A soothing song is coming from Professor Maline's indoor classroom, and sat on a rather large perch is a Phoenix, Professor Maline's newest pet. The door is open for you to sit down and make yourself comfortable on the bean bags and low desks, and cookies are spread about the classroom.
Professor Maline however, is sat on her desk, on her hands are a pair of gloves, and it's an idea that you wear yours too.

"They are a very magical substance and are suitable for Wand cores. They can make you feel weightless and can carry very heavy loads. They are also hot to touch. " Eliza recited everything she could think of about Phoenix feathers. Which wasn't really much since she usually skipped those types of notes.

Professor Maline said, then went about correcting their beliefs. "The tails main property is that they are unbelievably strong. Daphne, you were correct in saying that they can lift up to four people, but they can lift far more than that. However Eliza, a flaw in your answer is that the feathers don't make you feel weightless, it is that the Phoenix is strong enough to lift you effortlessly. Phoenix tail feathers are not hot to touch either, so that is another flaw. They can however be used in wand cores, so that is right, they can also be used for quills." Professor Maline said quickly, yet smiling all the time. "The Phoenix shares an ability with another creature, what is that animal, and what is the ability?" She asked the class, pleased with their enthusiasm.
