Brooms are NOT allowed at this lesson. Failure to abide by this rule will result in a loss of house points.

Write a persuasive letter to Minister Brennan Cooper regarding the old Hogwarts Quidditch Pitch and how it is needed so that students may learn how to properly fly on broomsticks and play Quidditch. In your letter, be sure to include that you understand the importance of using anti-Muggle devices to protect the pitch, as well as understand the importance of following the Ministry's rules for playing the sport.

DO NOT INCLUDE THE PLAYING WITH FOOD PART OF THE LESSON. If the Minister hears about this, then there is a chance Quidditch will not return this term.

DO NOT TELL THE MINISTER HE IS AN IDIOT OR A MORON FOR HIDING THE PITCH. This will anger the Minister even further and Vindictus loves his job.

Basically, keep your personal feelings to yourself and persuade the Minister to allow students to use the pitch and how future professional Quidditch athletes need proper training by Professor Vindictus.

This is worth 10 points. Extra points may be rewarded for outstanding letters.

Divination Intro Homework


Create a list for each celestial body and include; the name of the celestial body, its gender and energy (whether or not it would be yin or yang based on that), its western astrological equivalent, Jyotish gemstone, its equivalent in Arithmancy, Tarot card equivalent, its' element (based on its western astrological equivalent), and the colours with which it is associated. The sun, for example would look like this;

1. Sun, Masculine & Positive (yang), Leo, Ruby, #3, Sun/Empress, Fire, Reds & Golds.

Start with the sun and continue on through to Pluto, and don't forget to include the moon.

PM the assignment to: SlytherinSistah by Friday, the 20th of June 11:59pm PST. Include your name, ID number (found after your name on your profile), and please entitle the PM: Divination Intro Homework.

ooc: I know there may not be much information on Billywigs but, use what information you can find to be creative in your essays (should you wish to turn one in). I award 1-10 points for homeworks based on the effort and creativity put into it. That doesn't necessarily mean someone who writes a book will get any more credit than someone who writes a well thought out, concisely written paragraph. So, please keep that in mind if you're concerned about earning points.

DUE DATE: Before the next potions class, so the sooner, the better.
