Armor Gallery

One of the corridors on the third floor is home to a large collection of armor. Be careful not to touch or the caretaker may give you detention to clean up your fingerprints (and everyone else's).

Livvy wandered the halls and stumbled into a room filled with armor. Her mouth slowly dropped open as she walked around. Livvy's hand ventured towards one to touch it, but then she stopped when she spotted a sign. The girl's hand dropped and she continued to walk around, studying the shiny armor.

Perhaps eating all that chocolate that father had sent her had been a very, very bad idea. It was utterly ridiculous, that even though she was looking the same physically, Willow felt as though someone had forced her to eat a muggle car--almost as if her stomach had somehow expanded too much, to the point of being uncomfortable.

She was feeling slightly dizzy, too.

Too much food. Too much sugar inside of her, actually. So much chocolate that the scent of it was still on her nose.

Slowly, the girl took a deep breath, and filled her lungs with air, trying to get rid off that scent that was making her feel even more dizzy.

Lungs filled with clean air, and the scent almost completely gone from her nose, Willow started to walk down the corridor distractedly with her mind wandering around Merlin's knows where, on her way to the Ravenclaw Common Room. Completely distracted as Willow was, she didn't even notice where her feet were dragging her.

Until something hit her. No, something had not hit her--She had hit something. Something hard. So hard that the fourth year lost her balance, and fell over, landing on her bottom.

"Ouch." Stupid armors. They should not be in the middle of a corridor.

How he had gotten there, Jean Raoul had no idea. He just knew that somehow or other he had left class and ended up here. And, oddly enough, that was all he needed to know, at least for now. Looking warily about himself, Jean Raoul stepped into the armor gallery. His head tipped sideways as he walked slowly, the seventh year examined the top of the armor as he passed. Nothing interesting caught his eye... just the glint of the armor. None was exquisitely ornate or specially polished.

Nothing interesting in the least.

Yet just as he was about to leave and go on a hunt for the library or the Great Hall, Jean Raoul heard a clamor behind him. He spun around, his hand instinctively going to his pocket, where his wand was stowed. He remained frozen that way, with his body rigid, his elbow stiffly bent, and his hand in his pocket with a tight grip on his wand, for a long moment until he fully processed what he was seeing.

It was Willow Kovac. And somehow she had gotten on the floor. As the younger girl was not moving very quickly, Jean Raoul crossed the distance between them and held out his hand, bending slightly so she could reach it.

"Would you like some help getting back on your feet, mademoiselle Willow?" the Ravenclaw boy asked, trying to keep the amusement from both his voice and his face. "It sounded like you took quite a fall. Did the armor attack you?"

He said this in jest, doubting it to have happened, for it had crossed his mind that the armor at a place like Hogwarts actually could move from its place and attack someone. Not that it should or would, of course. But it was possible.

Angie 10-09-2008 02:49 AM

One slender hand reached automatically to her forehead, before rubbing the sore spot. Stupid armors. Stupid feet of hers that seemed to have a mind of their own half of the time. Stupid chocolate. Willow's dark eyebrows pulled together as she examined her blurry reflection on the armor in front of her.

Sitting on the floor looking upset, with a red spot on the middle of her forehead. What a lady-like behavior. Not. She probably looked like an utter moron right now. No, not probably--she, without a doubt, looked like an utter moron. Her reflection told her that much.

Good thing there was no one around. That would have been very embarrassing.

... But of course Willow's good luck could not last that much, for as soon as she sighed in relief that she was alone there, a rather tall figure walked in, and stared at one of the armors for a moment.

And then the figure turned to look at her, with a somehow dumbfounded expression, almost as if he did not understand what he was seeing. Her eyes, however, left the older boy's face, and followed the movement of his hand. What was he doing? Reaching for his wand? What for?! She never had her wand with her! It was always inside her dormitory!

Willow blinked at him with a puzzled expression all over her face. Puzzled instead of frightened. Trust her to not be afraid of someone so polite as Jean Raoul. "That would be nice," Willow muttered feeling slightly embarrassed to be caught like this. "Thank you, Jean Raoul, sir," said the girl after having used his hand to stand up.

Smoothing her robes, and then flipping her curtain of hair to the back with one swift movement, the fourth year looked up at him, and listened to his comment as her head tilted to the side a little. Armors attacking her? Snort. "Er--sure. The armors attacked me. That explains what I was on the floor." Not. But there was no need to tell him that. Let him believe that she had not been the clumsy one.

JoseehPOO! Angie! <3

Lost. Utterly Lost.

Sarah Jayne was so lost. How she ended up between these shiny, scary, metal, non-living men was beyond her messed up brain. Clutching Garfield to her chest and staring wide eyed to ever piece of armour she crossed, Sarah moved forward. She still couldn't understand How could Hogwarts store so many scary rooms. So many scary corridors. So many Scary People.

Even Garfield whimpered slightly, possibly feeling the non-living corridor. Ekkkh, now Sarah felt sorry for the evil cat. How annoying. "Ouch," A hiss escaped her mouth when she felt the claws of her fat cat dig in her robes as Garfieldtried to hide his big face inside her chest. Err .. was He scared now?

"You know Garfield, I never plan on leaving you here .. even if I don't like you much" she murmmered, distractly suddenly thinking as if she heard someone around the corner.

EEEP! Help?

Turning to the next corner, Sarah no doubt, saw two students standing next to an another armour. The fifteen year old rushed toward the ones she was sure she had seen before, well atleast the girl. "Umm, do either of you .. have any idea what part of Hogwarts this is?" she breathed out, feeling Garfield peeking out his head too.

Shouldn't she say Hello first?

Err.

"You're quite welcome," Jean Raoul murmured, watching with interest as the fourth year smoothed her robes and rearranged her hair. Girls truly were peculiar in worrying about their appearances - not that the seventh year was one to talk. He would never admit it, but he believed that first impressions via appearance was important, so he was scrupulously careful with his own appearance.

A slight smile crossed his face as Willow slowly affirmed that the armor had, indeed, attacked her. He guessed, from her pause before answering, that that had not been the case, but it was not genteel to question somebody's answer. It was best to seem to always believe people told the truth. He had opened his mouth to ask if she needed the hospital wing when another girl, also rather short, approached.

Jean Raoul slowly and calmly turned his gaze from Willow to the newcomer, eying first her panicked face and then her cat. A cat. How horrid.

"What part of Hogwarts it is?" the seventh year repeated, a slightly puzzled look crossing his face. Of course he did not know, but surely the girl with the cat ought to know herself. With a pert smile, Jean Raoul said, "We're in a corridor, of course. Filled with decorative armor. Is it not fascinating to both you and your cat, mademoiselle?"

Fascinating, indeed. Neither the girl nor the cat seemed comfortable surrounded by all the metal figures.

His attention wandered from the two girls, and Jean Raoul noticed Willow's things on the floor. He cast a quick look in the girl's direction before drawing his wand and pointing it at the messenger bag. "Wingardium leviosa," he muttered, swishing and flicking his wand to levitate the bag to the perfect height for Willow to reach out and grab it.

"Your things, mademoiselle Willow," Jean Raoul said with a slight bow.

Angie 10-12-2008 03:01 AM

Okay, everything seemed to be in perfect order--appearance wise, at least, for Willow was still slightly embarrassed to be found in the floor. Not to mention that she was sure there was a red spot on her forehead, which was not quite visible since her dark bangs covered it. Good. Going to the Hospital Wing was something the fourth year was not particularly looking forward to. It would be even more embarrassing having to explain Nurse Numel and the former Slytherin prefect how she had landed on the floor.

The fifteen year old's nose started to wrinkle. It was itchy, but at the same time it wasn't. Almost as if she had the flu--Willow felt like sneezing, but realized she couldn't. She wrinkled her nose again, just as an automatic frown creased on her forehead. It was very uncomfortable feeling.

But as uncomfortable as it was, it was a familiar one. Very familiar--unwanted, but familiar, nonetheless.

Cats.

"A--a--CHOO!"

Now she could sneeze. Grimacing, Willow turned the newcomer Gryffindor girl, that was holding a ridiculous stupid cat. Idiotic animals. If Willow could aim a good kick at every single stinking cat that kept polluting the world with all their ludicrous fur, she'd gladly would.

Sneeze. Sneeze. Sneeze.

ACK!

Quickly, for she was feeling even more sneezes coming, Willow took several steps back, until her back touched the wall. Stupid, stupid cats. They all should die. They did no good to the world--More like the opposite of good.

"Thank you, sir," replied Willow to Jean Raoul, before sneezing yet again. Ugh. Now she would have to go to the Hospital Wing. "Ungh."

Scornfully, the fourth year glared at the animal in the girl's hands.

Meredith had gotten a bit behind the others and quickly followed them in the third floor corridor. She stopped immedeatly. The others weren't there, and this wasn't the bif third floor corridor. This was...somewhere else. She glanced up at all the armor. It was a kind of gallery filled with armor.
Great, she was lost. Now she would have to find Raiden and the others again, I mean she couldn't just leave them!
Meredith wished she didn't always get lost. She always got lost, always.
But, this wasn't going to help her find the others, so she looked around for a sign that could help her to find the hospital wing.

Nancy was just wandering through the castle not exactly having an idea where she was actually heading. Millions of thoughts were racing each other in her head. Everything was quite confusing right now. Not particularly watching her steps she, of course, stumbled over some little stone on the floor and would have almost fallen head-first onto the floor. Nancy was lucky, though, since she instinctively grabbed the first thing her hands could get, which was soft and warm and...a young girl.

Regaining her balance again, Nancy immediately started to apologize, "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to...are you hurt?" Only now she looked the girl in the face and recognized...

"Meredith! Hi! Remember me? Nancy? How are you? What are you doing here?" Okay, she was babbling again, but maybe like that she could somehow distract Meredith from the fact that she had almost knocked her over.

evanna11 10-19-2008 01:53 PM

Meredith was looking at one of the pieces of armor when she heard someone stumble. The girl had grabbed her to avoid falling on the floor. Meredith lost her balance for a moment but didn't fall.
"No, you didn't hurt me, but are you okay?" she said to the girl and then recognized her. "Hey Nancy! Of course I remember you! I'm fine, only I'm lost. What about you?" she asked.

Lislchen 10-19-2008 02:05 PM

Phew. Well, at least Meredith wasn't hurt. She had to watch her steps more carefully from now on. With a smile Nancy said, "Oh no, I'm not hurt either. You kind of saved me." Unintentionally, but whatever. "Lost? I know how that feels like." She chuckled. "Where were you planning on going?" Maybe she could help her find her way, even though she wasn't that good with orientation either. But, she could at least try.

The armor was actually quiet clean. And it was fairly relax and quiet in this part of the school. The year so far for Valentine just seemed to bring homework and noise. And the two did not work well together. At last she had finished (almost all) her homework and now she needed to explore. The girl was still getting lost inbetween classes.

Other for a a couple other people the gallery seemed quite empty, the way that Valentine liked it. After spending a few moment of looking at the suits of armor (and her reflection in them!) she had found a small spot inbetween suits. It was enough space for Valentine to just comfortable sit. So grabbing a book out of her bag the Ravenclaw sat down and started to read.

MunchyBubbles 10-19-2008 09:12 PM

Piper was walking through the Armor Gallery, a place she had never actually been. She was liking it actually, she found all of the suits extremely fascinating, and she could see her reflection in them too! She adjusted the braid that she had pulled half of her thick black hair into, and smiled and turned to walk to the next one..

When her foot caught on a uneven stone and she went sprawling onto the floor again. "I really need to come with my own personal bubble." She said softly, as she turned to get up, and saw that between two suits of armor there was a girl reading. Guh more witnesses to my clumsiness. She thought to herself as she smiled, "Hello." She said warmly.

kaZombie 10-19-2008 09:17 PM

Valentine looked up quickly as she heard a crash. Wait, she was sitting? You mean for once she wasn't the one tripping, and falling, and crashing, and tumbling?" She looked over, just a foot from her own feet, it was a girl. Same age as her? No maybe just a bit younger. "Oh hello." She said shyly looking at the girl who seemed a little embaressed. "Are you alright there?" Valentine asked closing her book and putting it back into her bag.

MunchyBubbles 10-19-2008 09:21 PM

Piper smiled a bit and she nodded, "Yes, I think I am alright this time." She said with a slightly embarrassed smile. "I tend to do this often." She said shaking her head as she smiled at the girl. "I've met more people by tripping over them." She said with a little laugh, "I'm Piper, Piper Snow." She said as she brushed her hand off and stuck it out to the girl.

kaZombie 10-19-2008 09:28 PM

Valentine smiled friendly at the girl who just introduced herself as piper- a pretty name. And Piper didn't seem that bad as a person, well as what Valentine knew so far. "Name is Valentine Ammadon." She said with a friendly smile to her new aquaitence. "And it's alright. Everyone had their trips and falls." Me more than most the Ravenclaw girl added into her head. She wasn't about to tell Piper that though. Piper was the first person she had met at Hogwarts without running into them, or being introduced to them by a person whom she ran into.

MunchyBubbles 10-19-2008 09:33 PM

Piper smiled as the Girl introduced herself. "Valentine? That's a unique name, but in a good way, if you know what I mean. I suppose it makes me think of hearts and stuff." She said with a slight blush, "But I suppose you have heard that alot." She added.

"Mmmm they do." She said nodding, " During the welcome back feast, I tripped and ending up breaking my arm, it wasn't totally bad though, Professor Dumont carried me into the hospital wing." She grinned while blushing more. "So, I suppose it was rather nice now that I think of it." She said shaking her head.

kaZombie 10-19-2008 09:41 PM

"I wouldn't say alot. Every once and a while someone will point it out. But it doesn't really happen frequently." Valentine started to think of her name. She really never connected it to Valentine's day. Perhaps it was because her mother hated Valentine's day- so there wasn't much talk of it around the house.

"You broke your arm? That must have been painful." Valentine said with a nod after Piper started to talk again. "At least you are better now."

MunchyBubbles 10-19-2008 09:46 PM

Piper smiled a little bit. "Well I am glad for that, Thankfully my name does not lend its self to many comparisons. Unless you count the Pied Piper." She said with a small smile. She wouldn't compare herself to a man who led everyone astray by playing a flute.

"Oh yes it was painful." Piper said emphatically. " I didn't think anything could hurt that much, I nearly passed out a couple times. However, I think the shock from the dueling dummy might have been worse, the room spin for over two days with that one." She said thoughtfully. "And I'm on the Quidditch team, needless to say I have some people worried about that might happen to me." She said with an impish grin.

kaZombie 10-19-2008 09:55 PM

"Dueling dummy?" Valentine merely asked, looking at the girl from her spot on the floor. She could honestly say she was rather confused. Walking into a dummy couldn't hurt that much could it?

MunchyBubbles 10-19-2008 10:00 PM

Piper nodded, " I was in the dueling club, and we were supposed to black the stunning spell from the dueling dummy, apparently I didn't do it right, for the nest thing I knew, I was waking up and the room was spinning and my head felt like it was going to explode." She said sighing a bit as she settled down onto the floor.

"Apparently it blasted me across the room." Piper said motioning to her petite frame. "I think they had it set to high." She said with a nod.

evanna11 10-20-2008 02:43 PM

"Well, I wanted to go to the Hospital Wing..That is somewhere here, right?" Meredith said. Was this even the third floor? The moving stairs made it even more confusing. She hoped Raiden was okay, he seemed pretty bad just before..before she got lost. She had to find him..Why would sh have to get lost now?

Wait, what?! "The Hospital Wing?" Nancy's eyes widened in shock. "Did something happen to you? Are you okay?!" Looking Meredith up and down she decided that it probably wasn't her who was hurt, though. "Uhm...so I guess it's not you who's hurt, now is it? Who is it then? Is it something serious?" Her face showed that Nancy was actually concerned about the person's well-being.
"You're on the right floor, though. The Hospital Wing is quite close. Should I accompany you there?"

evanna11 10-20-2008 03:19 PM

Meredith decided that Nancy really was a nice person-well, she'd known that already, but Nancy just showed it again. "It's Raiden, he's a first year Slytherin. He was sick, and I wanted to follow him and a few other people to the hospital wing, but I got lost on the way."
"If you have time, please. I'm so bad at finding the way." she admitted a little bit embarassed.
