Cassandra paused in the doorway, watching the girls as they played. Oh... it was quiet for the moment, but she had a feeling it wouldn't last. All too soon, Vivi threw a block at Sophia, who set to crying. Her tears disappeared as soon as she spotted her mother, and Rae scooped her up.

"They are absolutely precious!" Even when they were crying. She really didn't know how to approach them. She was use to animals, but not children. The headmistress said to let them come to her, so she stayed still.

Vivi was the little one in the Slytherin robes from the opening feast. She waved at the girl, then turned to the child in Rae's arms and smiled. "They have your eyes..."

"They are wholly too much of me, and not enough of Doyle," she protested. "Trust me... I would rather have them look more like him." She offered Sophia to Cassandra, and the little girl tried to eat her own hand out of shyness.

Cassandra opened her arms, hoping the child would come to her. She was beautiful. "From what I've seen of Vivi at the table... she has Slytherin tendencies... I don't know how you feel about that, but that may be where they take from the Professor."

She took the toddler into her arms and bounced her a little bit. "Hi there," she said to the girl touching her nose gently.

She chewed on her fist calmly, and Cassandra laughed at her. "Just give her a little attention, but dont' expect her to talk. She only talks to her sister."

Cassandra moved a lock of the child's blond hair our of her face and placed it behind her ear. "They have grown so much... I mean even from this opening feast." She bounced the girl some more and carefully threw her up in the air a little. "Weee" she said and smiled at the girl.

Rae picked up Vivi, who was having a jealous fit over the lack of attention on her. "They'll be 4 in May. It's shocking."

"Four! Seriously?" Cassandra was flabbergasted. She was at Hogwarts the year they were born. "You know Sophia... you're name means wisdom... I'm thinking you might take from your mommy..." Cassandra's eyes went wide and her head spun to Rae... "Not that Professor Branxton isn't wise... I meant that you're a Ravenclaw... Wisdom and all..." Excuse me while I take my foot out of my mouth...

"She gets the brain from me, but the ability to slow down and use it from him," Rae offered. "Genevieve has his wiles, but she gets her spontaneity from me."

Cassandra nodded in agreement, "A perfect blend of the two of you... Your best characteristics." she said to the headmistress. "Looks may change over time... but they say once a child hits three that personality will never change."

"I was hoping the devil baby would change," Rae looked down at Vivi who was trying to strip. Again. "No naked babies, Genevieve!"

"Awww..." She said with a smile. The girl she had in her arms was very sweet, demure, she was happy gumming her little fist. "Does that taste good?" she asked Sophia.

ooc: I don't play Sophia, so I can't post her talking, but you're welcome to move her a bit if you want.


Rae put Vivi down and the little girl immediately threw a fit about it. "Just... you play with Sophia while Vivi and I have a little quiet time." She scooped Vivi up under one arm and went to sit in the rocking chair.

Cassandra seemed a little disappointed... she wanted to play with Vivi too... She sat on the floor, Sophia still in her arms and plopped her down in front of her. "Wanna play paddycake?" she said, "My house elf use to play this with me... lets see."

She took the child's hands in hers and made them clap together. "Paddy Cake Paddy Cake, house elf's pan, bake me a cake as fast as you can." She rolled her little hands together "you rooooll it," and then she made her little hands pat the floor "and pad it, and mark it with an B," she made the child's finger make an B in the air. "and put it in the oven for baby and me! Yaay!!!" She laughed with the child throwing her hands in the air.

Cassandra had a quiet chat with Vivi until the child was calm and ready to return to the toys. She joined her sister, and Cassandra stayed in her rocking chair. "Ask nicely, Viv."

"I play?"

"Of course Vivi," Cassandra picked up Sophia and set her in front of the blocks. "Sophia, you wanna watch Vivi and I? Look..." She reached forward and picked Vivi up, scooping her up and sitting the baby in front of her. "Weee" she said as she did.

"Ok... Watch Sophia," She put her hands on they child's hands, waiting to see if she was ok with it, remembering what Rae said about her and confinement. "Ready Vivi?"

Vivi was fine with the attention, and she smiled happily at her sister. "Paddacake."

She smiled at Vivi. Cassandra wasn't one to smile often, but children had that effect on her. She made the baby's hands clap together. "Paddy Cake Paddy Cake, house elf's pan, bake me a cake as fast as you can." She looked at Sophia and made a funny face, rolling Vivi's iddy biddy hands, "You roll it," and then she reached for Sophia's hand and made them both pat the floor "and pad it, and mark it with an V," this was harder to do with two children, but she still attempted to make them draw a V in the air. "and put it in the oven for Vivi and me! Yaay!!!" She then tickled Vivi's tummy smiling at her.

Vivi wrinkled her nose at the girl. "That's a baby game."

"Oh?" She said, "What game do you want to play..." Cassandra didn't really know many children's games.

"Fly Baby," Vivi laughed.

"Oh... she wants to be levitated. I'll do it," Cassandra shook her head.

"Levitated? Really?" Cassandra hated being in the air. "Vivi, you want to fly? aren't you scared?" She asked her.

Cassandra laughed at Vivi's face before circling the little girl around the room with an easy levitation charm. "I really ought to go back to my desk, Cassandra, but you're welcome to play with the girls a while longer. The house elves will keep an eye on things." She kissed both of the twins and departed.

"Yes, I should probably work on homework..." She sighed... "Thank you professor... for coming to get me and for letting me play with your girls. Please let me know when Professor Branxton is his old self again, and I will get working on the task you set for me."
