A tall wizard is sorting scrolls at a table at the front of the classroom. You notice the room is full of rocks and scrolls. On the board are the rune sets you reviewed in Lesson One. Many of you realize the wizard is the Hufflepuff Head of House, Professor Tolkien who taught Charms last term. He appears to be in deep thought. He looks ups and indicates you should take a seat and wait until time to begin. His eyes again focus on the scrolls in front of him. | |

Cassandra was going to pair up with Excelsior, he seemed like a promissing student, but when she heard Dani talk, all she could think of was, LeFonz, you git! She sat next to him and arranged her runes infront of them

Silvie watched as an owl flew into the classroom bringing a letter for Professor Tokien, then took notes of what he had instructed the students to do while looking curiously at the gray pouches on her desk. Most of the people around her didn't exactly start working right away, and she then realized some hadn't been present on the first lesson. She took out a piece of parchment with her notes from the previous lesson and re-read it:

The Elder Futhark is divided into 3 groups of 8 runes each:
They are called Aett or Aettir. It helps remember their order, which has significance in magical uses.
1st: Called Freyja's Aett:
Fehu, Uruz,Thurisaz, Ansuz, Raido, Kenaz, Gebo, Wunjo
2nd: Called the Heimdall's Aett:
Hagalaz, Nauthiz, Isa, Jera, Eihwaz, Perthro, Algiz, Sowulo
3rd: Called the Tyr's Aett:
Tiwaz, Berkano, Ehwaz, Mannaz, Laguz, Ingwaz, Dagaz and Othila
"You guys, maybe this will help you" she said, passing them the parchment with a smile on her face, "It wasn't that hard to understand, so you'll get it. If not, don't be afraid to come and partner up with me!".
Then, she started to organize her runes in front of her, dividing them into 3 groups.

ARiana decided to work alone. No one here wanted to pair up with her anyways. She was used to it sadly, no noe wanted to be around someone who could feel their emotions. So, picking up the rune bag she took out her new quill and began to write on her parchment.
Taking this piece of parchment she took out all the runes from the pouch and started to seperate them. She wondered if she was doing this right; she had missed the first lesson, but luckily was able to remember everything from last term. It was her photographic memory coming out again she thought with a sigh.
She wondered what had happened to professor Allegra; she liked her, even if she did get ill a lot. She couldn't help but miss her, but thought Tokien was a good teacher too, so she was satisfied.

Professor Tolkien reached down to his satchel and removed a quill and bottle of ink, sat down to write a reply to post the owl had brought. The owl was sitting quietly on the corner of the desk waiting for Jack to tie the return post to its leg. Tolkien remembering his manners dug deep into his robe and found an owl treat, which he surrendered to the owl, who nabbed it quickly within its beak. Again, he focused on the reply.

Jack finished the reply and tied it to the owl's leg. The bird flew off the desk and out of the window. He then watched for moment as the students worked at the project he had given them.

Eternal sat in her chair staring at her parchment and quill just laying on her desk. Runes? She could never understand runes. It was like speaking Japanese to her. She was perfect with French, since she was born and raised in Brittany, but runes? It never quite hit her.
She bit her lower lip and looked around the room. Everyone seemed like they knew what they were doing. Tolkien seemed like he was busy. She wondered what his first name was. Oh, back to runes. She picked up her quill, dabbed it into her ink bottle, and started to doodle little runes on her paper. At least, what she thought what runes looked like. | |

Tolkien waved his wand and the homework assignment appeared on the board.
