Adam opened the door to his classroom and went back to the blackboard. The classroom was set up differently to previous lessons, the big cauldron in the middle of the class missing, as were the student desks.
Instead the chairs were arranged in a big horseshoe shape all facing the board where Adam now stood.

On the board Adam wrote:

Love Potions: Theoretical Class

Qaz entered the room and went and sat at the end of the big U-shape of chairs. She hoped that this lesson would go better than the last one.

Kerry walked into class, "Hello Professor!" she smiled as she went to sit at the desk and then suddenly realized there were no desks, but rather chairs arranged in a horseshoe.

Kerry found a seat in a chair and looked up curiously to find out what they were doing today. When she saw it was love potions, Kery beamed "Oooh, interesting choice of lessons today Professor. I can't wait to get started."

Ari walked into class, the dark circles under her eyes evident as she carefully made her way towards the chairs and sat down with a small smile to the professor. She looked up and groaned inside, another thinking lesson, just what she didn't need for her headache.

Esmeralda walked into the classroom smiling slightly at the professor and sat at the very back. She started to take out her quill and parchments.

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"][Hazel entered the classroom and noticed the change of seating arrangement. Looking around, she saw the topic written on the board and a cauldron in the middle of the class. She made her way to a seat and sat down, waiting for the class to start.

Excelsior was very intrigued by the potions lesson for today, especially in view of what had been happening with his friends. He couldn't wait to find out more!

Cassandra walked in and sat at the front as usual. She nodded to her professor in acknowledgement and looked at the board. Her cheeks flushed as she read what they were going to be discussing...

Jack walked into the classroom rather reluctantly. He nodded at the Professor as a greeting and saw there was no desks and became disappointed. He normally sat at the back where he could hide from answering questions and just listen. He chose a chair to sit in and looked at the board. Love Potions, now this could be interesting.

Whende walked into class. Her fingers were still covered in melted chocolate, which she began to lick off as she read the board. Oooooooooooh. Did that mean that they didn't have to make an actual potion? Cuz hers would probably explode.

Ali walked into the class. Potions, her second favourite subject was about to start. She smiled at the professor, then took her seat. Then she noticed the board. "Theoretical? You mean, no actual Potion making? Just discussion." She almost cried, she loved making potions in class.

Adam smiled as the class started to fill with students, although he noticed that most of them sat as far away from him as possible. He wondered if he still smelt like dungbombs...

"Hello class. As you can see" Adam said, flicking his wand to indicate the blackboard, "Today we will be discussing Love Potions. I cannot show you how to make one, but understanding the theory will hopefully help you to recognise a love potion and identify people who have taken one. Hands up anyone who has been the target of a love potion?" Adam asked, raising his own hand in the air and interested to see if anyone else in the class had also been affected.

As Brooke got comfortable, she looked around to see all the students that raised their hands. She had not been... Thankfully.

Ariana didn't raise her hand. Boys didn't think she was worth their time to talk to let alone give a love potoin too. Sighing sadly, she looked around at those who had, curious as to why the professor had one placed upon him.

Cassandra nodded to Brooke, and blushed at Professor Dresden's question. She hadn't exactly been the target... but she tried making one, but ended up just talking to Professor Erikson who taught her better.

Kerry sat up and took interest in the class as she looked around to see who had been affected by a love potion. She herself had never been affected, but she was always tempted to try it on someone...she was guessing this class might change her mind about it, though.

Esmeralda looked around and saw very few people raising their hands. She, herself has never been a target so she didn't raise her hand.

Jack didn't raise his hand but spoke out instead, "I haven't been the target of one but I've used one on someone: my cousin, for a joke." He grinned at the memory. This was one of the first times he had spoken out in class and he suddenly realised how loud his voice really was, especially in a quiet classroom, like this. It's not that he was shy, it's that he didn't know much so kept quiet.

Adam smiled at a hufflepuff girl who had raised her hand. Most of the other students kept their hands down, which was a relief. When Adam had been at Hogwarts Love Potions were so rampant the students had been given antidotes as a precaution.

"That was my next question. Anyone else ever used a love potion on another person, raise your hand" Adam said, lowering his own hand.

Again Ariana kept her hand down, feeling slightly pleased with herself since there would be no wat she could make a complicated potion like that when she couldn't even make a simple boil potion.

Qaz watched the others to see who was raising their hands. She could not imagine giving anybody a love potion. Who'd want some moony-eyed guy following you around and acting like a prat.

Should she raise her hand? Technically she never finished the potion... she was missing a key ingredient and Erikson wouldn't help her, and she wasn't about to ask Dresden for it... He would have known right away... No... she wasn't going to raise her hand... but she blushed deeply avoiding the professor's eyes.
