Natasha sat on the weathered old armchair in the middle of the class. There was nothing out of the ordinary with the class this time; small circular tables were spread on split levels around the circular classroom and inviting pouffes were scattered all about.

She fingered the hem of her emerald green robes as she absently stirred her tea with the tip of her wand. The students should be arriving soon, and she couldn't quite think straight...not while the twin girls were still missing.

Kimberly gazed into her tea looking at the swirling liquid, she could just feel herself drifting off, but she clung to the classroom refusing to miss part of the lesson.

Joe looked at the cup thinking of what she could possible ask while drinking it. She leaned back in her chair looking down at it. She bit her lip. Well you could always do what most girls do and ask about guys. She thought to herself, having no idea what she would ask.

Ponessa could feel the warmth emanating from her tea. She knew just what to ask. She closed her eyes and tried to concentrate, though the idea totally frightened her.She repeated it over and over in her mind.

Katelyn thought she might ask about Dan, but decided against it. She wanted the romance in her life yo remain a mystery. She decided to ask about her grnadfather. But, what would she ask? Where he was? No...she would ask if he live much longer, yes thats it. She knew she was terrified of the answer, but she had to know so that she fix things with her parents back at home. If he died, she would have no one except her parents, and she couldnt stand that though. She opened her eyes, and this time she was frowning from her own thoughts.

Blaylock broke the silence, "Alright, I believe that is enough steeping...we wouldn't want our tea to be too bitter." She went back to her spot in the centre of the circular classroom.

"The next step is the most obvious...we are to drink the tea if we want to take a look at the tea leaves, so start working your way to the bottom of that cup. While you do so, try to find your focus...think of the question you want answered as you drink."

She sipped her own tea and remembered something, "Oh, students, be careful to sip slowly. I think we should be able to manage a class without any injuries this term."

Belle sipped her tea and sighed, thinking about the question she would ask the tea leaves. 'Maybe I should ask if everything is going to be alright from now on..' She thought to herself.

Katelyn nodded, and closed her eyes. It always helped her think. If only she had a flower to tuck behind her right ear, her thinking would be perfect. She lifted the cup gently off the table, and took a small sip. Ah, it was so good! Katelyn controlled herself, though, and thought about the question, and took another slow sip. And another.

As soon as the teacher said they could drink away at there cups Joe started to chug it down quickly. She thought about her questions inside of her head. She tea was gone in under 30 seconds. Oh, students, be careful to sip slowly. I think we should be able to manage a class without any injuries this term. She laighed nervously.

"Little too late for that." She said quietly to herself.

But it wasn't like anything bad happened and tea leaves were still at the bottom of the cup so all was okay.

Cassandra sipped her tea carefully, slowly making sure not to ingest the leaves. She looked at the bottom of her *** and smiled. She already knew the forms that were forming. She eyed the professor and gave her a look. She just didn't seem her cheery self, was married life so bad? Especially to Professor Erikson? Was it her baby? Or was she thinking of the headmistress' twins? Were the rumors true?

Ponessa's question frightened her a bit, so her cup was vibrating in her hand ever so slightly. She sipped slowly, allowing the warmth of the tea to envelop her. It tasted wonderfull, however, with her mind on the question, she hardly noticed.

Katelyn finished sipping her tea, and noticed that her pinky finger wasnt on the cup. She frowned...darn her parents for raising her to be like that. No one else held their cups like that. She put the empty cup down, and waited for further instructions.

Mystie stopped steeping her tea and started to slowly, enjoyable drank her tea, while focusing on the question she finely thought of. Will I be able to adopt the kneazle from the animal hospital?

Qaz finished her tea. She drained off the remainder of the tea into her saucer and looked at what was left in her cup. She didn't really see much of anything but soggy tea leaves.

As Blaylock sipped her own tea, she couldn't quite stop the fearful thoughts from fogging her mind. She felt the need to run to the nursery that very moment and check on Damian to make sure he was still sleeping soundly in his cot.

She'd taken one step when she realized what she was supposed to be doing and she quickly forced a cheery smile onto her face to keep the students from suspecting anything was wrong.

"Remember to leave just a bit of tea at the bottom so we can do this."

She held her teacup up with her left hand and swirled the contents around three times, "Swirl your teacup with your left hand three times, then very carefully turn your teacup over the saucer to get rid of the excess tea."

She acted out the instructions herself so the students could see how to do it.

Katelyn gave Qaz a questioning look before looking at the bottom of her cup. She turned it every which way, but still couldnt make out anything useful. She bit her lip, and tried to find some shape in her cup. She muttered a bit to herself, then stirred it threee times. She turned it upside down, and let the tea drain out. She sat and waited.

Belle blinked when she saw the teacher take a step towards the trapdoor. She shook her head and concentrated on swirling the tea around the cup three times, before putting the cup upside down on a saucer to get the excess tea out.

Sam felt like a girl as he drank the tea in one gulp. He was sitting alone at a table with his text book in front of him and nothing else. He was thinking of one question, was he made to be a quidditch player? The one thing that he wanted to know so badly but couldn't answer. He looked blankly at the bottom of the teacup and shrugged, leaning back into his chair and looking back at the professor, his thoughts turning back to the last time he had flown, before he came to Hogwarts. At the sound of the professor's voice he snapped back to reality and grabbed his teacup. He swirled the tea around and drained the tea out wondering if she had noticed him drifting off.

Joe copied Blaylock's actions. She swirled the teacup then turned it over as she hoped she was doing it right. When she finished that she put it down on the table as she searched through her bag for a mint. Jocasta found one and popped it into her mouth and the sat back waiting for the rest of the intrustions.

Ponessa finished her tea, took the cup in her left hand, and was struck with a question, she raised her hand, "Professor?" She said clearly but softly, "Does it matter if it is clockwise or counter-clockwise?" As she said this, she picked up her quill, prepared to write.

Mystie lefted a little tea in the bottom of the cup like the profissor said, then with her left hand swirled the contents around three times, and carefully turn your teacup over the saucer to get rid of the excess tea, and waited for what to do next.

Qaz continued to look at her tea leaves. She turned the cup about a quarter turn anti-clockwise and gazed some more. It looked to her like a Mug and a Pipe. Her future had to do with a mug and pipe. With her luck, it probably meant that she'd spend a lot of time in Pubs. She got out her book and looked up the symbols:

Mug.—This symbol predicts a merry meeting.
Pipe.—A visit from a dear friend

That didn't make any sense to her, so she raised her hand and asked the Professor.

'I'm very confused. I asked what I would be doing when I grew up and it looks like a Mug and Pipe to me. According to the book, that means a Merry Meeting and a Visit from and old Friend. Am I reading this right?'
