Adam pulls open the door to the Potions Classroom, then returns to stand behind the large cauldron in the centre of the room, which is bubbling away, filled with pale lilac potion which is producing slight wisps of pale white smoke.

On the blackboard behind Adam, the title of the lesson is written, followed by the instructions to open textbooks to page 10.

AJ gave our a small laugh as Adam threw a book at Tag, afterall, he wasn't paying attention at all, didn't set a very good example to the rest of Ravenclaw. She stood up as she got her cauldron and stirring spoon out and set it up, along with her mortar and pestle, surely they'd have to grind or smash some of the ingredients. She stood next to it, waiting for further instructions. She leaned over her desk and flipped a few pages back and forth, looking for the instructions of how to make the Draught of the Living Death. She took out her scales, for weighing things, set those up, and took out her trusty knife.

Emily pulled out her cauldron and her bag of ingredients. She then called over to Rapunzel, "So you really didn't even notice? Not any of it?"

Curt frowned slightly when the Professor awoke Repunzel without doing anything further tests, but, it wasn't such a big deal really. He listened to the Professor's instuctions and pulled out his cauldron and sat there, reading out of his book and then a question arose. He looked up to the Professor and asked, "Professor, If you were going to take this potion, and say, lay up in a room under the influence of it for the rest of your life, would you age, would you simply die in your sleep or what?"

Ponessa found the paragraph she had written some time ago about the ingredients of the Draught of the Living Death. She waited attentively for instructions, and sat upright.

Rapunzel thought for a moment. "Hmmm....I remember volunteering, sitting in the chair, and then the next thing I know, everyone was staring at me and admiring my snoring," she replied jokingly with a smile. "It was worth the points, though, definitely!"

She then returned to unpacking her potions ingredients and checking her book for instructions.

Taika Ai scribbled notes as the girl awoke. It was amazing what a simple liquid could do!

She paused in her note taking to listen to the most recent question. That would be interesting if you didn't age, not that she was worried about such a thing.

Jezz pulled out her cauldron and started to brew the potion. She added and stirred wherever the book told her too, but she was really worried that she would mess up.

Daphne got out her cauldron and her ingredients. Her mother hated this class, and her father talked about doing poorly. Her self-esteem in this course was very low, genetically speaking. Nonetheless, she kept telling herself, "I can do this, I can do this."

Ponessa glanced continously at her notebook, not that she really needed to, but was cautious to not add anything wrong. Her wrist barely touched the rim of the cauldron and she jerked her hand back. She wasn't hurt, but knew to be more carefull. She shook her hand and turned her attention back to the cauldron.

Jezz crushed the wormwood into powder and added it like the proffessor said too. "Umm... what is it supposed to look like?" she asked, looking down at the light blue liquid in her cauldron.

Emily rifled through her ingredients. Was wormwood already crushed? She pulled out a crusher and some water. After pouring water into her cauldron and lighting the fire below it, she pulled out a bottle labled wormwood. It didn't look crushed so Emily began crushing it. Once she'd gotten used to the motions she turned to Rapunzel again, "Yeah, the points are awesome. You're so brave and now we might not be last in points standing." She grinned. "It'd be awesome if we won the House Cup this year."

Qaz started to work on her potion. Don't be afraid, it's only specialist cooking....she kept saying it over and over to herself. She carefully prepared each ingredient, crushing sopophorous bean with the flat side of a silver dagger rather than cutting it. She began to stir very carefully, seven counter-clockwise and one clockwise stir, seven counter-clockwise and one clockwise stir, over and over again. Soon her potion began to release blue steam. So far, so good.

Daphne listened to the Professor's instructions. She lit a fire underneath her cauldron, which took a little while. She couldn't remember the spell to do that, so she needed to look it up. She looked through her ingredients kit and found the wormwood, which she began to crush it. It was actually a rather nice way of getting out all one's anger and aggravation. She waited and waited for her water to come to a boil. Finally, the water reached a nice boil, and Daphne added her crushed wormwood. She waited on more instructions from the Professor.

Taika Ai followed the instructions the Professor gave to the letter, also taking notes on the affects it would have on aging.

She added the crushed wormwood to the boiling water in her cauldron and watched it carefully; she didn't want to mess up.

Tag jerked to attention as the book slammed in front of his face, nearly throwing the quill right out of his hands. "I'm watching! I know what's going on!" he said loudly, without thinking. As if to prove his point, he pulled the cauldron in front of himself and Bucky, and busily took out some ingredients. When it appeared that Dresden was looking the other way, he leaned sideways. "What's going on?," he murmured out of the side of his mouth.

Curt listened intently to what the Professor had to say, and, he completely agreed. "Yeah, me neither." he said with a nod, he was perfectly happy with the life he had right now, there was no way he would want to skip moments in time.

After writing those notes down, Curt crushed his worm wood and boiled the water in his potion, watching the bubbles speed up to the top. He got his wormwood and poured it into his potion, watching it carefully. After inspecting if for a bit, he looked back up to the Professor.

Rapunzel blushed at Emily's compliment but hid her face by hovering over her cauldron. She cleared her throat and replied, "I totally agree with you," while crushing her wormwood with her silver dagger. "I think Hufflepuff won last year too, but it's kind of depressing to be this far behind already!" she added the wormwood to the bubbling water. "I mean, I guess we'll have plenty of opportunites to make up points, between Quidditch and homework assignments....but I was happy to contribute when I could!" she finished with a smile.

Qaz was starting to get a sore arm, but she knew she couldn't stir with the other arm. Too clutzy as a lefty...seven counter-clockwise and one clockwise stir, seven counter-clockwise and one clockwise stir... the potion seemed to be getting lighter...

Amelia bent over her notebook cautiously and added some crushed wormwood to boiling water, allowing the solution to concentrate. As she was doing so, she looked over the next step in the book about sopophorous beans and took out her silver dagger to prepare for it.
