Erikson set up his classroom, this time the beeping device was gone, though he still checked his watch periodically. Around the greenhouse were several different types of plants. Many of them were too young to do much, but the adult versions were in pictures behind them.

Included were some spearmint and watermint plants, as well as the peppermint which rested below the table their 'parents' were on.

"Perfect," he smirked and got up.

Sho examined the glass roses. He had only ever seen this type of thing in stores at the mall back home, and those weren't real.

Then he turned to the silver roses and rubbed his chin. Silver roses and...

He picked up his parchment and some tools, taking them to the 3rd green house to examine the carnations. He found some yellow carnations and started to extract what he needed, going back to the classroom greenhouse to examine the silver rose some more.

Ari nodded at professor Erikson and frowned. Now it wsa time to pick the two types of flowers to make a hybrid out of. She decided to go with roses simple enough she thought as she took two diffrent types off the table and moved back to her seat, where she started to trasnfer the stigma of the blue rose to the other more pink rose. She wondered what kind of roses she'd get when and if this worked but shrugged and went back to work.

She heard a noise and looked up, her bright eyes peering down at something she couldn't quiet see, shrugging she bent down gain and carefully plucked the stigma from the rose, being careful not to break it's delicatness. Transferring it onto the pink roses was tough, yet she seemed to remember how to do it and managed without incident.

She looked around for the boy who said would help her if she needed it and found him talking to the Hufflepuff from before. Thinking she'd ask him later she went back to her work, making sure the buds were still fine and that she hadn't cut anything important. She wanted this to be right, not messing up like she did last time she had tried it. Now that she was doing this she had remembered how to graft the stigma onto another plant, much to her surprise.

"There, I think I did it right." she muttered to herself. The sperm from the one plant was now mixing with the other plant so all she had to do was soak it in smething...water she thought. She looked up and grinned at the professor, hoping she hadn't completely messed up.

Ryan looked up from his seeds to notice that his fellow Ravenclaw seemed to be getting the hang of things. He smiled at the girl and continued staring at his seeds. He decided to lean back in his chair a bit, and almost fell over when the back to chair legs almost gave out. He besta watch himself.

Ari looked over at the Ravenclaw boy who had tried helping her before. She tried not to giggle as she saw him tip his leg charis back. "Are you okay?" she asked as she took a look at his face. "You should be careful, those chairs have a mind of their own." she winked grinning before she showed him her plants.

"I did this properly, right?" she asked, showing him where she had added the part frmo the blue roses to the pink roses.

Ryan blushed after recovering from almost receiving a concussion. "The way that just went down, I'd think Professor Maline were showing us some new creature that looks like a stool!"

Then he looked at her plants, and said, "Everything looks to be in order. Just make sure you do the cross both ways, that is, take pollen from each plant, and put it to the pistil of the other. That way, you have crossed it both ways, in case they make different plants. And yes, the next thing you do is soak them. You're picking this up pretty quickly as well!"

He noticed some students watching their plants intensely and walked over to them, curious. "If you are done pollinating the plants, there isn't much more to do, you know. You look as though you're waiting for the flowers to die right in front of you."

Ari laughed at his joke and shook her head, "If there was a creature that looked like a stool I'd have known about it and warned you." she said chuckling.

Ari grinned nodding as he looked at her plants, "Thanks. As soon as I asked the professor it kinda just came back to me." she said shaking her head. She quickly did the same to the blue roses, taking the stigma from the pink and transferring it to the blue. That done she nodded and remembered to soak both plants.

Ari turned when professor Erikson said there wan't anything more to do once she had her plants soaking. She nodded and put her stuff away. "At least I figured it out in the end. Thanks professor." she said.

Ryan laughed at Professor Erikson's words. He probably did look pretty ridiculous screwing his face up, willing his seed to germinate faster.

He then looked up and asked, "So, Professor, if we're done, do we just...er...leave?"

He chuckled. "I would appreciate if you helped other students in the class, but if you are done you may go. Rather than homework, we will plant the seeds here in about a week."

Ryan looked at Rapunzel and Ari, and said "I think I'll stick around to help. I seem to have a knack for this kind of stuff anyway."

OOC - haha. okay. SS has skewed my version of reality anyway. i honestly don't know what day of the week it is today.

Ari sighed and got up, since she was done she could leave since she still didn't quite get this whole hybrid thing. Picking up her bag and plans, she marked them with her own unique marking and asked "Should we leave our plants here?" she asked dumbly, then shook her head to clear it.

"My head is not on right today." to the boy as she pulled her bag over her shoulder. She didn't know why she was acting like this today, her mind was elsewhere she thought. "Alright, have fun!" she said with a grin as she waited.

Ryan beamed at Rapunzel before answering, "Well, my dad is a Muggle Biochemist, so I get a lot of lectures back home.

But it turns out to help me a lot in this class every once-in-a-while. I do like plants though.

Rapunzel beamed at Ryan and gathered up her stuff, having finished for the day. "Are you...leaving now?" she asked him, hoping she completed the assignment correctly.

Ryan looked at Rapunzel before responding with, "If you're ready to go, it looks like everyone else is getting along fine. I'm ready if you're ready."

He saw she looked a little worried. "If you're worrying about how your assignment went, you did everything wonderfully. I say you'll pass this with flying colors." He tried to give her an encouraging smile, and felt a little goofy showing off his teeth so much.

Rapunzel couldn't help but grin back at Ryan's silly smile. He always had such funny facial expressions. "Thanks for the compliment. I'm ready to leave. Where are you headed?" she asked, thinking about grabbing a snack in the kitchens before heading to the common room.

Ryan responded, "Alright. Let's bounce! As for where I'm going, I'm not really sure. Probably just back to the common room. I think I'll catch up on some homework there. How about you?"

Rapunzel shrugged. "I'll probably go to the kitchens, then to my common room. See ya later then!" she waved as she walked out the door. "Thanks again for all your help!"

Ryan left the room with Rapunzel, and before parting ways, he waved to her and said, "You're welcome for the help! I'm just glad I could help! See you later!"

He waved to her and then headed toward his common room.
