"Hello, Professor," Excelsior greeted, surprised that he was the first student in the classroom. He was excited at the animals which were on display today. He waited with anticipation for the lesson to start.

Dan smile at the professor as he walked towards her , the first time in a while he had smiled properly " hi Professor " he said brightly.

Ariana walked in, knowing this would be her best exam so far and looked around, spotting professor Maline. "Hello professor." she said with a smile as she stopped and looked outside seeing the two Abrazans. This was definitly going to be a class to remember, she just hoped she could remember it all. She turned her head and azed mysified at the Pheonix always in awe of theur abilities.

"Hello!" She smiled to the duo, and gestured to the Phoenix inside. "Your exam will consist of three parts. The first part is to describe the appearance of my Azula she's the Phoenix," She smiled, "and you are also to feed and clean the Abraxans outside the right way. Then beat the Hinky punks." She grinned. "When you're done, you may leave, and i will post your score on my notice board."

ooc - Ok, jsut RP your character doing all of these things. I will mark them here. The thread will be locked on the 11th.

Excelsior found it rather easy to describe the appearance of the phoenix. "Well, it's beautiful," he exclaimed. "It's about the same size as a swan, but with beautiful red and gold plumage and golden beak and talons." It's quitet the most lovely bird I've ever seen."

This part of the test had been easy.

Dan smiled " Well , the pheonix is a kind of bird i suppose you could say .. it has gold and red plumage. " he wandered if he had described the pheonix enough.

Dan then moved onto the Abraxans , he first conjured a large amount of malt wiskey for the abraxan to drink , to Dans relife it accepted , Dan then took to cleaning the animals hoofs and other parts of the Abraxan which needed cleaning.

Moving on to the hinkypunks he noticed they were misty one legged creatures and the light that it held was lureing him in , not wanting to get distracted he drew his wand " Lumos " the hinkypunk seemed to dissapear and Dan concentrated on only the light emitting from his wand.

After the tasks were complete he returned to the professor hoping for good marks.

Excelsior moved on to the next task, taking care of the abraxans. He knew how big and powerful they were, that he had to be very careful in handling them. He started with the single malt whisky. Carefully, he tilted the head of the giant creature back, holding the bottle in a way that it wouldn't injure it.

Cautiously, he moved behind the leg of the abraxan and began to clean its hooves. He made certain not to put himself in front of the creature, where it could kick him and possibly kill or injure him. Using the water and a cream, he continued to clean the animal. Finally, he gave it some more of the single malt liquor and fed it, then moved on to the next animal and completed the task exactly the same way.

The hinkypunks mystified him, but he knew they were trying to trick him to go further with their lights. He understood their lure, and he restrained himself and forced himself not to look at the lights. He summoned up a light of his own using "Lumos", concentrating all his attention on that light and away from the others and moved in the direction he knew was correct. They were distracting little creatures!

Excelsior was finished with his task.

Chloe walked into the classroom, it was brighter than usual, "Hello Professor Maline." she said with a smile. she took a seat in the middle of the class and got ready for the exam.

"well, the Phoenix is a bright red and has gold running through its feathers." Chloe finished describing the Phoenix as much as she could.

ooc: me too, i'm gonna finish the rest of the test tomorrow.

Marco laughed, "Well your phoenix looks like a phoenix. Red and gold feathers, bit on the flamey side." That was easy. How the hell did you clean out an abraxan?

Marco strolled up to the horses and conjured a bowl full of whisky and placed it in front of the horses. He strolled to the side of them and made the dirty stuff disappear. Didn't want to be kicked by them.

He then strolled to the hinkypunks. They were a bit smokey. Maybe bright light would get rid of it. Marco cast a bright Lumos spell at the Hinkypunk and it disappeared. He sighed and walked back to the teacher, hopefully good marks were in order.

Hermy smiled at the sight of the pheonix in all its glory. Of all the things she had studied this term in class, the firey bird in front of her must be her favourite, and she had been painting it from memory ever since. Describing it should not be too difficult, especially with having Azula present.

"Well Professor," Hermy started, "the pheonix is a magical bird that grows to about the size of a swan, so about one and a half metres. Its feathers are shades of red and crimson, with the tail feathers long and flowing like a peacock." As she spoke, Hermy pointed to the areas with excited gestures.

She continued. "Interesting to note is the fact that the body feathers glow slightly in the pitch black, and the tail feathers are burning hot to touch without wearing protective gloves." She smiled, getting into a steady flow of facts and recalled knowledge. "It can also be seen that the beak and claws are golden, and the eyes are black. Incidently, pheonix tears are healing, and are the antidote to basilisk poison." Hermy was definitely after full marks to get Ravenclaw points.

"It must be pointed out that the phoenix does not always have this beautiful appearance. As a phoenix approaches its Burning Day, it resembles a half-plucked turkey and makes gagging noises. Its eyes become very dull and its feathers fall out. It will then burst into flames, and a new straggling almost ugly creature is reformed from the ashes. Over the coming days, the pheonix regains it's former splendor."

Hermy crossed her fingers that she had covered everything correctly. She moved out of the door to the Abraxans.

Katelyn bit her lip, and thought for a moment about how to describe a phoenix.
"Well, Phoenix is, of course, a red color, yet the tail is a beautiful golden color. Its about the size of a swan, but its tail can stretch really big, i think about the size of a peacocks? Anyways, its claws and beak are a yellow gold and has black eyes," she said, reciting what she remembered, even if the bird was right there. She hoped she had described the bird sufficiently. She moved on to the next task.

Ari looked at the Pheonix and said, "Well, the Pheonix looks to be female, though it's quite difficult to tell sometimes because both mlae and females look the same in most cases." she began, then continued, "The Pheonix has red and gold plumes of feathers, which are quite strong since they can carry immense weight while flying. They are about the size of swans and are graceful.

"When the Phenoix dies, it's not completely gone, but is reborn from the ashes which it turns into when it died. It turns into a small ball of fire when the time is right and looks like an ugly duckling when reborn. Their death is called the Burning Day." Ari stopped and frowned a moment, then continued,

"The Pheonix's tears are very magical, they can heal anything, especially basilisk poisioning. Their talons are a golden color, which hold immense weight when called for. Their song is powerful and has healing qualities, which can make anybody feel better when they're down. It's very soothing to listen too." she finished, not quite knowing what else there was to say about them.

Si smiled when he herd what the exam was and taking out a bit of parchment he noted down all the things he could about Azula its about the same size as a swan with red and gold plumage, golden beak, and golden talons he noted and then looked up wondering if he missed anything.

Moving on to the Abraxan Si thought back to all the things that the professor had said about them and with his wand and produced a large bowl of whisky then very carefully placed it before the Abraxan and then begin to clean them. All the time making sure not to put himself in any position to be hurt by the large Abraxan.

Si smiled as he made is way over to the Hinkypunks. Blinking Si’s eyes glowed bright blue for a moment and then walked directly at the Hinkypunks light and then turned on the spot and made his way in the correct direction smiling the entire time, until he made his way over to Professor Maline and giving her a wink

Katelyn sighed as she made her way over to the Abraxans. She pushed a stool towards the huge creature, and stood up on it, staring the creature right in the eyes. She held a glass of single malt whiskey, and with the other she placed her hands under its jaw, and pressed firmly yet softly. The animal opened his mouth, and she pushed the goblet in his teeth, in case he snapped at her or some thing. He drank the whiskey, and when he was done she stepped down from the stool, satisfied with her work. Now, to clean him. She wracked her brains on how to clean them correctly.

She finally remebered, and went around, and stood by one of his huge hooves. She tapped it gently behind the knee, and it lifted its leg up, so she could clean it properly. She made a stream of water jet from her wand onto the Abraxans hoof. She scorigified the hoof dry, and let it drop down beside her. She then used the aquamenti charm to clean the wing.
"Oh, yeah the joints! With the crean stuff..." she remembered, and giggled. She somehoq got her hands on a jar of cream, and massaged the joint with the cream. She left it there for a few seconds, and then cleaned it out with water. She then sprayed the whole Abraxan with water. She nodded, pretty satisfied with her work, and went on to the next challenge.

Ray was ready for his exam, he had studied a lot and needed to do well, he read the instructions and started.
First to describe a phoenix.
"The phoenix is a magical bird that grows to about the size of a swan, so about one and a half metres. With beautiful gold and red plumage and the tail feathers long and flowing like a peacock. It can also be seen that the beak and claws are golden, and the eyes are black. Incidently, pheonix tears are healing, and are the antidote to most of poisons especially Basilik poison. At the end of its life-cycle, in other terms on Burning day the phoenix builds itself a nest of cinnamon twigs that it then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix arises almost ugly. Over the coming five days, the pheonix regains it's former splendor. At the burning day, the phoenix looks very frail and sound very week with very slow reflexes, it resembles a half-plucked turkey and makes gagging noises. Its eyes become very dull and its feathers fall out".
Ray then headed outside and approched the Abraxans, he got up on a podium while holding a bottle of wiskey, and started feeding the abraxans.
First, Ray placed his hands gently just under the jaw right back by the neck and pressed firmly with his fingers. He knew that he was doing it right because the Abraxan tipped her neck right back and open her mouth a bit. Very gently, he placed the top of the bottle just before the teeth, so if she decides to bite she'll get no glass in her mouth. He tipped it up slowly so she can start swallowing.
He climbed down the podium. Abraxans are like horses guessed Ray so their diet must consists of grasses, vegtables and fruits. Ray conjured a bath tub feeled with vegetables and fruits and grass to feed them properly.
He needed to clean out the hooves, he stood behind the leg, and tapped behind the knee gently, and ended up with the knee by his hip,che took the hoof in his hand, and gently clean it out with water, then mutterd "Scourgify!" and cleaned everything not cleaned by the water.
He went to the wing and he ran his hand over the top of the wing, and the Abraxan stretched it out. He muttered "Aguamenti!" as a jet of water rose from the tip of his wand, and he aimed it in the direction of the hair which is away from the bone and washed down. He didn't worry about drying him off, Abraxans take a quick flight and they're clean.
He then moved so she was at the wing joint and he took out a jar of cream which he got out from the professor's office. Getting up on the podium again. The wing joint attracts lots of dirt and can get stiff so he massaged it with the green cream gently, and cleaned it too. After that he dropped down from the podium.
For the rest of the Abraxan, Ray decided that a water charm in the direction of the hair will suffice. He pointed his wand at the Abraxan's hair and after muttering the spell he cleaned entirely the Abraxan that seemed happier then ever.

Now to beat and get rid of the Hinkypunks.
Being alert is the first step that helps in getting rid of Hinkypunks, Ray casted lumos when he saw a couple of lights hanging in mid-air, and concentrated his sight on the light imited by his wand. Ray decided to use a more sufficient method, he pointed his wand at the lights and started casting Reducto as he watched the lights disappear for more safety he first used a Homenum Revelio to reveal if the light was coming from a human before casting Reducto at them, when he finally arrived to the desk Ray knew that he passed that task and finished his care of magical creatures exam.

Bess was ready and began with confidence.

'The phoenix in this class,' she said, 'is swan like in shape, is has a very bright golden and red plumage indicating that it is in great shape and well cared after, a golden beak as well as golden talons.

Next she began cleaning the Abraxan horses after going outside.

She cast 'Scourgify' first to make the maximum dirt go off. Bess applied cream on the Abraxan's body taking special care to do it gently on the joints.She cleaned it's mane first by casting Aguamenti. Realising what was being done, the Abraxans stretched thier wings where Bess cast Aguamenti again.
Now she performed the same spell on it's body and each of it's hoof.
Now that the Abraxan was clean, she conjured a tub which she filled with single malt whiskey.

She procedec towards the marsh. She didn't let the Hinkypunks get the better of her and performed 'Lumos' to keep on the right way and never let herself get lured by the dark creatures. She got out of the marsh and there ended her exam.

Heather began noting every detail about the poenix.

She then moved on to the Abraxans.She thought back to all the things that the professor had said about them and with her wand and produced a large bowl of whisky then very carefully placed it before the Abraxan and then begin to clean them. All the time making sure not to put herself in any position to be hurt by the large Abraxan.

At Last she moved onto the Hinkypunk.She Went through and avoided the lighting dangling in front of her.When she made it through the marsh full of Hinkypunks she smiled slightly and left heading to the school.

Chloe quickly moved onto the next task. feeding and cleaning the Abraxan. She didn't everything she could remember, and it seems she did everything right, because the Abraxan just stood there while she cleaned it and fed it. now onto the hinkypunks.

this was where it got difficult for Chloe, she was very clumsy and wasn't very coordinated. she went about her way through the pretend marsh, careful not to follow any lights and she was surprised when she got to the end without following the hinkypunks into danger or the water.

after she finished her last exam, she left the classroom very happy and proud at herself.

Rapunzel eagerly began the CoMC final, all the while looking around for Kimberly. She leaned her head to the side and smiled gently at Azula, Professor Maline's phoenix.

"So pretty...." she mumured to herself, and then began to describe the beautiful bird. "Let's see........gorgeous scarlet plumage, approximately the size of an adult swan, long, golden tail, probably about as long as a peacock's, golden beak, and sharp golden talons," she finished with a grin. "And tears with amazing magical healing abilities to boot," she added unnecessarily before moving on to the next step.

Ryan goggled at the phoenix. "Well, professor, Azula is rather like a swan in size and shape, only it is covered in brilliant scarlet and golden plumage. It has long golden feathers for a tail. Also, it has a golden beak and golden talons."

Satisfied with his description of the beautiful bird, Ryan headed over to the Abraxans. He conjured a bowl of whisky and placed it in front of the creature. While the giagantic winged horse was occupied with the whisky, Ryan pointed his wand at the not-so-beastly beast and shouted "scourgify!" Most of the dirt was taken off, so he shouted "Aguamenti!" He lifted up the Abraxan's hooves and sprayed each with the jet of water erupting from the tip of his wand. Then he aimed the water spout at the mane.

Once the Abraxans were clean, he headed into the marshy area. Immediately, he cast "Lumos!" Knowing there were Hinkypunks in there, he made sure not to follow any lights - even if there were other students who might be near the end in there. Whenever a light got near him, he simply turned and went in another direction. Carefully, he avoided any potentially dangerous areas, such as ponds. Finally, he made his way out of the marsh and ran up to the professor, awaiting his marks. "So, how'd I do, Professor?"

Ariana, finished with describing the Phoenix walked out towards the two Abraxans and smiled as them. Stepping up to the female, the more cautious of the two creatures she stepped up to the platform and stood on it so she was a few inches off the ground. Walking up behind the creature, she stopped and stood behind the leg, tapping the area behind the knee gently but firmly. The leg moved up to where she could easily grab it and pull the hoof towards her.

Taking hold of the hoof in her right hand, she took out her wand in her left, and muttered, "Aquamenti" a small stream of water shot from her wand and she used this to clean off the dust and grim. Most o it came off, but some of the harder grit didn't, she used the Sourigfiy charm to get the rest, "Sourigfiy:" she muttered, washing away the rest. When she was finished with the one leg, she gave the Abraxan a small pat and moved on to its wing.

"I'll be gentle." She told it stroking the fathers gently. The wing jetted out for her and she smiled as she looked at it closely. The wing seemed fine; she so flicked her wand once more and muttered "Aquamenti." Again this time forcing more water out of its tip. Using a gentle stream of water she cleaned away the dust and dirt from the wing tip, making sure to follow the direction of the fur on the wing. She finished and looked at the wing, nodding to herself as she figured it was clean enough.

That finished, she went to the wing joint and picked up a small bottle of the green cream that was used for this purpose. Again, she took her wand and cleaned off the joint, but this time took a small portion of the cream and applied it around the joint to make sure it wouldn't seize up during flight. When it looked like it had been applied correctly she stopped, put the lid back on and put it down for the next person.

She stopped and frowned, thinking there was something else she should do, and then it hit hr, cleaning the body. Walking over to the female Abraxans middle, she flicked her wand again and began cleaning the fur, keeping in the direction of the fur. When she had cleaned a small portion of it, leaving enough for the others to do she stepped up to the front and smiled happily.

"You liked that, didn't you girl?" she asked gently as she stood in front of her, standing non top of a stool. Very carefully she placed her one hand under the jaw, right by the neck. Hoping she did it right, she watched with anticipation as the Abraxan tilted its head back, her eyes almost full of excitement at getting food. Ari almost chuckled before realizing this was an exam and went about and very gingerly placed the tip oft the bottle of Single Malt Whiskey onto the teeth and poured carefully. The Abraxan drank hungrily making Ari smile.

When the bottle was empty, Ari knew she was finished with the Abraxan. Wishing she could have rode it for extra marks she sighed and gave her a gentle pat before walking over to the next obstacle.


The next step was getting through the marsh without being stooped by the Hinkypunks. Taking a calming breath, she entered the marsh, her wand out and ready. She whispered, "Lumos." And looked around for any lights. There was one directly in front of her and she skirted around it, weary of which it might have been. There was no sound in the marsh so she couldn't call out and see if it was a student. Just as she passed the light, it moved away from her, heading in the other direction. Hinkypunk she knew and continued walking straight, nearly colliding with a puddle.

Shaking her head, she moved slowly, her wand moving in front of her lighting her way as she neared the ending. A small smile creased her features as she moved over a fallen tree, and took a deep breath as the ending came nearer, and she saw four lights ahead.

"Homenum Revelio" she muttered, casting the human spell to see if it were Humans were casting the lights or not. Nothing happened so she knew it was the creatures. Not wanting to hurt them she skirted around the lights, ignoring them as they followed her. Making her way past the lights she suddenly blinked as she hit the desk. She had beaten the marsh, without using any magic to try and get rid of the Hinkypunks.

Smiling happily she walked over to her desk and sat, glad she had finally gotten through the marsh without getting hurt like last time. She was very proud of herself and knew, or hoped that Maline was too.

Ginny looked closely at the phoinix and tried to remmber what she has learnt
"A phoinix is a swan sized bird" Ginny stopped in effort to remmeber her flash cards,"It has beutifull red and gold feathers, gold beak and talons" Ginny smiled and praise dher self silently for remmebering that much.
Ginny smiled Abraxan. She summond a large bucket full of single malt whiskey and offered it to the winged horse. To her luck it accepted and slowly and gently ginny becan to clean the animal. She cleaned the hoves groomed the mane and tail, and did everything she usually did to he poney back home.
Ginny didnt remmeber last time she was near a hinkypunck, so she moves slowely towards the small light, then quickly remmebringit could be hinkypuncks, she got out her wand and muttered "lumos" the marsh was lit well maybe becouse of the many students but also the small one legged smokey creature. Ginny kept her green eyes onlyon thelight of her want and briefly on the path ahead. She was stunned when she finnaly got out of the marsh it was brighter. AT least she didnt get hurt, which in ginnys case was very surprising. Grinning widely, she nodded at the prophessor and remmebering her instrucions to leave when we were done. She continuied her way up to the castle.

Jacqui looked at the pheonix, then said, "This beautiful creature is a swan-sized birdand has crimson feathers on its body and a golden tail as long as a peacock's. Its claws and beak are gleaming gold and its eyes are black."

Jacqui then went to the Abraxans and pulled out her wand. "Inanimatus Conjurus!" She said and a bowl of fire whisky appeared at the Abraxan's feet. "Tergeo!" She said after the Abraxan left the bowl clean. All the dirt vanished from the animal.

She moved on to the hinkypunks and noticed it's light. "Lumos!" She said, and a light appeared at the end of her wand. She concentrated on this light, and not the hinkypunk. She got to the end of the marsh and smiled, glad the exam was over. She then headed back to the castle, passing the notice board to see what she got.

Sana excited about the targets which was given by the professor for the final Exam. Firstly Describing about "Azula" the phoenix.
She looked at the Phoenix and studying its features. It looks so beautiful. "Well, professor, the phoenix looks so calm and seems in great good mood today. It has its natural, brilliant Gold and red Plumage. And it's exactly like a swan in shape and has a beautiful Golden feathery tail and big beaks and sharp talons. As a whole it's so loverly to see". She smiled at professor as she moved to the next task.

Feeding and cleaning the Abraxans. She moved towards the Abraxans and standing on the podium to get the clear view of them. She conjured a small bucket of malt whisky. Once the Abraxans started to relish the whisky, she stroked it's neck to make them cool and composed. She muttered "scourgify" to clean the animal. After removed the dirt from them she casted the spell "Aguamenti" steady and gentle stream was coming out of her wand. She cleaned them with the streaming water with utmost gentle touch. She had little difficulty while she cleaned the wings but finally she finished her work properly.

Now she moved to the marshy area to get past. She lit her wand with "Lumos". She saw the tiny lights moving here and there in a quite amount. She carefully walked through the marsh without made any contact with the lights and without followed by the Hinkypunks. There was one or two moments the lights came near to her. But she carefully avoided them and got past the marshy area.
Whoof!! She sighed mildly. She looked at the Professor as she expected the words from her about her work.
