT!" he held up a finger. "We're going to start with the letter C and go through the alphabet. The word can be anything associated with potions including various ingredients. Why don't you start, Miss Zhang?"

ooc: Don't sweat it if you post the same letter as the person before you because you posted at the same time.

Astrid just smiled and waved at Feodore. Feodore? she thought? Hmm? Then she turned back towards the professor. She had a strict rule about talking in class and she never broke it. EVER. Most of the time, people just assumed that she was shy. She would have to remember to say hi after class.

Astrid raised her hand, eager to answer the question, "Professor, I believe that dittany is a potion ingredient." she said cheerfully.
